Definitions
- the invention relates to an apparatus and a method for Removing long-fiber foreign substances from tobacco before it Processing into cigarettes.
- the tobacco to be processed in a cigarette machine can despite the necessary care in harvesting and shipping contain foreign bodies and foreign substances by the producer, that must not get into the cigarette machine, damage to the machine and negative effects exclude the quality of the cigarettes. Grainy foreign bodies like metal parts, characterized by their shape and weight clearly distinguishable from tobacco can be separated by suitable Eliminate detectors relatively easily. On the other hand prepare fibrous components that have a similar consistency such as tobacco have significant problems. The especially applies to fibers that result from shipping occasionally loosen the jute sacks used and get into the tobacco. Such fibers differ from the tobacco particles practically only by their larger Length.
- a cleaning device is known from EP 046 63 49, with the pollutants and other substances removed from the tobacco become.
- This cleaning device has comb rollers on which the substance to be cleaned is given up.
- the comb rollers are provided with a layer with the small tick radially protrude outwards.
- This layer consists of the material known under the trade name "Velcro". To the protruding ticks of this layer get caught Pollutants that are present in tobacco, so that these foreign bodies circulate with the comb rollers.
- the comb rollers must therefore cleaned of foreign bodies at regular intervals become.
- the disadvantage of the device shown is the low Cleaning effect of the "Velcro" layer since the above Check marks are elastic, so that heavier foreign bodies are badly taken away from this layer. Further the cleaning layer has to be laboriously cleaned or replaced if it is clogged with foreign bodies.
- the invention has for its object a device create, with the help of long-fiber foreign matter from the Tobacco intended for processing in a cigarette machine can be removed.
- the degree of cleaning should be improved over known devices and a created an easy way to clean the detergent become.
- the device according to the invention has several in parallel juxtaposed rollers on their Outer periphery with a variety of radially outward facing Needles are provided and run in the same direction of rotation. Move the top peripheral surfaces of the rollers thereby moving and moving in essentially the same direction onto the rearmost roller in this direction of movement added tobacco one by one to the foremost roller. Small tobacco particles that fall between the rollers are caught underneath and added to the rest of the tobacco.
- All needles advantageously have the same length of 5 to 30 mm, preferably 10 mm, and a mutual Distance from 1.5 to 15 mm, preferably 3 mm.
- the between the tips of the needles of two adjacent rollers existing gap is 0.0 to 80 mm, preferably 50 mm wide, with an outside diameter of the rolls of 150 to 300 mm, preferably 200 mm.
- rollers can be arranged in an open housing be and lie next to each other at the same height. But it is also possible to arrange them inclined to the horizontal, so that there is a slight slope in the direction of the transported tobacco.
- rollers There are preferably two sets of rollers, alternately be loaded with the tobacco to be cleaned.
- the rollers provided with a scratch tape on its circumference are provided with a scratch tape on its circumference.
- a scratch tape is an elastic band from which is arranged obliquely Protruding steel needles. This scratch tape is easy to make, by putting a variety of staples through a tape with a textile layer and an elastic Plastic layer can be carried out. With the scratch tape the rollers with the needles protruding outwards easy and cheap to manufacture by putting the scraper tape on cylindrical rollers is wound.
- a cleaning device is provided, which between foreign substances attached to the needles are removed. This eliminates the tedious manual cleaning of the rollers so that none Rollers must be provided for replacement when the Rollers with foreign bodies are clogged. Such a cleaning device shortens the cleaning process, the Rolls are cleaned very thoroughly.
- the cleaning device preferably has at least one Cleaning roller, which is provided with knife disks.
- a simple and thorough cleaning can be achieved when the needles are arranged in rows and the knife disks engage between two rows of needles. In order to wear is also kept low, since the individual The needles are not damaged and the knife discs on the Comb soft roller surface.
- roller of the cleaning device in Is driven circumferentially, there is no separate Axial drive.
- the feed is rather from the rotating, spirally arranged needles that with friction against the side surfaces of the knife discs Device fit and the cleaning roller axially move forward.
- the device consists of a rectangular frame 1 with a support 2 arranged in the middle thereof, one Floor 3 bears.
- the bottom 3 is about the axis of the support 2 rotatable and also in the manner shown in Fig. 1 inclined towards the horizontal.
- On the floor 3 are next to each other two rectangular housing 4 arranged, consisting from a bottom and four side walls, while the top is open.
- each housing 4 are adjacent and axially parallel seven rollers 5 stored, each by a common Drive 6 are driven in the same direction of rotation.
- the Direction of rotation is such that the tops of the side by side Roll against the direction of the slope turn, i.e. the rollers 5 indicated in FIG. 1 rotate clockwise.
- the rollers 5 have a diameter of about 200 mm and are equipped with a large number of short needles 7 on its outer circumference, which protrude radially outwards.
- the needles are all the same length with a length of approx. 10 mm and are tight side by side.
- the individual rollers are spaced from each other that between the peaks opposite each other There is a distance of about 50 mm between the needles.
- a feed opens on the right for the tobacco to be processed in the form of a slide 8, while a removal conveyor is provided on the right, which in the illustrated embodiment formed as a conveyor belt 9 is.
- a removal conveyor is provided on the right, which in the illustrated embodiment formed as a conveyor belt 9 is.
- the housing 4 can also be placed on a suitable one Guide can be arranged horizontally.
- the tobacco is continuously on the chute 8 on the rollers 5 abandoned, which rotate at high speed.
- the short-fibered Tobacco particles are thereby from the top of the rollers with the needles taken along and arrive this way from one roller to the adjacent.
- Smaller tobacco particles, that are more grain-shaped occur occasionally through the narrow gap between the rollers and fall due to their own weight and the centrifugal force of the rollers on the bottom of the housing 4. These particles are on Exit end of the housing 4 again with the fibrous tobacco particles united.
- the drive 6 is stopped briefly and the waiting housing 4 by turning the Bottom 3 or moving the housing under the slide 9. Operation can then be resumed immediately.
- the Foreign substances are removed by suitable means.
- FIG. 4 is another exemplary embodiment of the invention shown, in which a cleaning device 10 is provided is.
- the cleaning device 10 is located above a Roller 5 and has two cleaning rollers 11 through a belt 13 and a drive unit 12 are driven.
- the cleaning device 10 is on a guide rail 14 movably supported by two guides 15 so that them along the guide rail 14 in the axial direction can be moved.
- the scratch tape consists of a textile layer, the facing the roller 5 and an elastic plastic layer, which is attached to the textile layer.
- Both layers are made up of a variety of staples Steel carried out above the elastic Plastic layer are slightly inclined.
- the tops of the Staples form the needles 7.
- the staples are included arranged in rows so that individual grooves 17 between neighboring needles 7 arise, which are a distance of about Have 1.5 mm.
- the surface is at the end of the needle tips perpendicular to the radial direction when the scraper belt is on the Roller 5 is applied. By the inclination of the individual Needles 7 result on the surface of the end of the needles 7 different angles on the edge to this surface.
- the cleaning rollers 11 have the same direction of rotation as that Roller 5 so that the cleaning rollers 11th arranged knife disks 18 and the roller 5 on the contact surface move in the opposite direction. Due to the spiral arrangement of the scratching tape and that through the individual needles 7 formed grooves 17, the entire cleaning device 10 moved in the axial direction. A drive for the feed not necessary.
- the hardened knife disc 18 several knife teeth 19, the circumferential angle 15 ° on the cutter disc 18.
- Each knife tooth 19 has on its front a cutting surface 20.
- the knife disc 18 is guided in the groove 17 formed by needles 7, the knife teeth 19 the foreign matter from the groove 17 remove.
- the foreign bodies are caused by the rotary motion the cutter disc 18 in the direction of rotation of the cutter disc 18 taken and sucked through a suction pipe 21.
- the suction pipe 21 has an attachment on the cleaning device is firmly mounted and therefore follows every movement.
- the Diameter is about 80 mm.
- the knife disks 18 on the cleaning rollers 11 are against each other staggered so that the knife teeth 19 of the a knife disk 18 are then in contact with the roller 5, if in the adjacent knife disc 18 just by a There is a gap between the teeth and the roller 5. This ensures an uninterrupted support of the cleaning rollers 11 the roller 5.
- the cleaning device 10 As soon as the cleaning device 10 reaches the edge region of a Has reached roller 5, the cleaning device from the Lifted roller 5 and placed on the next roller 5. On the next roller 5 is the scraper belt in the opposite Direction coiled spirally so that the cleaning device 10 from one end of the roller 5 to the other end the roller 5 is guided and thereby a meandering Cleaning pattern is created ..
- the cleaning process is always carried out when none Tobacco is transported over the rollers 5.
- the control of the Cleaning device can be done automatically or manually.
- the speed of the roller 5 to about 15% of their normal rotation speed better grasp and separate the foreign bodies on the roller 5 to be able to.
- the rotation speed of the cleaning roller 11 is approximately the same as the speed of rotation of the rollers 5 during the cleaning process.
