  • the present invention relates to caps for closing Containers.
  • the present invention relates Screw caps for both reusable bottles (MW) and disposable bottles (EW) from the material PET as well as for GDB bottles that Contains beverages containing carbon dioxide.
  • caps for closing GDB beverage bottles to keep the discussion clear. It however, it is expressly pointed out that the present Invention not on caps for GDB beverage bottles is limited, but is suitable for any type of container, such as for example also for food containers (so-called Tupper goods).
  • the closure cap according to the invention is preferably both for reusable bottles (MW) as well as for disposable bottles (EW) from the Material PET can be used.
  • Caps with which beverage bottles or similar containers can be closed have found widespread use. she generally have to meet different requirements. To the the sealing of the beverage bottles or containers must be such achieved that the drink contained in them in the closed or locked state can not emerge from the container. If the containers to be sealed are liquids containing bottles, then this requirement is due to the viscosity of the liquid. Are the drinks contained in the bottles in addition, with a pressurized gas such. B. Carbonated, then the seal must also be be gastight to prevent the gas from escaping from the bottle.
  • point Closure caps a device for sealing of the vessel or container.
  • a well known method for Sealing consists in the use of an elastic sealing ring, such as used in mason jars. With this The method of manufacturing the sealing cap and sealing ring is made separately and assembled after manufacture. How easy to see is this method by making two components costly and laborious. Another disadvantage of this method is from the daily Application known: The rubber ring slips relatively easily and this prevents the reliable sealing of the container.
  • sealing rings have already been proposed as have been formed as an integral part of the closure cap, which has many advantages.
  • EP-A-0 580 369 Such an example is known from EP-A-0 580 369, which one relates to such a one-component bottle stopper.
  • the cap has one that extends inward from the cap body Sealing lip, which is an integral part of the sealing cap.
  • the back pressure of the inner surface of the Sealing cap provides a gas-tight seal of the container the sealing lip.
  • Avoiding the closure cap is a multitude of themselves provided radially inwardly extending grooves, which the gluing should avoid.
  • EP-A-0 580 369 there are also deviations of the tolerance limits of the sealing lip and the bottle neck dimensions taken into consideration.
  • a closure cap which has a wedge-shaped sealing lip is from FR-A-2 420 505 known. However, this cap does not provide a satisfactory seal.
