- caps for closing GDB beverage bottles to keep the discussion clear. It however, it is expressly pointed out that the present Invention not on caps for GDB beverage bottles is limited, but is suitable for any type of container, such as for example also for food containers (so-called Tupper goods).
- the closure cap according to the invention is preferably both for reusable bottles (MW) as well as for disposable bottles (EW) from the Material PET can be used.
- Caps with which beverage bottles or similar containers can be closed have found widespread use. she generally have to meet different requirements. To the the sealing of the beverage bottles or containers must be such achieved that the drink contained in them in the closed or locked state can not emerge from the container. If the containers to be sealed are liquids containing bottles, then this requirement is due to the viscosity of the liquid. Are the drinks contained in the bottles in addition, with a pressurized gas such. B. Carbonated, then the seal must also be be gastight to prevent the gas from escaping from the bottle.
- point Closure caps a device for sealing of the vessel or container.
- a well known method for Sealing consists in the use of an elastic sealing ring, such as used in mason jars. With this The method of manufacturing the sealing cap and sealing ring is made separately and assembled after manufacture. How easy to see is this method by making two components costly and laborious. Another disadvantage of this method is from the daily Application known: The rubber ring slips relatively easily and this prevents the reliable sealing of the container.
- sealing rings have already been proposed as have been formed as an integral part of the closure cap, which has many advantages.
- EP-A-0 580 369 Such an example is known from EP-A-0 580 369, which one relates to such a one-component bottle stopper.
- the cap has one that extends inward from the cap body Sealing lip, which is an integral part of the sealing cap.
- the back pressure of the inner surface of the Sealing cap provides a gas-tight seal of the container the sealing lip.
- Avoiding the closure cap is a multitude of themselves provided radially inwardly extending grooves, which the gluing should avoid.
- EP-A-0 580 369 there are also deviations of the tolerance limits of the sealing lip and the bottle neck dimensions taken into consideration.
- a closure cap which has a wedge-shaped sealing lip is from FR-A-2 420 505 known. However, this cap does not provide a satisfactory seal.
- the object of the invention is therefore to improve the sealing of a To allow the container through a cap without unnecessarily complicating the manufacture of such a closure cap or to make it more expensive.
- the seal according to the present invention achieved in that a plurality of projections is provided, the one press the wedge-shaped sealing lip against the upper edge of the container, which creates a sealing zone in which the sealing lip with high pressure is pressed against the upper edge of the container.
- the Projections according to claim 1 enable targeted positioning the sealing lip on the container rim under a high Edition print. This leads to a very good seal Closure process is made possible without the cap unnecessarily complicate.
- Claim 2 describes a sealant according to another Embodiment which engages in the opening of the container.
- This second sealant has a shoulder on the inside of the Container rests, creating a second sealing zone.
- the claim 3 relates to an embodiment that for the width of the Sealing lip has certain dimensions, which can be extensive Comparative tests have proven to be particularly advantageous.
- the claim 4 relates to an embodiment, one for the Sealing particularly effective shape of the cap body claimed.
- Claims 5 and 6 relate to exemplary embodiments that differ for sealing particularly effective properties of the Stress the sealing lip.
- the claim 7 relates to an embodiment, one for the Sealing claimed particularly effective nature of the cap body.
- the claims 8 and 9 relate to embodiments that one in With regard to the sealing effect, particularly advantageous shape of the Concern sealing lamella.
- the claim 10 relates to a cap, according to which with the interacting surface of the container to be sealed Sealant a scale-like or structured surface having.

- the width B is preferably in Area between 3.8 and 4.5 cm. This ensures that the entire Top edge 104 of the bottle 100 through the circular in the cap body 10 encircling sealing lip 13 substantially completely applied is when the cap body 10 is screwed onto the bottle 12 is.
- the wedge-shaped, long, thin sealing lip 13 fits in their profiling to different bottle necks if during of the closing process normal torques on the cap be exercised.
- the sealing lip 13 can adapt to any radius of curvature to adjust.
- the bottle neck of a reusable bottle is smaller at 20.7 mm than the disposable bottle, whose inner diameter is 21.6 mm.
- the sealing lip 13 also lies inwards in the Bottleneck into it.
- the closure cap according to the invention sits under all conceivable environmental conditions close to the Bottle.
- the sealing lip 13 with a certain thickness profile to provide is indicated by the reference character D in Figure 1.
- Extensive comparative tests in which the sealing behavior of the cap tested with different thickness sealing lips have shown that the sealing lip 13 preferably on their Root is 3/10 mm to 7/10 mm thick and at its tip a thickness of not more than 5/10 mm and not less than 2/10 mm should, and according to a particularly preferred embodiment between 2/10 mm and 4/10 mm.
- These values have to be locked GDB glass bottles using standard plastic materials for the cap body 10 proved to be particularly advantageous.
