Definitions

  • the invention relates to warp knitted panties made of two congruent knitted fabric webs, which are knitted into one another at right angles to their production direction across the web width to form side seams, and which are interwoven in the middle between two side seams starting from one of the longitudinal web edges to form a gusset area.
  • Panties of this type are known from DE-OS 19 57 976 and DE-OS 30 04 469. As described in these publications, they are preferably produced from continuous knitted fabric webs and are finished by separating individual panties from the knitted fabric webs. They are used in particular to fix diaper pads in the medical field in post-operative situations and as an aid to the problem of incontinence. There are no significant differences in the manufacture and use of the panties described in the two publications mentioned above; the former are cheaper to manufacture, while the latter offer improved adaptation to the anatomy of the wearer.
  • the material of the warp knitted fabric is highly stretchable and can be stretched to about three times its length without being destroyed, it has not been possible to dispense with the production of different sizes for carriers of different sizes, since when stretching the panties the gusset area becomes anatomically incorrectly widened. This fact is acceptable as long as the wearer individually procures and maintains his personal needs. The situation is more problematic in the area of the hospitals, where patients of different sizes have to be regularly looked after with suitable panties.
  • panties must be included in the packaging unit for every 20 diaper pads. With a panties in only one size, to which the addition must be limited for economic reasons, only a third of the need can be met satisfactorily.
  • Panties with these features already adapt to the physique of the wearer when they are pulled on by tearing open the corresponding connection points in such a way that the above-mentioned tension in the material which is intolerable to the wearer is immediately reduced by finding the suitable size of the panties through the corresponding separation processes.
  • connection points are arranged along individual lines parallel to the side seam, in normal physique all the separation points of a line will tear open under excessive load, so that the panties gradually move from the smallest to the next or step by step up to the last size.
  • two lines are to be provided so that the three sizes previously available in the trade can be covered with one type of panties production.
  • connection points are arranged distributed within a region parallel to the side seams according to a grid, the connection points can always start from the inside separate irregularly or unsystematically so that an individual adaptation to the physique of the wearer, for example to extreme abdominal widths or other anatomical special cases, can take place.
  • the invention and the aforementioned embodiments are to be used both in the case of panties whose leg openings are formed by otherwise free side edges of the two knitted fabric webs which are connected to one another only in the gusset region, and in the case of panties in which slits in one of the knitted fabric webs represent the leg openings during the two congruent knit fabric webs are connected together along one of their side edges. Both forms are known from the prior art cited at the beginning.
  • the invention can also be used without restriction on panties which are produced with an interlocking gusset region which extends into the webs and is cut from the side edges. In this way, panties with leg attachments are created according to DE-OS 19 57 976, the content of which is referred to here.
  • the threads used for the connection points are designed and incorporated in such a way that their tearing does not damage the base material of the knitted fabric webs, so that holes in the material cannot emanate from here. This can be caused by the fact that there are additional threads in the material of the knitted fabric webs which are parallel to interlaced threads, but which do not participate in the interlinking but only form the connection points, so that the tearing of the connection points does not impair the interlinking of the material as a whole. Appropriate techniques are part of the specialist knowledge.
  • panties are usually not produced as individual pieces, although this would in principle also be possible, but instead are continuously attached to one another with double-width seam regions, the individual panties arising in each case when these double-width seam regions are mechanically separated.
  • the material of the side seams i.e. H. in particular the threads producing the connection between the two knitted fabric webs, should be designed such that the side seams tear open to a limited extent from the leg openings when the load is increased, without destroying the web material, if the connection points in the area of the leg openings have previously been completely torn. In this way, the leg openings can be adapted to particularly strong thighs.
  • panties 21 which consist of two identical knitted fabric webs 1, 2, the direction of manufacture in the longitudinal direction of the webs, ie. H. runs from one panties to the next.
  • the knitted fabric webs 1, 2 are knitted into one another at right angles to the direction of manufacture on double-width side seams 3.
  • the lower exposed edges 4, 5 are each knitted in the middle between two side seams 3 at gusset areas 7 along the edges or starting from the edges. In this way, two leg holes 6 are formed.
  • Dashed dividing lines 10 indicate that the double-width side seams 3 are mechanically separated in the center, transverse to the longitudinal direction of the knitted fabrics 1, 2, in order to separate individual panties.
  • the body entry openings 11 of the panties 21 are formed on the upper edges 8, 9, of which only one is visible.
  • panties 22 are shown, which are also made of two congruent knitted fabric webs 1, 2, the direction of their manufacture in the longitudinal direction of the web, ie from one panties to the next. These are also interwoven like a repeat across the direction of manufacture in double-width side seams 3. Furthermore, the webs 1, 2 are connected to one another at the lower edges 4, 5, the one of the webs 1 being slots at a distance from these two edges to represent leg holes 6. The intervening gusset area 7 results here without further ado from the material of the upper knitted fabric web 1.
  • FIG 3 a single panties 21 is shown in the manner of Figure 1, on which the body entry opening 11, the leg openings 6 and the gusset 7 can be seen.
  • the body entry opening 11 and the leg openings 6 each extend up to the side seams 3.
  • they are each essentially closed by two rows of connection points 12, 13.
  • connection points 12 are arranged in such a way that the individual connection points within the rows lie closer to one another than the rows to one another.
  • the connection point adjacent in this row is subjected to a higher load than the nearby fastening points 13 in outer rows.
  • a panties 22 of the type shown in FIG. 2 is shown in FIG. 4, the body entry opening 11 and the leg openings 6 as well as the gusset region 7 in between being recognizable here.
  • the body entry opening 11 and the leg openings 6 extend as far as the side seams 3, but are essentially still closed in a region parallel to the side seams 3. This is brought about by grid-like fastening points 14, which are evenly spaced from one another in this exemplary embodiment.
  • While dressing the trousers can separate the connection points 14 depending on the load, so that, for example, the fastening points located within a first dashed line a tear open as shown on the left or all fastening points located within a second dashed line b as shown on the right, so that the panties adapt certain anatomies such as wide hip (a) or pot-bellied (b).
  • the effective cross section of the body entry opening 11 and the leg openings 6 increases accordingly.
  • the arrangement of the fastening points in FIG. 3 can also be used for a pant according to FIG. 4 and vice versa the arrangement of the fastening points according to FIG. 4 for a pant 11 according to FIG. 3. which leads to a limited separation of the side seams from the leg openings when the pants are put on under increased load.
