- this reconsolidation which causes the non-driven packer roller due to its weight and its profile, it is inevitable that solidified soil material adheres to the cylindrical jacket of the packer roller and rotates with it. As a result, more and more soil material builds up, which eventually leads to malfunctions and deteriorates the quality of the soil surface.
- This scraper which is designed as a flat plate that extends axially over the smooth cylindrical jacket areas of the packer roller, is generally attached so that the free part is inclined at an acute angle to the direction of rotation of the packer roller and thus with an edge of its end face on this is present. Due to the impacting soil, this edge of the scraper is ground off after a short period of operation, so that a surface running parallel to the roller jacket is created. The wear zone in the area of the edge is very small, so that the scraper wears out very quickly. - the spoon-like design which can be realized by means of an arch or angled shape, has the surprising effect that a receiving space is offered to the incoming floor material, which promotes the formation of an earth stocking. These earth trimmings provide effective wear protection for the scraper underneath.
- Another feature of the invention is that the scraper is pressed against the lateral surface by the reaction force of the incoming earth current and not, as in the known case, away from it.
