Definitions
- the invention relates to a dosing pump made of plastic for dispensing dosed quantities of low-viscosity, in particular paste-like media from a bottle, can or tube-like container with a spring-elastic bellows as a pumping element, which connects between a dimensionally stable, upper housing part and a lower, coaxial and telescopically movable, likewise dimensionally stable housing part is arranged and the interior of which forms a pumping chamber through which the medium is pumped, its upper end section sealing against an annular wall of a radial intermediate wall of the upper housing part provided with at least one paste passage and / or one outlet valve and its lower end section sealing abuts an annular collar of a radial partition of the lower housing part, and wherein the upper housing part has an outlet opening and the lower housing part is provided with an intake valve connecting the container to the pumping chamber and with an intake pipe socket through which the intake valve can be connected or connected to the container.
- a metering pump of the generic type is known for example from DE-U-88 00 880.
- the intermediate wall of the upper, telescopic housing part guided in the lower housing part is provided with a pipe socket directed downwards against the partition or the suction valve, which is sealingly enclosed by a reinforced annular collar of the bellows.
- this pipe socket is provided with a conical valve seat ring surface on which a closing member rests, which resiliently rests on the end wall of the upper, two-part housing part and is axially movably guided in the pipe socket by means of an axial cross rib.
- the upper housing part consists of two latching hollow bodies, one of which has a cylindrical guide wall with which it is guided in an axially movable manner in the lower housing part between two end positions.
- the second hollow body of the upper housing part which is inserted in a protruding cylindrical wall section above the intermediate wall, has an eccentric, channel-like outlet opening which runs parallel to the axis and which is directly connected to a cavity in which the closing element of the dispensing valve is arranged and which is connected to the interior of the bellows via this dispensing valve, while the upper housing part as a whole is relative moved down to the lower housing part in the course of a conveying stroke.
- a paste dispenser is also already known (US-A-4 438 871), which, however, as the pumping organ does not have a bellows, but two manually operated pump pistons, which, in cooperation with suction valves, simultaneously operate two media from two concentrically one inside the other Aspirate separate paste containers, each provided with a trailing piston, and convey them via separate channels into a storage space which is arranged directly in front of an outlet opening.
- This storage space encloses a plunger-like closing element which is arranged on an elastic membrane wall acted upon by the delivery pressure of the medium.
- the two pump pistons are arranged coaxially to one another, rigidly connected to one another and provided with a common actuating element which is actuated manually.
- the pump pistons are provided with different diameters.
- the likewise coaxial, cylindrical pump chambers, which are connected to the separate paste containers via suction valves, are connected to two separate guide channels via separate outlet valves, which are arranged approximately axially parallel, eccentrically to the pump chambers and open into the storage space.
- the invention has for its object to provide a metering pump of the type mentioned while maintaining the manufacturing simplicity, which results in particular from the use of a bellows as a pumping element, with a second pumping chamber, through which a second medium from a divided medium is simultaneously used with a first medium Container space of the same container or from a second separate container can be transported separately from the first medium to a common or separate discharge opening.
- a second pumping chamber for a second medium which is formed by a second Exhaust valve and / or at least one passage opening of the intermediate wall is connected to the outlet opening and is connected on the suction side via at least one eccentric suction channel in the partition of the lower housing part to an annular space of the container surrounding the suction nozzle or to a second container.
- the bellows is the only pumping element at the same time in two separate pumping chambers effective, through which two media can be pumped separately in different proportions and transported to a common or separate outlet openings.
- the means used consist of molded elements which are integrally formed on components which are already present, a further important advantage being that that the assembly is by no means more complex due to the added form elements.
- the paste dispenser shown in FIGS. 1 and 1a has an integrated metering pump 1 as the head part.
- This consists essentially of two cylindrical housing parts 2 and 3, a bellows 4, a suction valve 5 and an outlet valve 6. While the two housing parts 2 and 3 consist of hard, dimensionally stable plastic, the bellows 4 consists of a softer, form-elastic plastic which at the same time is able to apply the restoring forces required for the pumping process for the housing part 2 relative to the housing part 3.
- the metering pump 1 is provided with an easily removable protective cap 7 which can be removed in use.
- the housing part 2 consists of a cylindrical housing lower part 8 and a form-fitting and non-positively connected upper housing part 9 with an outlet opening 10 which forms the outer end of an outlet channel 11.
- the upper housing part 9 is provided with an oblique, top ribbed cover wall 12, to which a sealing on an intermediate wall 13 of the lower housing part 8 seated, essentially cylindrical chamber wall 14 is formed.
- This chamber wall 14 encloses an outlet chamber 15 which is connected to the outlet channel 11 and is in turn surrounded by a likewise cylindrical annular channel wall 21 which encloses an annular channel 22 which communicates with the outlet channel 11 via two lateral openings 23 and 24.
- the annular channel wall 21 also sits on the intermediate wall 13 in a sealing manner.
- the outlet channel 11 and the outlet opening 10 have the cross-sectional shape of an elongated hole which is horizontal when the axis of symmetry 1 'is in a vertical position and which is made up of two semicircular arches 10/1, 10/2 and two parallel walls 11/1 connecting them. 11/2 is limited.
- the inner sides of the semicircular arches 10/1, 10/2 are each provided with axially parallel guide ribs 57 which form strip channels 58 through which the second medium is added in strips to the output strand of the first medium.
- the lower housing part 8 projects with a lower, cylindrical guide section 16 into a guide cylinder 17 of the housing part 3, so that it can be moved by an axial stroke H between an inner annular rib 18 of the guide cylinder 17 and a radial wall 19 of the housing part 3.
- a cylindrical annular wall piece 30 is formed in one piece and concentrically to the bellows 4, which sealingly and telescopically accommodates a likewise cylindrical, upwardly directed annular wall piece 31, which in turn is integrally formed on the radial wall 19 of the lower housing part 3.
- the inner diameters of these two ring wall connections 30 and 31 are selected such that they have a certain radial distance from the circumference of the bellows 4 and thus form a second, annular pump chamber 33 together with the bellows 4.
- the first pump chamber 32 is formed in a known manner from the cavity of the bellows 4.
- the second pumping chamber 33 communicates with the annular channel 22 through a plurality of axially parallel passage openings 34 in the intermediate wall 13.
- the outlet valve 6 has a closing cone formed as a hollow body, which is guided by means of an axial cross rib 40 in the cylindrical pipe socket 35 and which is provided at its upper end with an axially elastic annular collar 41, which on the plane lower edges 42 of several radial Ribs 43 of the upper housing upper part 9 resiliently and which presses the lower boundary edge 44 of the closing member 39 sealingly against the valve seat ring surface 20.
- This collar 41 points in the Drawing not visible openings through which the medium can flow axially.
- the lower end of the bellows 4 has an annular wall 45 which sealingly surrounds a cylindrical wall 46 of a concentric, pot-like receptacle 47 projecting in the dispensing direction.
- This receptacle 47 has on the one hand an annular end wall 48, on which a downwardly directed connecting piece 49 is integrally formed.
- This connection piece 49 has a cylindrical inner surface 50 and a downwardly tapering outer jacket surface 51.
- An axially movable closing element 52 of the intake valve 5 is seated in this connection piece 49, which abuts a conical valve seat surface 54 with a conical closure plate 53.
- the closing member 52 is provided on the underside of the closure plate 53 with a cross rib 55, through which it is guided on the cylindrical inner surface 50 of the connecting piece 49.
- a total of three holding fingers 56 are arranged on the top of the annular end wall 48 of the receiving socket 47, which prevent the closing element 52 from falling out.
- the housing part 3 is in one piece, preferably cylindrical or in cross section formed on the elliptical envelope body 60, which serves to completely accommodate a paste container 61 provided with a suitable cross-sectional shape and which has a thickened, circumferential edge bead 62 at its lower end.
- the relatively thin-walled paste container 61 is provided with a trailing piston 64 inserted into its open lower end 63 and has at its lower end 63 an annular collar 67 forming an annular groove 67 with the somewhat conically widening end section 65 of its casing wall 66, the one with internally directed upper edge 69 is provided.
- the thickened edge bead 67 of the enveloping body 60 can be inserted into this annular groove 67 in a latching manner when the paste container 61 is inserted into the enveloping body 60 from below.
- the bead 62 and the annular collar 68 each give the lower ends of the enveloping body and the paste container 61 increased dimensional stability, which makes handling easier insofar as when inserting and removing the paste container 61 into or from the enveloping body 60 to avoid undesired deformations special attention needs to be paid.
- the paste container 61 (FIG. 3) has a collar 72 protruding against the suction valve 5 of the metering pump 1 on an end wall 71.
- This Collar 72 is provided with an inwardly directed sealing ring 74 which is integrally formed on an end wall ring 73 and on which a cup-shaped separating closure 76 is integrally molded via a thin annular separating web 75 (FIG. 3).
- This opener plunger 78 is provided with a plurality of pressure fingers 79 which, when the collar 72 of the paste container 61 is inserted into the receptacle 47 of the housing part 3, separate the separating closure 76 from the sealing ring 74 and, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 1a, into the interior of the paste container 61 slide.
- a cylindrical suction nozzle 80 is formed on the end wall 71 of the paste container 61 as an extension of the collar 72 directed downward into the interior of the container.
- the annular chamber 81 surrounding this suction port 80 is provided for receiving a second medium which is to be pumped through the second pump chamber 32, the passage openings 34 and the annular channel 22 into the discharge channel 11.
- the radial wall 19 of the housing part 3 is provided with one or more, preferably three, suction channels 82, which are arranged in the radial region lying between the wall 46 and the annular wall socket 31 and open into the second pump chamber 32.
- these suction channels 82 are extended by sleeve-like projections 83, which at the same time serve to pierce separating closures 84 of the end wall 71, which are arranged eccentrically outside the suction nozzle 80, and to establish the connection to the annular chamber 81 of the paste container.
- the lower end edges of the lugs 83 are sharp-edged and, so that the separating fasteners 84 are also folded to the side when they are separated, the lower end edges of the extensions 83 are designed to run obliquely.
- the opening plunger 78 is connected to the connecting piece 49 by means of axial webs 77, the paste located in the paste container 61 can flow into the connecting piece 49 almost unhindered or through it are sucked into the inside of the bellows 4 while the housing part 2 moves upwards again after a downward lifting movement. At the same time, a substantially smaller amount of the second medium is drawn from the annular chamber 81 into the second pump chamber 33, which is smaller in volume.
- an elastic, annular valve lip 85 is formed on the circumference of the lower, cylindrical end section 35 of the bellows 4 for valve-like closing of the suction channels 82 or for forming a second suction valve 5 ′ for the second pumping chamber 33, which prevents the medium from flowing back out of the second pumping chamber 33 prevented in the suction channels 82, but which allows the second medium to flow into the second pumping chamber 33 during the suction process.
- the passage openings 34 of the intermediate wall 13 are covered on the upper side by an elastic annular lip 34/1 in the manner of a one-way valve; the annular lip 34/1 thus forms a second outlet valve 6 '.
- This annular lip 34/1 is underlaid on the end face of the annular channel wall 21 and centered thereon by means of an inner centering projection 34 '.
- the radial wall 91 of the trailing piston 64 is provided in the center with an annular recess 92, into which the suction port 80 and the Can open plunger 78 and, if necessary, the detachable closure 76.
- FIGS. 8 to 11 Another paste dispenser is shown in FIGS. 8 to 11, with an enveloping body 60/1 formed on an elongated-round partition 100 of a lower housing part 3/1, which at the same time has two cylindrical, cartridge-like paste containers 61/1 provided with trailing pistons 101 and 61/2 interchangeably accommodated directly next to each other.
- the enveloping body 60/1 has two semicircular wall sections 107, 108 which are arranged symmetrically with respect to an axis of symmetry 106 and which are connected to one another by parallel straight wall sections 109, 110. Both paste containers 61/1, 61/2 can, but do not have to have the same shape.
- Your upper end walls 102, 103 are each provided near the edge, that is, with eccentrically arranged, cylindrical connection openings 104, 105, which in the original state, for. B. are closed by break-out or in the container interior pushable closure lid.
- the lower housing part 3/1 of a metering pump 1/1 is integrally formed offset in relation to the symmetry axis 106, which is basically constructed in the same way as the metering pump 1 of the exemplary embodiment described above. The differences between these two metering pumps 1 and 1/1 will now be discussed in more detail here.
- the upper housing part 2/1 differs from the housing part 2 only in that the ring wall socket 30/1 forming the upper radial boundary of the second pumping chamber 33/1 has a larger diameter, so that the second pumping chamber 33/1 receives the same pump volume as that first pump chamber 32.
- the lower annular wall socket 31/1 which projects telescopically and sealingly into the upper annular wall socket 30/1 and is formed on the upper side of the partition wall 100, is provided with a larger diameter.
- the upper cylindrical end section 38/1 of the bellows 4/1 encloses an annular wall 36/1 concentrically surrounding the pipe socket 35 at a radial distance.
- On the outer surface of this end section 38/1 is an upwardly curved, forming the movable closing element of a second outlet valve 111, Elastic ring lip 112 is formed, which rests sealingly in the return flow direction on the inner surface of the ring wall socket 30/1.
- the lower cylindrical end portion 45/1 of the bellows 4/1 sits sealingly in an upwardly directed annular collar 47/1, which is connected to the annular wall socket 31/1 of the partition 100 forms an open top ring channel 113.
