Definitions
- the invention relates to a fire damper consisting of a frame with an air passage opening and a flap wing arranged in the frame, which is adapted approximately to the cross section of the frame.
- Such fire dampers are commercially available in a variety of forms. They are usually integrated in an air duct system, for example in an air conditioning system, and serve to block the air duct in this system in the event of a fire, so that a fire in a room no longer receives food and, on the other hand, a fire does not spread the air duct system can spread to other rooms.
- the flap In normal operation of the air duct system, the flap is in the open position, i.e. usually tilted in the direction of air flow. For this reason, such flap vanes usually have axially penetrating axle shafts around which the flap vanes rotate.
- other articulations of the flap wing are also conceivable here and are intended to be encompassed by the present invention.
- the flap is usually held in the open position by a fusible link or the like.
- a fusible link or the like When elevated temperatures occur, usually above 72 ° C, this solder melts and releases a mechanism by which the flap wing is turned in the closed position. So that the flap wing can optimally perform its function in this closed position, the flap wing must be adequately sealed from the frame. This seal represents a major problem, especially since the flap wing curls as the temperature rises, thus enlarging an existing edge gap between the frame and the flap wing.
- the inventor has set itself the goal of developing a fire damper of the type mentioned above, in which an optimal sealing of the air passage openings is achieved by the flap wing in the event of a fire.
- the edge of the flap wing is at least partially covered with a sealing element or material that expands or foams at elevated temperature and / or the flap wing is assigned at least one stop angle in its closed position, which at least partially seals the flap wing to the frame.
- the sealing material for the edge of the flap wing relative to the frame is primarily a plastic material which begins to foam at elevated temperatures and thus closes the gap between the flap wing and frame. It is preferred that this sealing material is embedded on the edge in corresponding receiving grooves in the flap wing. As a result, the sealing material does not interfere with the normal operation of the flap wing.
- the receiving groove is formed by a cross-sectionally U-shaped profile strip, which then forms the peripheral edge of the flap wing.
- This profile strip also facilitates the assembly of the flap wing, since, for example, a groove can be formed on the lateral legs of the U-shaped profile strips, into which a corresponding front or back plate of the flap wing is inserted. In this way, a hollow flap wing is obtained, which can then be filled with appropriate insulating material, which can withstand elevated temperatures and also counteracts deformation of the flap wing.
- the foaming or expanding sealing element or material is covered by a rail. If the material lies in the receiving channel, this rail should be U-shaped in cross section and should be able to be inserted into the receiving channel. If the material then expands, it presses the rail against the frame and thus closes the gap between the flap wing and the frame.
- the flap wing is at least partially covered with a reinforcing strip on the edge.
- This reinforcing strip is expediently located under the sealing element or material.
- a suitable thickness is selected for the reinforcement strip so that arching of the flap wing is counteracted.
- reinforcement strips of this type are in any case arranged on the edge, so that the axle shaft has a corresponding holder.
- a profile is stamped around the flap wing in the closed position in the frame.
- This profile can be directed outwards so that the expanding or foaming material or the rail slides into a corresponding channel.
- the profiling takes place from the outside, so that the frame raises a wall inwards, against which the rail then strikes and against which the rail rests in a sealing manner.
- stop brackets hold additional sealing elements or materials that expand or foam especially in the event of a fire. This ensures a further very good sealing of the gap between the flap wing and the frame in the closed position of the flap wing.
- the stop brackets form a circumferential channel which is assigned to the gap between the flap wing and the frame. Furthermore, this channel should preferably be filled with two different sealing materials.
- One, namely the upper sealing material consists, for example, of normal sealing strips, which also enable a certain sealing of the flap wing in normal operation. Even in normal operation, the flap is closed under certain circumstances, these sealing strips then take over the appropriate sealing.
- a fire damper R consists of a frame 1 which forms a square housing for a damper wing 5.
- Side strips 2 are folded on all sides of the frame 1.
- two side strips 2 are connected by screws, rivets 3 or the like with fastening angles 4.
- fastening angles 4 For fastening the frame 1 to channels of an air guidance system, not shown in detail, these fastening angles 4 each have an elongated hole 6 in their corner regions.
- a circumferential profiling which has a U-shaped shape, is formed approximately in the center of the frame 1. This profiling creates a groove 7 in the frame 1 at the top and bottom, since it points outwards, while it is directed laterally inwards and thus forms a wall 8.
- the flap wing 5 is supported in these side walls 8.
- bearing sleeves 13 are formed out of the side walls 8 according to FIG. 4, which encompass corresponding bearing shells 14.
- the bearing shells 14 are penetrated by an axle shaft 12 which rotates in these bearing shells 14.
- the axle shaft 12 is rectangular in cross section, so that when it rotates about the axis A of the flap 5 can be moved in the direction z.
- an adjusting lever 15 On the right side of the axle shaft 12, an adjusting lever 15 is pushed on and connected to the axle shaft 12 in a rotationally fixed manner via a pin 16.
- This control lever 15 is attacked by a spring 17, which causes the flap leaf 5 to be rotated in the closed position via the control lever 15.
- the adjusting lever 15 In the open position, the adjusting lever 15 is held by a fusible link, not shown, so that the flap wing 5 is open. Only when this fusible link breaks as a result of an increase in temperature, in particular above 72 ° C., does the axle shaft 12 rotate counter to the direction of rotation z, which is done by actuating the actuating lever 15 by means of the spring 17.
- Both the control lever 15 and the opposite bearing of the axle shaft 12 are provided with a cover 18 and 19, respectively.
- the flap wing 5 itself consists of sheet steel plates 9, between which an insulation, for example made of glass fiber material 10, rock wool material, plaster 11 or another insulating material, is arranged.
- the sheet steel plates 9 are kept at a distance from one another by circumferential profile strips 20.
- Each profile strip 20 is U-shaped, the respective lateral legs of the U forming a groove 21 for the steel sheet plates 9 by means of an envelope. In this way, the profile strips 20 encompass the sheet steel plates 9 with their side legs and form a receiving groove 22 on the outside (see FIG. 3).
- a reinforcing strip 23 is inserted, which has sufficient strength so that it can serve as a stiffening of the flap wing 5. It is also used for storage, i.e. the mounting of the axle shaft 12. For this purpose, it should be advisable to fix the reinforcing bar 23 in the receiving groove 22.
- the receiving channel 22 is covered by an inserted rail 24, which rail 24 also overlaps the reinforcing strip 23.
- a material 26 which foams under the influence of temperature.
- the flap wing 5 is closed when a certain temperature is exceeded. Due to the effect of temperature, the material 26 foams and presses the rail 24 outwards, laterally against the ramparts 8 and up and down into the channel 7 in each case. A very good seal is thereby already achieved.
- the flap wing 5 is assigned a stop bracket 27 in the upper region.
- Another stop bracket 28 is located behind the flap wing 5 in the lower region.
- Each of these stop angles 27 and 28 is U-shaped and has a longitudinal strip 29 and two side strips 30 and 31. In cross-section, the stop angles 27 and 28 are step-shaped, as can be seen in particular in FIG.
- an edge-side channel 32 is formed towards the frame 1, which is used to hold sealing material 33.
- Two different types of sealing materials are preferably located in the channel 32, a sealing material being arranged in front of the flap wing 5. This sealing material seals very well when cold and consists, for example, of conventional sealing strips, especially of abrasion-resistant material. Additional sealing material, for example also as a strip, is installed behind these sealing strips, these sealing materials, however, only foaming when a certain temperature is reached and thus pressing the preceding sealing material against the flap wing 5. This results in an additional sealing of the flap wing 5.
- the tightness is further increased by the fact that the sealing material located in the channels 32 surrounds the bends of the profile strips 20, which comprise the sheet steel plates 9, and penetrates into the areas between the wall and the flap wing.

Abstract
Description
Brandschutzsicherung in Öffnungslage gehalten.
- Figur 1
- eine Frontansicht auf eine schematisch dargestellte, erfindungsgemäße Brandschutzklappe mit geschlossenem Klappenflügel;
- Figur 2
- einen Längsschnitt durch die Brandschutzklappe gemäß Figur 1 entlang Linie II-II;
- Figur 3
- einen vergrößert dargestellten Ausschnitt des Längsschnitts im Bereich des Klappenflügels der Brandschutzklappe nach Figur 1;
- Figur 4
