1353376 Picking-up tools JOHNSTON BROS (SHROPSHIRE) Ltd and S G DARRALL 22 May 1972 [8 July 1971] 32121/71 Heading B4W [Also in Division B8] A device for removing jammed stones from stone-crushing apparatus comprises a lifting element 10 and a jaw element 11 pivotally connected thereto so as to be movable between a closed position in which the element 11 lies along the element 10 and an open position in which the jaw element projects in a plane not lower than the horizontal when the lifting element is held vertically. The device can be lowered into the stonecrusher, e.g. by means of an air hoist, the jaw element 11 moving under its own weight to the open position to underlie a jammed stone which is thus dislodged as the device is lifted again.
