Definitions
- the invention relates to an overflow and waste set according to the preamble of independent claim 1.
- a check valve is arranged in the drain pipe and, below this, a plug valve which can be actuated via a linkage is arranged below the entrance to the riser duct of the riser pipe. If the stopper valve is closed, the pool can be filled according to the height of the riser pipe. If, on the other hand, the stopper valve is opened while the pool is full, the water runs off through the drain pipe and the connected siphon. Finally, the check valve prevents dirt in the drain from rising into the basin. On the other hand, it cannot be prevented here that the drain fitting is soiled and clogged and that the valves no longer work safely. These drain sets must therefore be cleaned from time to time. In the known set, this is complex and requires manual skill.
- the invention has for its object to provide an overflow and drain set of the type mentioned, which is easier to assemble and disassemble for cleaning, and which can still be produced inexpensively.
- the object is achieved by the invention according to claim 1.
- the float and the plug are loosely connected to each other and can be lifted out of the drain pipe to clean them. A tedious search and grasping of the deeply arranged plug is not necessary here.
- the mushroom stopper is also loosely connected to the floating body. To clean the set, the mushroom stopper protruding into the pool is lifted out of the drain pipe together with the float valve and the stopper stopper, which is extremely simple and does not require any manual skills.
- the closure plug and the floating body are connected to one another by radially deflectable gripping arms. These two parts can easily be separated from each other and connected again.
- the gripper arms of the plug can also serve as guides for the float.
- the riser pipe is closed at its upper end with a cover which has a check valve for ventilation. This prevents water from escaping when the riser is blocked in the return or when the stowed water is drained. Such water leakage at the upper end of the riser pipe can cause great damage. Leakage of water is particularly effectively prevented if the check valve is arranged laterally above the return channel.
- the dividing wall of the riser pipe does not have to end before the end of the riser pipe, as before, so that it can be made shorter and easier. Further advantageous features result from the remaining dependent claims and the following description.
- a washstand basin 5 made of ceramic material is only partially shown in FIG.
- the overflow of the washstand is formed by a riser pipe 6, which is covered by the washstand and has a riser duct 6b and a return duct 6c.
- the riser pipe 6 is inserted tightly into a connecting piece 10a of a drain pipe 10 at the lower end.
- a dividing wall 6a extending over the entire length of the riser pipe 6 is also tightly connected to a dividing wall 10b of the drain pipe 10, this dividing wall 10b having a valve seat 10c which cooperates with a sealing plug 4a having a sealing ring 4a.
- This closure plug 4 can be raised via a linkage 15, which is only partially shown here, and thus the valve seat 10c can be released.
- a lever 8 mounted in a horizontal connecting piece 16a of a transition piece 16 is horizontally displaced and pivoted, and in this case the closure plug 4 is raised on a shaft 4d which projects downwards. If the plug 4 is raised, water in the basin 5 can flow into the siphon bend 7 screwed onto the transition piece 16, shown only partially here, and into the subsequent drain line. If the plug 4 is located on the valve seat 10c as shown in FIG. 1, water entering the basin 5 fills the riser channel 6b and the basin 5 up to the level 17 shown in broken lines. Above this level, water flows through the return channel 6c of the Riser 6 from.
- a floating body 3 in the form of a sleeve closed at the top is arranged above the closure plug 4.
- This floating body 3 has a circumferential sealing lip 3c at the upper end, which forms a check valve with a sealing edge 2c of a mushroom stopper 2. If the riser 6b and the basin 5 are filled with water, the float 3 is in the position shown in FIG. 1 and the check valve is thus closed. If the plug 4 is raised, the floating body 3 is pressed down by the outflowing water and thus the non-return valve is opened. If, on the other hand, water flows upwards in the drain pipe 10, the check valve is closed immediately and the possibly contaminated water does not enter the basin.
- a threaded sleeve 2d with a sealing collar is inserted into the drain opening 5a of the basin 5 and screwed to the drain pipe 10 with the interposition of sealing rings 12.
- the mushroom stopper 2 is inserted vertically in this threaded sleeve.
- the floating body and the closure plug 4 are loosely connected to the mushroom stopper 2, such that when the mushroom stopper 2 is lifted off, the floating body 3 and the closure stopper 4 are likewise lifted out of the drain pipe 10. So that the float 3 despite its connection to the mushroom plug 2 and the plug 4 is vertically movable, gripping arms 4b and 3b projecting upward on the closure plug 4 and on the floating body 3.
- the gripping arms 4b engage behind with gripping fingers 4c an outwardly extending edge 3a of the floating body 3. These arms 4b can also engage in the floating body 3 from below, the edge 3a then extending radially inwards.
- the gripping arms 4b are so long that the floating body 3 can reach the position shown in FIG. 1 unhindered. These gripping arms 4b simultaneously guide the floating body 3 in its vertical movement.
- the floating body 3 and the closure plug 4 can be easily assembled or separated from one another with the radial deflection of the gripping arms 4b.
- the gripping arms 3b of the floating body 3 have gripping fingers 3d which extend radially outwards and project into passages 2a of the mushroom stopper 2. In any case, these gripping arms 3b allow the desired vertical movement of the floating body 3 and also allow, by means of a corresponding radial deflection, that the mushroom stopper 2 and the floating body 3 can be assembled in a simple manner and separated from one another again for cleaning, for example.
- a cover 13 with a sealing ring 13a is sealingly and removably attached to the riser pipe 6.
- a check valve is on the cover 13 14 attached, which has a valve plate 14a over a comparatively small air outlet opening 14d, which is raised in the event of water ingress against a valve seat 14c of a cap 14b placed on the lid 13.
- Fig. 2 shows a further embodiment of the drain set.
- a mushroom stopper 2 is also removably inserted in an opening of the basin 5 in a collar 2e of a threaded sleeve 2d.
- a plug 40 with a linkage 15 or the like can be raised to open the drain valve. During this movement and also when falling back onto the valve seat, the closure plug 40 is guided with downwardly projecting guide webs 40a in a cylindrical extension 100a of the drain pipe 100.
- the float 30 forms the check valve with a valve seat 2f of the plug 2, as already discussed in the first embodiment.
- the float 30 is made in one piece from a suitable plastic and has a guide sleeve 30b, a float 30a open at the bottom and a handle part 30c molded onto the top of the float. If water rises in the drain pipe 100, the float 30 also rises up into the dash-dotted line drawn position in which the check valve is closed. If the water level in the drain pipe 100 drops, the floating body 30 falls down due to its own weight and is guided here.
- the floating body 30 with the closure stopper 40 is lifted out of the drain fitting.
- the plug 40 and the floating body 30 are connected to each other in a two-sided manner following a slight tilting of these two parts.
- FIG. 3 shows an overflow 60 which is suitable in connection with the waste set according to FIG. 1 or FIG. 2.
- This overflow 60 also has the valve 14 described above, which, however, is formed here on a tubular cover 130 which is extended downwards.
- a connecting tube 60a can be made much shorter and thus easier after its curvature. The cover 130 and the tube 60a are put together tightly.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an overflow and waste set according to the preamble of
In a known set of this type, according to EP-A-0 305 572, a check valve is arranged in the drain pipe and, below this, a plug valve which can be actuated via a linkage is arranged below the entrance to the riser duct of the riser pipe.
The invention has for its object to provide an overflow and drain set of the type mentioned, which is easier to assemble and disassemble for cleaning, and which can still be produced inexpensively. The object is achieved by the invention according to
According to a development of the invention, the mushroom stopper is also loosely connected to the floating body. To clean the set, the mushroom stopper protruding into the pool is lifted out of the drain pipe together with the float valve and the stopper stopper, which is extremely simple and does not require any manual skills.
According to a development of the invention, the closure plug and the floating body are connected to one another by radially deflectable gripping arms. These two parts can easily be separated from each other and connected again. The gripper arms of the plug can also serve as guides for the float. According to another development of the invention, the riser pipe is closed at its upper end with a cover which has a check valve for ventilation. This prevents water from escaping when the riser is blocked in the return or when the stowed water is drained. Such water leakage at the upper end of the riser pipe can cause great damage. Leakage of water is particularly effectively prevented if the check valve is arranged laterally above the return channel. The dividing wall of the riser pipe does not have to end before the end of the riser pipe, as before, so that it can be made shorter and easier. Further advantageous features result from the remaining dependent claims and the following description.
- 1 shows a section through an overflow and waste set according to the invention and a section of a washstand,
- Fig. 2 shows a section through a further embodiment of the set, and
- Fig. 3 shows a section through a further embodiment of the overflow.
So that no dirt particles can now rise from the
As can be seen from FIG. 1, a threaded
The gripping
So that water escapes at the upper end of the
Fig. 2 shows a further embodiment of the drain set. In this case, a
A vertically upwardly extending
