Definitions
- the invention relates to a high-strength fabric made of synthetic fibers or plastic threads, which in addition to electrically non-conductive threads also has electrically conductive threads, the electrically conductive threads preferably containing dispersed electrically conductive carbon, and to bulk material containers and risers made from this synthetic fiber fabric.
- Fabrics made from natural and artificial fibers or threads often have a tendency to become electrostatically charged, especially when they are subjected to rubbing at low atmospheric humidity.
- the tendency towards electrostatic charging is particularly pronounced in fabrics made of hydrophobic fibers, for example complete synthetic polymers, such as polyamides, polyesters, polyacrylates, polyacrylonitrites and polyolefins.
- electrostatic charging of or on fabrics is annoying in the case of clothing and carpets, since it can sometimes become so large that a person feels a violent electric shock when touching an earthed object.
- electrostatic charging is not only annoying, it can Even when using the fabric with potentially explosive substances and / or in potentially explosive environments, great dangers arise.
- Bulk containers for example, are made from synthetic fiber fabrics. These are used for a wide variety of bulk goods, in which, due to the risk of explosions caused by static charge when filling or emptying the bulk goods container, the volume resistance achieved in the tissue of the container of at most 10 ⁇ is not sufficient.
- bulk containers have been used so far, which are made of a fabric in which the fabric with incorporated metal threads to derive the static charge is equipped.
- the present invention is based on the object of specifying a synthetic fiber fabric in which the threads of conductive material incorporated into the non-conductive synthetic fiber fabric largely resemble the plastic fabric in terms of elongation behavior and in which permanent dissipation of the static electricity is ensured.
- the above object can be achieved in the case of a high-strength fabric of the type mentioned at the outset in that the electrically conductive threads consist of a polyolefin and contain carbon black and / or graphite in dispersed form and are woven into both the warp and the weft.
- the fabric according to the invention is extremely mechanically resilient and permanently shows a reliable discharge of static electricity. It is advantageous that the modulus of elasticity ⁇ electrically conductive threads is smaller than that of the rest of the thread material woven in warp and weft. This prevents the electrically conductive threads from tearing under high mechanical stress on the fabric.
- the conductive threads are advantageously made of polypropylene. This material largely corresponds in its use and in particular in its stretching behavior to the plastic threads used for the production of high-strength fabrics.
- the conductive threads are woven into the base fabric in the warp as well as in the weft direction. By weaving in the warp and weft directions and crossing the warp and weft threads, the basic fabric is pulled through with a rectangular grid of electrically conductive threads, through which, with appropriate grounding, there is a permanent dissipation of the static electricity generated when the fabric is used. By weaving the electrically conductive threads into the fabric (with a measuring arrangement according to DIN 53 482) z. B. a discharge resistance of 107 to 109 ohms is reached.
- the above values can be varied. Lower values are also achieved.
- the thread spacing of the individual threads from one another within the grid can be varied according to the requirements, but they are preferably less than 10 cm, in certain areas of application preferably less than 2 cm.
- a grid of 4.5-5 x 4.5-5 cm is a special feature because the usual measuring electrode acc. DIN 53 482 always comes into contact with a grid thread.
- the electrically conductive threads are preferably monofilaments, but fibers, threads or multifilaments of a conductive polypropylene can also be used.
- the use of electrically conductive threads with a titer of 1000 to 1500 dtex is preferred.
- the fabric according to the invention is suitable for all applications in which high mechanical strength and reliable dissipation of static electricity are important. So it can be advantageous in mining but also in other areas where e.g. B. there is a risk of dust explosions.
- the invention also relates to a bulk goods container, a so-called flexible, intermediate bulk container (FIBC), which consists of a flexible carrying bag and attached supporting devices (carrying loop, eyelet, belt or the like) and in which the carrying bag is made of a high-strength synthetic fiber fabric type according to the invention has been produced.
- FIBC flexible, intermediate bulk container
- a compaction of the grid made of electrically conductive threads is provided for the accumulation of intersections of the warp and weft threads.
- carrying straps or the like they are at least partially advantageously made of conductive material.
- the carrying bag of the bulk goods container is provided with an inner bag.
- this is made of a fabric which, by weaving in electrically conductive threads in the warp and weft directions, leads to a discharge resistance of reached about 107 Ohm and is therefore able to discharge electrical charges via an appropriate grounding and make them harmless.
- the conductive body tissue is also possible to provide the conductive body tissue with a conductive coating made of polypropylene or polyethylene, i.e. not only to provide such a coating for the lid, the inlet and / or outlet.
- an additional inner lining made of polyethylene is also useful for special applications. This is then made from a conductive polyethylene with carbon black or graphite dispersed into it.
- a further increase in conductivity and thus safety can be achieved by making the connecting material such as sewing thread or the like, which connects the individual parts of a bulk goods container, conductive.
- This inner bag is currently preferably made of an aluminum composite film.
- the inner bag can be produced according to the invention from an aluminum composite film, with a conductive surface also being provided on the inside and / or outside.
- Such a film can also be used as a so-called intermediate bag.
- the outer bag is made of conductive plastic fabric, the inner bag made of conductive polyethylene and In between there is an aluminum composite foil as a vapor barrier.
- Other intermediate materials such as corrugated cardboard or wood, can also be used for other areas of application.
- the invention also relates to a carrying strap for attaching loads to harnesses, which is made from a high-strength synthetic thread fabric of the type according to the invention.
- risers are used, for example, instead of chains to gently lift loads, such as metal or plastic pipes.
- Such risers are also used to be connected to bags, bulk carriers and the like at predetermined locations. The attachment can also be done by welding, gluing or sewing.
- FIG. 3 schematically shows a synthetic fiber fabric into which electrically conductive threads 2 made of preferably polypropylene are woven at intervals of 10 cm or less.
- the use of the electrically conductive threads in the warp (3) and as a weft (4) ensures that the synthetic fiber fabric is interspersed with a grid of electrically conductive threads is. In this way, an excellent dissipation capacity of the tissue for dissipating static electricity is achieved.
- FIG. 2 shows a bulk container 1, which consists of a carrying bag 5 with a carrying strap 7, 7 'formed shoulder strap.
- the carrying bag has a filler neck 8 in its lid area 10 and an outlet neck 9 in its bottom area 11.
- the carrier bag is made of a high-strength synthetic fiber fabric, in which electrically conductive threads 2 are woven in the warp and weft directions. These electrically conductive warp and weft threads consist of electrically weakly conductive polyolefins, preferably of polypropylene.
- the synthetic fiber fabric is interspersed with a grid of intersecting, electrically conductive threads, via which, with appropriate grounding, the static electricity generated when using the bulk material containers, primarily when filling or emptying, can be derived.
- this grid of electrically conductive threads the distance between the individual threads is preferably less than 10 cm, but it can be varied depending on the required conductivity.
- the grid can be compressed from electrically conductive threads in order to optimize the discharge behavior.
- conductive material is incorporated into the material for the carrying straps to ensure discharge.
- the body tissue is coated with a conductive film, which also has a transverse surface resistance or discharge resistance of 107 and l08.
- the thickness of the coating is irrelevant.
- the FIBC is produced from the conductive body tissue described with an inner bag made of film, which achieves similarly good surface resistance values and dissipation resistance of 107 and 108.
- the possibility of using a multilayer sack is not shown, in which the outer sack consists of conductive fabric and the inner sack consists of conductive or non-electrically chargeable polyethylene. It is also possible to manufacture the outer bag from conductive fabric with a conductive coating on the inside and / or outside. Finally, it is also possible to use a conductive intermediate bag, e.g. made of aluminum foil, to be installed between the outer and inner sack.
- the above-described inner bag made of film can be a normal tube, but it can also have the shape of the outer container due to its special assembly, with any filler and outlet spout incorporated. In case of use you have to fill and Empty the outer and inner sacks to be grounded.
- the risers shown (7, 7 ') consist of the synthetic thread fabric according to the invention.
- a carrying strap can of course also be made individually or in a different shape, for example to be looped around pipes or other objects when these are to be lifted. Accordingly, the invention also includes such risers.

Abstract
