Definitions

  • the invention relates to a roller shutter for opening closings according to the preamble of the main claim.
  • a roller shutter of the known type is described in US-A-4345635.
  • Such a roller shutter allows light to enter despite securing the building opening and, with the appropriate design of the transparent plastic rods, the displays behind the roller shutter, for example in shop windows, can be viewed.
  • the known roller shutter has the disadvantage that when the roller shutter rods are wound on the winding shaft, the coupling rods come into contact with the outer sides of the transparent roller shutter rods, so that scratches and signs of wear can occur here, which can lead to the extent that the roller shutter rods are opaque in this area.
  • a roller shutter for doors is known from US-A-1437205, which consists of individual roller shutter bars having a different width but the same length.
  • the roller shutter slats are attached to one side of hinge bars, which have different lengths to match the different widths of the roller shutter slats.
  • the invention has for its object to improve the generic roller shutters so that even when rolling up the roller shutter on the winding shaft, the individual roller shutter bars are not in contact with each other, with the winding shaft and with the coupling rods.
  • the arrangement and design according to the invention in any case prevents the surfaces of the roller shutter bars from being scratched.
  • roller shutter slats which are made of a transparent plastic, for example Polycarbonate, exist, are milled off at their upper and lower edges, so that a hook is created in these end regions. A metal profile is pushed onto this hook, which is preferably completely round on the outside, and this round metal profile then engages in the round receiving groove of the coupling rod.
  • a winding shaft 1 is shown, on which a roller shutter armor is rolled up.
  • the roller shutter curtain consists essentially of the individual roller shutter bars 2 and the coupling bars 3.
  • the size, that is, the width B of the roller shutter bars 2 is different, so that it is achieved that when the roller shutter curtain rolls up on the winding shaft 1, the coupling bars 3 are always superimposed and simultaneously the individual roller shutter bars 2 do not come into contact with one another even when rolled up on the winding shaft 1.
  • a coupling rod 3 is shown on a larger scale.
  • the coupling rod 3 is preferably made of high-strength aluminum and is slightly arched with respect to its longitudinal axis.
  • receiving grooves 6 and 6a are provided, which are round and each have an opening 7 opening outwards.
  • the procedure is preferably such that the upper leg 11 delimiting the receiving groove 6, 6a and the opening 7 is somewhat longer than the lower leg 10 is selected.
  • the opening 7 furthermore has an opening width a which is smaller than the width b of the actual receiving groove.
  • an additional bore 9 is provided which runs over the entire length of the coupling rod 3 and serves to accommodate cylinder rod sections 16 (FIG. 5).
  • These cylinder rod sections 16 have a relatively small length and thus have the effect that when an attempt is made to cut the roller shutter rod by means of a saw, the rod 16 can rotate in accordance with the sawing movements within the bore 9 and thus render the saw ineffective.
  • FIG. 3 at a , b , c , d and e different shutter bars 2 are shown, which consist both in their longitudinal axis and transversely to their longitudinal axis of a flat polycarbonate plate, which is preferably extruded.
  • This polycarbonate plate is then rolled in its two end regions, that is to say the locking heads 8 and 8a are formed, the size of which corresponds to the receiving grooves 6 and 6a of the coupling rods 3. It is advantageous that the center of the locking head 8 - as illustrated in FIG.
  • roller shutter according to the invention creates a roller shutter which is substantially smooth on the outside, and which therefore does not offer large areas of attack for burglar tools. While the previously known, transparent window grids with hooks or the like can be pulled away, this is not possible with the roller shutter according to the invention.
  • the roller shutter according to the invention further combines the good transparency with thermal insulation and the protective effect.
  • FIG. 5 shows a coupling rod 3 to which two roller shutter rods 12 connect.
  • Fig. 6 the end part of a roller shutter rod 12 is shown on a larger scale, and it can be seen that a milling head 8b is created by milling this end portion, which consists of a hook part 15.
  • a metal rod 14 is pushed onto this locking head 8b, the inner recess of which corresponds to the hook shape of the locking head 8b and the outer shape of which is somewhat smaller than the receiving grooves 6, 6a.
  • each roller shutter slat can be held securely in the receiving grooves 6 and 6a with the interposition of the metal bar 14.
  • the milling of the plate-shaped roller shutter slats 12 represents a simple operation, much easier than the precise shaping of the locking heads described in FIG. 3.
