Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method and an apparatus for producing a stack of bags, consisting of bags formed from rectangular film sections made of thermoplastic, which are folded around themselves at their bottom folding edges, with side weld seams and on their opening sides with central grip hole punchings and lateral corner pieces delimited by perforation lines that have aligned stacking holes.
  • DE-U-74 29 628 discloses a stack of bags of this type, in which, in order to save material, the suspension strip which is otherwise customary and extends across the width of the bag and is provided with hanging holes and from which the bags are torn off along a perforation line, is dispensed with.
  • each bag can be provided with perforation lines delimiting the two upper corner regions thereof, while the front wall of the bag has sections in its corner regions which are approximately congruent with the corner regions of the rear wall.
  • Such stacks of bags make it possible to save 50% of the material compared to the known stack of bags, because only the rear walls of the bags are provided with corner areas serving for stacking and holding.
  • the individual pouch can be more easily torn off the stack of pouches because only one perforation line covering a wall has to be severed for this purpose.
  • the perforation lines can be curved, preferably quarter-circular, with parts approximately perpendicular to the opening and side edges.
  • the perforation lines can have webs of different lengths, the web lengths being adapted to the force curve when the bags are torn off along the perforation lines and the possible curve shape of the perforation lines in such a way that tearing off along the perforation line is ensured.
  • This configuration is particularly advantageous and expedient for reasons of simple and economical production of the bags according to the invention. This is because the bags are expediently produced starting from a flat plastic film web, the side parts of which are folded over onto the central part of the film in such a way that their side edges lie at a close distance from their center line. When processing this plastic film stream folded in this way, it must absorb stresses before the transverse welding of the individual bags and transmit them without substantial stretching.
  • the tucked-in side parts of the plastic film web are weakened by semicircular punched-outs, so that further weakening of the middle part should also be avoided. Since the perforation lines have to be made in the middle part, the weakening cannot be completely dispensed with.
  • the web lengths of the punched perforation lines are thus designed in accordance with the invention in such a way that weakening of the web is avoided as far as possible on the one hand, but on the other hand non-destructive tearing of the bags from the bag block is ensured.
  • the perforation lines can be arranged such that they have long material webs in the areas of the opening edge and the side edge of the bag and shorter material webs between them. This arrangement of the shorter and longer webs of material takes into account the tensile and shear stresses occurring in the web, so that the web is not subject to any noteworthy expansions in spite of the punched-in perforation lines.
  • the material webs expediently decrease in length from the long to the short, so that good tearing of the bags from the stack is ensured after the tearing at the side edges.
  • the film strives to tear straight ahead due to the material properties.
  • tear-off perforation line has a curved shape, shorter webs ensuring better tear-off should be provided, in particular in the area of curvature.
  • each bag expediently ends in front of the upper edge of the rear wall, so that it has an overlap-free strip.
  • Such an embodiment of stacked bags is known per se from DE-OS 24 08 831.
  • the bags can also be blocked together in the area of the perforated corners in the stack.
  • the blocking can also take place in the area of the stacking or hanging holes.
  • GB-A-707 346 already discloses a process for producing bags which consist of rectangular film sections made of thermoplastic material, the side parts of a plastic film web being folded over onto its central part in such a way that its side edges lie at a close distance from their center line.
  • the plastic film web folded in this way is conveyed intermittently by one bag width through punching and welding stations, and finally the bags, which are still connected in pairs, are separated from one another by cuts made along the center line of the plastic film web, and if necessary. stacked.
  • EP-A 136 171 describes an apparatus for carrying out a method of manufacture known from stacks of bags, these stacks of bags also consist of bags formed from rectangular film sections of thermoplastic material. These bags have perforation and / or cut lines. These perforation and / or separating cut lines are produced according to this prior art with a punching device which consists of at least one knife plate and one abutment plate. The abutment plate engages between a central part of the intermittently conveyed plastic film web.
  • this object is achieved according to the invention by a method having the features of the characterizing part of claim 1. Accordingly, while the plastic film web is being conveyed through the punching and welding stations, the corner areas of the later rear walls of four bags lying next to one another and in pairs in mirror image to one another are first provided with the perforation lines and with the stacking or hanging holes by a closed line. The corner punch cut-outs of the later bag front wall are then made. Then the grip hole punching and the cross-weld separating seams forming the bag side seams or in pairs cross-weld seams are made with separating cuts lying between them.
  • the cuts forming the tear-off perforation lines and corner punch cut-outs can be made by circumferential circular or elliptical cuts. However, the cut forming the corner punch cut-outs is interrupted by the gap existing between the inside edges of the web which are turned inwards.
  • the tear-off perforation lines are rectilinear in their end regions and are approximately at right angles on the side and opening edges.
  • the circumferential cut lines or tear-off perforation lines are designed as square cut lines with rounded corners or polygonal cut lines such that the perforation lines entering the side and opening edges are approximately at right angles to these.
  • the stack of bags 1 consists of stacked bags 2 which have been formed from rectangular plastic film sections by folding around the bottom fold line 3 on themselves.
  • the opening edges 4 of the front walls end at a distance from the opening edges 5 of the rear walls of the bags 2, so that overlapping strips 6 of the rear wall are formed on the opening side.
  • the bags 2 are provided in the middle with grip hole punchings 7 in the usual way.
  • the front walls of the bags 2 are provided with approximately quarter-circular punched-outs which are delimited by the cutting edges 8.
  • the rear walls are approximately congruent with these cut edges with quarter-circle perforation lines 9.
  • the corner regions 10 of the rear walls, delimited by the perforation lines 9, are provided with punched holes 11, which serve for stacking and / or hanging the stacked bags 2.
  • the perforation lines 9 run approximately perpendicularly into the upper opening edges and into the lateral edges.
  • the perforation lines 9 have longer material webs 12, 13 in the region of the opening edges 5 and in the region of the sides.
  • the material webs 12, 13 are represented by solid lines.
  • An area with shorter material webs is provided between the longer material webs 12, 13.
  • cut edges 8 and the perforation lines 9 are arranged approximately congruently. In the drawing they are shown offset from one another for the sake of clarity.
  • the individual bags 2 are provided in the usual way with side welds.
  • the double-folded web 21 prepared in this way is then conveyed by a conveyor in known manner intermittently by steps corresponding to a bag width through the punching station 22, in which the corner configurations of the later bags are punched.
  • the punching device consists of a knife plate 23 which is fixed to the frame and which is provided with four punching tools 24 with an annular cutting edge for punching the stacking or holding holes 11 and with perforation knives 25 which surround this in a circular manner and which serve to punch the perforation lines 9.
  • the abutment plate 26 is lowered onto the corresponding middle part 17 of the plastic film web 21.
  • the abutment plate 26 is attached to its actuation on the piston rod 28 of the cylinder 29 fixed to the frame.
  • the upper side of the abutment plate 26 serves as an abutment for the likewise circularly arranged knives 30 which are arranged on the knife plate 31.
  • the knife plate 31 is actuated by the piston rods 32, 33 of cylinders 34, 35, which are fastened to a holding plate 36, which in turn are fastened on the piston rod 28 of the cylinder 29.
  • the gap formed between the side edges 18, 19 of the film web 21 is so wide that it is able to accommodate the piston rod 28, so that the abutment plate 26 can be inserted between the middle part 17 and the struck side parts 15, 16 of the film web 21.
  • the cylinders 29, 34, 35 are provided in a manner not shown with supply hoses through which a pressure medium, for example oil or pressure run, is fed to them.
  • a pressure medium for example oil or pressure run
  • the ring-shaped knife 30 arranged on the underside of the knife plate 31 punches the corner cutouts 8 into the later corner areas of the turned-in web parts.
  • the width of the knife 25 cutting into the perforations 9 is such that the perforation cut has long web parts 12 in the transverse direction of the web and web parts 13 curve in the longitudinal direction of the web.
  • the individual bags are later welded off from the web 21 provided with the corresponding corner configurations along the dashed cross lines 40 by cross-weld separating seams.
  • the double bags connected in this way in the area of the center line are later separated from one another by longitudinal cuts.
  • the finger hole punchings 7 can be punched with the cross weld separating seams or else separately.
  • Fig. 5 shows a plan view of a plastic film 41, which is provided in the corner areas of the still connected bags with a square circumferential perforation punch cut 42 and an approximately congruent cut along a cutting line 43, which in the area of the longitudinal center line 20 of the film web through the between the inner edges 44, 45 of the formed web parts gap is interrupted.
  • the square perforation cuts and cutouts have rounded corners such that they open at right angles in the manner shown in the later opening edges and side edges of the bags.
  • the perforation cuts 42 are made in the area of the side edges and opening edges of the later bags with longer webs and between them with shorter webs.
