Definitions
- the invention relates to a pressure vessel for the delivery of at least two components with a funnel, which serves as the end of the end face of a container frame and the lid edge is preferably connected by flanging with the front edge of the pressure vessel, the wall of the funnel consisting of at least two superimposed funnels and at least one opening for receiving a valve is provided in the funnel.
- Pressure vessels which are closed at the top end by a funnel, are known in various designs.
- the pressure vessel is a cylindrical, 100 - 1000 ml container made of aluminum or tinplate.
- the funnel ie the upper end at the end, is either part of the vessel or is connected as a separate part to the container frame by flanging.
- the funnel has an opening which is closed by a plate provided with a closure.
- the closure is usually designed as a manually operable valve, which enables the contents to be removed as foam, powder, paste or liquid jet.
- the pressure vessel is a fully enclosed unit that prevents leakage or atmospheric oxidation of the contents.
- the content essentially consists of a vapor phase as a blowing agent, a liquid phase of the active ingredients and the blowing agent dissolved in it.
- a number of chemically reactive products are dispensed in a metered manner, which may only come into contact with one another immediately before use.
- a two-component product is, for example, a polyurethane foam which is used in many places, e.g. in the construction industry, for foaming cavities.
- pressure containers for such multi-component products generally requires the use of larger container volumes.
- the components are accommodated in separate sub-containers in the pressure container and are charged with a propellant gas, possibly using a piston, which separates the propellant gas filling from the sub-containers.
- a propellant gas possibly using a piston, which separates the propellant gas filling from the sub-containers.
- the pressure tanks must be dimensioned for these higher pressures. If the funnel is produced together with the frame, this means a relatively complex solution, since the wall thickness of the container frame could be smaller than that of the funnel. If the funnel for tinplate pressure vessels is made from a separate piece with a larger wall thickness, flanging with the edge of the frame is problematic and there is also enough space for an arched funnel for the arrangement of one outlet, For example, a valve, not for each partial container, so that special outlets must be constructed.
- a funnel is known from FR-A 2078188, the wall of which consists of two partial funnels lying one on top of the other.
- this funnel is only used to hold a valve with which a component can be removed from a container within a can.
- the inner funnel consists of a plastic material that is formed together with the outer funnel. If no plastic material were used here, the different radii of curvature of the outside and inside partial funnels could not be compensated for. When the funnel is deformed, relative misalignments of the outer and inner partial funnels then occur within areas of curvature, so that connections between the two are broken up here.
- both part funnels are flanged together around a rolled container edge, so that considerable space is used for the flanging.
- a pressure vessel of the type described in the opening paragraph in which at least two valves arranged next to one another are provided in an opening of the funnel, each of which is connected to a partial container which can be pressurized and is located in the pressure vessel are, wherein only the outside part of the funnel is connected to the front edge of the pressure vessel and the substantially flat, superimposed part funnel are firmly connected.
- the funnel is designed as a multiple wall, cost-effective production is achieved by means of funnel parts with a smaller wall thickness. It is possible to shape the wall of the funnel as, for example, a partially profiled, but essentially non-arched disc.
- the inner funnel has a smaller diameter than the outer funnel, it is possible to flare the funnel with the frame edge only with the outer funnel, which can be easily achieved.
- a pressure vessel 1 which is composed of a cylindrical container frame 2, an inwardly curved bottom 3 and a funnel 4.
- the partial containers 5, 6 have a bottom 7, 8, which is supported on a piston 9.
- the piston 9 is filled with a propellant gas acts, which is located in the space between the bottom 3 and the bottom of the piston 9. The propellant gas filling is introduced through an opening closed by a closure 10.
- the piston could be omitted so that the propellant gas filling would surround the partial containers 5, 6.
- the number of sub-containers 5, 6 is also not essential.
- a single partial container or more than two partial containers could be accommodated in the pressure container 1.
- it could be a pressure vessel of the simplest type, the undivided content of which is from a vapor phase, e.g. from a blowing agent, and from a liquid phase, e.g. consists of active substances and the blowing agent dissolved in them.
- the pressure vessel 1 shown in FIG. 1 represents an application of the invention with which the advantages of the invention can be explained. Because of the two partial containers 5, 6 accommodated in the pressure container 1, the latter is relatively large and, in addition, the pressure of the propellant gas filling has to be comparatively high in order to mix highly viscous components, e.g. 10 - 15 bar and more can be selected so that the mixing of the components in the same ratio is ensured during the entire emptying process.
- highly viscous components e.g. 10 - 15 bar and more can be selected so that the mixing of the components in the same ratio is ensured during the entire emptying process.
- the funnel 4 has a non-arched shape. This facilitates the arrangement of openings 11, 12, see FIG. 2. This applies to an increasing extent to the arrangement of three or four Openings, which must be arranged according to the number of partial containers 5, 6 accommodated in the pressure container 1.
- the design of the funnel 4 is best seen in FIGS. 3 and 4. It is advantageous that the funnel 4 is designed as a multiple wall, in FIGS. 3 and 4 as a double wall, which is composed of an inner partial funnel 13 and an outer partial funnel 14. Overall, the funnel 4 forms a non-curved, approximately flat disc, the partial funnels 13, 14 of which are connected to one another, for example, by spot welding or adhesive bonding. The funnel 4 can have a groove 15 on the partial funnels 13, 14 in the region of their circumference.
- the outside part funnel 14 has a larger diameter than the inside part funnel 13. As can be seen from FIG. 1, the diameter of the inside part funnel 13 corresponds approximately to the inside diameter of the container frame 2.
- the edge 16 of the outside part funnel 14, which projects beyond it, serves to to form the flange with the frame edge, as can be seen from FIG. 1
- the two partial funnels 13, 14 are formed into an edge 17 which faces away from the inner partial funnel 13 and projects approximately perpendicularly from the funnel plane.
- Openings 11, 12 serve to fasten the valves 19, 20 assigned to the individual partial containers 5, 6 on the funnel 4.
- the valve plate 18 can be crimped onto the edge 17.
- the edge 17 has the wall thickness of the two partial funnels 13, 14, it does not need to be rolled.
- the partial containers 5, 6 have a neck-shaped neck section 21, 22 which, together with the valve plate 18, is placed over the edge 17 and the crimping is then carried out.
- the neck portion 21, 22 then also serves as a seal, so that the partial containers 5, 6 form a completely closed unit. If the pressure vessel 1 does not have a partial vessel, the connection is sealed by inserting a sealing ring.
- the double wall of the funnel 4 also offers the advantage of providing a venting device 23 in addition to the openings 11, 12, which are closed off by the valve plates 18 and the valves 19, 20, for which a cavity 24 is created by locally bending the partial funnels 13, 14 , which is connected through passages 25 to the interior of the pressure vessel 1 and to the outside atmosphere.
- the cavity 24 is shown on an enlarged scale with a ventilation device accommodated therein.
- an elastic tongue 26 is inserted, which is shaped so that it resiliently abuts the passage 25 of the outside funnel 14.
- the tongue 26 can be pressed down by a pin 27, see FIG. 6, whereby the interior of the pressure container 1 is connected to the outside atmosphere through the passages 25. This connection is required if the in the partial containers 5, 6th components are discharged and mixed.
- the interior of the pressure vessel 1 is reduced by the piston 9 acted upon by the propellant gas filling. By depressing the tongue 26, the air in the pressure vessel 1 can escape.
- the hopper 4 described has enough space for accommodating a plurality of valves 19, 20 because of its flat shape.
- By connecting two partial funnels 13, 14 it can be made sufficiently strong so that it can safely absorb the pressures that occur inside the pressure vessel 1.
- the manufacture of the funnel 4 is simplified by the use of partial funnels, since the relatively thin-walled partial funnels can be produced inexpensively by punching or deep drawing.
- Suitable materials are metals, e.g. Sheet metal, especially tinplate, aluminum and its alloys. Plastics with and without reinforcement or reinforcement as well as composite materials metal-plastic.
