Definitions

  • the invention relates to a partition, in particular for a corner shower, according to the features specified in the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such a partition is known from DE-A-33 09 606, which has four flat door elements. Two of these door elements are hinged together at their longitudinal edges. The pairs formed in this way, each with two flat door elements, can be displaced in relation to one another in the guide rail in order to complete or release the entry area.
  • Each door element is slidably mounted in the guide rail by means of separate guide elements.
  • each door element has a frame in which a transparent pane or the like is inserted, which results in a relatively high outlay for production and assembly.
  • the hinging of two door elements in each case requires a corresponding effort, especially since a reliable seal in the region of the longitudinal edges must also be provided by means of flexible strips or the like.
  • the guide elements of all door elements must be mounted and adjusted very precisely in order to avoid the guide bodies jamming in the guide rail; the assembly effort is not insignificant.
  • a telephone booth with curved doors is known from FR-A-751 229. These doors each extend over an angular range of 45 degrees. On both sides of the entry area there is a wall element that is also bent over an angular range of 45 degrees. The curved door elements are pivoted behind these curved wall elements when the entry area is released.
  • a flat wall element is arranged in the direction of the rear wall of the telephone booth; these two flat wall elements are aligned essentially parallel to one another and are each at right angles to the rear wall of the telephone booth.
  • the guide elements of the door elements are arranged in the vicinity of the respective vertical longitudinal edge of the door element.
  • DE-U-85 12 641 discloses a shower cubicle made of prefabricated cylindrical parts which are arranged vertically one above the other.
  • the entry opening can be closed by means of a curved sliding door, the radius of curvature of which is predetermined in accordance with the cylindrical parts.
  • the radius of curvature of the sliding door is also fixed.
  • the door is not adapted to different radii of curvature or sizes in an entry area. No information can be found in the DE-U mentioned for the suspension or guidance of the sliding door.
  • a shower cubicle with an approximately square base plate and with circular guide rails for correspondingly curved doors is known.
  • This shower cubicle has a wall element designed as a molded part, which is arranged on a straight wall, ie not in a corner, of a shower room.
  • the shower cubicle requires a large amount of space and large doors, which must extend over an angular range of at least 120 degrees. This results in a corresponding manufacturing effort and high storage and transportation costs.
  • a shower partition with door elements which have height-adjustable guide elements or guide rollers.
  • These guide rollers are arranged on eccentric bolts, which are each fixed in a guide rail of the door element.
  • an elongated hole is made in the guide bar, from which the eccentric bolt can be inserted and fixed by means of an engagement element.
  • the eccentric bolt and thus the guide element are therefore fixed in the region of the vertical longitudinal edge of the door element, and an elongated hole extending over a greater length of the said guide strip is not expedient in view of the required stability.
  • the engaging element is part of a connecting part between said guide bar and a vertical frame profile, the fixing can only be made in the area of the vertical longitudinal edge of the door element.
  • the invention has for its object to develop the partition of the type mentioned with little effort to the extent that the number of individual parts is reduced and an exact alignment of the door elements can be made possible with little installation effort.
  • the partition according to the invention is characterized by a functionally appropriate construction and, with a simple construction, ensures that the entry area is sealed off from splashing water.
  • the two door elements each curved coaxially to the curved part of the guide rail, enable an appealing design, whereby vertical alignment can be carried out with a few components and in a simple manner.
  • the two door elements extend over an angular range between 40 to 50 degrees and do not require an excessively large transport volume and nevertheless there is a comparatively simple handling during assembly.
  • the guide elements arranged at the first distance from one another each have a predetermined second distance from the adjacent vertical longitudinal edge of the door element, the first distance being a factor between 1, 4 and 2 greater than the second distance.
  • the curved door elements can thus be arranged as close as possible to the guide rails without coming into contact with the straight end regions of the guide rails when the entry area is released.
  • a precise vertical alignment of the door can be produced by means of the height-adjustable guide element.
  • the guide elements are expediently at the same distance from the respective longitudinal edge and when the entry area is released, the door element is correspondingly symmetrically behind the fixed wall element. Only one guide element per door element is preferably provided with an eccentric bolt or a comparable device for height adjustment. The other guide element is rigidly connected to the door element, whereby a simple construction and nevertheless a simple alignment of the door element is achieved.
  • webs can be arranged on the side profiles provided there, and in conjunction with sealing elements which are arranged on the outer edges of the two door elements which can be pivoted open to one another, a functionally reliable seal in the closed state is ensured with little effort.
  • the webs have essentially the same width as the guide rails and the respective sealing element engages behind the back of the webs, a large overlap area being provided for the purpose of secure sealing.
  • each door element has an upper horizontal profile rail with an inner hollow chamber which extends in the longitudinal direction and into which the guide elements are inserted.
  • Both the fixed and the height-adjustable guide element are inserted into the profile rail from the end faces or longitudinal edges and anchored there by means of screws or the like.
  • Inexpensive assembly can be carried out in just a few simple steps.
  • the adjustable guide element expediently has a latching surface on the outside of the eccentric bolt, on which an adjustable latching arm or the like rests. This ensures that the eccentric bolt is secured against rotation and thus fixes the height adjustment in a simple manner.
  • the eccentric bolt can be rotated with a relatively small effort to specify the height setting.
  • the partition wall with a lower guide rail 8 and an upper guide rail 10 is arranged on the curved edge 6.
  • the partition contains two flat, fixed side wall elements 12, 14, which are firmly connected to the two guide rails 8, 10 by means of screws or the like.
  • the guide rails 8, 10 are arranged on the rear sides of the flat wall elements 12, 14, that is to say for an observer located outside the shower tray 2, behind the wall elements 12, 14.
  • Two curved door elements 16, 18 are suspended and slidably mounted in the upper guide rail by means of guide elements to be explained below.
  • the wall elements 12, 14 and also the door elements 16, 18 each contain a frame constructed from profile rails, in which a transparent pane made of a plastic or glass is inserted in the usual way.
  • the door elements 16, 18 can be pushed along the guide rails to the side behind the wall elements 12, 14 which have just been formed, in order to free up the entry area 20.
  • Fig. 2 shows a top view of the partition including shower tray 2 from above, which are installed in the corner of two room walls 22, 24.
  • the curved design of the door elements 16, 18 corresponding to the curved region 26 of the upper guide rail 10 can be clearly seen here; Accordingly, the lower guide rail also has a curved area.
  • the horizontal upper and lower rails 28, 30 of the door elements are corresponding bent.
  • the vertical profile rails 31, 33 are straight.
  • the guide rails are straight in the area of the flat wall elements 12, 14.
  • the door elements 16, 18 are slidably suspended in the upper guide rail 10 by means of two guide elements 32, 34, the one guide element 32 being fixed and the guide element 34 being adjustable.
  • the two wall elements 12, 14 have vertical side profiles 13, 15 which limit the entry area.
  • the door elements 16, 18 are each bent over an angular range 35 of approximately 45 °.
  • the two profile rails 28, 30 are arranged coaxially to the curved region 26 of the upper and lower guide rails 10 and 8, in the direction of view from the outside of the shower tray 2 behind the guide rails mentioned.
  • FIG. 3 shows a top view similar to FIG. 2, the two door elements 16, 18 now being pushed behind the fixed wall elements 12, 14 in order to expose the boarding area 20.
  • the guide elements 32, 34 are each arranged at a distance 36, 38 from the longitudinal edges 40, 42 in such a way that the upper profile rail 28 is at a sufficiently small distance from the straight region of the upper profile rail 28 in order to avoid contact. The same also applies to the lower profile rail and guide elements or sliders arranged there.
  • the distance 39 between the two guide elements 32, 34 is a factor of less than 2, expediently in the range between 1.4 and 1.6 greater than the above distance 36, 38. In this way a stable suspension is achieved on the one hand and the free length on the other hand the guide elements and the glider are kept small.
  • Fig. 4 shows a section along section line IV, wherein the wall element 12 is only indicated schematically.
  • the upper profile rail 28 has a cavity inside, in which the fixed guide element 32 is inserted and fastened with a screw.
  • the guide element 32 contains a guide roller 46 which is rotatably arranged by means of ball bearings and which can roll into a guide track 48 of the upper guide rail 10.
  • the guide rail 10 is designed as a hollow chamber profile, and the correspondingly designed guide elements of the other door element also run in the same guide path 48.
  • a further guide element, which is designed as a slider 50, can be seen on the underside of the door element 16. This slider 50 engages from below in a guide track 52 of the lower guide rail 8.
  • the slider 50 is located vertically below the guide elements 32.
  • a web 49 from the vertical side profile of the wall element 12 is indicated by the dash-dotted line.
  • This web 49 lies in front of the drawing plane and has a width 51 which is essentially the same size as the width of the guide rails 8 or 10.
  • the height 53 from the web 49 corresponds to the clear distance between the guide rails 8, 10.
  • This web according to the invention serves on the side of the access opening, wherein the Tuero / g m g nt having a still below 2 u explanatory sealing element closing the free space between the two guide rails 8, 10th
  • FIG. 5 shows a section similar to FIG. 4, but in the region of the adjustable guide element 34, the curved configuration of the door element 16 not being shown for the sake of simplicity.
  • the guide element 34 contains an eccentric bolt 54, which in turn is inserted into the hollow chamber of the upper profile rail 28, specifically from the longitudinal edge of the door element.
  • the upper profile rail 28 has a longitudinal groove 56 extending over the entire length, so that the eccentric bolt 54 can be inserted accordingly into the cavity.
  • the eccentric pin 54 contains an eccentrically arranged pin 58, on which in turn a guide roller 60 is rotatably arranged by means of a ball bearing.
  • the profile rail 28 contains on its inside 62 a bore 64 through which a suitable tool, in particular a screwdriver, can be inserted into a slot 66.
  • the upper guide rail 10 has a vertical web 80 in the middle of the guide track 48, which connects two vertically spaced box section parts 82, 84 to one another. As a result, a substantial stiffening of the profile rail 10 is achieved.
  • the upper profile rail 10, like the lower profile rail 8, is designed to be relatively narrow transversely to the guideway 48. According to the invention, the vertical height is at least twice as large as the horizontal width of the two guide rails 8, 10. The guide rails 8, 10 can consequently be bent in the manner explained with little effort.
  • a further slider 55 is arranged under the guide element 34. Within the scope of the invention, these two sliders also have the same distances from one another or from the longitudinal edges as the guide elements on the upper profile rail 28.
  • the fastening part 70 contains two locking arms 72 which engage around the outer surface of the eccentric bolt 54 provided with teeth or locking grooves 74.
  • the latching arms 72 have corresponding teeth or the like on the inside, which engage said teeth or latching grooves 74 and result in the eccentric bolt being locked in the respective rotational position.
  • the fastening part 70 consists of a suitable elastic, resilient material, in particular plastic. If a screwdriver is inserted into the slot 66, the eccentric bolt can be rotated for the purpose of adjusting the height of the door element 16.
  • the locking arms and locking grooves and the elasticity are coordinated with one another in such a way that on the one hand a reliable locking is ensured and on the other hand the adjustment can be carried out with a not too great effort.
  • the fastening part 70 is fixed in the profile rail 28 by means of a screw 76. Before assembly, the fastening part 70 with its latching arms 72 is pushed onto the eccentric bolt, specifically in the direction of the central axis, that is to say perpendicular to the plane of the drawing. Subsequently, the fastening part 70 and the eccentric bolt 54 are pushed together from the longitudinal side 78 into the cavity and fastened by means of the screw 76 in the manner shown. This takes place before assembly with the vertical profile rail 80 of the frame of door element 16.
  • the slider 55 arranged on the lower profile rail 30 is located vertically underneath the eccentric bolt 54 and is at the same distance from the lateral longitudinal edge 42 as the upper adjustable guide element 34.
  • FIG. 7 shows an enlarged plan view of the door element 18 and a horizontal section through the wall element 14, in the position corresponding to FIG. 3.
  • the guide elements 32, 34 are at an angle 92, 94 in with respect to the respective radial plane 86, 88 Direction to the center plane 90 of the door element 18 is arranged offset.
  • the axes of rotation 87, 89 of the guide rollers 46, 47 are pivoted corresponding to the center plane 90 in the context of this invention.
  • the guideway 48 of the upper guide rail, which lies in front of the plane of the drawing, is indicated by dashed lines.
  • the guide roller 46 has an angle 93 to the guide track 48.
  • the user When closing the door elements, the user would first have to exert a large force with the result that the doors then roll very smoothly in the curved area and collide with one another with considerable force in the middle. Large loads and considerable wear would be the result. Due to the inclined position of the guide elements according to the invention, it is ensured with little design effort that the rolling resistance when moving the door elements is largely the same both in the straight and in the curved region of the guide rail. Due to the distances of the guide elements 32, 34 to the longitudinal edges 40, 42 or to one another, the length 99 can be kept relatively short and nevertheless a stable suspension is achieved. If the guide elements 32, 34 were each arranged closer to the center plane 90, the guide elements could be made shorter, but the stability of the suspension of the door element would then no longer be ensured.
  • the guide elements 32, 34 are at a greater distance from one another, the guide elements would have to be made correspondingly longer. In the closed state, the door element would then be too far apart from the guide rail and additional measures were required to prevent water from splashing out in the region of the lower guide rail.
  • the specified design enables a compromise that is favorable in this regard to be achieved with little effort.
  • the vertical side profile 15 and the plastic plate 95 can be clearly seen from the fixed wall element 14.
  • the web 49 from the side profile has essentially the same width as the guide rail 8.
  • the door element 18 in the closed position corresponding to FIG. 2 is indicated by dash-dotted line 96.
  • the vertical profile rail 33 is shown in section, as is a sealing element 97.
  • the sealing profile 97 is fastened in an undercut longitudinal groove of the vertical profile rail 33 and has an arm 98 which bears against the back of the web 49 with an overlap.
  • the arm 98 engages over a substantial part of the lower guide rail 8 and, of course, also corresponding to the upper profile rail 10, so that this area can be reliably sealed.
  • the door element is in the closed position coaxial to the guide rail 8.
  • the lower and the upper profile rail are coaxial behind the lower and upper guide rail.
