Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for loosening up of a top layer and a dynamic layer of tennis surfaces, for example of sand sports fields, hard tennis courts, running tracks or the like.
  • a device for loosening up of a top layer and a dynamic layer of tennis surfaces for example of sand sports fields, hard tennis courts, running tracks or the like.
  • the pin In the further course of the rolling movement of the roller, the pin must perform a swiveling movement in the interior of the soil or the material to be loosened, after which it finally exits at a different angle than when it entered the surface to be loosened.
  • This swiveling movement inside the surface to be loosened can now lead to the material not only being loosened by the puncturing process, but also being lifted and displaced at the same time, i.e. practically churned up and plowed over, because the long side of the pin - especially when the pin is formed as a protruding tooth according to DE-A 3 142 933 the material has to be moved.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object of providing a device of the type mentioned at the outset, in which mixing of the various layers of the turf surface to be loosened is largely avoided by the relative pivoting movement of the pins from their entry to their exit from the surface, although one good loosening achieved, but premature damage to the end of the pin facing away from the roller surface should be avoided as far as possible.
  • the end of the pin is designed like a cutting edge, the direction of the cutting edge corresponding to the entry direction, that is to say it is not, or hardly, subjected to bending.
  • a part of the respective pin which is narrower in terms of its lateral extent thus engages in the dynamic layer, so that there is practically no possibility of taking material from this dynamic layer upwards with the somewhat pivotable pin and of introducing it into the cover layer and with to mix this.
  • the inclined surface is expediently approximately elliptical and runs from one meridian line of the pin to the opposite, the smaller axis of this ellipse being arranged at right angles to a plane through the diameter of the roller.
  • Round pins are particularly easy to manufacture and moreover, this results in the outer En de the inclined surface also a rounded cutting-shaped area, which gradually enters the soil accordingly and is therefore not immediately exposed to the full back pressure of the soil, which is also reduced again immediately from the beginning of this occurrence due to the increase in material thickness due to the inclined surface.
  • the helix angle of the inclined surface of the pins is expediently an acute angle with respect to the longest surface line of the pencil beginning at the end of the inclined surface in order to increase the above-described gradual increase in the effective pin cross-section in the ground as slowly as possible.
  • Embodiments of the invention with respect to the helix angle of the inclined surface and also its axial extent in relation to the total length of the pin and finally the distribution of the pins on the roller surface are the subject of claims 5 to 10.
  • a device designated as a whole with 1 serves to loosen up tennis surfaces constructed from a cover layer and a dynamic layer, such as sand sports fields, hard tennis courts, running tracks or the like.
  • the device 1 has at least one, in the exemplary embodiment three on a pulling or pushing device 2, in the exemplary embodiment of a pulling device 2, rotatably mounted, with protruding pins 3 or spikes (see FIGS. 4 to 6) that can be rolled over the loosening area of the turf Roll up 4.
  • the length of the pins 3 distributed over the circumference and the length of the roller 4 is greater than the thickness of the cover layer of the floor area, but less than the total thickness of the two layers forming the floor area, namely the cover layer and the dynamic layer.
  • the spike-shaped pins 3 protrude radially from the surface of the roller 4. As a result, they can easily penetrate the floor when rolling, perform a certain swiveling movement as they pass through the layers of the floor and then exit again, so that a certain movement in the interior of the layer loosens them up, but without digging too much plow.
  • the inclined surface 5 is thus guided approximately in the direction of rotation through the layers to be loosened and in particular also the dynamic layer, the reduction in cross-section in the region of the inclined surface 5 preventing material from this lower layer from being brought into the upper layer and ver with it is mixed. Nevertheless, the piercing of this inclined surface and the increasing cross-sectional size when entering and unrolling result in a gradual and gentle loosening and removal of tensions within the layers, without severing them and possibly mixing them.
  • this helix angle of the inclined surface 3a of the pins 3 is an acute angle with respect to the longest surface line of the pin 3 beginning at the end of the inclined surface.
  • the cross section of the pen increases correspondingly slowly when entering the loosening area.
  • this helix angle of the inclined surface 3a can be 14 ° to 45 ° , preferably 20 ° to 40 °, in particular 30 °.
  • the three spiked rollers 4 provided in the exemplary embodiment are arranged parallel to one another and one behind the other in the feed direction and can therefore roll independently of one another. They each have the same diameter, so that a uniform loosening is achieved. 3 and 4 it is indicated that the pins 3 on the roller 4 have the same spacing on the circumference and that the spacing between the pins 4 lying next to one another over the length of the roller 3 is also the same, and all of these spacings can correspond to one another , so that a very uniform arrangement is given and thus a uniform tillage can be carried out.
  • the pins 3 are arranged on parallel circumferential lines of the roller 4 and on the rollers 4 there are arranged scraper combs 6, through the interstices of which the pins 3 pass when the rollers 4 roll. Thus, the pins 3 are stripped and cleaned again and again.
  • the pins 3 of a circumferential line can be offset from one another in the circumferential direction with respect to those of the neighboring circumferential line, so that an even better distribution of the pin entries into the ground is achieved.
  • the length of the pins 3, starting from the surface of the roller 4, can be approximately 5 to 10 cm, preferably approximately 6 to 8 cm, depending on how thick the layers forming the floor area are.
  • the length of the pins 3 should be chosen so that the lower dynamic layer is not completely pierced, but the pins enter this layer. Tests have shown that hardening and stresses in such a layer are released without significantly changing the layer itself.
  • the traction device 2 has a three-point suspension 7 for attachment to a traction vehicle 8. Furthermore, the traction device 2 has lowerable stamps, not shown in more detail, with which storage is possible without loading the pins 3 of the spiked rollers 4.
  • auxiliary wheels can be provided on the traction device, which, for lifting the rollers 4 when the vehicle 8 is turned, can be adjusted downwards relative to these rollers are so that the rollers are lifted off during the turning process and their spines do not destroy the turf area despite a narrow turning radius.
  • the axial extent of the inclined surface 3a is approximately one third to two thirds, in particular approximately half or somewhat less than half the total length of the pin 3 projecting over the roller surface and in the exemplary embodiment takes five twelfths of the part of the projecting beyond a stop 3b or the roller surface Pin 3 a. This is a good compromise between a shape of the pin 3 that is as resistant to deformation as possible, but with a gradual increase in the cross section of the pin entering the soil and the resulting material displacement.
