Definitions

  • the invention relates to a hair clipper, in particular an electric hair clipper, with a shaving head, consisting of a shaving comb plate and a shaving knife, and with a spacing comb which can be placed on the shaving head for sliding contact on the skin surface to be treated, the position of the front edge of the shaving knife to the skin surface being adjustable , and a slide switch for switching the drive of the hair clipper on and off (see DE-A-3441 060).
  • the associated spacing comb can be placed on the shaving head of the machine by simply plugging it on when used by hand.
  • the spacer comb placed on the shaving head of the hair clipper in this way is functionally fixed on the hair clipper by a detent spring which interacts with a locking lug of the shaving head.
  • Another deficiency of such a definition of the distance comb on the shaving head of the hair clipper is that to change the cutting length of the distance comb is grasped with two fingers of the hand not holding the hair clipper and then - depending on the desired length of cut - in the pull-off direction or in the direction of extension until Locking its locking member in the locking groove corresponding to the selected locking position on the device housing must be moved relative to this.
  • This process requires the hair clipper to be removed from its position of use and then grasped with one hand so that the other hand can adjust the shaving head while closely observing the hair clipper and the distance comb.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a hair clipper of the type mentioned, in which both the adjustment of the distance comb in different cutting lengths effecting use or locking positions as well as the mounting of the distance comb in the pushed state on the hair clipper and the switching on and off of electric hair clipper drive can be accomplished by means of a single actuating element.
  • the distance comb and the slide switch are provided with coupling means which can be brought into engagement, that further locking positions for the distance comb are provided for the on and off position of the slide switch and that in the locking positions, the engaged coupling means of the distance comb and the slide switch are secured against decoupling by means of a lock.
  • This solution according to the invention enables the hair clipper to be operated, that is to say both the switching on and off and the setting of the various latching positions of the distance comb, by means of a single switching handle.
  • the cumbersome grasping of the spacer comb on the shaving head for setting the various locking positions is thus avoided.
  • the hair clipper 1 essentially consists of a narrow, haptically designed body, to which a shaving head 2 belongs, which in FIGS. 1 and 2 has a spacing comb 3 placed on the shaving head 2 is covered.
  • the spacing comb 3 has the task of keeping the front edge 4 of the shaving head plate 2, which is formed from a fixed shaving comb plate 5 and a shaving blade 6 which reciprocates thereon, at a predetermined distance from the skin surface to be treated, for example the scalp of a person to be styled, whereby the distance comb - as explained later - can be positioned in different stroke positions with respect to the body 7 of the hair clipper 1 on the shaving head.
  • the spacer comb 3 comprises, as a hollow body, the body 7 of the hair clipper 1 in the area of its shaving head 2 on all four sides, its tooth-shaped supports 8 which are formed on it allowing the hair of the person to be treated to pass through to the shaving head 2, from whose shaving knife 6 they are then cut be cut off.
  • the remaining length of the cut hair corresponds - in the case of supports 8 placed on the skin surface - to the distance of the front edge of the tooth-shaped supports 8 from the front or cutting edge of the shaving head or of the associated shaving knife, this distance - as already mentioned - in the case of Hair clipper is changeable.
  • the latter are assigned coupling means which interact with suitable coupling members of the body 7 of the hair clipper.
  • the hair clipper 1 is assigned a coupling plunger 10 which can be slid in a housing-side guide 9 with a T-shaped cross section in the direction of the longitudinal axis x of the hair clipper 1.
  • This coupling plunger 10 is assigned a slide switch 11 which extends over the entire width of the hair clipper 1 and thus permits safe operation with both the left and right hand of the device user, that is to say one-hand operation.
  • the slide switch 11 fulfills several functions, namely first of all switching the electrical or mechanical drive of the hair clipper on or off, then. the further function of coupling or uncoupling the distance comb 3 with the hair clipper in a functionally appropriate manner, and finally the function of converting the coupled distance comb into positions of use which cause different distances.
  • FIGS. 5 to 10 The function of the coupling plunger 10, which can be displaced longitudinally by means of a slide switch 11 inside and below the front wall 12 of the hair clipper 1, in cooperation with the coupling means of the distance comb 3 is shown in several coupling phases by FIGS. 5 to 10.
  • FIG 5 shows the basic mode of operation of the coupling 13 between the slide switch 11 of the hair clipper 1 assigned here to the clutch plunger 10 and the spacing comb 3 which can be placed on the shaving head 2 of the body 7 of the hair clipper.
  • the coupling plunger 10 connected to the slide switch 11 is formed with a coupling lug 14 which can be pivoted about the axis of a film hinge 15 molded onto the plunger 10, in such a way that the coupling lug 14 automatically returns to its starting position after each pivoting in accordance with FIG. 5 returns.
  • the attached spacer comb 3 surrounding the shaving head 2 of the hair clipper 1 is assigned, in the region of its wall 16 serving as a coupling means, a coupling groove 17 which receives the plunger 10 including its coupling lug 14.
  • This coupling groove 17 comprises a shoulder 18 integrally formed on the coupling wall 16 of the spacer comb 3, which is overcome by the coupling nose 14 of the coupling tappet 10 by deflecting into the depression 20 formed by a wall 19 of the hair clipper 1 in the region of the coupling groove 17 during the placement of the spacing comb 3 .
  • the spacer comb 3 is thus held by the coupling lug 14 of the plunger 10 engaging behind its locking shoulder 18 and thus secured against unintentional detachment from the hair clipper.
  • the slide switch which also acts on electrical switching means 21 for the drive, is still in the “zero” or off position, in which the feed circuit of the hair clipper is open.
  • the front wall 23 of the coupling plunger 10 arrives at a shoulder 24 integrally formed on the coupling wall 16 of the spacing comb 3, while the side wall 25 facing away from the coupling nose (according to FIG. 5) on the outer wall 26 of a through the housing wall 19 of the hair clipper 1 and formed by the coupling wall 16 of the spacer 3 positive guide 27 slidably comes to rest.
  • the clutch plunger 10 is prevented from elastically evading in front of the shoulder 24 by the positive guide 27.
  • the sloping edge 28 of the coupling plunger 10 which facilitates the evasion, and which cooperates with the sloping edge 29 of the locking shoulder 18 of the coupling-side coupling wall 16 when the spacing comb 3 is placed on, does not come into effect here.
  • FIG. 6 shows a schematic front view of a vertically displaceable grip piece 30, which includes both the clutch plunger 10 and the slide switch 11, and which serves for the hair clipper 1 as a central switch.
  • the grip piece 30 is formed here with a detent lever 32 pivoting about a molded-in film hinge 31, the detent 33 of which engages in detent notches of a detent bar 34 of the hair clipper 1 which is fixed to the device and forms a detent mechanism with each.
  • the engagement of the latching lug 33 in the lowest latching notch 34.1 determines the “zero” or “switch-off” position of the slide switch 11. If the slide switch 11 is pushed up by one latching division, the latching.
  • the latching nose 33 arrives in the latching notch 34.3.
  • the spacer comb 3 is pushed into its first detent position by the coupling tappet 10 moving in the direction x as a result of the abutment of the tappet-side front wall 23 on the locking shoulder 24 of the coupling wall 16.
  • This first latching position causes the hair that is caught by the spacer comb to be cut with a relatively short cutting length.
  • the latching position is indicated here by a marking scale 35 associated with the shaving head 2 of the hair clipper 1, the numbers 1 to 4 of which are visible in a cutout 36 between and below two adjacent tooth-shaped supports 8 of the distance comb 3.
  • a mark 37 assigned to the front of the distance comb 3 indicates the respective locking position - here the lowest possible locking position «1» - of the distance comb 3.
  • the spacing comb 3 reaches further detent positions which increase the distance between the shaving head 2 and the spacing comb 3, which by engaging the detent 33 into the notches 34.4, 34.5 and 34.6 and are indicated on the basis of the marking scale 35 by the mark 37 corresponding to the scale numbers “1”, “2”, “3”, “4” or by reading off the lowest scale number lying in the sliding direction and not covered by the distance comb.
  • the return of the distance comb 3 - for example to switch the hair clipper to a shorter cutting length - is carried out in a simple manner by pushing the slide switch 11 back in the direction opposite the arrow direction x.
  • the clutch plunger 10 is moved in the same direction of thrust and, due to the action of the positive guide 27, the clutch wall 16 of the spacer ridge 3, as a result of the abutment of the ram-side beveled edge 38 on the corresponding beveled edge 39 of the clutch wall 16, is taken into the detent position “1” which causes the smallest cutting length , which is characterized by the engagement of the detent 33 in the notch 34.3.
  • the coupling lug 14 of the plunger 10 arrives after passing the locking edge 40 which, according to FIG. 5, extends somewhat below the level of the locking shoulder 24 formed by the coupling wall 16, that is to say in the coupling direction x protrudes by a small amount compared to the latter, in the region of the coupling groove 17, which allows the coupling lug 14 of the coupling tappet 10, which rests on the comb-side locking shoulder 18, to escape into the recess 20.
  • the coupling lug 14 When pushing the clutch plunger 10 further by means of the slide switch 11, the coupling lug 14 therefore overcomes the locking shoulder 18 by pivoting the plunger 10 about the film hinge 15 counterclockwise and thereby releases the distance comb for manual lifting.
  • the slide switch 11 of the The hair clipper comes into the “on” position characterized by the engagement of the catch 33 in the catch notch 34.2, in which the clipper 1 is still switched on.
  • the repeated pushing back of the slide switch 11 until its latching lever 32, 33 engages in the latching notch 34.1 finally causes the entire drive of the hair clipper 1 to be switched off by means of the electrical switch 21 which is controlled or actuated by the slide switch 11.
  • FIG. 7 to 10 show a schematic representation of the individual coupling phases between the hair clipper 1 and the spacing comb 3 placed on the shaving head 2 thereof.
  • FIG. 7 shows the switch-off position of the hair clipper 1, which is referred to here as "from”.
  • the clutch plunger 10 is still below the spacer comb 3 loosely placed on the shaving head 2. A clutch with the latter has not yet taken place.
  • the clutch plunger 10 has been moved into the “on” position by means of the slide switch 11, in which the hair clipper 1 is put into operation without moving the spacer comb attached.
  • the coupling lug 14 of the plunger 10 which can be pivoted through the film hinge 15, overlaps the locking shoulder 18 of the spacing comb 3 and secured the spacing comb 3 on the shaving head 2 of the hair clipper 1 to prevent it from falling out.
  • the spacer comb 3 can also be lifted off the shaving head 2 at any time in this coupling position, the coupling lug 14 of the plunger 10 then being pushed back into the recess 20 of the guide 9 of the hair clipper 1 by the latching shoulder 18 of the spacing comb 3.
  • FIG. 9 shows the first locked coupling position of the spacer comb 3 on the shaving head 2 of the hair clipper 1, in which the spacer comb 3 is in the position «1 which achieves the shortest cutting length.
  • the coupling lug 14 of the coupling plunger 10 is already in an area which is formed on the one hand by the housing wall 19 of the hair clipper 1 and on the other hand by the coupling wall 16 of the spacer comb 3.
  • the coupling plunger 10 is prevented from evading around its hinge axis 15 and is therefore moved only in the coupling direction x when the slide switch 11 is advanced, that is to say in or parallel to the longitudinal axis of the hair clipper 1.
  • the spacer comb 3 can be moved into further latching positions in the manner described above by means of the abutting edge 23.
  • FIG. 11 shows a variant of the hair clipper according to the invention, the coupling of which with the attachable spacer comb is completed by an advantageous design of the coupling 13 which is easy to use.
  • a link 41 is provided here, which is formed by a curved groove in a side wall 42 adjacent to the housing wall 19' and delimiting the guide 9 for the clutch plunger 10.
  • a guide pin 43 integrally formed on the coupling plunger 10 engages in the setting 41 and can also consist of a guide roller attached to such a pin.
  • the guide pin 43 now acts with the link 41 when the clutch plunger 10 is pushed up as a result of the slide switch 11 of the hair clipper being switched from its “off” position to the “on” position in the sense of facilitating the transfer of the plunger 10 into its behind the latching shoulder 18 of the comb-side coupling wall 16 engaging, securing the spacing comb 3 in its only on the shaving head 2 position effecting coupling position.
  • the clutch plunger 10 with the molded coupling lug 14 is lifted from the link 41 over the locking shoulder 18 of the coupling wall 16 on the ridge side (first dashed position) and then moved into its “on” position behind the locking shoulder 18 (second dashed position) , After which the plunger 10 arrives in the region of the positive guide 27 ', in which the coupling plunger 10 - with its abutting edge 23 crashing against the locking shoulder 24 of the comb-side coupling wall 16 - moves the spacing comb 3 into its detent positions, each of which has greater cutting lengths.
  • Equipping the clutch plunger 10 with the guide pins 43 engaging in the link 41 also allows the positive guide 27 to be designed as a continuation of the link 41, that is to say this positive guide differs from the embodiments according to FIGS. 5 to 10 from the housing wall 19 of the hair clipper 1 and to form the coupling wall 16 of the spacer comb 3.
  • the gate 41 'thus including the positive guide 27' ensures a particularly secure canting-free and low-wear guidance of the coupling plunger 10 of the slide switch 11 of the hair clipper 1, which is pivoted by it about the film hinge 15 and is guided in a straight line.
  • latching cams 44 can be assigned to the inner sides of the two parallel side walls of the spacer comb, which engage in corresponding recesses 45 in the outer sides of the corresponding outer walls of the shaving head of the body 7 of the hair clipper 1.
  • FIGS. 12 to 14 show a further embodiment of the hair clipper and the distance comb.
  • 12 shows a section of the front view of the hair clipper without a distance comb
  • FIG. 13 shows the representation of the coupling between the hair clipper and the attached distance comb in section from the side (corresponding to FIG. 5)
  • FIG. 14 shows a section of the coupling wall of the distance comb from seen inside.
  • the spacer comb 3 is already held by the coupling lug 14 of the coupling tappet 10 in the off position “off” and is thus secured against falling out. In the embodiments described so far, this only takes place in the “on” position.
  • the coupling lug 14 of the coupling plunger 10 slides in the push-on groove 47 of the coupling wall 16 of the spacing comb.
  • the coupling plunger 10 is pressed into the recess 20 of the housing wall 19 by giving it away around the film hinge 15. Behind the locking shoulder 18 ', the coupling plunger 10 pivots back into the position shown in FIG. 13. This position corresponds to that shown in FIG. 5, but here in FIG. 13 the slide switch 11 is still in the “off” position, while in FIG. 5 it is already in the “on” position, so that in FIG 13 the distance comb is already held in the "off” position.
  • the removal of the comb from the shaving head in this position is also effected here by the interaction of the inclined edge 38 on the coupling lug 14 of the coupling tappet 10 and the inclined edge 39 on the locking shoulder 18 'of the spacing comb.
  • the coupling lug 14 of the coupling tappet 10 is not only guided upwards but also offset sideways (cf. FIG. 12).
  • This obliquely upward left guidance of the coupling nose 14 takes place in a backdrop 51 in the front wall 12 of the hair clipper.
  • This link 51 in the front wall 12 is congruent with the clutch link 46 in the clutch wall 16 of the spacer comb (Fig. 14), so that the spacer comb when the clutch plunger 10 is guided from the "off to the" on “position (and vice versa) the coupling lug 14 does not come into engagement.
  • the lateral guide of the coupling lug 14 takes place in a positive guide 48 which is offset parallel to the longitudinal axis x of the hair clipper.
  • the front wall 23 of the coupling plunger 10 now lies on the locking shoulder 24 'of the coupling link 46 of the spacing comb and pushes it upwards, as described above.
  • FIGS. 15 to 17 A further advantageous embodiment of the coupling means is shown in FIGS. 15 to 17.
  • the views in FIGS. 15, 16 and 17 correspond to those in FIGS. 12, 13 and 14.
  • the distance comb is already in the “off” position captured.
  • the interaction of the coupling means when the spacer comb is placed on the shaving head takes place analogously to the description of FIGS. 12 to 14.
  • Different here are the link 51 'in the front wall 12 (FIG. 15) and the congruent coupling link 46' of the coupling wall 16 ( Fig. 17) executed. They are both circular sections.
