As indicated by the double arrow, the slide 6 is adjustable in the axial direction. The slider 6 makes it possible to continuously adjust the effective length F of the suction slit 41 and to set it precisely in accordance with the yarn to be spun before the spinning process begins. After this setting, spinning starts.
- the maximum available length of the suction opening of the suction slot 41 is reduced by the amount f by the slide 6 in the swirl zone B, so that spinning takes place with an effective suction slot length F.
