Definitions

  • the invention relates to a lamp holder for low-voltage lamps.
  • the lamp holder has so far been a critical point because the conventional lamp holders are perceived as annoying if they do not have appropriately designed covers.
  • the covers or housings enlarge the lamp holder as such, which is undesirable if the entire lamp is to be kept small.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a versatile, functional version which overall can be kept small and can be used without cladding, in particular for lamps with a modern design.
  • the lamp holder according to the invention for low-voltage lamps is characterized in the manner specified in the main claim.
  • the lamp socket essentially looks like a rod or a sleeve, while the internal design of the lamp socket cannot be seen.
  • the lamp holder itself can be kept extremely small.
  • the overall height of the sleeve including the end pieces is only approximately 30 mm. This small overall height is achieved, among other things, by the fact that the contact parts fulfill two functions, namely on the one hand the power supply and on the other hand the mechanical mounting of the lamp.
  • the embodiment of the invention according to claim 2 has the advantage that the lamp can be pivoted in a simple manner about the longitudinal axis of the lamp holder and can be fixed in its respective position.
  • the advantageous embodiment of the lamp holder according to the invention according to claim 4 means a particularly simple type of power supply to the end pieces and thus via the brackets to the contact pins of the lamp.
  • the configuration of the lamp holder according to the invention has the advantage that the power supply wires can be inserted into the end pieces both vertically from above and laterally in the longitudinal direction.
  • the vertical insertion of the lead wires into the lamp holder is particularly suitable for hanging lamps.
  • the embodiment of the lamp holder according to the invention according to claim 6 represents an advantageous solution for the connecting device, because the metallic end piece itself takes over the function of the connecting device.
  • the embodiment of the lamp holder according to claim 7 relates to a further embodiment of the end piece.
  • the end piece has a cap in which the connector is housed.
  • the cap advantageously allows the outer appearance of the end piece to be matched on the one hand to the appearance of the sleeve of the lamp socket, and on the other hand the lead wire can be fastened in the end piece in a simpler manner.
  • the embodiment of the lamp holder according to the invention according to claim 8 has the advantage that the lead wire can be fastened in the end piece in a simple manner.
  • the embodiment of the lamp holder according to the invention according to claim 9 has the advantage that the end piece can be easily attached to the sleeve in a few simple steps.
  • the lamp holder contains a tubular, electrically insulating sleeve 2 made of ceramic material with two bores 4, 6 running transversely to the longitudinal axis of the sleeve 2 for receiving contact pins 8, 10, a bulb 12 or a pear base.
  • the bulb 12 partially shown in FIG. 1 is a halogen lamp.
  • the lamp holder also has two end pieces 14, 16, each of which has electrically conductive clamps 18, 20 which, when the lamp holder is in the assembled state, fit into the Extend sleeve 2 to the bores 4, 6 for receiving the contact pins 8, 10.
  • the brackets 18, 20 enclose the contact pins 8, 10 and thus on the one hand form an electrical lead to the bulb 12 and on the other hand hold it in the lamp holder.
  • the end piece 14 is glued to the sleeve 2 in order to achieve a secure attachment between the end piece and the sleeve.
  • Retaining wires 24, 26 are also provided on the end pieces 14, 16, with the aid of which, for example, a lampshade can be attached to the holder.
  • the end pieces 14, 16 have the same outer circumference as the sleeve 2. This gives the lamp holder a uniform appearance, so that no cladding is required to give the lamp holder, which is generally visible, a corresponding appearance to lend.
  • the connection device which is required to supply the bulb 12 with current, has a longitudinal bore 28 in the end piece 14 and a bushing 30, which can be screwed with an external thread 32 into an internal thread 34 provided in the longitudinal bore 28.
  • An electrical wire (not shown) can be inserted into the socket 30 as a lead.
  • the current is supplied via a wire 36 which is inserted into a further bore 38 of the end piece 14.
  • the bore 38 extends transversely to the longitudinal axis of the end piece 14 and thus intersects the bore 28.
  • To fasten the wire 36 it is inserted into the bore 38 and clamped in the bore 38 by screwing the bush 30 into the bore 28. until a tip 41 of the socket 30 comes into contact with the wire 36 and clamps it.
  • connection device shown in Fig. 1 is only one way of attaching a lead wire.
  • a lead wire could also be inserted into the bore 28 and fixed with the aid of the bushing 30 when it is screwed into the bore 38.
  • a clamping screw can also be used. If the socket 30 itself is used as a connection for a wire, the wire 36 can of course be omitted.
  • the lamp holder is completed by an electrically conductive connection device, which ensures a conductive connection between the socket 30 and / or the wire 36 with the clip 18.
  • this connecting device is realized in that the end piece 14 itself consists of an electrically conductive material.
  • the end piece 14 it is equally possible to manufacture the end piece 14 from two parts, a metal bush lying on the circumference of the bore 28, which is connected to the clamp 18, while the casing of the piece 14 is made of a non-conductive material.
