Definitions

  • the invention relates to a hand-held dispenser for dispensing and pressing double-sided adhesive tape, which is arranged on a carrier tape, with a housing, a receptacle for rotatably supporting the tape roll, and with a pressing member projecting from the housing for pressing a piece of adhesive tape.
  • Such a device is known from US-A-3 839 127.
  • This document shows a hand-held dispenser for dispensing and pressing double-sided adhesive tape, which is arranged on a carrier tape.
  • the housing of the device has a receptacle for the rotatable mounting of the tape roll, with a brake in the form of two radial projections, which bear against the core of the tape roll.
  • the carrier tape with the double-sided adhesive tape thereon is first passed around a curved surface with a larger radius and then around a semi-cylindrical edge with a radius of 1.5 mm and then split by a "sword".
  • DE-B-2 116 984 there is also known a hand-held dispenser for dispensing and pressing so-called double-adhesive pieces, such as those found in e.g. B. used for gluing photos in photo albums.
  • this object is achieved in a hand-held dispenser according to the preamble mentioned at the outset, in that, in order to use tape divided into predetermined sizes of double adhesive pieces, the pressing member is designed as a pressing surface adapted to the size of a double adhesive piece, and in that a manually operable feed device is provided, which is designed for the intermittent feed of the carrier tape, which movement is independent of a movement of the housing, in order to enable an exact positioning of a double adhesive piece on the carrier tape on the pressing surface and a subsequent pressing of this double adhesive piece by means of the pressing surface.
  • the double adhesive piece can be pushed exactly to the pressure surface by the feed device. Since this protrudes from the housing, the double adhesive piece can be applied exactly in the desired position even in relatively difficult to access areas.
  • the device is advantageously designed in such a way that the feed device for the intermittent feed of the carrier tape is designed by an amount which feeds a new double adhesive piece onto the pressing surface with each feed stroke. This results in a very simple and obvious operation.
  • a particularly exact positioning of the double adhesive pieces is achieved in a further development of the invention in that the pressing surface projects approximately finger-shaped out of the device. This way you can see exactly where to put the double adhesive pieces, and you can easily put them in corners that are difficult to access.
  • a very advantageous embodiment of the feed device results in a further development of the invention in that the feed device has a manually operable conveyor lever, that this conveyor lever is articulated on a transport lever articulated to the housing and can be brought into a clamped position relative to it, in which it carries the carrier tape between them and clamps the transport lever and entrains it during a conveying movement, and that to control the position of the conveying lever relative to the conveying lever, a housing-fixed space cam is provided, which interacts with an extension of the conveying lever, the extension of the conveying lever being designed to be deflectable with particular advantage in order to to allow sliding away over the space cam during the conveying movement, and preferably the The extension of the conveyor lever slides over a ramp of the space cam during a conveyor movement and engages behind a step at the end of this ramp at the end of the conveyor movement.
  • An embodiment in which a brake for the carrier tape is provided between the pressure surface and the feed device is very favorable for reliable function. This always gives the necessary tightening of the carrier tape in the area of the pressing surface, with a particular advantage that the brake is formed by deflecting the carrier tape in a gap between a part of the housing and an approximately complementary part of this housing final cover is formed, wherein the parts are preferably designed to interlock and at the same time serve for releasable attachment of the cover.
  • FIG. 1 shows a top view of a hand-held dispenser 10 according to the invention, in which the cover 11 (FIG. 2) is shown partially cut away. It has a housing 12 which can be held in one hand and in which a roller 14 of an adhesive-repellent carrier tape is arranged on a core 13 which serves as a receptacle and on which are arranged adhesive strips, one behind the other and preferably without gaps, as one can glue them in used by photos in photo albums.
  • Such an adhesive piece 15 is indicated by dash-dotted lines in FIG. 7. It can e.g. B. be rectangular in plan view.
  • DE-C-2 116 984 shows an example of what such a band can look like.
  • a braking member is arranged between the core 13 serving as the axis of rotation and the roller 14, e.g. B. a spring 20, as shown in Fig. 13 and which brakes the movement of the roller 14 on the core 13.
  • the carrier tape 16 with the double adhesive pieces 15 is guided from the roll 14 to a pressing surface 17 which is arranged on a dispensing tongue which projects from the housing 12 in a finger shape and at the same time serves as a deflecting member.
  • the pressing surface 17 is ergonomically designed so that it can be used to press an adhesive piece located there easily and precisely, even in difficult to access places. Based on the base surface 18 of the device 10, it is therefore inclined upwards, for. B. at an angle of 20-40 °, preferably about 30 °.
  • the carrier tape 16 (now without adhesive pieces) is deflected again to the housing 12 and penetrates into it. There it is deflected in an arc shape at a point 22 serving as a brake through a narrow gap 23 (FIG. 6), which is formed between a semicircular housing recess 24 and a projection 25 (FIG. 2) of the cover 11 that is complementary thereto.
  • This gap 23 acts as a brake for the carrier tape 16, and this brake is automatically opened when the cover 11 is removed from the housing 12, and it is formed automatically when the cover 11 is placed on the housing 12.
  • the carrier tape 16 is guided in FIG. 1 by a feed device, of which only the free end of the conveyor lever 26 is shown there.
  • the carrier tape 16 then passes into a guide channel 27 formed in the housing 12 and from there to the outside where it can be torn off, since it has fulfilled its function.
  • the lid 11 is detachably attached to the housing 12 by clamping the edge of the lid on the housing 12.
  • the cover 11 is provided on the outside with longitudinal ribs 30 ′, which in a corresponding manner also on the housing 12 are provided.
  • the dispensing tongue 17 and the feed are arranged close to one another, and the brake 22 is located between the two. This achieves a precise feed, namely that the feed pushes a constant paper strip corresponding to the length of an adhesive piece 15.
  • FIG. 3 shows a top view of the part of the housing 12 facing the dispensing tongue 17.
  • This has an opening 30 from which the dispensing tongue 17 protrudes, which is preferably formed in one piece with the housing 12. Furthermore, an opening 31 is provided at the top, through which the conveyor lever 26 (FIG. 1) protrudes.
  • Ribs 32 are provided on the inside of the base 18 of the housing 12 in order to prevent the adhesive pieces 15 from sticking there.
  • a circular recess 33 is provided, in the middle of which there is a space cam 34.
  • This has approximately the shape of a ramp rising from the bottom left (based on FIG. 3) to the top right, so that the sawtooth shape according to FIG. 4 results on average.
  • a pin 35 cooperates on a resiliently deflectable extension 36 of the conveying lever 26, as is indicated in FIGS. 4 and 5, and that during the conveying stroke of these pins 35 according to FIG. 4 slides over the ramp 34 and then snaps behind it steep drop.
  • the conveyor lever 26 is articulated on a transport lever 43 which in turn is articulated on the axis of rotation 29 fixed to the housing and which is indicated by a dash-dot line in FIG. B. presses against a housing-fixed projection 45, is acted on counterclockwise.
  • the spring 44 can be made of plastic or metal.
  • the transport lever 43 has approximately the outline shape of a triangle in plan view. In the area of the one, relatively acute angle of the triangle there is the articulation to the axis of rotation 29 fixed to the housing. The following angle in the clockwise direction is provided with a recess 46 which serves as a stop against a wall 47 fixed to the housing and the rest position of the Transport lever 43 defined. And at the third angle of this triangle is the articulation point for the axis of rotation 37 of the conveyor lever 26.
  • the transport lever 43 On its side 48 facing away from the axis of rotation 29, the transport lever 43 is convex and is provided with a guide member 49, which forms a guide channel 50 for the carrier tape 16 between it and the convex side 48. At the upper end of the convex side 48 there is an outwardly projecting, hook-like clamping projection 53. This is therefore a clamping feed.
  • FIG. 6 shows the start of the feed.
  • the conveying lever 26 is pivoted in the direction of arrow 54 in a clockwise direction, and its clamping edge 39 (FIGS. 10 and 11) presses against the clamping projection 53 and securely clamps the carrier belt 16 there.
  • the pin 35 occupies a position at the lower end of the space cam 34.
  • the conveyor lever 26 If, as shown in FIG. 7, the conveyor lever 26 is pivoted further clockwise and in the direction of arrow 54, it takes the transport lever 43 against the force of the return spring 44 (FIG. 6) and also pivots it clockwise about Axis of rotation 29, whereby the carrier tape 16 is pulled up accordingly.
  • the brake 22 brakes this movement of the carrier belt 16 so that it is only pulled as far as that corresponds to the conveying stroke of the transport lever 43.
  • the pin 35 slides over the space cam 34, the part 36 elastically springing out, and engages behind its upper end, so that it can no longer slide back along the same path. - In the position shown in FIG.
  • the adhesive piece 15 has been transported as shown to the front edge 19 of the dispensing tongue 17 and can now be placed and applied in the correct place there by pressing the dispensing tongue 17 against a desired surface, whereby the adhesive piece is separated from the - Adhesive-repellent - carrier tape 16 releases.
  • the device 10 is raised obliquely so that the pressing surface of the dispensing tongue 17 is parallel to the base, which is greatly facilitated by the hand-friendly shape of the device 10.
  • the restoring force of the restoring spring 44 acts on the transport lever 43 and pivots the transport lever 43 counterclockwise. 6 the pin 35 of the conveyor lever 26 abuts against the step of the space cam 34, so that a torque acts on the conveyor lever 26, which pivots it counterclockwise and releases the clamp against the clamping projection 53, thereby releasing the carrier tape 16 from the Clamping is automatically released, and this reliably prevents the carrier tape 16 from dodging and jamming, so that the feed works very safely, precisely and reliably, as the user also expects from a hand-held device.
  • Fig. 8 shows the backward movement of the transport lever 43 counterclockwise, the pin 35 of the conveyor lever 26 slides around the outer contour of the space cam 34 and thereby keeps the clamping pliers open.
  • Fig. 9 shows the transport lever 43 in its Rest position in which its recess 46 bears against the wall 47 of the housing 12.
  • the clamp between the conveyor lever 26 and the clamping projection 53 is open, but can be closed again in this position, since here the pin 35 of the conveyor lever 26 lies below the space cam 34, so that the conveyor lever 26 is brought back into the clamping position according to FIG. 6 can be.
  • the space cam 34 and the resilient extension 36 thus result in very simple and reliable control of the clamping process, i.e. the clamp is closed automatically during transport and opened automatically on the return stroke.
  • the resilient extension 36 can also be designed as a resilient metal part, and the space cam can - depending on the needs - also have a different shape.
