Definitions

  • the invention relates to a corkscrew according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such a corkscrew is known from GB-A-2 091 227.
  • the hole for inserting the sleeve-shaped protective cap on the one hand and the hook-shaped part for opening bottles sealed with crown capsule on the other hand are arranged next to one another, the hook-shaped part being located in the end region of the head of the corkscrew.
  • an opener for crown capsule closures in which two strips are provided inside an opening with which the crown capsule closure can be opened.
  • grooves are also provided in the interior of the opening, which engage the rotary lock to be opened.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a corkscrew of the type specified at the outset, which rules out a risk of injury.
  • the hook-shaped part is arranged in the area of a shell-shaped extension of the hole facing the screw-in part.
  • the hook-shaped part is arranged in a protected manner in the bowl-shaped extension, so that there is no risk of injury and unintentional snagging or snagging of the hook-shaped part on substances or other objects is avoided.
  • the diameter of the shell-shaped extension corresponds approximately to the diameter of the crown capsule closures to be opened, the outer edge of the head can be supported on the outer edge of the crown capsule closure to be lifted up on the side opposite the hook-shaped part, so that the crown capsule closure with a large lever arm engaging on it can be lifted almost without deformation.
  • the hook-shaped part can be attached to the head in an elegant manner, so that the corkscrew with the protective cap attached has the shape of an attractively designed opener for crown caps, without the appearance being impaired by the double function as a corkscrew.
  • the sleeve-shaped protective cap that can be placed on the screw-in part can be inserted into the hole in the head of the corkscrew. This hole is therefore somewhat larger in diameter or cross section than the diameter or cross section of the protective cap.
  • the head is provided with a recess on its side opposite the shell-shaped extension, the depth of which corresponds to the height and the diameter of which corresponds to the diameter of the crown capsule closure.
  • This recess enables bottles to be closed again with the crown capsule lifted off. This is only to be placed on the bottle opening.
  • the head is then placed with its indentation on the crown capsule closure and this is fastened again by a light blow on the side of the head of the corkscrew provided with the bowl-shaped extension, and clamped to the opening edge of the bottle.
  • the reclosing is favored in that the crown capsule closure could previously be lifted from the bottle to be opened almost without deformation using the corkscrew according to the invention.
  • the protective cap in its region facing the head is provided with a part made of elastically flexible material that thickens conically towards the end.
  • This thickened part serves as a stopper for the closure of bottles of all kinds, especially wine bottles.
  • the slightly conical protective cap can be provided in the region of its thicker end facing the head with a cylindrical extension onto which the cone-shaped plug-like part is pushed with a press fit.
  • This plug-like part can consist of plastic of greater softness and elasticity than the protective cap, of cork or other suitable materials.
  • the head can expediently consist of plastic and the head is sprayed onto the shaft of the screw-in part.
  • the head can also consist of a zinc die-cast part.
  • the hook-shaped part is expediently formed by the end of the shaft which is flattened like a screwdriver tip.
  • the head itself can be approximately teardrop-shaped in plan view, which gives it an attractive appearance.
  • the depression in the head of the corkscrew in the outer region of its wall is provided with groove-shaped depressions which are arranged at a distance from one another and are approximately complementary to the profile of rotary closures.
  • This configuration is known per se from CA-A-1 170 068.
  • screw caps are used, which are formed by pressure on threaded bottle openings. Such bottles are opened by turning these screw caps.
  • this turning is often associated with considerable effort, so that according to the advantageous development in its recess with grooved corkscrew can be used as a wrench for opening such twist locks.
  • the corkscrew consists of a helical screw-in part 1 made of steel, the shaft 2 of which is embedded in the head 3 of the corkscrew.
  • the head 3 consists of a main part which is approximately drop-shaped in plan view and approximately rectangular in cross section, which is provided in the manner shown in the drawing with a hole 4 passing through it.
  • the hole 4 is also approximately teardrop-shaped in cross-section, it being circular about a circumferential angle of 270 ° and having a radius which corresponds to the average diameter of the sleeve-shaped protective cap 5.
  • the head 3 On its drop-like tapered side, the head 3 has an approximately cylindrical extension 6 which surrounds the shaft 2 of the screw-in part 1 and which serves to hold the protective cap 5 pushed thereon.
  • the head 3 is provided with a bowl-shaped extension 7, that is to say with a bowl-shaped extension of the hole 4.
  • the diameter of this bowl-shaped extension 7 corresponds to the diameter of crown caps closures to be lifted off.
  • the hook-shaped part 8 which is designed as a screwdriver tip-like projection, is freely cantilevered.
  • the hook-shaped part 8 forms the hook engaging behind the lower edge of the openable capsule closures.
  • the hook-shaped part 8 is formed by the flattened end of the shaft 2 of the screw-in part 1. This shaft 2 is bent at an angle in its end region in the manner shown in FIG. 2, so that the hook-shaped part 8 lies in the region of the edge of the bowl-shaped extension 7 and within this extension.
  • the head 3 On its side opposite the bowl-shaped extension 7, the head 3 is provided with a recess 9, the height and diameter of which correspond to the shape of the crown capsule closures.
  • the protective cap 5 consists of a sleeve-shaped part which, starting from the closed end 10, thickens slightly conically. In its open area facing the head 3, the protective cap 5 is provided, starting from an annular shoulder 11 formed by a step, with a cylindrical part 12 onto which the conical, plug-shaped part 13 is pushed with a press fit.
  • the protective cap 5 expediently consists of relatively hard, clear plastic, while the plug-shaped part 13 can consist of more elastic plastic or cork.
