Definitions

  • the invention relates to a tub according to the preamble of the claim.
  • Bathtubs of this type which usually have a capacity of a normal bathtub, are known for example from DE-A-29 19 313 and are operated in such a way that the tub is filled for a "whirlpool" and after bathing the Tub is emptied as usual. Care must be taken to ensure that when the tub is emptied, the piping of the pumping system, including the pump, is also emptied in order to prevent the development of germ spots. However, it cannot be prevented that deposits form in the piping system over time.
  • tubs of the type mentioned for massage purposes as known from DE-A-22 53 002
  • devices are in the piping system for conditioning the water, in particular filters are provided to largely prevent nucleation in the water.
  • filters are provided to largely prevent nucleation in the water.
  • the invention is based on the object of equipping a tub of the type described in such a way that the internal piping system is prewashed each time the water is changed and / or before the final start-up.
  • the procedure can be such that fresh water is poured into the tub after the tub drain has been closed and that the shut-off valve in the drain line is initially open, so that when a certain fill level in the tub is reached, part of the fresh water is drawn through the suction opening, the pump and the drain pipe drain through the connection of the tub drain into the waste water pipe.
  • the cross-section of the drain line and the shut-off valve are dimensioned and positioned in the height position below the trough drain opening in such a way that the outflow is certainly less than the normal inflow cross section for such troughs.
  • the shut-off valve Since the suction opening is usually at a distance below the level of the swirl nozzles and for operational reasons (to avoid spraying) the minimum fill level must be above the level of the swirl nozzles, the shut-off valve is kept open until the prescribed minimum level above the swirl nozzles is reached. This ensures that fresh water is flushed through the vortex nozzles and the pressure-side pipelines to the pump and also the pressure lines leading to the vortex nozzles over a short period of time, this fresh water being discharged as waste water. For this purpose, the nozzles are blocked off from the pressure-side pipeline. The shut-off valve is then closed only after the specified minimum fill level has been reached in order to be able to put the pool into operation.
  • the shut-off valve is opened again at the same time as the tub drain, so that the pipelines outside the tub area and the pump can also run completely empty.
  • the cleaning is done by gravity.
  • the main improvement over the prior art is that just a forced flushing of the piping system is guaranteed, which is advantageous for normal bathtubs, but also for large vortex jet pools with permanent filling. This makes it possible that deposits occurring in the pipelines of the swirl nozzle system, including the pump and the filter system, can be largely flushed out with pump power during the shutdown.
  • the filling volume of the pipelines, the filter and the pump which may be more strongly contaminated with germs than the basin filling itself, can be pumped into the basin filling.
  • this is avoided in the embodiment according to the invention, since when the pump is switched on the inlet to the nozzles is initially shut off and the pipeline system is opened to the outlet via the drain line, so that water is initially used over a certain period of time, which is matched to the filling volume of the pipeline system pumped out and replaced by fresh water from the pool filling.
  • shut-off valve Only after the system has been rinsed in this way does the shut-off valve open the inlet to the nozzles via the time relay and at the same time close the outlet line to the outlet, so that normal vortex nozzle operation can take place.
  • Fresh water can be fed in after a corresponding level marking before each start-up. Appropriate dimensioning of the drain line ensures in each case that the amount drawn off from the pool filling via the pump is less than that into the tub ne incoming quantity when the inlet is fully open.
  • a suction opening 4 is preferably arranged at a short distance above the trough bottom, which is connected via a pipe 5 to the suction side of a pump 6, for example a centrifugal pump.
  • a plurality of swirl nozzles 7 are arranged distributed over the circumference of the trough and are connected via a pipe 8 to the pressure side of the pump 6.
  • the vortex nozzles 7 are in this case provided with an outwardly directed intake port 9, via which air can be drawn in from the outside in the manner of a water jet pump, so that a water-air mixture can be introduced into the bathtub filling that the massage-like effect on the human body further intensified by the fact that the air bubbles "exploding" when they hit the body further increase the effect and bring about a therapeutic effect.
  • a level sensor 10, which is connected to a signal generator 11, is arranged at a short distance above the level of the vortex nozzles.
  • the level sensor 10 is expediently designed as a pressure sensor so that no electrical voltages are present here in the area of the water filling.
  • the emptying opening 12 present on such pumps is connected to the outlet connection 3 of the tub 1 via an outlet line 13.
  • a controllable shut-off valve 14 for example a solenoid valve, which is connected to the signal generator 11 of the level sensor 10 in such a way that the shut-off valve is open without power until the fill level in the tub has reached the level sensor 10 and over a corresponding control signal of the actuator of the shut-off valve 14, for example the closing magnet, is activated.
  • the signal generator 11 is simultaneously connected to a switch 15 in the power supply to the drive motor 16 of the pump 6, so that the drive motor 16 of the pump can only be switched on when the minimum fill level specified by the level sensor 10 has been reached. This ensures on the one hand that the vortex nozzles 7, from which the water-air mixture emerges at high pressure, are always covered with liquid. It also prevents the pump from running dry.
  • shut-off valve 14 when the tub 1 is filled, the shut-off valve 14 is initially open, so that with the level in the tub rising at the same time, fresh water firstly via the pipeline 5 and the pump 6, then also via the vortex nozzles 7 and the pipeline 8 run through the pump and the drain line 13 until the level has reached the level sensor 10 and the shut-off valve 14 is closed.
  • the passage cross section of the shut-off valve 14 is dimensioned so that it is in any case less than the least installed inlet cross section, so that a safe filling of the tub is ensured.
  • shut-off valve 14 With this form of system pre-flushing, with a corresponding design of the cross section of the shut-off valve 14, flushing with about 5 liters of water is achieved before each "vortex bath". If the drain plug 2 is opened after the bath, the shut-off valve 14 also opens after falling below the level sensor 10, the switching relay 15 simultaneously interrupting the current supply to the motor, so that the motor can no longer be switched on. Since the shut-off valve 14, which is slightly below the suction opening 4, is open when de-energized, the pipes 8 and 5 and the pump 6 can run completely empty, which is further supported by laying the pipes in question with a slight gradient.
  • FIG. 2 shows a modified version of the trough according to FIG. 1.
  • an additional level sensor 10 ' is provided above the suction opening 4, but below the nozzles 7, which is connected to the switch 15 via a signal transmitter 11' and a time relay 23.
  • the pump is expediently arranged so that the connection of the pressure line 8 to the pump housing represents the lowest point of the system, so that the drain line 13 must also be connected in this area.
  • the pump 16 is automatically operated briefly via the signal generator 11' and the timing relay 23 set so that the piping system is flushed under pressure for a short time.
  • shut-off valve 14 is closed.
  • at least one additional shut-off valve 24 is arranged in the region of the pipeline 8, which is also open when de-energized, but closes for this “flushing time” via the timing relay 23 when the pump 16 is switched on. With this arrangement, the shut-off valve 14 must then close before the pump switches on. Even if the time relay switches the pump off after the predetermined time and the shut-off valve 24 opens, the pump 6 can only be switched on for bathing operation when the level sensor 10 enables this switching operation.
  • FIG. 3 an embodiment for a vortex nozzle tank with a large filling volume is shown schematically. In such large pools, the filling is only changed after repeated use, depending on the type of water conditioning.
  • the basin 1 has a closable outlet 2 with an outlet nozzle 3 which is connected to the sewage pipe of the building.
  • a suction opening 4 is provided in the floor area or at a short distance above the floor level, which is connected via a pipe 5 to the suction side of a pump 6.
  • a filter 17 is arranged either on the suction side of the pump or on the pressure side of the pump, as shown here.
  • a valve outlet leads to the swirl nozzles 7, while a drain line 13 is connected to the other valve outlet, which is connected to the drain port 3 of the basin.
  • the signal generator 11 only releases the switch 20 for the pump drive motor when the level sensor 22 is covered in the basin.
  • a timing relay 21 and the actuator 19 of the three-way valve 18 are simultaneously switched, through which the inlet from the filter 17 to the swirl nozzles 7 is shut off and the drain line 13 is opened.
  • the shut-off valve 18 remains open for the time specified by the time relay 21, so that the suction line, the pump and the filter 17 are first flushed with water from the pool. After the predetermined time, the shut-off valve 18 is reset so that the drain line 13 is closed and the feed line 8 to the swirl nozzles 7 is opened and normal operation is possible.
  • the drain line 13 is connected to the pipeline 8 designed as a ring line and if each nozzle 7 is assigned a shut-off valve 24 ', which is also kept open when de-energized.
  • These additional valves 24 ' are connected to the timing relay 21 and are closed when the pump 16 is switched on for the same period of time for which the three-way valve 18 to the shut-off line 13 is open. In this way, not only the filter 1.7, but also the entire pipeline system are flushed out.
  • the level sensor 10 above the nozzles 7 ensures that the nozzles 7 are also covered when switching to bathing operation. If the level of the sensor 10 falls below the level of the sensor 10 when the water level in the pool is low, the pump also switches off automatically here.
  • the system pre-flushing can be achieved by appropriate coupling with the means described.
