Definitions

  • the invention relates to a closure cap made of plastic for container openings, consisting of a cover plate and a cylindrical guide, on the inside of which locking elements are arranged, which snap resiliently under closure under a collar at the container opening.
  • a closure cap of the type indicated above has become known from BE-A-655 490.
  • the cover plate can be separated from the cylindrical guide in order to make the contents of the container accessible.
  • the locking elements in the cylindrical guide have a ramp-like configuration, so that when the closure cap is fitted and when it slides on the collar at the container opening, the cylindrical guide is expanded until the locking elements engage behind the collar.
  • the cylindrical guide is no longer removable, so that the closure cap can only be used once, but is no longer usable after use, not even for a makeshift closure or for similar purposes.
  • the keg base is provided with a valve which can be connected to a removal device.
  • These valves should be fitted with a sealing cap to protect the valves from damage or contamination during transport. If a closure cap of the type specified at the outset is used in these KEG barrels, protection could be obtained during transport, but it would not be possible to protect the valves again with the same closure cap even after emptying.
  • the valve should be able to be protected with both the filled and emptied drums with the same closure cap, and in particular protection should be provided in order to rule out uncontrollable manipulation of the valve.
  • the invention solves this problem with a closure cap of the type mentioned in that the tab-like locking elements are designed such that they can be damaged or torn during the opening process, that they are held only with their end facing away from the cover plate on the cylindrical guide and with grasp its end facing the cover plate, which is resiliently movable relative to the cylindrical guide, under the plate of a valve closure for KEG barrels, with viewing windows for the locking elements being arranged in the cylindrical guide.
  • the closure cap according to the invention provides that the cover plate is not separated from the cylindrical guide during normal use.
  • a normal opening takes place in that the blocking action of the blocking elements is overcome, these blocking elements being damaged during the opening process, for example being bent or broken off. In this way, the cap can be replaced after emptying the barrel.
  • closure cap In the closure cap according to the invention, it is also always possible to determine whether the closure has been opened because the locking elements are visible through the viewing window, so that any damage to the locking elements can be seen.
  • the arrangement made also simplifies and simplifies production.
  • the resilient locking elements also make it easier to put the cap on the valve. When pressed on, the locking elements can spring back into the window and do not hinder the installation. In the attached position, the locking elements engage under the valve plate.
  • the viewing windows essentially correspond to the dimensions of the locking elements. On the one hand, this simplifies production, and on the other hand, manipulation is made more difficult because there is no gap between the blocking elements and the viewing windows, which can be reached with a suitable tool.
  • part of the cylindrical guide can be torn off.
  • the tear point can also be characterized by perforation.
  • the tearing off facilitates the proper handling of the cap.
  • the perforation is e.g. B. attached so that when tearing the locking elements remain on the torn part.
  • This embodiment has the additional advantage that when the cap is replaced, for example for the return transport, the damaged locking elements cannot form an obstacle.
  • the closure cap according to FIGS. 1-3 essentially consists of a cover plate 6 and a cylindrical guide 2.
  • viewing windows 3 are provided all around at regular intervals. These viewing windows 3 can continue into the cover plate 6, as can be seen in FIG. 3.
  • the blocking elements 1 are seated in the viewing windows 3.
  • the blocking elements 1 are formed on the lower part of the window 3, as can be seen from FIG. 1. It is expedient if the closure cap has as many locking elements 1 as possible.
  • the locking elements 1 in the closure cap according to FIG. 1 are each formed with the aid of a slide which is pushed in through the viewing window 3. This method of production requires relatively little effort.
  • Fig. 1 it can be seen how the locking elements 1 reach through their inclined position under the valve plate 7 shown with dash-dotted lines.
  • the blocking elements 1 spring back into the viewing window 3 and thereby permit the fitting to be carried out.
  • the locking elements move inwards and engage under the valve plate 7.
  • the sealing cap is held on the valve, on the other hand, the valve plate 7 offers the blocking elements 1 an obstacle that damages the blocking elements when the cap is removed , for example tears off.
  • the breaking points 5 of the locking elements can have different wall thicknesses, as can be seen in FIGS. 5 and 6.
  • the thick point 14 of the breaking point 5 tears, while the thin point 13 is elastic enough to avoid breaking due to bending.
  • the locking elements 1 can also have a rod shape, i.e. H. have a greater height than the width. This ensures that they are damaged in the event of manipulation, namely that they are kinked.
  • the locking elements 1 are connected to the lower part 4 of the cylindrical guide via a thin breaking point 5.
  • breaking point 5 makes it easier to tear off the locking elements.
  • the breaking point 5 can also be a perforation.
  • the viewing window 3 also extends to the cover plate 6 of the closure cap, as can be seen in FIG. 3, the detection of damage to the locking elements is made easier.
  • an opening of the closure cap is even easier to recognize when the cover plate bears one or more break lines 15.
  • the z. B. is formed as a perforation, divided. The opening of the cap is facilitated, while the detection of damage is very easy.
  • a cover plate is generally no longer usable as a protective cap.
  • the locking elements 1 are connected to the lower part 4 of the cylindrical guide without breaking point.
  • the perforation sits here at the window space 8 at the same height as the lower edge of the viewing window 3. After cutting through this perforation 9, the lower part 4 with the blocking elements 1 can be removed. The rest of the cap is simply lifted off to empty the barrel and put back on for transport back.
  • the top 10 of the cover plate 6 can be used to identify the contents of the barrel.
  • the collar or flange 11 makes it easier to handle the closure cap.
  • FIG. 1 Another embodiment of the invention is shown in FIG. A plurality of sections 16 are provided on the circumference of the cylindrical guide 2, some of which extend into the cover plate 6, and which in particular can be broken off. In the exemplary embodiment shown, three such sections are provided, one of which has broken off. Between these sections 16, sections 17 are provided which are firmly connected to the cover plate 6 and, in the exemplary embodiment shown, have only ribs 12, as shown, for example, in FIG. 4.
  • the sections 16 are by separating cuts 18th Compared to the cover plate 6 and are each provided with the viewing windows 3 and the locking elements 1.
  • the closure cap according to the embodiment of FIG. 8 is pressed onto the valve plate 7 in the same way as is the case with the other embodiments.
  • the locking elements 1 of the sections 16 hold the cap.
  • the sections 16 are broken off, which is facilitated by the separating cut 18, so that the material only has to be broken through in the region of the cylindrical guide.
  • a perforation can also be provided in the region of the cylindrical guide, which facilitates the breaking off of the sections 16.
  • the caps according to the invention generally have a very small wall thickness, which is less than, for example, shown in the drawings. As a rule, wall thicknesses of about one millimeter or a little less are sufficient.
