Abstract
Description
- Die Erfindung betrifft eine kalt- oder heißsiegelbare Mehrschichtfolie für wiederverschließbare Verpackungen, die sowohl als Verschlußmembran für vorgeformte Behälter als auch selbst zur Formung von Behältern verwendet werden kann und bei der Kalt- oder Heißversiegelung hermetisch dichte Verschlüsse ergibt, die nach erstmaligem öffnen mehrmals wieder von'Hand verschlossen werden können.
- Kalt- oder heißsiegelbare Mehrschichtfolien, die als Verschlußmembranen für Behälter dienen oder selbst zu Behältern geformt werden können, sind bereits bekannt. Herkömmliche Mehrschichtfolien dieser Art haben jedoch den Nachteil, daß daraus hergestellte Verpackungen nach dem öffnen entweder überhaupt nicht wieder verschlossen werden können oder aber zumindest nicht durch einfaches Zusammenfügen von Hand. Kaltsiegelbare Folien lassen sich zwar bis zu einem gewissen Grad von Hand verschliessen, jedoch nur unter Anwendung von verhältnismäßig hohem Druck und nur durch Gegeneinanderpressen zweier kaltsiegelbar beschichteter Flächen. Den Kaltsiegelbeschichtungen haftet außerdem der Nachteil an, daß sie leicht klebrig sind und deshalb nicht mit jedem beliebigen Füllgut in Kontakt gebracht werden können, z.B. nicht mit stäubenden Gütern.
- Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es daher, eine kalt- oder heißsiegelbare Mehrschichtfolie für wiederverschließbare Verpackungen bereitzustellen, die nach erstmaligem öffnen der Kalt- oder Heißsiegelverbindung ohne besondere Kraftanstrengung durch einfaches Andrücken des geöffneten Teiles an eine beliebige Stelle der Mehrschichtfolie oder an eine geeignete Fläche eines anderen Gegenstandes, z.B. des offenen Behälterrandes, ein- bis mehrmals wieder verschlossen werden kann.
- Gegenstand der Erfindung ist eine kalt- oder heißsiegelbare Mehrschichtfolie für wiederverschließbare Verpackungen, die dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, daß sie auf einer Trägerfolie eine permanent klebende Schicht aufweist, die auf der der Trägerfolie abgewandten Seite eine Abdeckschicht aus einem Material mit geringer Reißdehnung und Weiterreißfestigkeit aufweist. Dieses Material kann selbst kalt-oder heißsiegelbar sein, so daß keine besondere Siegelschicht erforderlich ist. Andernfalls wird auf die Abdeckschicht eine Kalt- oder Heißsiegelschicht aus herkömmlichen Kalt- oder Heißsiegelmedien aufgebracht.
- Im folgenden wird die Erfindung anhand bevorzugter Ausführungsformen unter Bezug auf die Zeichnung näher erläutert. Es zeigen:
- Fig. 1 einen schematischen Querschnitt durch eine erfindungsgemäße Mehrschichtfolie in Form einer Verschlußmembran auf einem vorgeformten Behälter in teilweise geöffnetem Zustand;
- Fig. 2a einen schematischen Querschnitt durch eine erfindungsgemäße Mehrschichtfolie, die selbst zum Verpacken eines Gegenstandes dient;
- Fig. 2b einen schematischen Querschnitt durch die Verpackung von Fig. 2a, nachdem diese geöffnet und wieder verschlossen worden ist.
- Die in Fig. 1 gezeigte Mehrschichtfolie besteht aus einer Trägerfolie 1, einer permanent klebenden Schicht 2, einer Abdeckschicht 3 und einer Siegelschicht 4.
- Geeignete Materialien für die Trägerfolie 1 sind z.B. Polyester, wie Polyethylenterephthalat, Polyamid, biaxial orientiertes Polypropylen, Zellglas, Polyvinylchlorid, Metalle, wie Aluminium, und Papier.
- Die permanent klebende Schicht 2 besteht beispielsweise aus Heißschmelzklebern auf Basis von Ethylen-Vinylacetat-Copolymeren, Styrol-Butadien-Styrol-Blockcopolymeren, Styrol-Isopren-Styrol-Blockcopolymeren oder Polyacrylaten oder anderen geeigneten Haftklebstoffen.
- Die Abdeckschicht 3 besteht aus einem Material geringer Reißdehnung und Weiterreißfestigkeit von geeigneter Schichtdicke. Bevorzugte Materialien dieser Art sind Polyethylen, Polypropylen, Polyamid, Polyvinylchlorid, Polycarbonat, Polystyrol, Hot-melts auf Basis von Ethylen-Vinylacetat-Copolymeren, Zellglas und Metalle, wie Aluminium.
- Wenn das Material der Abdeckschicht 3 selbst siegelfähig ist, wie dies bei Polyethylen der Fall ist, erübrigt sich eine gesonderte Siegelschicht. Andernfalls wird auf die Abdeckschicht eine Siegelschicht 4 aus herkömmlichen Kalt-oder Heißsiegelmedien aufgebracht.
- Wird eine Mehrschichtfolie der in Fig. 1 gezeigten Art als Verschlußmembran auf die öffnung eines vorgeformten Behälters 5, z.B. eines Bechers, aufgesiegelt und später mit Hilfe einer Abreißlasche ganz oder teilweise vom Behälterrand getrennt, so reißt zu Beginn des öffnungsvorgangs die Abdeckschicht 3 ein. Bei fortschreitendem Aufreißen der Siegelnaht bleibt die Abdeckschicht 3 infolge ihrer geringen Weiterreißfestigkeit im Bereich der Siegelnaht auf dem Behälterrand zurück. Dadurch wird die permanent klebende Schicht 2 freigelegt. Um den Behälter wieder zu verschließen, müssen lediglich die Nahtflächen wieder aufeinandergelegt und leicht gegeneinander gedrückt werden.
- Bei der in den Fig. 2a und 2b gezeigten Ausführungsform dient die Mehrschichtfolie selbst als Verpackungsmaterial für einen Gegenstand 6. In Fig. 2a ist die Verpackung im ungeöffneten Zustand, in Fig. 2b im geöffneten und wiederverschlossenen Zustand dargestellt.
- Auch bei dieser Ausführungsform umfaßt die Mehrschichtfolie eine Trägerfolie 1, eine permanent klebende Schicht 2, eine Abdeckschicht 3 aus einem Material von geringer Reißdehnung und Weiterreißfestigkeit sowie gegebenenfalls eine Siegelschicht 4. Für die einzelnen Schichten können dieselben Materialien wie bei der Ausführungsform von Fig. 1 verwendet werden.
- In Fig. 2b ist ein Teil des verpackten Gegenstandes, z.B. Schokolade, bereits entnommen, und der Faltverschluß ist an einer anderen Stelle wieder verschlossen. In diesem Fall ist es von Vorteil, die Abdeckschicht 3 auf der der permanent klebenden Schicht 2 zugewandten Seite mit einer Abhäsivschicht 5 zu versehen, um einen Kohäsionsbruch der Schicht 2 zu vermeiden und eine nicht-klebende Seite der aufgerissenen Naht zu erhalten. Als Abhäsivmaterialien für die Schicht 5 eignen sich z.B. Silikone.
- Bei allen vorstehend beschriebenen Ausführungsformen und insbesondere in Anwendungsfällen, bei denen die Mehrschichtfolie größeren mechanischen Belastungen standhalten muß, können in der Abdeckschicht entlang der gewünschten Aufreißlinie Sollbruchstellen in Form von Schwächungslinien erzeugt werden, z.B. mit Hilfe von geeigneten Siegelwerkzeugen. Hierdurch gelingt es zusätzlich, die Aufreißkraft der Abdeckschicht niedriger als die Kohäsionskraft der Siegelnaht zu halten.
- Die Trägerfolie der erfindungsgemäßen Mehrschichtfolie steht für dekorative Zwecke zur Verfügung und kann z.B. bedruckt werden. Dies schafft die Möglichkeit, die von der geöffneten Verpackung abgezogene Mehrschichtfolie aufgrund ihrer selbstklebenden Eigenschaften für andere Zwecke zu verwenden, sie z.B. auf andere Substrate aufzukleben.
