Definitions
- the invention relates to a cabinet with a sliding door, in particular mirror door, with a profile element arranged in the area of the lower edge at the rear of the sliding door, which has a downwardly open space for at least one roller, and with guide means provided in a bottom rail, on which the sliding door can be moved in the horizontal direction by means of the roller.
- DE-PS 1 081 347 describes a guide for horizontally sliding doors, windows or the like, rollers being provided on the underside of the doors or windows, which roll, for example, on the windowsill.
- the roles mentioned are performed in a fixed frame that surrounds the window.
- said fixed frame has a guide groove at the top, into which the upper edge of the window projects and is guided by means of upper guide rollers.
- the window pane is enclosed in a frame which also accommodates the above-mentioned rollers or guide rollers.
- this frame requires a comparatively large production effort and, on the other hand, the free opening predetermined by the fixed frame is reduced, so to speak.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of designing a cupboard of the type mentioned with a low manufacturing and cost expenditure such that, on the one hand, safe and reliable guidance of the sliding door is achieved and, on the other hand, the sliding door, which is in particular designed as a mirror, is provided by other components the viewing is affected as little as possible.
- the profile element is designed as a profile rail extending along the lower edge of the sliding door, at least two rollers being arranged in the space formed as a channel, that the bottom rail is designed as a hollow profile and one behind the sliding door has upward approach and is narrower in the area below the sliding door than in the area below the interior and that the upper edge of the sliding door protrudes into guide means designed as grooves or channels of a head rail.
- the cabinet according to the invention is characterized by a simple and inexpensive construction, the sliding door, which is preferably designed as a mirror door, being practically visible in its entire size, since the profile rail is arranged on the back.
- the profile rail can also be produced very inexpensively in large quantities, the arrangement of the rollers in the downwardly open channel of the profile rail being achieved without any special manufacturing outlay. It is of particular importance that a profile rail is provided only on the underside of the sliding door, ie there is no complete frame comprising the sliding door. As a result, considerable material savings are achieved. An extremely low installation effort is guaranteed, since only in the area the underside of the sliding door on the back of which said rail must be arranged; it is therefore not necessary to prefabricate a complete frame in which the sliding door would then have to be inserted.
- Hollow profile formed hollow rail with the upward approach has high torsional rigidity and stability.
- the head rail with the guide means designed as grooves or channels also has high stability and rigidity, so that overall bends or the like can be reliably avoided and safe guidance of the sliding door of the cabinet is ensured with little effort for a long service life.
- the profile rail has an essentially horizontal extension which is arranged below the sliding door.
- the sliding door preferably rests on the approach mentioned, in order thus to obtain a simple and reliable support for the sliding door.
- the weight of the sliding door is at least partially absorbed by the approach mentioned.
- the front end of said approach is advantageously flush with the front surface of the sliding door, so that on the one hand a comparatively large bearing surface for the sliding door is achieved and on the other hand a continuous protection against damage is guaranteed.
- the approach expediently has a predetermined small distance from the guide means in the vertical direction. There is therefore only a comparatively small gap between the sliding door or extension and the guide means, through which only a small amount of dirt can penetrate and which furthermore the optical Overall impression practically unaffected. If it is in particular a mirror cabinet, the viewer will practically only see the displaceable mirror, with neither a frame surrounding the mirror nor gaps or the like interfering with it.
- the axes of the rollers are above the lower edge of the sliding door.
- the gap between the sliding door and guide means can easily be kept very small, and furthermore the roller diameter can easily be predetermined according to the requirements.
- a connecting element is arranged between the vertical wall of the profile rail and the sliding door.
- a connecting element By means of such a connecting element, a simple and reliable connection can be established between the sliding door and the profile rail.
- the connecting element is preferably designed as an adhesive strip which is coated on both sides with adhesive. Such an adhesive strip enables an extremely simple assembly of the sliding door including the profile rail, while on the other hand a permanent and durable connection is ensured.
- the connecting element may consist exclusively of adhesive.
- the above-mentioned vertical wall of the profile rail is advantageous beyond the essentially horizontal connecting web of the profile rail continued an extension approach.
- the extension lug ensures reliable alignment and guidance of the sliding door with respect to the profile rail, whereby an increase in stability is also achieved.
- such an extension approach also enables the arrangement of a correspondingly large connecting element, in particular adhesive strip, in order to be able to ensure a connection which satisfies the respective operating conditions.
- the bottom rail is designed as a hollow profile which has an upward-facing extension behind the sliding door (s).
- the bottom rail is thus relatively flat and narrow in the area of the sliding doors, while it is wider behind the mentioned approach. Due to the approach and the different thickness of the floor rail, it has good stability even with a small wall thickness. Furthermore, the manufacture of the bottom rail is simplified since the pressing tools can be designed relatively simply for the wider area behind the attachment.
- the guide means for the rollers or the sliding door are advantageously designed as grooves or channels in the surface of the floor rail.
- the sliding door or sliding doors can be easily inserted or removed with their rollers in the respective groove. It can be seen that this ensures extremely simple assembly, but also very easy cleaning of the sliding doors.
- the upper edge of the sliding doors protrude into guide means one Head rail into it.
- These guide means are expediently designed as grooves or channels of the head rail into which the sliding doors can be inserted with their upper edges in a simple manner. This ensures simple and reliable guidance and arrangement of the sliding door, reliably preventing the sliding door from tipping out.
- the total weight of the sliding door is carried by the lower guide rollers and that the latter upper guide means prevent it from tipping out of the essentially vertical position. Since the lower guide rollers are arranged behind the sliding door, ie eccentrically to their center of gravity, the sliding door lies against the front edge of the upper guide means due to its own weight. A tight seal is thus achieved even when taking into account tolerances caused by production, and on the other hand a "flutter" of the sliding doors due to external vibrations or the like is reliably avoided.
- the side walls of the guide means have guide strips.
- the size of these guide strips, which are preferably designed as brushes, can easily be adapted to the respective wall thickness of the sliding door.
- the head rail with the upper guide means can thus be used for differently designed sliding doors, the respective adaptation being carried out in a simple manner via the dimensioning of the guide strips or the brushes mentioned.
- the profile rails delimiting or dividing the interior are provided with curved projections in the region of the connection points. Due to the above-mentioned arcuate approaches, a rounded transition to the other components takes place, so to speak, avoiding sharp corners and edges. It can be seen that the rounded inner edges designed in this way reduce the risk of contamination and, on the other hand, there is a very simple cleaning possibility.
- the top and bottom rails are provided with curved approaches, but also lateral connection profiles or also middle partition profiles, by means of which the interior is divided. Furthermore, the arch-shaped approaches or rounded edges give a particularly appealing overall visual impression.
- the game cabinet shown in Figure 1 has two sliding doors 2, 4, which are designed as a mirror.
- the sliding doors 2, 4 are provided on their rear side 6, 8 in a known manner - not shown here with a thin mirror layer and, moreover, consist of a transparent material, in particular of glass.
- Profile rails 10, 12 are provided on the underside of the sliding doors 2, 4 and have a channel 14, 16 which is open at the bottom and extends in the longitudinal direction, that is to say perpendicular to the plane of the drawing. It is not necessary to emphasize that the sliding doors 2, 4 have such a spatial extension perpendicular to the plane of the drawing that the interior 18 can be completely closed by means of the sliding doors 2, 4.
- rollers 20, 22 are expediently provided at the respective lower ends of the sliding doors 2, 4, which roll on a bottom rail 24.
- the bottom rail 24 is designed as a hollow box profile and has guide means 26, 28 in the region of the sliding doors, which are designed as grooves in the surface 30 of the bottom rail 24. Behind the sliding door 2 or Profile rail 10, the bottom rail 24 has an upwardly directed shoulder 33. In the area of the sliding doors, the bottom rail is thus made relatively narrow, while in the rest, ie below the interior 18, it has a greater thickness; a floor rail designed in this way has a comparatively high stability even with a small wall thickness.
- the rollers 20, 22 are located in the channels 14, 16 behind the sliding doors 2, 4 and thus outside or eccentric to the respective center of gravity of the sliding doors. Furthermore, according to the invention, the axes of rotation 24, 36 of the rollers 20, 22 are located above the lower edges 38, 40 of the sliding doors. It can be seen that, due to the eccentric arrangement and mounting of the sliding doors 2, these slide into the upper guide means 42, 44 in the region of the front edges 46, 48.
- the latter guide means are provided in a head rail 50 and are designed as channels. On the side walls of the upper guide means 42, 44 there are guide strips 52, 54, 56, 58, which are each designed as brushes.
- these guide means can easily be specified according to the thickness of the sliding doors 2.4, so that the sliding doors can be easily pushed back and forth between the guide strips. Due to the eccentric arrangement of the sliding doors explained, they basically rest against the guide strips 54 and 58, which are located on the front sides 46, 48 of the upper guide means. Since these guide strips extend over the entire length of the head rail 50, a reliable seal is achieved.
- the bottom rail 24 has an arcuate extension 74 in the region of the connection point with the rear wall 72.
- the above-mentioned extension 74 projects upward beyond the surface 76 of the floor rail facing the interior 18, so that overall a rounded transition takes place from the surface 76 via the curved extension 74 to the rear wall 72.
- a soft, continuous transition from the bottom rail to the rear wall 72 is achieved, so to speak, so that the accumulation of dirt in the area of the connection point is avoided or easy cleaning is made possible.
- an arcuate extension 78 is also provided in the upper head rail 50, which protrudes beyond the surface 80 facing the interior 18.
- lateral rails not shown here, which form a connection between the bottom rail and the head rail
- these lateral rails are also provided in a corresponding manner with curved approaches.
- a middle separating rail is provided in the middle of the cabinet, that is to say in the middle between the lateral rails mentioned, for dividing the interior space 18, this rail is also provided with corresponding curved approaches in the context of this invention in order to round it off to maintain a continuous transition to the other components, i.e. the rear wall and / or the floor or head rails.
- a contact surface 82 for the rear wall 72 adjoins the extension 74 of the base rail 24 described above.
- a contact surface 84 adjoins the extension 78 of the head rail 50. It can be seen that a simple and reliable connection of the rear wall 72 is made possible by the abovementioned bearing surfaces 82, 84 and on corresponding bearing surfaces of the lateral profile rail.
- the contact surfaces 82, 84 extend in the direction facing away from the interior, so that screws or similar fastening elements, as indicated by the dash-dotted lines, are located outside the interior 18.
- FIG. 2 shows an enlarged partial section of the sliding door 2 and the bottom rail 24.
- the profile rail 10 has an extension 60 below the lower edge 40, on which the sliding door 2 expediently rests.
- the extension 60 is at a comparatively small distance 62 from the surface 30 of the bottom rail 24 and, as a result, a relatively good seal is also ensured in the region of the lower edge of the sliding door.
- a labyrinth-like seal is practically achieved in the bottom rail.
- the sliding door 4 (not shown in FIG. 2) is assigned to its profile rail in a corresponding manner, so that the explanations for the sliding door 2 also apply accordingly to the sliding door 4.
- the rail 10 has a vertical wall 64, which is extended over a substantially horizontal connecting web 66 upwards with an extension approach 68.
- a Verbindun g s-element 70 is in the form of a both-sided be adhesive- layered adhesive tape provided. The assembly of the sliding door and profile rail can thus be carried out in a simple manner very quickly and without any special effort.

Abstract
