Definitions

  • the invention relates to a hinge arm with a mounting plate, which are provided on the one hand with a spring-loaded, at the end of a pivotable lever or bracket arranged locking projection and on the other hand with a locking opening, which by inserting the hinge arm into a guide of the mounting plate and moving in the longitudinal direction in its releasable , snap together locked position, and with a stop that limits the displacement when or after the snap-together of the interlocking parts.
  • Snap connections for attaching hinge arms to mounting plates which have already been preassembled, for example, on supporting wall abutment parts are already known in various embodiments. They serve the need to be able to assemble furniture parts provided with hinge joints quickly and easily. Usually, it is necessary to screw the hinge arms onto the associated mounting plates, which is simple work, but, for example in the case of doors provided with a plurality of hinge joints, nevertheless requires a cumulative expenditure of time. It should also be taken into account that the hinge arms usually have to be screwed on while holding the door at the same time, which makes the installation work more difficult. Hinge arms locked in place with snap connections to the mounting plates help here.
  • a sleeve-shaped receiving part is connected to the supporting wall stop part and is provided with guides for the hinge arm to be inserted, the hinge arm or the sleeve-shaped receiving part having latching openings in one part and spring-loaded latching pins in the other part, which fall into the latch opening when passing over it, are provided.
  • This known snap connection for hinge arms has the disadvantage that play of the locking pins in the locking openings cannot be avoided in principle, so that a disturbing wobble of the parts connected by the hinge joints can occur. Furthermore, it is difficult to design this known snap connection so that the hinge arm can still be aligned after its assembly.
  • a stop is provided so that when the hinge arm is inserted into the guide of the fastening plate it is not necessary to search for a long time for the parts which are locked together to be aligned.
  • This known hinge arm also has the disadvantage that play in the guide and the locking connection cannot be avoided, so that a disturbing wobble is to be feared.
  • the object of the invention is to provide an easily assembled snap connection for hinge arms with the associated mounting plates of the type specified, which ensures a play-free connection even when the usual manufacturing tolerances are present.
  • this object is achieved in that the latching projection has a flank with which it is supported on an edge or one side of the latching opening in such a way that the hinge arm or the fastening plate is pressed with a counter-stop constantly against the stop of the other part without play .
  • flank of the spring-loaded locking projection constantly exerts a thrust on the edge region of the locking opening on which it is supported, the fastening plate and the hinge arm are clamped together so that no play can occur between the two parts.
  • the flank is to be designed in such a way that it cannot completely immerse into the latching opening and there is a sufficiently long wedge-shaped surface which exerts the thrust.
  • the distance between the flank of the latching projection and the pivot axis of the lever carrying the lever continuously decreases, starting from its support area on the edge or the side of the latching opening, so that it exerts a constant thrust on the rim area of the latching opening.
  • an adjusting screw serving for the joint adjustment is screwed into the hinge arm, which is provided with an annular groove, is guided in this in an elongated hole-shaped guide of the fastening plate and with the flanks of the annular groove the upper and lower edges of the guide spreads.
  • the groove in the adjusting screw into the slot-shaped guide it is expediently open on one side.
  • the guide in the mounting plate expediently consists of longitudinal grooves arranged on both sides thereof, into which the expediently U-shaped hinge arm engages with sliding edges which are angled inward from the ends of its legs.
  • the stops and counter-stops serving for tensioning can be formed by the groove ends and the end edges of the sliding edges.
  • the sliding edges are guided with play in the grooves and the end regions of the grooves are inclined upwards or downwards to compensate for play. If the sliding edges move into the angled or curved end region of the grooves, since these are straight, they abut the groove flanks, so that the resulting canting compensates for any play.
  • the lever can be provided with two locking projections on both sides of the center line of the hinge arm.
  • the slot-shaped guide for the adjusting screw is expediently arranged in the central region of the fastening plate and is open towards the outer end.
  • the lever with upward-facing tooth-like projections is mounted on a transverse bolt fastened in the side carriage of the fastening plate and the latching openings are in the form of slots in the web part of the U-shaped hinge arm.
  • the compression spring loading the locking lever can be arranged in a recess in the fastening plate.
  • a lever provided with a hook-shaped recess is pivotally mounted in a recess of the mounting plate, which holds the locking lever in its pivoted-in position and is provided with an upstanding nose, by means of which it is pivoted into its position releasing the locking lever when the hinge arm is pushed open.
  • the mounting plate can be prepared for mounting the hinge arm.
  • two locking levers are pivotally mounted about a bolt which is fastened vertically in the fastening plate and engage in lateral slot-shaped locking openings of the hinge arm.
  • the locking levers can be designed with two arms, interact like a pair of pliers, held in their spread position by a screw torsion spring encircling the bearing bolt, which is supported with its legs on the locking levers, and project beyond the fastening plate with their rear ends. To release the latching connection, it is only necessary to compress the rear ends of the latching levers, as a result of which the latching projections emerge from the latching openings.
  • the locking lever is mounted about a horizontal cross bolt in the hinge arm and engages with its tooth-like projections in locking openings in the fastening plate.
  • the fastening plate is expediently formed in two parts and provided with a longitudinally displaceable plate.

  • the latching projections are arranged at the ends of the legs of a U-shaped bracket and the legs are guided in guides which cross laterally on the fastening plate and the longitudinal guide grooves for the sliding webs of the hinge arm, that a compression spring between which the Leg of the bracket connecting web and the base of a hole in the mounting plate is clamped and that the locking projections protrude from below into the longitudinally displaceable guide grooves of the mounting plate that they engage in their locking position behind the rear edges of the sliding webs of the hinge arm guided therein define this between themselves and the stops formed by the groove ends.
  • the locking connection between the hinge arm and the mounting plate can be released in a simple manner in that the bracket is pressed down against the force of the compression spring.
  • the latching projection is formed by angling the lever which is freely pivotably mounted in the hinge arm and is held by a stop at the height of a sleeve-shaped guide of the fastening plate in which a pressure piece which can be pressed in against spring force is guided so that the latching opening in the wall of the sleeve-shaped guide is provided and that the pressure piece presses the bend after inserting the lever into the guide against an edge of the latching opening in such a way that the hinge arm with its counter-stops is pressed against the stops of the fastening plate.
  • the hinge arm or the cover or fastening plate are provided with second latching recesses in the region of their rear parts in the direction of insertion.
  • the hook-shaped latching projections of the latching levers initially snap into these latching recesses when the hinge arms are pushed on, so that the furniture parts to be hinged are pre-fixed before being moved into their final position, in which the latching projections snap into the front latching recesses in the direction of insertion, which further facilitates assembly becomes.
