Claims (9)
1. Anvendelse af modificeret vaccinia virus Ankara (MVA), hvor MVA'en er stamme MVA-BN, der er deponeret ved European Collection of Cell Cultures (ECACC), Salisbury (UK) under nummer V00083008, eller derivater deraf, hvor Ankara-stammen MVA-BN og dens derivater er kendetegnet ved (i) at være i stand til reproduktiv replikation i kyllingeembryofibroblaster (CEF) og babyhamsternyrecellelinjen BHK, men ikke i stand til reproduktiv replikation i de humane cellelinjer HaCat, HeLa og 143B, og ved (ii) ikke at kunne replikere i en musestamme, der er ude af stand til at danne modne B- og T-celler og som sådan er stærkt immunsvækket og yderst modtagelig for en replikerende virus, til fremstilling af et medikament til behandling af et neonatalt dyr, herunder et menneske, hvor MVA'en er en virus, der mislykkes med at inficere det neonatale dyr, herunder et menneske, og hvor behandlingen inducerer eller forstærker modningen af immunsystemet, hvor modningen korrelerer med en stigning i antallet af dendritceller og deres precursorceller.
2. Anvendelse ifølge krav 1, hvor de dendritiske cellers forstadieceller er plasmacytoide dendritiske celle-forstadier.
3. Anvendelse ifølge krav 1 eller 2, hvor forstærkningen af færdigudviklingen af immunsystemet er korreleret med en i det mindste 1,5-foldig forøgelse af koncentrationen af Flt3-L to dage efter indgivelsen af MVA.
4. Anvendelse ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 3, hvor lægemidlet indgives ved oral, nasal, intramuskulær, intravenøs, intraperitoneal, intradermal, intrauterin og/eller subkutan tilførsel.
5. Anvendelse ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 4, hvor lægemidlet indgives med en terapeutisk virkningsfuld mængde i en første inokulation ("primings-inokulation") og i en anden inokulation ("boostings-inokulation") .
6. Anvendelse ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 5, hvor lægemidlet indgives til dyret, herunder et menneske, i en mængde på mindst 101 TCIDso (vævskultur-infektiøs dosis) af MVA.
7. Anvendelse ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 6, hvor virusgenomet omfatter mindst én heterolog nucleinsyresekvens.
8. Anvendelse ifølge krav 7, hvor den heterologe nucleinsyresekvens er valgt blandt en sekvens, som koder for mindst et antigen, en antigen epitop og/eller en terapeutisk forbindelse.
9. Anvendelse ifølge krav 7, hvor den heterologe nucleinsyresekvens koder for et protein valgt blandt interferon, IL-12, Flt3-L og GM-CSF
