Verfahren zur Herstellung von neuen Thiolthionophosphorsäureestern
Patentiert im Gebiet der Bundesrepublik Deutschland vom 9. Juni 1955' an

Die Priorität der Anmeldung in der Schweiz vom 10. Juni 1954 ist in Anspruch, genommen
Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf die Herstellung von
neuen Thiolthionophosphorsäureestern.
S-Alkyhnercaptoalkyl-, -Arylmercaptoalkyl- und
-Aralkylmercaptoalkyl-O, O-dialkylester der Monothiolphosphorsäure
sind durch die deutsche Patentschrift 830 509 bekanntgeworden. Das zu dieser Gruppe gehörende S-(jS-Äthyl-mercapto-äthyl)-O, O-diäthyl-monothiolphosphat
hat als systemisches Insektizid auch praktische Bedeutung erlangt, jedoch besitzt es eine hohe Toxizität für Warmblüter. Die
von der genannten Patentschrift umfaßten aromatischen Analogen haben weder weitere Beachtung noch
praktische Anwendung gefunden. Überraschenderweise wurde nun gefunden, daß die
bisher nicht bekanntgewordenen S-Arylmercapto- 15 methyl-O, O-dialkylester derThiolthionophosphorsäure
entsprechend der allgemeinen Formel

worin R Alkylreste mit höchstens je 3 Kohlenstoff- 25
atomen, X und Y Wasserstoff, Halogenatöme, nieder-
molekulare Alkyl- oder Alkoxygruppen und Z Wasserstoff, ein Halogenatom oder eine niedermolekulare
Älkylgruppe bedeuten, eine ausgezeichnete akarizide Wirksamkeit und zugleich eine relativ geringe Toxizitat
für Warmblüter aufweisen und sich deshalb für die Milbenbekämpfung insbesondere im Pflanzenschutz
vorzüglich eignen. Die insektizide Wirksamkeit ist im Vergleich zur akariziden Wirksamkeit relativ gering.
Dagegen lassen sich die neuen Thiolthionophosphorsäureester gemäß obiger Definition als Zusätzi
zu Insektiziden mit lang andauernder Wirksamkeit z. B. zu Dichlordiphenyltrichloräthan verwenden, da
sich ihre Wirksamkeit auf Pflanze» und andern Sub straten ebenfalls während längerer Zeit erhält.
Der erfindungsgemäß hergestellte Thiolthionosphosphorsäur e-0,O-düsopropyl-S-phenyl-mercaptomethylester
zeichnet sich gegenüber dem bekannten Thiolthionophosphorsäure-0,0
- diisopropyl - S - benzylester durch eine viel bessere Wirkung auf die gemeine Spinnmilbe (Tetranychus urticae) aus. Der verfahrensgemäß
hergestellte Thiolthionophosphorsäure-O, O-diäthyl-S-p-methylphenylmercaptomethylester
hat ungefähr eine gleich starke akarizide Wirkung auf den genannten Schädling (Imagines und
-Larven) wie der bekannte Thiolphosphorsäure-G, 0-diäthyl-S-p-methylphenylmercaptomethylester,
besitzt aber diesem gegenüber den Vorteil, einer bedeutend geringeren
Toxizität für Warmblüter.
Man kann die neuen Thiolthionophosphorsäureester jo gemäß obiger Definition in einfacher Weise herstellen,
indem man ein Halogen-methyl-aryl-sulfid der allgemeinen
Formel

die oben gegebene Bedeutung haben, mit einem Alkalisalz eines sauren Thiolthionophosphorsäure-O, O-dialkylesters

5c Die Reaktion wird vorteilhaft in einem indifferenten
Lösungsmittel, wie Wasser, Alkohol, Aceton oder aliphatischen oder aromatischen Kohlenwasserstoffen,
bei normaler oder leicht erhöhter Temperatur vorgenommen.
Zu den Halogenmethyl-aryl-sulfiden der allgemeinen
Formel (II) gelangt man durch Umsetzung von Formaldehyd mit einem Arylmercaptan der allgemeinen
Formel

worin X, Y und Z die oben gegebene Bedeutung haben, in Gegenwart von Halogenwasserstoff, z. B. in salzsaurer
oder bromwasserstoffsaurer wäßriger Lösung. Als Arylmercaptane der allgemeinen Formel (IV)"
können neben dem Thiophenol beispielsweise das 2-Chlor-, 3-Chlor-, 4-Chlor-, 2, 4-Dichlor-, 2, 5-Dichlor-,
2, 3, 4-Trichlor-, 2, 4, 5-Trichlor-, 2, 4, 6-Trichlor-,
3-Brom-, 4-Brom- und 4-Fluof-thiophenol, 2-Methyl-,
3-Methyl-, 4-Methyl-, 2-Äthyl-, 2-Isopropyl-, 4-Isopropyl-,
4-Tertiärbutyl-, 2-Methyl-4-brom-, 2-Methyl-5-chlor-,
2-Methyl-5-brom:, 3-Methyl-6-chlor- und 3-Methyl-4, 6-dichlor-thioptienol, 2-Methoxy-, 2,4-Dimethoxy-,
2, 5-Dimethoxy- und 3, 4-Dimethoxy-thiophenol Verwendung finden, welche alle bekannt sind.
Die genannten Thiophenole lassen sich größtenteils durch Reduktion der entsprechenden Sulfochloride
z. B. mittels Zink und Schwefelsäure herstellen. Nach analogen Verfahren lassen sich weitere substituierte
Thiophenole, z. B. das 3, 4-Dichlor-thiophenol, herstellen.
Als saure Thiolthionophosphorsäuredialkylester der allgemeinen Formel (III) kommen insbesondere
der Thiolthionophosphorsäure-O, O-dimethylester,
-O-methyl-0-äthylester, -O, O-diäthylester, -O, O-din-propylester,
-O-methyl-O-isopropylesterund-0,0-diisopropylester
in Betracht. Die nachstehenden Beispiele sollen die Herstellung der neuen Verbindungen
näher erläutern. Teile bedeuten darin Gewichtsteile; diese verhalten sich zu Volumteilen wie g zu cm3.
In einer gut gerührten Mischung von 17,9 Teilen 3, 4-Dichlorthiophenol, 100 Volumteilen 36°/oigerSalzsäure
und 9 Volumteilen 37°/oiger wäßriger Formaldehydlösung wird bei 25 bis 35 ° bis zur Sättigung Chlorwasserstoff
eingeleitet; die Aufnahme beträgt ungefähr 14 Teile. Hierauf wird mit Eiswasser verdünnt und
ausgeäthert, die Ätherauszüge werden mit kalter verdünnter Natronlauge und Wasser gewaschen und eingedampft.
Bei der Destillation des Rückstandes geht das (3,4-Dichlor-phenyl)-chlormethylsulfid unter
0,1 mm Druck bei 106 bis 109° über; die Ausbeute beträgt
18,5 Teile.
20,8 Teile O, O-diäthyl-thiolthionophosphorsaures
Natrium werden in 200 Volumteilen Aceton gelöst, filtriert und mit 21 Teilen (3, 4-Dichlor~phenyl)-chlormethylsulfid
14 Stunden unter Rückfluß gekocht. Man verdünnt mit Wasser, äthert aus und wäscht die
Ätherauszüge mit verdünnter Sodalösung und Wasser nach. Der Ätherrückstand wird bis zur Gewichtskonstanz getrocknet. Man erhält 36 Teile Thiolthionophosphorsäure-S-(3,
4-dichlorphenyhnercaptomethyl)-O, O-diäthylester als farbloses Öl, das bei einer Molekulardestillation
bei Kp10001 150° unzersetzt destilliert.

Die Siedepunktangaben für die Thiblthionophosphorsäureester

Claims (1)
- PATENTANSPRUCH:Verfahren zur Herstellung neuer Thiolthionophosphorsäureester, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man ein Halogenmethyl-aryl-sulfid der allgemeinen FormelHai — CH,R-O SR-O'worin R Alkylgruppen mit höchstens je 3 Kohlenstoffatomen bedeuten, zu einer Verbindung der allgemeinen FormelR-O S\PyR-Okondensiert, worin R, X, Y und Z die oben angegebene Bedeutung haben.worin X und Y Wasserstoff, Halogenatome, niedermolekulare Alkyl- oder Alkoxygruppen, Z Wasserstoff, ein Halogenatom oder eine niedermolekulare Alkylgruppe und Hai Chlor oder Brom bedeuten, mit einem Alkalisalz eines sauren Thiolthionophosphorsäure-O, O-dialkylesters der allgemeinen FormelIn Betracht gezogene Druckschriften: USA.-Patentschriften Nr. 2 266 514, 2 609 383; deutsche Patentschrift Nr. 830 509.® 609577/483 7.56 (609 777 1. 57)
