Zusatz zum Patent 925
Gegenstand des Patent's 925 192 ist die Verwendung von organischen Nitroverbindungen und, öllöslichen
Di- bzw. Polysulfiden von Xanthogenate! als Zusätze zu Schmiermitteln auf Mineralölbasis'.
Es ist auch bereits bekannt, Polysulfide von Olefinen als Hochdr uckschmier mi ttelzusätze für Mineralöle zu verwenden.
Es wurde gefunden, daß auch die Verwendung von organischen Nitroverbindungen und, an, Stelle
öllöslicher Di- bzw. Polysulfide von Xanthogenaten, öllöslichen oder durch Lösungsvermittler in
Lösung zu bringenden geschwefelten niedrigmolekularen Olefinen, die durch aromatische Reste substituiert sind, als Zusätze zu Schmiermitteln auf
der Basis von natürlichem und synthetischen Mineralölen und -fetten eine ganz wesentliche Verbesserung ihrer Hochdruckschmierfähigkeit bewirkt.
Geeignete organische Nitroverbindungen sind im
Patent 925 192 beschrieben.

wenn sie sich von Diolefinen ableiten. In diesen Formeln bedeutet R1 einen Aryl- oder Aralkylrest,
R2 Wasserstoff, einem Aryl-, Aralkyl- oder hetero-
cyclischen Rest, m eine Zahl von ο bis 2 und η eine
Zahl von 1 oder 2. Typische Vertreter sind Styrol, Stilben, Monophenylbutadien, Diphenylbutadien,
Mononaphthylbutadien, Dinaphthylbutadien usw., 5 ohne daß in dieser Aufzählung eine Beschränkung
liegen soll. Die Herstellung der geschwefelten Olefine ist z.B. aus Beilstein, 4. Auflage (1922),
Bd. 5, S. 475/476, bekannt.
Geeignete Lösungs Vermittler sind z. B. 2-Äthylhexanol,
2-Äthyl-i, 3-hexanidioil, 2-Methyl-pentandiol-i,
4, Diäthylenglykolmonoäthyläther, Diäthylenglykolmonobutyläther.
Die im einzelnen anzuwendenden Mengen an Nitroverbindungen und geschwefelten substituierten
niedrigmofekularen Olefinen und die jeweils zu verwendenden Verbindungen richten sich nach
dem Verwendungszweck. Im. allgemeinen beträgt der Anteil der Nitroverbindungen nur einen Bruchteil
der verwendeten geschwefelten substituierten niedrigmolekularen Olefine (bis zu 10 Gewichtsprozent
derselben,), von denen, je nach der geforderten Hoehdrackschmierfähigkeit, im allgemeinen.
Mengen zwischen etwa 0,5 undi 10 Gewichtsprozent, bezogen auf das reine Schmiermittel, in Betracht
kommen,.
Die neuen, Nitroverbindungen, und geschwefelte substituierte niedrigmolekulare Olefine enthaltenden
Schmiermittel zeigen gegenüber Metallen! bei normalen Temperaturen keine, bei erhöhten Tetnperaturen
und längeren Einwirkungszeiten nur geringfügige, praktisch nicht ins Gewicht fallende
Korrosionserscheinungen. Den durch die erwähnten Zusätze verbesserten Schmiermitteln
können noch andere Mittel zur Verbesserung der Hochdruckschmierfähigkeit sowie Viskosität^verbesserer,
Stoickpunktserniiedriger, Schaumverhinderer und. gegebenenfalls Antioxydationsmittel zugesetzt
werden,
Überprüft man die Hochdruckschmiierfähigkeit
auf dem allgemein! gebräuchlichen Vierkugelapparat (VKA) nach der in, »Öl und Kohle«, 1944, S. 19
bis 23 beschriebenen Methode, so sind bei Zusatz^ von, beispielsweise 0,1 bis 0,25 Gewichtsprozent
organischer Nitroverbindungen zusammen mit ι bis 2,5 Gewichtsprozent an geschwefelten substituierten
niedrigmolekularen Olefinen Belastungen von 400 bis über 1000 leg möglich, bevor ein Verschweißen
der Kugeln eintritt. Diese Verbesserung der Hoichdruckschmierfahigkeit geht über die
Summeniwirkung der einzelnen Komponenten weit hinaus.
Es ist bereits vorgeschlagen worden, Schwefel enthaltende Verbindungen, z. B. geschwefelte
Mineralöle, Arylmerkaptane, Alkylsulfide usw., zusammen mit Nitroverbindungen als Zusätze für
Schmiermittel auf Mineralölbasis zu verwenden. Die mit den bekannten Zusätzen, wie z. B. 1 Teil
Diilauryldisulfid im Gemisch mit 2/3 Teilen a-Nitronaphthaiin,
hergestellten Schmiermittel ergeben, bei der Prüfung auf dem Vierkugel apparat jedoch
höchstens VKA-Zahlen, von. 200 bis 250. Demgegenüber
war nicht vorauszusehen, daß Zusätze, die als Schwefelverbindungen die bislang noch
nicht für diesen Zweck verwendeten öllöslichen oder durch LösungsVermittler in Lösung zu bringenden
geschwefelten niedrigmolekularen Olefine, die durch aromatische Reste substituiert sind, enthalten, derartig
überlegene VKA-Zahlen ergeben.
Setzt man einem Getriebeöl mit einer VKA-Zahl
unter 180 (Dichte d\s — 0,9320, Viskosität bei 200
= 2260E, bei 500 = 22,50E, Viskositätsindex =13,
Stockpunkt—130) 5 Gewichtsprozent geschwefeltes
Styrol, hergestellt durch Umsetzen von Styrol mit Schwefel bei erhöhter Temperatur (Schwefelwert
23,5 °/o) zu, so erreicht man eine VKA-Zahl von 480,
Durch Zugabe von 0,25 Gewichtsprozent 2, 4-D1-nitrophenol zu der Mischung steigt die VKA-Zahl
auf 650. Der Zusatz von Dinitrophenol allein, zum Getriebeöl bewirkt keine Erhöhung der VKA-Zahl.

- Patentanspruch:Weitere Ausbildung des Gegenstandes des Patents 925 192, gekennzeichnet durch die Verwendung von öllöslichen oder durch Lösungsvermittler in Lösung zu bringenden geschwefelten niedrigmolekularen, Olefinen, die durch aro^ matische Reste substituiert sind, neben organischen Nitroverbindungen als Zusätze für Schmiermittel.Angezogene Druckschriften,: USA.-Patentschrift Nr. 2 574994; französische Patentschriften Nr. 953 948,960 793; britische Patentschriften Nr. 669206, 455305.1 9617 4.
