Description
- Diese Erfindung betrifft die Verwendung eines Glycolethercarbonates als ein Schmieröl, das für Kühlschränke verwendet wird, das ausgezeichnete Schmiereigenschaften und Detergenz hat. Diese Erfindung betrifft noch genauer die Verwendung eines Glycolethercarbonates als Schmieröl für Kühlschränke, worin hydrierter Fluorkohlenstoff (HFC) wie Freon R-134a (CH&sub2;FCF&sub3;), das für die Ozonschicht nicht schadlich ist, als ein Kühlmittel verwendet wird.
- DE-A-1 962 491 offenbart spezifische Glycolethercarbonatverbindungen, die bei der Herstellung von Bremsflüssigkeiten und als synthetische Schmiermittel verwendet werden können. Bei Bremsflüssigkeiten ist es wichtig, daß sie korrosionsresistent sind, beispielsweise bei Stahl oder Kupfer.
- GB-A-2 216 541 offenbart eine Schmiermittelzusammensetzung, umfassend einen Fluorkohlenwasserstoff, einen Chlorfluorkohlenwasserstoff oder einen Chlorfluorkohlenstoff und ein Schmiermittel. Die Schmiermittelzusammensetzung umfaßt einen Ester mit einem Molekulargewicht von mehr als 250. Eine derartige Zusammensetzung wird in einer Wärmeübertragungsvorrichtung verwendet.
- Mit der Änderung eines Kühlmittelgases für Kühlschränke zu Freon R-134a (CH&sub2;F-CF&sub3;), das ein die Ozonschicht nicht zerstörendes HFC ist, wurden Mineralöl und Alkylbenzole, die zuvor als Schmieröl für Kühlschränke verwendet wurden, dafür nicht verwendet, da sie keine wechselseitige Löslichkeit mit dem Kühlmittelgas haben. Schmieröl vom Glycolethertyp wurde gegenwärtig für das Schmieröl für Kühlschränke bzw. Kältemaschinen, bei denen das oben erwähnte Kühlmittel verwendet wird, entwickelt.
- Zum Beispiel offenbart US-PS 4,755,316 eine Kompressionskühlschrankzusammensetzung, die sich aus Tetrafluorethan und einem Polyoxyalkylenglycol mit einem Molekulargewicht von 300 bis 2000 und einer kinematischen Viskosität bei 37ºC von etwa 25 bis 150 mm²/s (cSt), zusammensetzt.
- Ein derartiges Glycolether-Schmieröl hat jedoch im allgemeinen eine unzureichende thermische Stabilität und eine hohe Hydroskopizität, und zusätzlich wurde ausgeführt, daß das Glycolether-Schmieröl einen solchen Nachteil hat, daß es Gummi-Abdichtmaterialien wie Nitrilgummi (NBR) schrumpft und deren Härte erhöht.
- US-PS 3,627,810 offenbart ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Carbonaten von höheren Alkoholen, dargestellt durch die Formel R'OCOOR", und es wird beschrieben, daß die Carbonate nützlich sind als Hydrauliköl, Schmieröl und Weichmacher. Die Beschreibung beschreibt jedoch nicht deutlich deren konkrete Verwendung, zum Beispiel als Schmieröl für Kühlschränke, insbesondere ein Kühlschrank-Schmieröl, das ausgezeichnet ist bezüglich der gegenseitigen Löslichkeit mit Freon, das die Ozonschicht nicht zerstört. In der obigen Formel sind R' und R" jeweils ein höherer Alkoholrest.
- US-PS 3,657,310 offenbart ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Carbonaten, dargestellt durch die Formel ROCOO(AO)nR'. Obwohl beschrieben ist, daß diese Carbonate als Schmieröl, Hydrauliköl und Weichmacher nützlich sind, wird deren konkrete Verwendung zum Beispiel für Schmieröl für Kühlschränke, insbesondere Kühlschrank-Schmieröl, das eine ausgezeichnete wechselseitige Löslichkeit mit dem die Ozonschicht nicht zerstörenden Freon hat, nicht offenbart. In der oben erwähnten Formel bedeuten R und R' jeweils eine monovalente aliphatische Gruppe, und A zeigt eine Alkylengruppe mit 2 bis 4 Kohlenstoffatomen an, wobei n eine ganze Zahl von nicht weniger als 1 ist.
- Das europäische Patent Nr. 089 709 offenbat ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Carbonates eines höheren Alkohols durch eine Esteraustauschreaktion zwischen einem höheren Alkohol mit einem Molekulargewicht von 100 bis 270 und einem Alkoholcarbonat mit einem niedrigeren Siedepunkt und eine Schmierölzusammensetzung, die ein solches Carbonat eines höheren Alkohols umfaßt.
- Das japanische Patent L-O-P Nr. 37,568/1973 offenbart eine Motortransmissionsflüssigkeit, umfassend zumindest ein Carbonat, dargestellt durch die folgende Formel
- R¹O-(-X-OCOO-)nX-OR²
- worin R¹ und R² jeweils unabhängig Wasserstoff, eine aliphatische Gruppe, eine aromatisch-substituierte aliphatische Gruppe, eine aromatische Gruppe, eine Acylgruppe, eine Alkoxycarbonaylgruppe oder eine Aryloxygruppe sind, worin n eine Zahl von 1 bis 10 ist und worin X eine Alkylengruppe mit zumindest zwei Kohlenstoffatomen in der Hauptmolekülkohlenstoffkette ist, worin die Molekülkette wahlweise eine Cykloalkylengrupe, eine Aralkylengruppe, eine Arylengruppe oder zumindest ein Heteroatom umfaßt. Die Verwendung der in der Veröffentlichung offenbarten Carbonatester liegt jedoch in der Übertragung von Flüssigkeit und nicht in einem Schmieröl.
- Weiterhin offenbart die japanische Patenveröffentlichung Nr. 4727/1971 ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Polyethylenglycol-monomethylethercarbonaten, dargestellt durch die allgemeine Formel
- CH&sub3;-(OCH&sub2;CH&sub2;-)xOCOO-(CH&sub2;CH&sub2;O-)yCH&sub3;
- worin x und y jeweils 2 oder 3 sind.
- Die Veröffentlichung lehrt, daß die Polyethylenglycolmonomethylethercarbonate, die oben beschrieben sind, nützlich für die Herstellung einer Bremsflüssigkeit sind, und sie sind ebenfalls nützlich als synthetische Schmiermittel. Jedoch offenbart sie nicht klar die konkrete Verwendung als ein Schmieröl für Kühlschränke, insbesondere Kühlschrank- Schmieröl, das ausgezeichnet bezüglich der gegenseitigen Löslichkeit mit die Ozonschicht nicht zerstörendem Freon ist.
- Diese Erfindung soll die oben erwähnten Probleme, die bei dem Verfahren des Standes der Technik involviert sind, lösen, und ein Ziel der Erfindung liegt darin, eine Schmierölzusammensetzung für Kühlschränke anzugeben, das ausgezeichnete Schmiereigenschaften und Detergenz hat und das ebenfalls eine ausgezeichnete gegenseitige Löslichkeit mit die Ozonschicht nicht zerstörendem Freon hat, wie Freon R- 134a (CH&sub2;FCF&sub3;).
- Diese Erfindung betrifft die Verwendung eines Glycolethercarbonates, dargestellt durch die allgemeine Formel (I)
- R&sub1;-O-(R&sub3;-O-)m-CO-(OR&sub4;-)nOR&sub2; (I)
- worin R&sub1; und R&sub2; jeweils unabhängig ausgewählt sind aus der Gruppe, bestehend aus einer aliphatischen Gruppe, einer alicyclischen Gruppe, einer aromatischen Gruppe und einer aromatisch-substituierten aliphatischen Gruppe mit jeweils nicht mehr als 20 Kohlenstoffatomen,
- und R&sub3; und R&sub4; jeweils unabhängig eine Ethylengruppe oder eine Isopropylengruppe sind, und
- worin m und n jeweils unabhängig eine ganze Zahl von 2 bis 100 sind, als ein Schmieröl für Kühlschränke.
- Die erfindungsgemäße Schmierölzusammensetzung hat ausgezeichnete Schmiereigenschaften und Detergenz, und ihre Viskosität bei niedriger Temperatur kann im Vergleich zu Mineralöl oder Ester-Schmieröl leicht vermindert werden.
- Die erfindungsgemäße Schmierölzusammensetzung ist nicht nur ausgezeichnet im Hinblick auf die oben beschriebenen Eigenschaften, sondern ebenso bezüglich der gegenseitigen Löslichkeit mit die Ozonschicht nicht zerstörenden Fluorkohlenwasserstoffen (Freon ) wie Freon R-134a , und kann daher als ein Schmieröl für Kühlschränke verwendet werden, bei denen die Ozonschicht nicht zerstörende Fluorkohlenwasserstoffe (Freon ) wie Freon R-134a (CH&sub2;FCF&sub3;) als ein Kühlmittel verwendet wird.
- Bei dem erfindungsgemäßen Schmieröl für Kühlschränke können ebenfalls solche Mittel, die die Ozonschicht nicht zerstörende Fluorkohlenwasserstoffe (Freon ) wie R-134a enthalten, zusätzlich zu einem Glycolethercarbonat verwendet werden, das durch die oben beschriebene allgemeine Formel (I) dargestellt ist.
- Der Ausdruck "Schmierölzusammensetzung" in dieser Beschreibung umfaßt Schmieröl, umfassend ein Glycolethercarbonat entsprechend dieser Erfindung und andere Bestandteile, und Schmieröl, das sich nur aus dem Glycolethercarbonat zusammensetzt.
- Die erfindungsgemäße Schmierölzusammensetzung wird nachfolgend konkret erläutert.
- Die erfindungsgemäße Schmierölzusammensetzung umfaßt ein Glycolethercarbonat, dargestellt durch die allgemeine Formel (I)
- R&sub1;-O-(R&sub3;-O-)mCO-(OR&sub4;-)nOR&sub2; (I)
- worin R&sub1; und R&sub2; jeweils unabhängig ausgewählt sind aus der Gruppe, bestehend aus einer aliphatischen Gruppe, einer alizyklischen Gruppe, einer aromatischen Gruppe und einer aromatisch substituierten aliphatischen Gruppe mit jeweils nicht mehr als 20 Kohlenstoffatomen.
- Hier umfassen konkrete Beispiele einer aliphatischen Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe, dargestellt durch R&sub1; und R&sub2; Methyl, Ethyl, Propyl, Isopropyl, Isobutyl, sec-Butyl-, tert-Butyl, Pentyl, Isopentyl, Nenopentyl, n-Hexyl, Isohexyl, n-Heptyl, Isoheptyl, n-Octyl, Isooctyl, n-Nonyl, Isononyl, n-Decyl, Isodecyl, n-Undecyl, Isoundecyl, n-Dodecyl, Isododecyl, n- Tridecyl, Isotridecyl, n-Tetradecyl, Isotetradecyl, n- Pentadecyl, Isopentadecyl, n-Hexadecyl, Isohexadecyl, n- Heptadecyl, Isoheptadecyl, n-Octadecyl, Isooctadecyl, n- Nonyldecyl, Isononyldecyl, n-Eicosanyl und Isoeicosanyl.
- Konkrete Beispiele einer alicyclischen Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe, dargestellt durch R&sub1; und R&sub2; umfassen Cyclohexyl, 1-Cyclohexenyl, Methylcyclohexyl, Dimethylcyclohexyl, Decahydronaphtyl und Tricyclodecanyl.
- Konkrete Beispiele einer aromatischen Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe, dargestellt durch R&sub1; und R&sub2; umfassen Phenyl, o-Tolyl, p-Tolyl, m-Tolyl, 2,4-Xylyl, Mesityl und 1- Naphthyl.
- Weiterhin umfassen konkrete Beispiele einer aromatischsubstituierten Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe, dargestellt durch R&sub1;und R&sub2;, Benzyl, Methylbenzyl, β-Phenylethyl (Phenethyl), 1- Phenylethyl, 1-Methyl-1-phenylethyl, p-Methylbenzyl, Styryl und Cinnamyl.
- In der oben beschriebenen allgemeinen Formel (I) sind R&sub3; und R&sub4; jeweils unabhängig eine Ethylengruppe oder eine Isopropylengruppe.
- Darüber hinaus sind in der oben beschriebenen algemeinen Formel (I) m und n jeweils unabhängig eine ganze Zahl von 2 bis 100.
- Erfindungsgemäß werden in der obigen allgemeinen Formel (I) R&sub1;, R&sub2;, R&sub3;, R&sub4;, m und n entsprechend der Verwendung ausgewählt. Wenn R&sub1;, R&sub2;, R&sub3;, R&sub4;, m und n für das durch die allgemeine Formel (I) dargestellte Glycolethercarbonat z.B. derart ausgewählt werden, daß das resultierende Glycolethercarbonat eine kinematische Viskosität (JIS K-2283) von etwa 8 mm²/s (cSt) bei 100ºC hat, wird eine Schmierölzusammensetzung, die das oben beschriebene resultierende Glycolethercarbonat umfaßt, vorzugsweise als Schmieröl für Kühlschränke verwendet, worin die Ozonschicht nicht zerstörende Fluorkohlenwasserstoffe wie Freon wie Freon R-134a (CH&sub2;FCF&sub3;) als ein Kühlmittel verwendet werden. Die bevorzugte Verwendung des oben erwähnten Glycolethercarbonates erfolgt aufgrund der besonders ausgezeichneten gegenseitigen Löslichkeit mit die Ozonschicht nicht zerstörenden Fluorkohlenwasserstoffen (Freon ) bei Temperaturen von nur -20ºC und 90ºC.
- Glycolethercarbonate, die durch die oben beschriebene allgemeine Formel (I) dargestellt sind, können beispielsweise durch Esteraustauschreaktion eines Polyalkylenglycolmonoalkylethers in der Gegenwart einer überschüssigen Menge eines Carbonates von einem Alkohol mit einem verhältnismäßig niedrigen Siedepunkt hergestellt werden. Ein solches Verfahren erfordert nicht die Verwendung eines hochtoxischen Gases, wie es der Fall bei dem Phosgenverfahren ist, und es ist daher im Hinblick auf die Sicherheit vorzuziehen.
- Konkrete Beispiele von Polyalkylenglycolmonoalkylethern, die oben beschrieben sind, umfassen Ethylenglycolmonoalkylether, Diethylenglycolmonoalkylether, Triethylenglycolmonoalkylether, Tetraethylenglycolmonoalkylether, Propylenglycolmonoalkylether, Dipropylenglycolmonoalkylether, Tripropylenglycolmonoalkylether und Tetrapropylenglycolmonoalkylether. Darüber hinaus können erfindungsgemäß Polyalkylenglycolmonoalkylether, die während der Herstellung der konkret oben erwähnten Polyalkylenglycolmonoalkylether als Nebenprodukte gebildet sind und verhältnismäßig hohe Siedepunkte haben, anstelle davon einzeln verwendet werden, und sie können ebenso in einer Mischung mit den konkret oben erwähnten Polyalkylenglycolmonoalkylethern verwendet werden.
- Weiterhin kann ein durch die allgemeine Formel (I) dargestelltes Glycolethercarbonat mit einer für die gewünschte Verwendung angemessenen Viskosität hergestellt werden, indem die Länge der Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe und der Polymerisationsgrad des Polyalkylenglycoles angemessen ausgewählt werden. Darüber hinaus können Eigenschaften wie Niedertemperatureigenschaften, Wärmeresistenz und Gummiquelleigenschaften des Polyalkylenglycols frei eingestellt werden, indem die Struktur der Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe und der Polyalkylengruppe davon ausgewählt werden.
- Die somit erhaltenen Glycolethercarbonate haben ausgezeichnete Schmiereigenschaften, niedrige Hygroskopizität und eine gute Detergenz im Vergleich zu Glycolethern, und daher können sie für industrielles Getriebeöl, Automobilmotorenöl, Automobilgetriebeöl, Schmieröl für Fasern, Schmieröl für Walzen und Schmieröl für Kühlschränke verwendet werden.
- Die erfindungsgemäße Schmierölzusammensetzung umfaßt ein Glycolethercarbonat in einer Menge von 1 bis 100 Gew.Teilen, bezogen auf 100 Gew.Teile der gesamten Schmierölzusammensetzung. Als ein Ergebnis kann das Glycolethercarbonat alleine als Schmieröl verwendet werden und es kann ebenso in Kombination mit anderen Komponenten zur Bildung des Schmieröls verwendet werden.
- Die erfindungsgemäße Schmierölzusammensetzung wird als ein Schmieröl für Kühlschränke verwendet, und die Schmierölzusammensetzung kann mit anderen verwendbaren Komponenten, einschließlich Glycolethern und Mineralöl und Leuchtstoff zusätzlich zu dem Glycolethercarbonat eingesetzt werden. Sie kann ebenso mit einem α-Olefin-Oligomer wie flüssigem Polybuten und flüssigem Decenoligomer, einem Carbonsäureester wie Diisooctyladipat, Diisooctylsebacat und Dilaurylsebacat und Pflanzenöl vermischt werden. Bei der Verwendung der erfindungsgemäßen Schmierölzusammensetzung als Schmieröl für Kühlschränke, worin HFC wie Freon R-134a (Tetrafluoroethan) spezifisch als ein für die Ozonschicht nicht störendes Schmiermittelgas verwendet wird, sind verwendbare andere Additive auf Glycolether und Carbonsäureester im Hinblick auf die gegenseitige Löslichkeit begrenzt. Die zugegebene Menge dieser Additive muß jedoch weniger als 60 Gew.% der gesamten Schmierölzusammensetzung sein, damit die Wärmeresistenz, gegenseitige Löslichkeit mit Freon R-134a (CH&sub2;FCF&sub3;) und die Hygroskopizitätsresistenz nicht verschlechtert werden. Darüber hinaus kann die Schmierölzusammensetzung bekannte Schmieröladditive wie oben beschrieben, enthalten. Weiterhin kann das Schmieröl für Kühlschränke ebenfalls die Ozonschicht nicht zertörende Fluorkohlenwassertoffe (Freon ) wie Freon R-134a (CH&sub2;FCF&sub3;) enthalten.
- Das erfindungsgemäße Schmieröl umfaßt ein spezifisches Glycolethercarbonat und hat daher ausgezeichnete Schmiereigenschaften und Detergenz. Zusätzlich kann seine Viskosität bei niedriger Temperatur im Vergleich zu Mineralöl oder Esterschmieröl leicht vermindert werden.
- Das erfindungsgemäße Schmieröl ist nicht nur im Hinblick auf die oben erwähnten Eigenschaften ausgezeichnet, sondern ebenso bezüglich der gegenseitigen Löslichkeit mit die Ozonschicht nicht zerstörendem Freon, einschließlich Freon R- 134a (CH&sub2;FCF&sub3;) und kann daher als Schmieröl für Kühlschränke verwendet werden, worin die Ozonschicht nicht zerstörende Fluorkohlenwasserstoffe (Freon ) wie Freon R-134a (CH&sub2;FCF&sub3;) als ein Kühlmittel verwendet wird.
- Konkrete Effekte, die erhalten werden, weine eine erfindungsgemäße Schmierölzusammensetzung als das Schmieröl für Kühlschränke verwendet wird, werden nachfolgend beschrieben.
- Da die erfindungsgemäße Schmierölzusammensetzung ein spezifisches Glycolethercarbonat umfaßt, ist es in Freon R- 134a (CH&sub2;FCF&sub3;) löslich, das ein HFC ist, das für die Ozonschicht nicht schädlich ist und das als ein Kühlmittelgas verwendet wird, hat darüber hinaus eine ausgezeichnete thermische Stabilität und Hygroskopizitätsresistenz, und sie verhindert die Schrumpfung von Gummiabdichtmaterialien wie NBR, um die Abdichtwirkungen aufrecht zu erhalten. Darüber hinaus kann das Schmieröl gemäß dieser Erfindung ebenfalls vergleichbare Abdichtwirkungen für EPDM und SBR beibehalten, und demgemäß können EPDM und SBR als Gummiabdichtmaterialien verwendet werden.
- Die vorliegende Erfindung wird nachfolgend unter Bezugnahme auf Beispiele erläutert, aber es sollte verstanden werden, daß die Erfindung in keinerlei Weise auf diese Beispiel beschränkt ist.
- Die Testverfahren, die nachfolgend beschrieben sind, wurden angewandt, um die Auswertung von Eigenschaften von Schmeiröl in den Beispielen und Vergleichsbeispielen durchzuführen.
- a. Kinematische Viskosität: JIS K -2283
- b. Viskosität bei niedriger Temperatur: ASTM D 2983
- Die Friktionskoeffizienten von Probenmaterialien werden unter den folgenden Bedingungen unter Verwendung eines Friktionstestgerätes gemessen (Warenname: SRV, hergestellt von Optimol K.K.)
- Beladung: 200 N;
- Temperatur: 50ºC;
- Zeitperiode: 10 min;
- Amplitude: 1 mm;
- Vibrationszahl: 50 Hz; und
- Teststücke: Eine Scheibe in Kombination mit einer Kugel, beide hergestellt aus SUJ-2 (JIS G 4805).
- Die Tiefe des resultierenden Abriebeffektes wurde durch Messen der Defekttiefe der Scheibe nach dem Versuch unter Verwendung eines Oberflächenrauhigkeitsmeters gemessen (Warenname: Surfcom 200B, hergestellt von Tokyo Seimitsu K.K:).
- Eine 20 g Probe wird in ein 100 ml Becherglas gegeben, das Becherglas wird 6,5 h in einem Ofen bei 100ºC erhitzt. Die thermische Stabilität davon wird von einem Verhältnis (Menge der Probengewichtsabnahme) / (anfängliches Probengewicht) ausgewertet. Die Probe hat eine bessere thermische Stabilität, wenn sie ein kleineres Änderungs-(Abnahme)- Verhältnis zeigt.
- Eine 1 g Probe wird in einem Deckel mit einem Durchmesser von 5 cm eines Behälters für eine Salbe angeordnet und 48 Stunden bei 230ºC oder 6 Stunden bei 300ºC erhitzt. Wenn die Probe zurückbleibt, ist sie schwarz und verfestigt (in einem carbonisierten Zustand). Das Gewicht vor und nach dem Test wird gemessen und das verbleibende Verhältnis der Probe wird als ein Aufschlämmungsbildungsverhältnis definiert, von dem die Detergenz der Probe ausgewertet wird.
- Ein 100 ml Becherglas wird mit einer 30 g Probe versetzt und kann in einem klimatisierenden Bad 48 Stunden lang still stehen, wobei sie bei einer Temperatur von 25ºC und relativen Freuchtigkeit von 75% gehalten wird. Die Wasserkonzentration der Probe vor und nach dem Versuch wird durch das Karl Fischer Verfahren gemessen.
- Ein Kolben, umfassend eine 20 ml Probe, wird mit zwei Arten eines O-Ringes (P-22), d.h. ein Nitrilgummi-O-Ring (JIS B 2401 IB) und einem Fluorgummi-O-Ring (JIS B 2401 4D), ausgerüstet mit einem Kondensator, beladen und in ein Ölbad 70 Stunden lang bei 120ºC eingetaucht. Die zwei O-Ringe werden nach dem Versuch aus dem Kolben herausgenommen, von der Probe durch ausreichendes Abwischen befreit, und die Gewichtsänderung der O-Ringe wird gemessen.
- Eine Teströhre mit einem Innendurchmesser von 10 mm und einer Höhe von 20 cm wird mit einer 1 ml Probe beladen, und Freon R-134a (CH&sub2;FCF&sub3;) wird langsam in die Teströhre in einer etwas größeren Menge als die Probe von einem Bombenbehälter eingeführt, während die Teströhre in einem Trockeneis-Aceton- Bad gekühlt wird. Dann wird der Inhalt mit einem Spatel verrührt, und die Teströhre wird einem Kühlbad bei -20ºC übertragen. Die Löslichkeit der Probe wird beobachtet, wenn das Volumenverhältnis von Probe/(Freon R-134a (CH&sub2;FCF&sub3;)) 1/1 wird. Die gegenseitige Löslichkeit wird mit 0 (Zeichen) bezeichnet, wenn die Mischung vollständig gleichmäßig wird, und wird mit X (Zeichen) bezeichnet, wenn eine vollständige Auflösung der Mischung nicht beobachtet wird.
- Ein 5 l Dreihalsrundkolben mit einer 10 Platten Destillationssäule vom Oldershow-Typ und einem Thermometer wird mit 821 g (5 Mol) Triethylenglycolmonomethylether, 1351 g (15 Mol) Dimethylcarbonat und 9 g einer Methanollösung, umfassend 30 Gew.% einer NaOCH&sub3; (0,05 mol als NaOCH&sub3;) beladen. Die Mischung wurde durch Erhitzen in einem Ölbad unter Rühren unter einer Stickstoffatmosphäre zur Reaktion unter Rückfluß gehalten. Der resultierende Methanol wurde 5 Stunden nach der Initiierung der Reaktion abdestilliert und die Reaktion wurde fortgesetzt, bis die innere Temperatur des Rundkolbens 130ºC erreichte.
- Die Reaktion wurde fortgesetzt, während resultierendes Methanol und Dimethylcarbonat durch Verbinden des Rundkolbens mit einer Evakuieranlage abdestilliert wurden und indem der Evakuierungsgrad des Umgebungsdruckes schrittweise erhöht wurde. Die Reaktion wurde bei der Stufe beendet, wenn der Umgebungsdruck und die innere Temperatur des Rundkolbens 1999,5 Pa (15 mmHg) bzw. 135ºC erreichten.
- Die Reaktionslösung wurde durch Einführen von 2,9 g einer wässrigen Lösung in den Rundkolben neutralisiert, umfassend 85 Gew.% Phosphorsäure. Das resultierende ausgefällte Salz wurde abfiltriert. Das Filtrat wurde bei einer Wandtemperatur von 205 bis 220ºC des Rundkolbens und unter einem verminderten Druck von 226,61 Pa (1,7 mmHg) unter Verwendung einer Dünnfilmdestillationsanlage destilliert, und eine niedrigsiedende Komponente wurde abdestilliert. Die entfernte niedrigsiedende Komponente lag in einer Menge von 25 Gew.% vor, bezogen auf die gesamte Reaktionslösung.
- Eine hochsiedende Komponente der Reaktionslösung, die in dem Rundkolben verblieb, wurde bei einer Wandtemperatur von 260ºC unter einem verminderten Druck von 20 Pa (0,15 mmHg) abdestilliert. Die entfernte hochsiedende Komponente lag in einer Menge von 15 Gew.% vor, bezogen auf die gesamte verbleibende Reaktionslösung.
- Bis(2-(2-(2-methoxyethoxy)ethoxy)ethyl) carbonat in einer Menge von 567 g wurde durch Entfernen einer niedrigsiedenden Komponente und einer hochsiedenden Komponente von der Reaktionslösung wie oben beschrieben erhalten.
- Bis(2-(2-(2-methoxyethoxy)ethoxy)ethyl)carbonat wurde somit mit einer Reinheit von 98,5% und in einer Ausbeute von 64% erhalten.
- Die fundamentalen Eigenschaften als ein Schmieröl des somit erhaltenen Carbonates wurden ausgewertet und die Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle 1 gezeigt.
- Die gemäß Beispiel 1 durchgeführte Reaktion wurde wiederholt, mit der Ausnahme, daß 1,031 g Triethylglycolmonobutylether anstelle von Triethylenglycolmonomethylether verwendet wurden.
- Die Vorgehensweise von Beispiel 1 wurde bei einer Wandtemperatur von 220ºC und unter einem verminderten Druck von 199,95 Pa (1,5 mmHg) zur Entfernung einer niedrig siedenden Komponente von der Reaktionslösung wiederholt. Eine hochsiedende Komponente wurde ebenfalls durch Wiederholung der Vorgehensweise von Beispiel 1 bei einer Wandtemperatur von 260ºC und unter einem verminderten Druck von 26,66 Pa (0,2 mmHg) entfernt.
- Bis(2-(2-(2-butoxyethoxy)ethoxy)ethyl)carbonat wurde somit in einer Menge von 614 g erhalten.
- Bis(2-(2-(2-butoxyethoxy)ethoxy)ethyl)carbonat wurde somit mit einer Reinheit von 98,0% und mit einer Ausbeute von 56% erhalten.
- Die fundamentalen Eigenschaften als ein Schmeiröl des somit erhaltenen Carbonates wurden ausgewertet und die Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle 1 gezeigt.
- Ein Glycolether vom Propylenoxidtyp (Mn 1520, Mw/Mn 1,1) wurde gleichermaßen als Schmieröl ausgewertet.
- Die Auswertungsergebnisse der fundamentalen Eigenschaften davon als Schmieröl sind in Tabelle 1 gezeigt.
- Eine vergleichbare Auswertung wurde mit Mineralöl als Schmieröl (Warenname Suniso 331, hergestellt von Nihon Sun Sekiyu K.K.) für Kühlschränke, bei denen gleichzeitig Freon R-12 (CCl&sub2;F&sub2;) verwendet wurde, durchgeführt. Die Auswertungsergebnisse der fundamentalen Eigenschaften davon als Schmieröl sind in Tabelle 1 gezeigt.
- Das Schmieröl ist nicht mit Freon R-134a , das für die Ozonschicht nicht zerstörend ist, wechselseitig löslich. Claims (6)
1. Verwendung eines Glycolethercarbonates, dargestellt
durch die allgemeine Formel (I)
R&sub1;-O-(R&sub3;-O-)mCO-(O-R&sub4;-)nO-R&sub2; (I)
worin R&sub1; und R&sub2; jeweils unabhängig ausgewählt sind aus der
Gruppe, bestehend aus einer aliphatischen Gruppe, einer
alicyclischen Gruppe, einer aromatischen Gruppe und einer
aromatisch-substituierten aliphatischen Gruppe mit jeweils
nicht mehr als 20 Kohlenstoffatomen,
worin R&sub3; und R&sub4; jeweils unabhängig eine Ethylengruppe oder
Isopropylengruppe sind, und
worin m und n jeweils unabhängig eine ganze Zahl von 2 bis
100 sind, als ein Schmieröl für Kühlschränke.
2. Verwendung nach Anspruch 1,
worin R&sub1; und R&sub2; jeweils unabhängig eine Alkylgruppe sind und
worin R&sub3; und R&sub4; jeweils eine Ethylengruppe sind.
3. Verwendung nach Anspruch 1, worin das
Glycolethercarbonat Bis-(2-(2-(2-
butoxyethoxy)ethoxy)ethyl)carbonat oder Bis(2-(2-(2-
methoxyethoxy)-ethoxy)ethyl)carbonat ist.
4. Verwendung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3,
worin ein die Ozonschicht nicht zerstörender
Fluorkohlenwasserstoff weiterhin in dem Schmieröl enthalten
ist.
5. Verwendung nach Anspruch 4, worin der die Ozonschicht
nicht zerstörende Fluorkohlenwasserstoff CH&sub2;FCF&sub3; ist.
6. Verwendung nach Anspruch 4 oder 5,
worin das Schmieröl Glycolether und Carbonsäureester als
andere Additive in einer Menge von weniger als 60 Gew.% der
gesamten Schmierölzusammensetzung umfaßt.
