Description
- Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft Schmierölzusammensetzungen. Spezieller betrifft die Erfindung Schmierölzusammensetzungen mit ausgezeichneten Schmiereigenschaften, einer ausgezeichneten Waschwirkung und ausgezeichneten elektrischen Isoliereigenschaften, die als industrielle Getrieberadöle, Automobilmotoröle, Automobilgetriebeöle, Schmieröle für Kühlvorrichtungen, Schmieröle für Walzwerke und Schmieröle für die Textilindustrie verwendet werden können. Bei diesen Ölen sind gute Schmiereigenschaften und eine gute Waschwirkung heute wichtiger als je erforderlich. Spezieller betrifft die Erfindung Schmierölzusammensetzungen, die als Schmieröle für Kühlvorrichtungen höchst geeignet sind, in denen hydrierte Fluorkohlenstoffe (HFC), hydrierte Chlorfluorkohlenstoffe (HCFC) oder eine Mischung derselben als Kühlmittel verwendet werden.
- Schmieröle schließen beispielsweise industrielle Getrieberadöle, Motoröle, Schmieröle für Kühlvorrichtungen, Schmieröle für die Textilindustrie und Schmieröle für Walzwerke ein.
- In letzter Zeit war es erwünscht, die Schmiereigenschaften und die Waschwirkung von industriellen Getrieberadölen in Bereichen höherer Temperatur beizubehalten, da die Umgebungsbedingungen, unter denen verschiedene Industriemaschinen verwendet werden, strenger geworden sind. Besonders bei einem Wärmebehandlungsverfahren von Anstrichen oder bei einem Wärmebehandlungsverfahren von Nahrungsmitteln ist es erwünscht, bessere Schmiereigenschaften und eine bessere Waschwirkung vorliegen zu haben. In diesen Bereichen sind traditionell Schmieröle vom synthetischen Kohlenwasserstoff-Typ, carbonsäureester-Typ oder Glycol-Typ verwendet worden.
- Die synthetischen Öle vom Kohlenwasserstoff-Typ und die Öle vom Carbonsäureester-Typ weisen jedoch die Probleme auf, daß sie unzureichende Schmiereigenschaften haben und bei hohen Temperaturen nicht als Schmieröle funktionieren können, da sie karbonisiert werden, wenn sie über eine lange Zeitspanne erwärmt werden. Andererseits weisen die Schmieröle vom Glycol-Typ den Vorteil auf, daß sie kaum karbonisiert werden, selbst wenn sie über eine lange Zeitspanne erwärmt werden, aber sie weisen unzureichende Schmiereigenschaften auf und besitzen hohe Feuchtigkeitsabsorptions-Eigenschaften (Hygroskopie), so daß es erwünscht ist, die Schmiereigenschaften und die Beständigkeit dieser Öle gegenüber Feuchtigkeitsabsorption zu verbessern.
- Von den Motorölen wird gefordert, daß sie gemäß der Vergrößerung der Leistung der Automobilmotoren über eine lange Zeitspanne bei höheren Temperaturen Schmiereigenschaften und Detergens-Dispergiereigenschaften aufweisen. Additive, die verwendet werden, um diesen Erfordernissen Genüge zu leisten, werden notwendigerweise in großer Menge verwendet, und demgemäß tritt ein Ausfallen eines käsigen (mayonnaiseartigen) Schlamms auf. Weiter wurde überlicherweise die Coverwendung des Öls vom synthetischen Kohlenwasserstoff-Typ oder des Öls vom Carbonsäureester-Typ und eines Mineralöls als Grundöl versucht. Jedoch weist das so erhaltene Motoröl unzureichende Schmiereigenschaften und Detergens-Dispergiereigenschaften über eine lange Zeitspanne bei hohen Temperaturen auf.
- In einer Verwendungsweise, die von derjenigen der oben erwähnten Schmieröle für Automobilmotoren, d.h. für Vierzylinder- Motoren, verschieden ist, werden die Schmieröle für Zweizylinder- Motoren dem Benzin zugesetzt und einer Verbrennung in den zweizylindrigen Motoren unterzogen, so daß die Waschwirkung bei den Schmierölen für zweizylindrige Motoren besonders wichtig ist. Als Schmieröle für Zweizylinder-Motoren sind bisher beispielsweise ein Castoröl oder Polybuten verwendet worden, aber diese weisen keine ausreichenden Schmiereigenschaften und keine ausreichende Waschwirkung auf.
- Bei Automobilgetriebeölen, insbesondere Getriebeölen für ATF, ist es notwendig, den Reibungskoeffizienten zu verringern und darüberhinaus die Änderung des Reibungskoeffizienten im Lauf der Zeit zu verringern. Demgemäß wurde üblicherweise ein Anti- Reibungsmittel oder ein das die Reibung einstellendes Mittel zugesetzt, um den Reibungskoeffizienten zu verringern. Jedoch weisen Automobilgetriebeöle, die diese Additive enthalten, das Problem auf, daß während der Verwendung der Reibungskoeffizient größer wird.
- Als Schmieröle für die Textilindustrie sind bisher diejenigen vom carbonsäureester-Typ oder Glycol-Typ verwendet worden, aber sie weisen keine zufriedenstellenden Schmiereigenschaften und keine zufriedenstellende Waschwirkung auf.
- Als Schmieröle für Walzwerke sind üblicherweise diejenigen verwendet worden, die Rindertalg als Wirtskomponente enthalten. Derartige Schmieröle weisen gute Schmiereigenschaften und eine ausgezeichnete Walzeffizienz auf. Jedoch ist die Waschwirkung dieser Öle bemerkenswert schlecht, so daß ein Schritt des Abwaschens des rückständigen Rindertalgs wesentlich ist. Ebenfalls als Schmieröle für Walzwerke werden diejenigen vom Carbonsäureester-Typ verwendet, aber diese Öle weisen schlechte Schmiereigenschaften auf, was eine schlechte Verwendbarkeit zur Folge hat, obwohl sie eine ausgezeichnete Waschwirkung besitzen.
- Mit der Abänderung des Kühlgases für Kühlvorrichtungen auf R-134a (CH&sub2;F-CF&sub3;), das nicht zerstörend auf die Ozonschicht wirkt, sind Mineralöle oder Alkylbenzol-Verbindungen, die bisher als Schmieröle für Kühlvorrichtungen verwendet worden sind, unverwendbar geworden, da sie mit dem Kühlgas nicht kompatibel sind. Demgemäß sind nun Schmieröle vom Glycolether-Typ als Schmieröle für Kühlvorrichtungen entwickelt worden, welche das obenerwähnte Kühlgas verwenden.
- Beispielsweise offenbart die US-A-4,755,316 eine Zusammensetzung für eine Kompressionskühlvorrichtung, die ein Tetrafluorethan und ein Polyoxyalkylenglycol mit einem Molekulargewicht von 300 bis 2000 und einer kinematischen Viskosität bei 37ºC von ungefähr 25 bis 150 cSt umfaßt.
- Jedoch bestehen Mängel darin, daß dieses Schmieröl vom Glycolether-Typ allgemein eine unzureichende Wärmestabilität aufweist und eine hohe Hygroskopie besitzt. Darüberhinaus läßt es Gummiabdichtmaterialien, wie NBR, schrumpfen, welche in ihrer Härte zunehmen.
- Bei Kühlvorrichtungen für Automobilklimaanlagen ist in den letzten Jahren ein Umlaufkolbenverdichter mit einem Durchgangsschieber benutzt worden, der die Größe des Verdichters verringern und die Leistung vergrößern kann. Als Schmieröle für den Umlaufkolbenverdichter mit einem Durchgangsschieber sind diejenigen mit einer hohen Viskosität mehr erwünscht als diejenigen mit Abdichtungseigenschaften und Reibungsbeständigkeit. Wenn jedoch Verbindungen mit einer Glycolether-Struktur ein höheres Molekulargewicht aufweisen, um eine hohe Viskosität zu besitzen, wird die Kompatibilität derselben mit dem für die Ozonschicht nicht zerstörerischen R-134a im allgemeinen veschlechtert, so daß diese Verbindungen unter dem strukturellen Gesichtspunkt nicht verwendet werden können.
- Weiter sind in letzter Zeit Schmieröle vom Carbonsäureester-Typ, als "Polyolester" und "gehinderte Ester" bezeichnet, als Schmieröle für Kühlvorrichtungen entwickelt worden, bei denen die Ozonschicht nicht zerstörender hydrierter Fluorkohlenstoff (HFC) als Kühlmittel verwendet wird. Jedoch werden diese Schmieröle hydrolisiert oder durch Wärme zersetzt, wodurch eine Carbonsäure erzeugt wird, die eine Korrosion und einen Abrieb von Metallen oder einen Kupferüberzug in der Kühlvorrichtung verursacht. Deshalb wird die Haltbarkeit der Kühlvorrichtung im Fall der Verwendung der obigen Schmieröle ein Problem. Darüberhinaus wird weiter ein Teil der durch Hydrolyse oder Wärmezersetzung erzeugten Carbonsäure unter strengen Verwendungsbedingungen zersetzt, so daß Kohlendioxid-Gas erzeugt wird. Dieses Kohlendioxid-Gas weist in einem gewöhnlichen Kühlsystem, bei dem ein Fluorkohlenstoff, Chlorfluorkohlenstoff oder Hydrierungs-Produkt derselben als Kühlmittel verwendet wird, Nicht-Kondensationseigenschaften auf. Daher werden eine Abnahme der Kühleffizienz und ein Temperaturanstieg im Kompressionsschritt verursacht.
- Der die Ozonschicht nicht zerstörende hydrierte Fluorkohlenstoff (HFC) schließt neben dem erwähnten R-134a auch R-152a ein. Ebenso als Kühlmittel verwendbar ist ein hydrierter Chlorfluorkohlenstoff (HCFC), der eine geringe zerstörerische Wirkung für Ozon aufweist. Dieser hydrierte Chlorfluorkohlenstoff schließt beispielsweise R-22, R-123 und R-124 ein. Diese hydrierten Chlorfluorkohlenstoffe werden einzeln oder in Kombination mit den hydrierten Fluorkohlenstoffen (HFC) verwendet.
- Die gegenwärtigen Erfinder haben nach Schmierölen gesucht, die ausgezeichnete Schmiereigenschaften, eine ausgezeichnete Waschwirkung, ausgezeichnete elektrische Isoliereigenschaften und eine ausgezeichnete Kompatibilität sowohl mit den hydrierten Fluorkohlenstoffen (HFC) als auch den hydrierten Chlorfluorkohlenstoffen (HCFC) aufweisen und die weiter die Erzeugung von Carbonsäure und Kohlendioxid-Gas verhüten können.
- Spezieller will die vorliegende Erfindung Schmierölzusammensetzungen bereitstellen, die günstig als Schmieröle für Kühlvorrichtungen verwendet werden können, bei denen die Ozonschicht nicht zerstörende hydrierte Fluorkohlenstoffe (HFC) als Kühlmittel verwendet werden, wie beispielsweise bei Automobilklimaanlagen.
- Die vorliegende Erfindung stellt eine Schmierölzusammensetzung bereit, die umfaßt:
- (1) 100 Gewichtsteile eines Polycarbonats der allgemeinen Formel [I]:
- R&sub1;OCOO[(R&sub2;O)pCOO]nR&sub3; [I]
- in der R&sub1; und R&sub3; jeweils unabhängig eine Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe mit nicht mehr als 30 Kohlenstoffatomen oder eine Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe sind, die eine Etherbindung enthält und 2 bis 30 Kohlenstoffatome aufweist, R&sub2; eine Alkylengruppe mit 2 bis 24 Kohlenstoffatomen ist, p eine ganze Zahl von 1 bis 100 ist und n eine ganze Zahl von 1 bis 10 ist,
- (2) 0,0001 bis 5 Gewichtsteile einer Phenolverbindung (b) und
- (3) 0,0001 bis 5 Gewichtsteile einer Schwefelverbindung (c) oder 0,01 bis 5 Gewichtsteile einer Triester- Phosphitverbindung (e).
- Die Zusammensetzung kann auch mindestens eine aus einer Epoxyverbindung (a) und einer Aminverbindung (d) in einer Menge von 0,0001 bis 5 Gewichtsteilen und eine Triester-Phosphatverbindung (f) in einer Menge von 0 bis 5 Gewichtsteilen umfassen.
- Die Schmierölzusammensetzung der Erfindung (manchmal einfach als "Schmierölzusammensetzung" bezeichnet) weist ausgezeichnete Schmiereigenschaften, eine ausgezeichnete Waschwirkung und ausgezeichnete elektrische Isoliereigenschaften auf und kann bezüglich der Viskosität bei niedrigen Temperaturen leichter als Mineralöle und Schmieröle vom Ester-Typ verringert werden. Deshalb können die Schmierölzusammensetzungen gemäß der Erfindung beispielsweise in breitem Umfang als industrielle Getrieberadöle, Automobilmotoröle, Automobilgetriebeöle, Schmieröle für Kühlvorrichtungen, wie für eine Automobilklimaanlage oder einen elektrischen Kühlschrank, Schmieröle für die Textilindustrie und Schmieröle für Walzwerke verwendet werden.
- Die Schmierölzusammensetzungen gemäß der Erfindung weisen auch eine ausgezeichnete Kompatibilität mit hydrierten Fluorkohlenstoffen (HFC), die die Ozonschicht nicht zerstörende Eigenschaften aufweisen, und mit hydrierten Chlorfluorkohlenstoffen (HCFC) auf, die eine geringe zerstörerische Wirkung auf Ozon besitzen. Deshalb können die Schmierölzusammensetzungen gemäß der Erfindung als Schmieröle für Kühlvorrichtungen verwendet werden, bei denen diese hydrierten Produkte einzeln oder in Kombination als Kühlmittel verwendet werden.
- Die Schmierölzusammensetzungen gemäß der Erfindung können die genannten hydrierten Fluorkohlenstoffe (HFC) und hydrierten Chlorfluorkohlenstoffe (HCFC) und weiter Mischungen derselben enthalten, und die Schmierölzusammensetzungen, die diese enthalten, können auch als Schmieröle für Kühlvorrichtungen, wie eine Automobilklimaanlage und einen elektrischen Kühlschrank, verwendet werden.
- Das als Grundschmieröl verwendete Polycarbonat in der Schmierölzusammensetzung der Erfindung wird durch die Formel [I] dargestellt:
- R&sub1;OCOO[(R&sub2;O)pCOO]nR&sub3; [I]
- In der Formel [I] sind R&sub1; und R&sub3; jeweils unabhängig eine Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe mit nicht mehr als 30 Kohlenstoffatomen oder eine Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe, die eine Etherbindung enthält und 2 bis 30 Kohlenstoffatome aufweist.
- Beispiele für R&sub1; und R&sub3; umfassen: aliphatische Kohlenwasserstoffgruppen, wie eine Methylgruppe, Ethylgrupe, N-Propylgruppe, Isopropylgruppe, n- Butylgruppe, Isobutylgruppe, s-Butylgruppe, t-Butylgruppe, Pentylgruppe, Isopentylgruppe, Neopentylgruppe, n-Hexylgruppe, 1,3-Dimethylbutylgruppe, 2,3-Dimethylbutylgruppe, Isohexylgruppe, n-Heptylgruppe, Isoheptylgruppe, 3-Methylhexylgruppe, Octylgruppe, 2-Ethylhexylgruppe, Isooctylgruppe, n-Nonylgruppe, Isononylgruppe, n-Decylgruppe, Isodecylgruppe, n-Undecylgruppe, Isoundecylgruppe, n-Dodecylgruppe, Isododecylgruppe, n- Tridecylgruppe, Isotridecylgruppe, n-Tetradecylgruppe, Isotetradecylgruppe, n-Pentadecylgruppe, Isopentadecylgruppe, n- Hexadecylgruppe, Isohexadecylgruppe, n-Heptadecylgruppe, Isoheptadecylgruppe, n-Octadecylgruppe, Isooctadecylgruppe, n- Nonadecylgruppe, Isononadecylgruppe, n-Eicosylgruppe, Isoeicosylgruppe, 2-Ethylhexylgruppe und 2-(4-Methylpentyl)gruppe;
- alicyclische Kohlenwasserstoffgruppen, wie eine Cyclohexylgruppe, 1-Cyclohexenylgruppe, Methylcyclohexylgruppe, Dimethylcyclohexylgruppe, Decahydronaphthylgruppe und Tricyclodecanylgruppe;
- aromatische Kohlenwasserstoffgruppen, wie eine Phenylgruppe, o-Toluylgruppe, p-Toluylgruppe, m-Toluylgruppe, 2,4- xylylgruppe, Mesitylgruppe und 1-Naphthylgruppe;
- aromatische aliphatische Kohlenwasserstoffgruppen, wie eine Benzylgruppe, Methylbenzylgruppe, β-Phenylethylgruppe (Phenethylgruppe), 1-Phenylethylgruppe, 1-Methyl-1-Phenylethylgruppe, p-Methylbenzylgruppe, Styrylgruppe und Cinnamylgruppe; und
- Glycolethergruppen, die durch die allgemeine Formel -(R&sub6;-O)q-R&sub7; dargestellt werden, wie eine Ethylenglycolmonomethylethergruppe, Ethylenglycolmonobutylethergruppe, Diethylenglycolmono-n-butylethergruppe, Triethylenglycolmonoethylethergruppe, Propylenglycolmonomethylethergruppe, Propylenglycolmonobutylethergruppe, Dipropylenglycolmonoethylethergruppe und Tripropylenglycolmono-n-butylethergruppe.
- In der obigen Formel (R6&sub6;O)q-R&sub7; ist R&sub6; eine Alkylengruppe mit 2-3 Kohlenstoffatomen. Konkrete Beispiele für derartige Alkylengruppen schließen die Ethylengruppe, Propylengruppe und Trimethylengruppe ein. R&sub7; ist eine aliphatische, alicyclische oder aromatische Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe mit 28 oder weniger Kohlenstoffatomen. Konkrete Beispiele für derartige Kohlenwasserstoffgruppen schließen die gleichen Gruppen ein, wie sie oben für R&sub1; und R&sub3; in der Formel [I] beispielhaft aufgeführt wurden. g ist eine ganze Zahl von 1 bis 20.
- In der obigen Formel [I] ist R&sub2; eine Alkylengruppe mit 2-24 Kohlenstoffatomen. Konkrete Beispiele für derartige Alkylengruppen schließen die Ethylengruppe, Propylengruppe, Butylengruppe, Amylengruppe, Methylamylengruppe, Ethylamylengruppe, Hexylengruppe, Methylhexylengruppe, Ethylhexylengruppe, Octamethylengruppe, Nonamethylengruppe, Decamethylengruppe, Dodecamethylengruppe und Tetradecamethylengruppe ein.
- In der Formel [I] ist p eine ganze Zahl von 1 bis 100 und n eine ganze Zahl von 1 bis 10.
- Wenn ein Polycarbonat, das durch die obige Formel [I] dargestellt wird, für eine Schmierölzusammensetzung in einer Kühlvorrichtung verwendet wird, in der ein die Ozonschicht nicht zerstörender hydrierter Fluorkohlenstoff wie R-134a als Kühlmittel verwendet wird, ist R&sub1; in der Formel [I] vorzugsweise eine Alkylgruppe wie eine n-Butylgruppe, Isobutylgruppe, Isoamylgruppe, Cyclohexylgruppe, Isoheptylgruppe, 3-Methylhexylgruppe, 1,3-Dimethylbutylgruppe, Hexylgruppe, Octylgruppe und 2- Ethylhexylgruppe; oder eine Alkylenglycolmonoalkylethergruppe wie eine Ethylenglycolmonomethylethergruppe, Ethylenglycolmonobutylethergruppe, Diethylenglycolmonomethylethergruppe, Triethylenglycolmonomethylethergruppe, Propylenglycolmonomethylethergruppe, Propylenglycolmonobutylethergruppe, Dipropylenglycolmonoethylethergruppe und Tripropylenglycolmono-n-butylethergruppe.
- Beispiele für das Polycarbonat, das durch die Formel [I] dargestellt wird, werden nachstehend gegeben.
- (1) R&sub1;OCOO-CH&sub2;CH&sub2;CH(CH&sub3;)CH&sub2;CH&sub2;-OCOOR&sub3;
- (2) R&sub1;OCOO-CH&sub2;CH(CH&sub3;)(CH&sub2;)&sub6;-OCOOR&sub3;
- (3) R&sub1;OCOO-(CH&sub2;)&sub5;-OCOOR&sub3;
- (4) R&sub1;OCOO-(CH&sub2;)&sub6;-OCOOR&sub3;
- (5) R&sub1;OCOO-(CH&sub2;)&sub9;-OCOOR&sub3;
- (6) R&sub1;OCOO-(CH&sub2;)&sub1;&sub0;-OCOOR&sub3;
- In den Formeln (1) bis (6) sind R&sub1; und R&sub3; die gleichen Gruppen wie diejenigen für R&sub1; und R&sub3; in der Formel [I].
- Die Polycarbonate, die durch die Formel [I] dargestellt werden, können beispielsweise durch die folgenden ersten und zweiten Verfahren hergestellt werden:
- (1) Das erste Verfahren umfaßt die Schritte des Erwärmens eines Diols und einer Carbonatverbindung in Anwesenheit eines basischen Katalysators, so daß sie miteinander umgesetzt werden, bis eine Umwandlung von nicht weniger als 95% erhalten wird, während man den erzeugten Alkohol aus dem Reaktionssystem abdestilliert, des anschließenden Entfernens des basischen Katalysators und des Abdestillierens der unumgesetzten Carbonatverbindung aus dem Reaktionssystem, um ein Polycarbonat herzustellen.
- (2) Das zweite Verfahren umfaßt die Schritte des Erwärmens eines Diols, eines Monoalkohols und einer Carbonatverbindung in Anwesenheit eines basischen Katalysators, so daß sie miteinander umgesetzt werden, bis eine Umwandlung von nicht weniger als 95% erreicht wird, während man den erzeugten Alkohol aus dem Reaktionssystem abdestilliert, des anschließenden Entfernens des basischen Katalysators und des Abdestillierens sowohl der unumgesetzten Carbonatverbindung als auch einer Carbonatverbindung, die nicht an der Endstufenreaktion teil-. genommen hat, aus dem Reaktionssystem, um ein Polycarbonat herzustellen.
- Das erste Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Polycarbonats wird nun in Einzelheit beschrieben.
- Zuerst werden (a) ein Diol, das durch die später beschriebene Formel [IV] dargestellt wird, und (b) eine Carbonatverbindung, die durch die folgende Formel [VII] dargestellt wird, in Anwesenheit eines basischen Katalysators erwärmt, um sie miteinander umzusetzen, bis eine Umwandlung von nicht weniger als 95% erreicht ist, während man den erzeugten Alkohol (R&sub1;OH oder R&sub3;OH) aus dem Reaktionssystem abdestilliert.
- R&sub1;OCOOR&sub1; oder R&sub3;OCOOR&sub3; [VII]
- worin R&sub1; und R&sub3; die gleichen Bedeutungen wie diejenigen für R&sub1; und R&sub3; in der Formel [I] aufweisen.
- Im Fall der Verwendung dieser Carbonatverbindung ist der Siedepunkt von R&sub1;OH oder R&sub3;OH niedriger als derjenige des oben erwähnten Diols, und das Verhältnis m&sub1;:2m&sub2; (m&sub1;: Molzahl der Carbonatverbindung, m&sub2;:Molzahl des Diols) beträgt 0,5:1 bis 200:1.
- Zur Durchführung der obigen Reaktion wird der Reaktor wünschenswerterweise mit Stickstoff gespült, aber der Reaktor kann auch nicht mit Stickstoff gespült werden.
- Im nächsten Schritt wird der obenerwähnte basische Katalysator entfernt, und dann wird die unumgesetzte Carbonatverbindung aus dem Reaktionssystem abdestilliert, wodurch man ein Polycarbonat der Formel [I] erhält.
- Das oben erwähnte Diol wird durch die folgende Formel [IV] dargestellt:
- R&sub2;(OH)&sub2; [IV]
- worin R&sub2; gleich ist wie R&sub2; in der Formel [I].
- Bevorzugte Beispiele für Carbonatverbindungen der Formel [VII] sind Dimethylcarbonat, Diethylcarbonat, Dipropylcarbonat, Dibutylcarbonat, Di-[1,3-dimethylbutyl]carbonat, Diisoamylcarbonat, Dihexylcarbonat, Dioctylcarbonat, Dicyclohexylcarbonat, Di-3-methylhexylcarbonat, Di-2-ethylhexylcarbonat und Di-(2- methylmethoxyethyl)carbonat.
- In diesem Verfahren schreitet die Überführungsreaktion in ein Carbonat fort, während der in der Überführungsreaktion in ein Carbonat erzeugte Alkohol aus dem Reaktionssystem abdestilliert wird. Daher ist es erforderlich, daß der Siedepunkt des so erzeugten Alkohols, d.h. des Alkohols, der durch R&sub1;OH oder R&sub3;OH dargestellt wird, niedriger ist als der Siedepunkt des obenerwähnten Diols.
- Weiter wird die Carbonatverbindung der Formel [VII] in einer solchen Menge verwendet, daß das obenerwähnte Verhältnis m&sub1;:2m&sub2; 0,5:1 bis 200:1, vorzugsweise 1:1 bis 80:1 beträgt.
- Durch Verwendung der speziellen Menge der Carbonatverbindung wie oben kann die Herstellung eines Polycarbonats mit einem hohen Polymerisationsgrad in Schranken gehalten werden.
- In diesem Verfahren werden das oben beschriebene Diol und die oben beschriebene Carbonatverbindung in einen Reaktor gegeben, dann werden sie in Anwesenheit eines basischen Katalysators erwärmt, um sie miteinander umzusetzen, bis eine Umwandlung von nicht weniger als 95% erreicht wird, während man den erzeugten Alkohol aus dem Reaktionssystem abdestilliert. Anschließend wird der basische Katalysator entfernt, und dann wird die unumgesetzte Carbonatverbindung aus dem Reaktionssystem abdestilliert. Der Ausdruck "Umwandlung von nicht weniger als 95% erreicht wird" bedeutet, daß die Reaktion fortgesetzt wird, bis der Alkohol (R&sub1;OH oder R&sub3;OH) in einer Menge von nicht weniger als dem 0,95-fachen der Mol des oben erwähnten 2m&sub2; erzeugt wird.
- Beispiele für die vorzugsweise verwendeten basischen Katalysatoren umfassen Alkalimetallhydroxide, wie Natriumhydroxid und Kaliumhydroxid; Alkalimetallcarbonate oder Hydrogencarbonate, wie Natriumcarbonat und Natriumbicarbonat; Alkalimetallalkoholate, wie Natriummethanolat, Kaliummethanolat, Lithiummethanolat und Casiummethanolat; und Alkalimetallverbindungen, wie Natriumhydrid und Natriumamid. Unter diesen werden Alkalimetallalkoholate besonders bevorzugt. Ebenfalls verwendbar sind beispielsweise Erdalkalimetallverbindungen, wie Magnesiumhydroxid und Calciumhydroxid; und Organoaminoverbindungen, wie Trimethylamin, Triethylamin, Imidazol und Tetramethylammoniumhydroxid. Der Katalysator wird in einer solchen Menge verwendet, daß ein Verhältnis der Molzahl des Katalysators zu dem obenerwähnten 2m&sub2; oder ein Verhältnis der Molzahl des Katalysators zu der Molzahl des Polyols (Molverhältnis) gewöhnlich 10&supmin;¹:1 bis 10&supmin;&sup7;:1, vorzugsweise 10&supmin;²:1 bis 10&supmin;&sup5;:1 beträgt.
- In diesem Verfahren beträgt die Temperatur für die Reaktion gewöhnlich 50 bis 300ºC, vorzugsweise 60 bis 200ºC, und die Reaktionszeit beträgt gewöhnlich 0,5 bis 200 Stunden, vorzugsweise 1 bis 100 Stunden.
- Nach Beendigung der Reaktion wird der Katalysator durch Waschen der Reaktionslösung mit Wasser oder Neutralisieren derselben mit einer Säure entfernt. Beispiele für die verwendeten Säuren schließen feste Säuren, wie ein Ionenaustauscherharz vom Sulfonsäure-Typ; anorganische Säuren, wie Kohlensäure, Ammoniumchlorid, Chlorwasserstoffsäure, Schwefelsäure und Phosphorsäure; und organische Säuren wie Essigsäure und Phenol, ein. Bei dem Waschverfahren kann ein Salz wie Ammoniumcarbonat zugesetzt werden.
- Der basische Katalysator wird wie oben erwähnt entfernt, und dann wird die unumgesetzte Carbonatverbindung unter reduziertem Druck aus dem Reaktionssystem abdestilliert. Die Polymerisation eines erzeugten Polycarbonats kann verhindert werden, wenn die unumgesetzte Carbonatverbindung in Anwesenheit eines basischen Katalysators aus dem Reaktionssystem abdestilliert wird, und daher kann das gewünschte Polycarbonat in hoher Ausbeute erhalten werden.
- Das wie oben erhaltene Polycarbonat kann mit einem Adsorbens, wie aktivem Ton und Aktivkohle, behandelt werden oder mit Wasser gewaschen werden, um die in Spurenmengen vorhandenen Verunreinigungen zu entfernen. Durch eine derartige Behandlung kann eine ionische Verbindung oder eine polare Verbindung, die in Spurenmengen vorhanden ist, entfernt werden, so daß das resultierende Polycarbonat stabil aufbewahrt werden kann.
- Gemäß dem oben beschriebenen Verfahren kann in dem Fall, in dem Dimethylcarbonat als die Carbonatverbindung in der oben erwähnten Reaktion verwendet wird, Methanol aus dem Reaktionssystem in Form eines Azeotrops mit einem azeotropen Lösungsmittel, wie Cyclohexan, Benzol oder Hexan abdestilliert werden, nachdem das azeotrope Lösungsmittel zuvor dem Reaktionssystem zugesetzt worden ist, anstelle des Abdestillierens des Methanols aus dem Reaktionssystem als Azeotrop mit Dimethylcarbonat. In diesem Fall wird das azeotrope Lösungsmittel gewöhnlich in einer Menge von 5 bis 100 Gewichtsteilen pro 100 Gewichtsteile Dimethylcarbonat verwendet.
- Weiter wird gemäß dem obigen Verfahren Methanol aus dem Reaktionssystem als Azeotrop mit dem obenerwähnten azeotropen Lösungsmittel abdestilliert, und nach Beendigung der Reaktion wird das unumgesetzte Dimethylcarbonat aus der Reaktionsmischung zurückgewonnen, so daß die Zurückgewinnung des unumgesetzten Dimethylcarbonats gesteigert werden kann.
- Andernfalls ist es möglich, daß Methanol als Azeotrop mit Dimethylcarbonat, wie oben beschrieben, gewonnen werden kann, dann wird dem resultierenden Azeotrop das obenerwähnte azeotrope Lösungsmittel zugesetzt, und Methanol wird als Azeotrop mit dem azeotropen Lösungsmittel aus Dimethylcarbonat abdestilliert, um das Dimethylcarbonat zurückzugewinnen.
- Darüberhinaus wird gemäß dem oben aufgeführten Verfahren, nachdem die Umsetzung des Diols und einer Carbonatverbindung beendet ist, ein basischer Katalysator entfernt, und anschließend wird die unumgesetzte Carbonatverbindung entfernt, so daß das gewünschte Polycarbonat in hoher Ausbeute erhalten werden kann.
- Als nächstes wird das zweite Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Polycarbonats in Einzelheit beschrieben.
- Zuerst werden (a) ein Diol, das durch die obige Formel [IV] dargestellt wird, (b) ein Monoalkohol, der durch die folgende Formel [IX] dargestellt wird, und (c) eine Carbonatverbindung, die durch die folgende Formel [XI] dargestellt wird, in Anwesenheit eines basischen Katalysators erwärmt, um sie miteinander umzusetzen bis eine Umwandlung von nicht weniger als 95% erreicht ist, während man den erzeugten Alkohol (R&sub1;&sub2;OH oder R&sub1;&sub3;OH) aus dem Reaktionssystem abdestilliert. Für die Durchführung der Reaktion wird der Reaktor wünschenswerterweise mit Stickstoff gespült, aber der Reaktor kann auch nicht mit Stickstoff gespült werden.
- R&sub1;OH oder R&sub3;OH [IX]
- worin R&sub1; und R&sub3; die gleichen Bedeutungen wie diejenigen für R&sub1; und R&sub3; in der obenerwähnten Formel [I] aufweisen.
- R&sub1;&sub2;OCOOR&sub1;&sub2; [XI]
- worin jedes R&sub1;&sub2; unabhängig eine Alkylgruppe mit 1 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen ist.
- Im Fall der Verwendung dieser Carbonatverbindung ist der Siedepunkt von R&sub1;&sub2;OH niedriger als derjenige des obenerwähnten Diols und Monoalkohols, und das Verhältnis m&sub1;:2m&sub2; (m&sub1;:Molzahl der Carbonatverbindung, m&sub2;:Molzahl des Diols) beträgt 0,5:1 bis 200:1.
- Als nächstes wird der obenerwähnte basische Katalysator entfernt, und die unumgesetzte Carbonatverbindung und eine Carbonatverbindung, die nicht im Endreaktionsstadium teilgenommen hat [R&sub1;&sub4;OCOOR&sub1;&sub4; (worin jedes R&sub1;&sub4; unabhängig das obenerwähnte R&sub1;, R&sub2; oder R&sub1;&sub2; ist], werden aus dem Reaktionssystem abdestilliert, wodurch man ein Polycarbonat erhält, das durch die obenerwähnte Formel [I] dargestellt wird.
- In diesem Verfahren wird die Überführungsreaktion in das Carbonat fortgesetzt, während man den in der Überführungsreaktion in das Carbonat erzeugten Alkohol aus dem Reaktionssystem abdestilliert, und daher ist es erforderlich, daß der Siedepunkt des so erzeugten Alkohols, d.h. des Alkohols, der durch R&sub1;&sub2;OH dargestellt wird, niedriger ist als der Siedepunkt des obenerwähnten Diols und Monoalkohols. Die Carbonatverbindung, die durch die Formel [XI] dargestellt wird, wird in einer solchen Menge verwendet, daß das obenerwähnte Verhältnis m&sub1;:2m&sub2; von 0,5:1 bis 200:1, vorzugsweise 1:1 bis 80:1, bevorzugter 1:1 bis 50:1 beträgt. Durch Verwendung der speziellen Menge der Carbonatverbindung wie oben kann die Erzeugung eines Polycarbonats mit einem hohen Polymerisationsgrad in Schranken gehalten werden.
- In diesem Verfahren werden das oben beschriebene Diol, der oben beschriebene Monoalkohol und die oben beschriebene Carbonatverbindung in einen Reaktor gegeben, dann werden sie in Anwesenheit eines basischen Katalysators erwärmt, um sie miteinander umzusetzen, bis eine Umwandlung von nicht weniger als 95% erreicht ist, während man den erzeugten Alkohol aus dem Reaktionssystem abdestilliert. Anschließend entfernt man den basischen Katalysator, und dann wird die unumgesetzte Carbonatverbindung aus dem Reaktionssystem abdestilliert.
- Die Bedeutung des obigen Ausdrucks "Umwandlung von nicht weniger als 95% erreicht ist" ist die gleiche wie vorstehend beschrieben. Weiter sind der basische Katalysator, die Reaktionstemperatur, die Reaktionszeitspanne, die Entfernung des Katalysators nach Beendigung der Reaktion, die Entfernung der Verunreinigungen und die Zurückgewinnung des unumgesetzten Dimethylcarbonats in diesem zweiten Verfahren die gleichen wie diejenigen in dem vorstehend beschriebenen ersten Verfahren.
- In dem ersten Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Polycarbonats sind Polycarbonatverbindungen außer Dimethylcarbonat und Diethylcarbonat, die durch die Formeln [VII] und [VIII] dargestellt werden, kaum verfügbar, so daß sie synthetisiert werden müssen. Jedoch können die Polycarbonate im zweiten Verfahren unter Verwendung der leicht verfügbaren Carbonatverbindungen, die durch die Formel [XI] dargestellt werden (Dimethylcarbonat, Diethylcarbonat, Ethylmethylcarbonat), hergestellt werden. Demgemäß erfordert das zweite Verfahren keine Synthese der Carbonatverbindungen, und dies ist ein wirtschaftliches Verfahren.
- Ähnlich dem oben beschriebenen ersten Verfahren kann das Polycarbonat gemäß diesem zweiten Verfahren in hoher Ausbeute erhalten werden.
- Beispiele für die Epoxyverbindung (a) schließen ein: Glycidylether, wie Phenylglycidylether, Toluylglycidylether, Xylylglycidylether, Butylglycidylether, 2-Ethylhexylglycidylether, sec-Butylphenolglycidylether, 2-Methyloctylglycidylether, n-Decylglycidylether, Diglycidylether und der Diglycidylether von Bisphenol A;
- Glycidylester, wie Glycidylacetat, Glycidyllaurat, Glycidylpalmitat, Glycidylstearat und Glycidyloleat; und epoxidierte Kohlenwasserstoffe, wie epoxidiertes Octylstearat, epoxidiertes Soyabohnenöl, epoxidiertes Cyclohexan, epoxidiertes Dicyclopentadien und epoxidiertes Dihydrodicyclopentadien.
- Unter diesen werden besonders epoxidiertes Octylstearat, Phenylglycidylether und Toluylglycidylether bevorzugt.
- Beispiele für die Phenolverbindungen (b) umfassen 1,3,5- Trimethyl-2,4,6-(3,5-di-t-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)methylbenzol, Tetra[methylen-3-(3,5-di-t-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)propionat]methan, t-butyliertes Hydroxytoluol, p-Hydroxyanisol, 3-Methyl-4- isopropylphenol, 2-t-Butyl-4,6-dimethylphenol, 2-t-Butyl-4- methoxyphenol, 2,6-Di-t-butylphenol, Propylgallat, styrolisiertes Kresol, 2-(1-Methylcyclohexyl)-4,6-dimethylphenol, 2,4-Di-t- butyl-5-methylphenol, 2,6-Di-t-butyl-4-hydroxytoluol, 3,5-Di-t- butyl-4-hydroxytoluol, 4,4'Thiobis(2-methyl-6-t-butylphenol) und 2,2'Thiobis(4-methyl-6-t-butylphenol).
- Unter diesen werden 3, 5-Di-t-butyl-4-hydroxytoluol, 2,6-Di- t-butyl-4-hydroxytoluol und Tetra[methylen-3-(3,5-di-t-butyl-4- hydroxyphenyl)propionat]methan besonders bevorzugt.
- Beispiele für die Schwefelverbindungen (c) umfassen Mercaptobenzimidazol, Phenothiazin, N,N'Diphenylthioharnstoff, Tetramethylthiuramdisulfid, N-Oxydiethylen-2-benzothiazolylsulfenamid, N-Cyclohexyl-2-benzothiazolylsulfenamid, 2- Mercaptobenzothiazol/Cyclohexylamin-Salz, N,N-Diisopropyl-2- benzothiazolylsulfenamid, 2-(N,N'Diethylthiocarbonylthio)benzothiazol, Tetraethylthiuramdisulfid, Dibenzothiazolyldisulfid, Zinkdiethyldithiocarbamat, Zinkethylphenyldithiocarbamat, Zinkdi-n-butylthiocarbamat, Dilaurylthiodipropionat, Dilaurylthiodi-1,1'methylbutyrat, Dimyristyl-3,3,' thiodipropionat, Laurylstearylthiodipropionat, Distearylthiodipropionat, Distearylthiodibutyrat, Penta(erythrityl-tetra-β- mercaptolauryl) propionat, Dioctadecyldisulfid und 4,4,-Thiobis(3-methyl-6-t-butylphenol).
- Unter diesen werden Dilaurylthiodipropionat und 4,4'Thiobis(3-methyl-6-t-butylphenol) besonders bevorzugt.
- Beispiele für die Aminverbindungen (d) umfassen Phenyl-1- naphthylamin, N,N'Diphenyl-p-phenylendiamin, 4,4'Bis(α,α- dimethylbenzyl)diphenylamin, N,N'Di-β-naphthyl-p-phenylendiamin, 2,2,6,6-Tetramethyl-4-piperidinmethylmethacrylat, Bis (2,2,6,6- tetramethyl-4-piperidyl)oxalat, 1,2,2,6,6-Pentamethyl-4- piperidinmethylmethacrylat und Bis (1,2,2,6,6-pentamethyl-4- piperidyl)sebacat.
- Unter diesen wird 4,4'Bis(α,α-dimethylbenzyl)diphenylamin besonders bevorzugt.
- Beispiele für die Triesterphosphitverbindungen (e) umfassen Triisodecylphosphit, Trioctylphosphit, Trikresylphosphit, Triphenylphosphit, Diphenyloctylphosphit, Diphenyldecylphosphit, Phenyldidecylphosphit und 1,1,3-Tri-(2-methyl-4-ditridecylphosphit-5-t-butylphenyl)butan.
- Unter diesen werden Phenyldidecylphosphit und Diphenyldecylphosphit besonders bevorzugt.
- Beispiele für die Triesterphosphatverbindungen (f) schließen Triphenylphosphat, Trikresylphosphat, Trioctylphosphat und 1,1,3-Tris(2-methyl-4-ditridecylphosphat-5-tert- butylphenyl)butan ein.
- Unter diesen werden Triphenylphosphat und Trikresylphosphat besonders bevorzugt.
- Die Mengen der obenerwähnten Verbindungen (a) bis (f), die in der Schmierölzusammensetzung der vorliegenden Erfindung verwendet werden, sind wie folgt:
- Die Epoxyverbindung (a), die Phenolverbindung (b), die Schwefelverbindung (c) und die Aminverbindung (d) werden jeweils in einer Menge von 0,0001 bis 5 Gewichtsteilen, vorzugsweise 0,01 bis 3,0 Gewichtsteilen, bevorzugter 0,02 bis 2,0 Gewichtsteilen, bezogen auf 100 Gewichtsteile des durch die oben genannte Formel [I] dargestellten Polycarbonats, verwendet.
- Diese Verbindungen (a) bis (d) können einzeln oder in Kombination verwendet werden.
- Die Triesterphosphitverbindung (e) und die Triesterphosphatverbindung (f) werden jeweils in einer Menge von 0 bis 5 Gewichtsteilen, vorzugsweise 0,01 bis 3,0 Gewichtsteilen, bevorzugter 0,02 bis 2,0 Gewichtsteilen, bezogen auf 100 Gewichtsteile des durch die oben genannte Formel [I] dargestellten Polycarbonats, verwendet.
- Diese Verbindungen (e) und (f) können einzeln oder in Kombination verwendet werden.
- Das eine Carbonatbindung aufweisende Polycarbonat, das als Grundschmieröl in der vorliegenden Erfindung verwendet wird, erzeugt unter strengen Verwendungsbedingungen Kohlendioxidgas in sehr geringer Menge. Im allgemeinen ist das Kohlendioxidgas in einem gewöhnlichen Kühlsystem, in dem ein Fluorkohlenstoff, Chlorfluorkohlenstoff oder Hydrierungsprodukt derselben als Kühlmittel verwendet wird, nicht-kondensierend, und dadurch werden eine Abnahme der Kühleffizienz und ein Temperaturanstieg im Kompressionsschritt herbeigeführt. Deshalb sagt man, daß die Verwendung von Polycarbonaten ungünstig ist. Die gegenwärtigen Erfinder haben eine große Anzahl von Additiven untersucht, die die Erzeugung des Kohlendioxidgases verhindern können, und gefunden, daß die obenerwähnte Epoxyverbindung (a), Phenolverbindung (b), Schwefelverbindung (c), Aminverbindung (d), Triesterphosphidverbindung (e) und Triesterphosphatverbindung (f) als derartige Additive bemerkenswert wirksam sind.
- Weiter haben die gegenwärtigen Erfinder gefunden, daß die oben beschriebenen Verbindungen (a) bis (f) zu einer Vergrößerung der Schmiereigenschaften beitragen.
- Die Schmierölzusammensetzungen der vorliegenden Erfindung können zusätzlich zu dem obigen Polycarbonat, der obigen Epoxyverbindung (a), Phenolverbindung (b), Schwefelverbindung (c), Aminverbindung (d), Triesterphosphidverbindung (e) und Triesterphosphatverbindung (f) andere Komponenten enthalten.
- Beispielsweise kann im Fall der Verwendung der Schmierölzusammensetzungen der Erfindung als industrielle Getrieberadöle, Automobilmotoröle oder Automobilgetriebeöle Neutralöl oder Brightstock den Schmierölzusammensetzungen zugesetzt werden. Weiter sind andere Komponenten, die den Schmierölzusammensetzungen zugesetzt werden können, α-Olefin-Oligomere, wie flüssiges Polybuten und flüssiges Decen-Oligomer; Ester von Carbonsäuren, wie Diisooctyladipat, Diisooctylsebacat, Dilaurylsebacat, 2-Ethylhexansäuretetraester von Pentaaerythrit und Hexansäuretriester von Trimethylolpropan; und Pflanzenöle. Darüberhinaus können übliche bekannte Additive für Schmieröle, beispielsweise diejenigen, die in Toshio Sakurei "Additives for Petroleum Products" (herausgegeben von Saiwai Shobo, 1974) beschrieben sind, wie Detergens-Dispergiermittel, Antioxidantien, Lastwiderstands-Additive, ölige Mittel und Pourpointerniedrigende Mittel, den Schmierölzusammensetzungen zugesetzt werden, mit der Maßgabe, daß die Ziele der Erfindung nicht beeinträchtigt werden.
- Im Fall der Verwendung der Schmierölzusammensetzungen der Erfindung als Schmieröle für Kühlvorrichtungen, insbesondere im Fall der Verwendung derselben für Kühlvorrichtungen, in denen ein hydrierter Fluorkohlenstoff (HFC) als Kühlgas verwendet wird, sind die unter dem Gesichtspunkt der Kompatibilität besonders bevorzugten Komponenten, die den Schmierölzusammensetzungen zugesetzt werden können, Glycolether und Ester von Carbonsäuren. Es ist erforderlich, daß die Menge dieser Komponenten weniger als 60 Gewichtsprozent, bezogen auf 100 Gewichtsprozent der Gesamtmenge der Schmierölzusammensetzungen, ausmacht, weil eine übermäßige Menge derselben die Wärmebeständigkeit, die Kompatibilität mit R-134a und die Hygroskopie verschlechtert. Die obenerwähnten üblichen bekannten Additive für Schmieröle können den Schmierölzusammensetzungen ebenfalls zugesetzt werden. Darüberhinaus können bei den Schmierölen für Kühlvorrichtungen hydrierte Fluorkohlenstoffe (HFC) mit Eigenschaften, die die Ozonschicht nicht zerstören, wie R-134a, hydrierte Chlorfluorkohlenstoffe (HCFC), die für Ozon eine geringe zerstörerische Wirkung besitzen, wie R-22, und Hydrierungsprodukte derselben verwendet werden.
- Im Fall der Verwendung der Schmierölzusammensetzungen der Erfindung als beispielsweise Schmieröle für Walzwerke, Metallverarbeitungsöle und Schmieröle für die Textilindustrie kann das vorstehend erwähnte Polycarbonat in Form einer Emulsion mit Wasser verwendet werden, die unter Verwendung eines geeigneten Emulgiermittels erhalten wurde, wie auf übliche Weise durchgeführt.
- Die Schmierölzusammensetzugen gemäß der Erfindung weisen ausgezeichnete Schmiereigenschaften, eine ausgezeichnete Waschwirkung und ausgezeichnete elektrische Isoliereigenschaften auf, und ihre Viskosität kann im Vergleich zu Mineralölen und Schmierölen vom Ester-Typ bei niedrigen Temperaturen leicht verringert werden.
- Weiter können die Schmierölzusammensetzungen gemäß der Erfindung die Erzeugung von Carbonsäuren und Kohlendioxidgas verhindern, die durch Polycarbonate verursacht wird.
- Demgemäß können die Schmierölzusammensetzungen gemäß der Erfindung in breitem Umfang als beispielsweise industrielle Getrieberadöle, Automobilmotoröle, Automobilgetriebeöle, Schmieröle für Kühlvorrichtungen, wie eine Klimaanlage oder einen elektrischen Kühlschrank, Schmieröle für die Textilindustrie und Schmieröle für Walzwerke verwendet werden.
- Da die Schmierölzusammensetzungen gemäß der Erfindung nicht nur bezüglich der oben erwähnten Eigenschaften hervorragend sind, sondern auch bezüglich der Kompatibilität mit hydrierten Fluorkohlenstoffen (HFC), die die Ozonschicht nicht zerstören, und bezüglich der Kompatibilität mit hydrierten Chlorfluorkohlenstoffen (HCFC), die eine geringe zerstörende Wirkung auf Ozon aufweisen, können sie geeigneterweise als Schmieröle für Kühlvorrichtungen (z.B. Automobilklimaanlagen und elektrische Kühlschränke) verwendet werden, in denen diese hydrierten Produkte einzeln oder in Kombination als Kühlmittel verwendet werden.
- Die vorliegende Erfindung wird weiter in den folgenden Beispielen beschrieben.
- Die Analysen der Polycarbonate und der Kontrollmaterialien und die Leistungsbewertungen der Schmierölzusammensetzungen in den Beispielen und Vergleichsbeispielen werden gemäß den folgenden Testverfahren vorgenommen.
- Nach einem 5-minütigen Aufwärmbetrieb unter einer Last von 1,11 kN (250 lbf) wird unter Verwendung eines Falex-Testers die Belastung kontinuierlich gesteigert, und der Wert der gesteigerten Belastung, bei der ein Verbrennungszeichen auftritt, wird als die Belastbarkeit genommen.
- Für das Entnehmen von Gasproben wird ein Autoklav mit 50 cm³ Fassungsvermögen, an dessen oberem Teil eine Proben- Gießtülle für die Gaschromatographie angeschweißt worden ist, mit g eines Probenöls beladen, und der Autoklav wird in Stickstoffatmosphäre verschlossen. Anschließend wird der Autoklav mittels eines thermostatisierten Ölbades, das bei 175ºC gesteuert wird, erwärmt, und nach 7-stündigem Erwärmen wird 1 cm³ der Gasphase, die im Autoklaven vorhanden ist, mittels einer Gasspritze durch die Gasproben-Tülle gesammelt, die am oberen Teil des Autoklaven vorgesehen ist. Die Konzentration an CO&sub2;, die vom Probenöl erzeugt worden ist, wird mittels Gaschromatographie unter den folgenden Bedingungen gemessen:
- Säule: Aktivierte Kohlenstoffsäule 6 m
- Säulentemperatur: 165ºC
- Trägergas: He
- Durchsatz der Trägergaszufuhr: 40 ml/min
- Detektor: TCD
- (1) In ein Testrohr mit 10 mm Innendurchmesser und 20 cm Tiefe wird 1 ml der Probe gegeben, und während man das Testrohr in einem Trockeneis/Acetonbad kühlt, wird Freon R-134a allmählich aus einer Druckflasche in das Testrohr eingeleitet und darin aufbewahrt, so daß es ein Volumen erreicht, das etwas größer ist als dasjenige der Probe. Die Mischung im Testrohr wird dann mit einem Spatel gerührt, und das Testrohr wird in ein Kühlbad überführt, das bei -20ºC gehalten wird, um die Löslichkeit der Probe in Freon R-134a zu einem Zeitpunkt zu untersuchen, bei dem das Volumenverhältnis der Probe:Freon 134a 1:1 geworden ist. Zum Zeitpunkt der Untersuchung wird, wenn die resultierende Mischung eine perfekt homogene Lösung ist, die Bewertung als o genommen, und wenn sich die Probe nicht in Freon 134a löst, wird die Bewertung als x genommen.
- (2) Um die Löslichkeit des Carbonatprodukts in Freon 134a in mehr Einzelheit zu untersuchen, werden das Schmieröl und Freon 134a in verschiedenen Verhältnissen in einem Glasrohr eingeschlossen, um eine kritische Temperatur zu erhalten, bei der die zwei Verbindungen miteinander kompatibel werden.
- (3) In einen 200 ml Druckglaszylinder werden 5 g des Probenöls aufgenommen, gefolgt vom Anlegen von Vakuum. 95 g Freon 134a werden in den Zylinder gegeben, welches gründlich mit dem Probenöl gemischt wird, um die Kompatibilität der zwei Verbindungen zu bewerten. Wenn diese gründliche Mischung bei einer Temperatur im Bereich von 150 bis -30ºC durchsichtig ist, wird die Kompatibilität als annehmbar beurteilt.
- In einen 5 l Kolben, der mit einer Destillationssäule mit einem Boden mit 10 Sieben ausgestattet war, wurden 588 g (4,98 Mol) 3-Methyl-1,5-pentadiol, 2500 g (21,42 Mol) Methylhexanol (eine Mischung, die aus 87% einer 3-Methylverbindung und 13% einer 5-Methylverbindung bestand), 1932 g (21,45 Mol) Dimethylcarbonat und 3,8 g (0,020 Mol) einer Methanollösung von 28 Gewichtsprozent NaOCH&sub3; gegeben.
- Diese Mischung wurde 8 Stunden bei Atmosphärendruck bei 110-160ºC erwärmt, um das resultierende Methanol abzudestillieren. Die Ausbeute des Methanols betrug 98%.
- Anschließend ließ man diese Mischung 8 Stunden eine Reaktion eingehen, indem man bei 130-170ºC unter verringertem Druck (17-1,3 kPa (130-10 mmHg)) erwärmte, um Methanol, Dimethylcarbonat, Methylhexanol und Methylmethylhexylcarbonat abzudestillieren.
- Nach Waschen der so erhaltenen Mischung mit einer wässrigen Lösung, die Ammoniumcarbonat in der 5-fachen Molmenge des verwendeten NaOCH&sub3; enthielt, und anschließend mit Wasser, wurde überschüssiges Dimethylhexylcarbonat durch Destillation entfernt, wodurch man 1480 g eines Polycarbonats erhielt.
- Durch Analyse wurde gefunden, daß das so erhaltene Polycarbonat eine Mischung eines Polycarbonats mit der folgenden Struktur und seines Kondensats war:
- C&sub7;H&sub1;&sub5;OCOOCH&sub2;CH&sub2;CH(CH&sub3;)CH&sub2;CH&sub2;OCOOC&sub7;H&sub1;&sub5;
- Die Tabelle 1 zeigt die grundlegende Eigenschaft des so erhaltenen Polycarbonats als Schmieröl. Tabelle 1

- (Bemerkung 2) Schmieröl: 15 Gewichtsprozent R-134a : 85 Gewichtsprozent
- Es wurde eine Mischung von 100 Gewichtsteilen des Polycarbonats von Bezugsbeispiel 1 als Grundschmieröl und 1, Gewichtsteilen 2, 6-Di-t-butyl-4-hydroxytoluol hergestellt. Die so erhaltene Mischung wurde bezüglich der Kohlenstoffdioxid- Konzentration und Kompatibilität mit Freon R-134a gemäß dem vorstehenden Testverfahren getestet.
- Die erhaltenen Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle 2 aufgeführt.
- Es wurde eine Mischung erhalten, indem man das gleiche Verfahren wie in Vergleichsbeispiel 1 wiederholte, außer daß Dilaurylthiodipropionat anstelle des 2,6-Di-t-butyl-4- hydroxytoluols verwendet wurde.
- Die so erhaltene Mischung wurde bezüglich der Kohlendioxidgas-Konzentration und Kompatibilität mit Freon R-134a gemäß dem vorstehenden Testverfahren getestet.
- Die erhaltenen Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle 2 aufgeführt.
- Man erhielt eine Mischung, indem man das gleiche Verfahren wie in Vergleichsbeispiel 1 wiederholte, außer daß die Menge des verwendeten 2,6-Di-t-butyl-4-hydroxytoluols auf 0,05 Gewichtsteile abgeändert wurde und weiter 1,0 Gewichtsteile Phenyldidecylphosphit verwendet wurden.
- Die so erhaltene Mischung wurde bezüglich der Kohlendioxidgas-Konzentration und Kompatibilität mit Freon R-134a gemäß dem vorstehenden Testverfahren getestet.
- Die erhaltenen Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle 2 aufgeführt.
- Man erhielt eine Mischung, indem man das gleiche Verfahren wie in Beispiel 1 wiederholte, außer daß 1,0 Gewichtsteile Dilaurylthiodipropionat anstelle des Phenyldidecylphosphits verwendet wurden.
- Die so erhaltene Mischung wurde bezüglich der Kohlendioxid- Konzentration und Kompatibilität mit Freon R-134a gemäß dem vorstehenden Testverfahren getestet.
- Die erhaltenen Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle 2 aufgeführt.
- Man erhielt eine Mischung, indem man das gleiche Verfahren wie in Vergleichsbeispiel 1 wiederholte, außer daß epoxydiertes Octylstearat anstelle des 2,6-Di-t-butyl-4-hydroxytoluols verwendet wurde.
- Die so erhaltene Mischung wurde bezüglich der Kohlendioxid- Konzentration und Kompatibilität mit Freon R-134a gemäß dem vorstehenden Testverfahren getestet.
- Die erhaltenen Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle 2 aufgeführt.
- Man erhielt eine Mischung, indem man das gleiche Verfahren wie in Vergleichsbeispiel 1 wiederholte, außer daß 4,4'Bis(α,α- dimethylbenzyl)diphenylamin anstelle des 2, 6-Di-t-butyl-4- hydroxytoluols verwendet wurde.
- Die so erhaltene Mischung wurde bezüglich der Kohlendioxid- Konzentration und Kompatibilität mit Freon R-134a gemäß dem vorstehenden Testverfahren getestet.
- Die erhaltenen Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle 2 aufgeführt.
- Das Polycarbonat (Grundöl) von Bezugsbeispiel 1 wurde bezüglich der Kohlendioxidgas-Konzentration und Kompatibilität mit Freon R-134a gemäß dem vorstehenden Testverfahren getestet.
- Die erhaltenen Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle 2 aufgeführt. Tabelle 2

Claims (4)
1. Schmieröl-Zusammensetzung, umfassend:
(1) 100 Gewichtsteile eines Polycarbonats der
allgemeinen Formel [I]
R&sub1;OCOO[(R&sub2;O)pCOO]nR&sub3; [I]
in der R&sub1; und R&sub3; jeweils unabhängig eine
Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe mit nicht mehr als 30
Kohlenstoffatomen oder eine Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe sind,
die eine Etherbindung enthält und 2 bis 30
Kohlenstoffatome aufweist, R&sub2; eine Alkylengruppe mit 2 bis
24 Kohlenstoffatomen ist, p eine ganze Zahl von 1 bis 100
ist und n eine ganze Zahl von 1 bis 10 ist,
(2) 0,0001 bis 5 Gewichtsteile einer Phenolverbindung (b)
und
(3) 0,0001 bis 5 Gewichtsteile einer Schwefelverbindung
(c) oder 0,01 bis 5 Gewichtsteile einer Triester-
Phosphitverbindung (e).
2. Zusammensetzung nach Anspruch 1, in der die
Schwefelverbindung (c) Dilaurylthiodipropionat oder 4,4'
Thiobis(3-methyl-6-t-butylphenol) ist.
3. Zusammensetzung nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, die auch einen
hydrierten Fluorkohlenstoff (HFC) enthält.
4. Verfahren zur Herstellung einer wie in irgendeinem der
Ansprüche 1 bis 3 definierten Zusammensetzung, welches
das Zusammenmischen der Komponenten (1), (2) und (3), wie
in Anspruch 1 definiert, und gegebenenfalls des
hydrierten Fluorkohlenstoffs (HFC) umfaßt.
