- Detaillierte Beschreibung der Erfindung
- Technisches Gebiet
- Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft Kunststofflinsen mit guter UV-Absorbierbarkeit, besonders für Brillengläser, sowie ein Verfahren zu deren Herstellung. Genauer gesagt, betrifft die Erfindung Kunststofflinsen, die langwellige UV-Strahlung im Wellenlängenbereich von ca. 400 nm absorbieren und eine verringerte Gelbfärbung bzw. Vergilbung aufweisen, sowie das Verfahren zu deren Herstellung.
- Hintergrund der Erfindung
- UV-Licht ist elektromagnetische Strahlung mit einer Wellenlänge von ca. 200 bis 400 nm, wovon gesagt wird, dass sich daraus negative Einflüsse auf den menschlichen Körper ergeben. Auf dem Gebiet von Linsen für Brillen besteht eine ansteigende Nachfrage nach UV-absorbierenden Linsen zum Schutz des menschlichen Auges vor UV-Licht.
- Verschiedene Verfahren sind zur Erzeugung UV-absorbierender Kunststofflinsen für z.B. Brillengläser bekannt. Ein erstes Verfahren umfasst die Einbringung eines UV-Absorbens wie von 2,2'-Dihydroxy-4-methoxybenzophenon, 2,2'-Dihyroxy-4-n-octoxybenzophenon oder dgl. in ein Kunststofflinsenmonomer unter anschließender Polymerisation des Monomer, um Kunststofflinsen zu ergeben, wie offenbart in JP-OSsen 50 049/1975, 122 501/1983, 171 716/1990, 93 422/1990 und 254 119/1987.
- Ein zweites Verfahren betrifft die Färbung von Kunststofflinsen, wobei man die Kunststofflinsen in eine wässrige Lösung mit einem darin dispergierten UV-Absorbens bei einer Temperatur von 80 bis 100°C taucht, um dadurch die Kunststofflinsen mit dem UV-Absorbens zu infiltrieren (JP OS 230 003/1989).
- Ein drittes Verfahren umfasst die Aufbringung einer Substanz mit der Befähigung zum Absorbieren und/oder Streuen von UV-Licht auf Kunststofflinsen (JP-OS 265 059/1997).
- Es ist anzunehmen, dass die Mehrzahl herkömmlicher im Handel verfügbarer Kunststofflinsen für Brillengläser, die die Befähigung zum Absorbieren von UV-Licht bis zu 400 nm aufweisen, gemäß dem zweiten Verfahren erzeugt wird.
- Probleme, die durch die Erfindung zu lösen sind
- Das erste in JP-OSsen 171 716/1990, 93 422/1990 und 254 119/1987 offenbarte Verfahren ist auf die Verbesserung der Lichtechtheit der Kunststofflinsen gerichtet. Werden Linsen mit der Befähigung zur Absorption von UV-Licht bis zu ca. 400 nm gemäß dem ersten Verfahren mit herkömmlichen UV-Absorbenzien, wie mit 2,2'-Dihydroxy-4-methoxybenzophenon, 2,2'-Dihydroxy-4-n-octoxybenzophenon usw., hergestellt und insbesondere Diethylenglykolbisallylcarbonat, das ein typisches Material für Brillengläser-Kunststofflinsen darstellt, verwendet, sind Probleme unvermeidbar. Ein Problem beruht darauf, dass die erzeugten Kunststofflinsen oft extrem vergilbt sind und dadurch ein nur geringerwertiges Aussehen aufweisen; ein weiteres Problem besteht insofern, als eine große Menge des UV-Absorbens zu verwenden ist, um dadurch negative Einflüsse auf die Polymerisationsreaktion zu ergeben, wobei dann auch die physikalischen Eigenschaften der erzeugten Kunststofflinsen oft nur geringwertig sind.
- Das zweite Verfahren ist insofern ebenfalls problematisch, als das dabei verwendete UV-Absorbens einen hohen Grad des UV-Absorptionsvermögens sowie einen entsprechend geeigneten Grad der Wasserlöslichkeit aufweisen muss und die erzeugten Kunststofflinsen keinen genügend guten UV-Absorptionsgrad ergeben, oder, falls sie diesen dennoch aufweisen, die Tauchzeit während der Produktion verlängert und die erhaltenen Kunststofflinsen oft gelblich sind. Anstelle der Verwendung von Wasser wie im zweiten Verfahren ist ein weiteres Verfahren vorgeschlagen worden, worin ein organisches Lösungsmittel verwendet wird. Allerdings ist dies immer noch insofern problematisch, als die dabei erzeugten Kunststofflinsen oft extrem vergilbt sind.
- Das dritte Verfahren ist zum Erhalt von Kunststofflinsen mit der Befähigung zur Absorption des UV-Lichts bis zu ca. 400 nm ebenfalls nicht besonders geeignet.
- Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung ist es, die oben aufgezeigten Probleme zu lösen und ein Verfahren zur Erzeugung von Kunststofflinsen, insbesondere für Brillengläser, anzugeben und zur Verfügung zu stellen, mit welchem Kunststofflinsen hergestellt und erzeugt werden, die ein verbessertes Vermögen zur Absorption von UV-Licht bis zu ca. 400 nm aufweisen und weniger gelblich als herkömmliche Brillengläser-Kunststofflinsen sind, worin die den Linsen zugefügte Menge des UV-Absorbens verringert ist.
- Mittel zur Lösung der Probleme
- Die hier auftretenden Erfinder haben zur Lösung der obigen Aufgabe umfängliche Untersuchungen durchgeführt und dabei herausgefunden, dass bei Infiltration spezifischer Kunststofflinsen mit einem spezifischen UV-Absorbens die sich dabei ergebenden Linsen über ein ausgezeichnetes Vermögen zur Absorption von UV-Strahlen bis zu ca. 400 nm verfügen und nicht zu sehr vergilbt werden. Auf der Grundlage dieser Erkenntnisse ist die vorliegende Erfindung erfolgreich abgeschlossen worden.
- In ganz spezifischer Weise wird durch die Erfindung ein Verfahren zur Erzeugung von Kunststofflinsen mit gutem UV-Absorptionsvermögen, besonders für Brillengläser, angegeben und zur Verfügung gestellt, wobei Poly(thio)urethan-Linsen oder Linsen aus einem Polymer vom Diethylenglykolbisallylcarbonat-Typ in eine Lösung eingetaucht werden, die mindestens eine Verbindung umfasst, ausgewählt aus Dibenzoylmethanverbindungen der allgemeinen Formel (1): worin R und R' jeweils eine lineare oder verzweigte C1-8-Alkylgruppe oder eine lineare oder verzweigte C1-8-Alkoxygruppe darstellen und n und n' unabhängig 0 oder eine ganze Zahl von 1 bis 3 sind, und aus Benzotriazolverbindungen der allgemeinen Formel (2): worin R'' ein Wasser-, Chlor- oder Bromatom darstellt und n und m' jeweils 1 oder 2 sind.

- Das UV-Absorbens, das in der Erfindung verwendet wird, ist eine Dibenzoylmethanverbindung der Formel (1) oder eine Benzotriazolverbindung der Formel (2). Die Verbindungen der Formel (1) sind bekannte Substanzen, die z.B. in JP-OS 46 056/1977 beschrieben sind; und die Verbindungen der Formel (2) sind ebenfalls bekannte Verbindungen. Allerdings war es bisher unbekannt, dass sich diese Verbindungen als UV-Absorbens für Kunststofflinsen eignen, die Kunststofflinsen, die dieses Absorbens enthalten, UV-Licht bis zu ca. 400 nm zu absorbieren vermögen und eine verringerte Gelbfärbung im Vergleich mit herkömmlichen Kunststofflinsen aufweisen.
- In der Formel (1) stellen R und R' jeweils lineares oder verzweigtes C1-8-Alkyl oder C1-8-Alkoxy dar. Die lineare oder verzweigte C1-8-Alkylgruppe schließt Methyl, Ethyl, n-Propyl, Isopropyl, n-Butyl, Isobutyl, sec-Butyl, t-Butyl, Pentyl (einschließlich aller Isomerer, wie n-Pentyl, Isopentyl usw. – Gleiches gilt für alle Gruppen der hierin referierten Isomeren), Hexyl, Heptyl und Octyl ein. Gleiches gilt für den Alkylrest der linearen oder verzweigten C1-8-Alkoxygruppe. Vorzugsweise weisen die Alkyl- (oder Alkoxy)gruppe 1 bis 4 Kohlenstoffatome auf. Ebenfalls bevorzugt sind n und n' jeweils 0 oder 1.

Unter diesen sind 4-t-Butyl-4'-methoxy-DBM und DBM besonders bevorzugt. Es ist auch möglich, eine Einzelverbindung der Formel (1) allein oder eine Kombination von 2 oder mehr davon zu verwenden.
- In der Formel (2) ist R'' bevorzugt H oder Cl. Ebenfalls bevorzugt sind m und m' jeweils 1. Spezifische Beispiele der Benzotriazolverbindungen der Formel (2) sind die folgenden:

5-Chlor-2-(2,4-dihydroxyphenyl)benzotriazol besonders bevorzugt. Es ist möglich, eine Einzelverbindung der Formel (2) allein oder eine Kombination von 2 oder mehr davon zu verwenden. - Ebenfalls ist es möglich, eine oder mehrere Verbindung(en) der Formel (1) zusammen mit einer oder mehreren Verbindung(en) der Formel (2) zu verwenden.
- Wasser oder ein organisches Lösungsmittel wie Alkohol oder dgl. werden zum UV-Absorbens gegeben, um eine Lösung des UV-Absorbens zuzubereiten, in die die Kunststofflinsen getaucht werden. Gegebenenfalls können ein oberflächenaktives Mittel zur Verbesserung der Dispergierbarkeit des UV-Absorbens, ein Quellmittel wie Benzylalkohol oder dgl. mit der Befähigung zur Quellung von Kunststoffen, ein Antioxidans usw. zur Lösung des UV-Absorbens gegeben werden. Die Menge des oberflächenaktiven Mittels, falls dieses zugefügt wird, ist nicht spezifisch definiert, kann aber ganz allgemein 1 bis 50 mL/L des Lösungsmittels wie von Wasser usw. ausmachen.
- Die Kunststofflinsen der Erfindung werden durch Eintauchen von Poly(thio)urethan-Linsen oder von Linsen aus einem Polymer vom Diethylenglykolbisallylcarbonat-Typ in eine Lösung des UV-Absorbens der Formel (1) und/oder (2) hergestellt. Die Temperatur der Lösung des UV-Absorbens ist nicht spezifisch definiert und kann in Abhängigkeit vom Material der Kunststofflinsen, die darin eingetaucht werden, und von der Tauchzeit schwanken. Im Hinblick auf die Praxis liegt die Temperatur vorzugsweise im Bereich von 40 bis 100°C.
- Poly(thio)urethan-Linsen der Erfindung schließen Polythiourethan- und Polyurethan-Linsen ein, und diese werden durch Polymerisieren von Thiourethan- oder Urethan-Monomeren erzeugt. Konkret, schließen die Monomeren eine Kombination aus Polyisocyanat und Polythiol sowie eine Kombination aus Polyisocyanat und Polyol ein.
- Das Polyisocyanat ist nicht spezifisch definiert und schließt z.B. ein:
alicyclische Isocyanat wie hydriertes 2,6-Tolylendiisocyanat, hydriertes m- und p-Phenylendiisocyanate, hydriertes 2,4-Tolylendiisocyanat, hydriertes Diphenylmethandiisocyanat, hydriertes m-Xylylendiisocyanat, hydriertes p-Xylylendiisocyanat und Isophorondiisocyanate; Isocyanatverbindungen, wie m- und p-Phenylendiisocyanate, 2,6-Tolylendiisocyanat, 2,4-Tolylendiisocyanat, 4,4'-Diphenylmethandiisocyanat, m- und p-Xylylendiisocyanate, m- und p-Tetramethylxylylendiisocyanate, 2,6-Naphthalindiisocyanat, 1,5-Naphthalindiisocyanat, Hexamethylendiisocyanat, Octamethylendiisocyanat, 2,2,4-Trimethylhexamethylendiisocyanat, Tetramethylendiisocyanat, Biuret-Reaktionsprodukte von Hexamethylendiisocyanat, Trimere von Hexamethylendiisocyanat, Lysindiisocyanat, Lysintriisocyanat, 1,6,11-Undecantriisocyanat und Triphenylmethantriisocyanat;

- Ganz selbstverständlich ist es auch möglich, weitere Kunststofflinsenmonomere wie Episulfid-Monomere, Diethylenglykolallylcarobnat-Monomere und weitere Monomere diesen (Thio)urethan-Monomeren zur Verbesserung der physikalischen Eigenschaften der Kunststofflinsen der vorliegenden Erfindung wie der Hitzebeständigkeit, des Brechungsvermögen usw. zuzufügen.
- Die Linsen aus Polymeren vom Diethylenglykolbisallylcarbonat-Typ schließen Linsen aus Diethylenglykolbisallylcarbonat-Homopolymer und Linsen aus Copolymeren von Diethylenglykolbisallylcarbonat mit weiteren damit copolymerisierbaren Monomeren ein. Spezifische Beispiele von solchen Comonomeren sind aromatische Vinylverbindungen, wie Styrol, α-Methylstyrol, Vinyltoluol, Chlorstyrol, Chlormethylstyrol und Divinylbenzol, Mono(meth)acrylate wie Methyl(meth)acrylat, n-Butyl(meth)acrylat, n-Hexyl(meth)acrylat, Cyclohexyl(meth)acrylat, 2-Ethylhexyl(meth)acrylat,
Methoxydiethylenglykol(meth)acrylat, Methoxypolyethylenglykol(meth)acrylat, 3-Chlor-2-hydroxypropyl(meth)acrylat, Stearyl(meth)acrylat, Lauryl(meth)acrylat, Phenyl(meth)acrylat, Glycidyl(meth)acrylat und Benzyl(meth)acrylat,

Der hier verwendete Begriff "(Meth)acrylat" schließt sowohl Methacrylat als auch Acrylat ein. Unter den obigen Verbindungen sind aromatische Monomere besonders bevorzugt, da sie Kunststofflinsen mit hohem Brechungsvermögen ergeben. - Copolymere von Diethylenglykolbisallylcarbonat und weiteren Monomeren sind bekannt. Entsprechende Beispiele sind in JP-OSsen 41 965/1979, 125 487/1976 und in der erneut offengelegten JP 503 809/1989 offenbart. Die Mischungen aus Diethylenglykolbisallylcarbonat und damit copolymerisierbaren Monomeren, die in diesen Patentveröffentlichungen offenbart sind, eignen sich alle als Diethylenglykolbisallylcarbonat-Monomere in der vorliegenden Erfindung.
- Poly(thio)urethan-Linsen und Linsen aus Polymeren vom Diethylenglykolbisallylcarbonat-Typ gemäß der Erfindung werden durch Polymerisieren der oben genannten Kunststofflinsen-Monomeren hergestellt. Das entsprechende Polymerisierverfahren ist nicht spezifisch definiert. Allerdings wird im Allgemeinen eine Gaspolymerisation angewandt. In spezifischer Weise werden Kunststofflinsen-Monomere wie die oben genannten in eine Linsenform gegossen und darin bei einer Temperatur von –20 bis 150°C gehärtet, um eine Kunststofflinse zu ergeben. Gewünschtenfalls können ein Polymerisationskatalysator wie der in JP-OSsen 063 902/1995, 104 101/1995, 208 621/1997, 255 781/1997 usw. beschriebene, ein inneres Freisetzmittel, ein Antioxidans und weitere Hilfsmittel wie die in JP-OSsen 163 012/1989, 281 312/1991 usw. beschriebenen den Kunststofflinsen-Monomeren zugefügt werden.
- Auch können die Kunststofflinsen der Erfindung gewünschtenfalls mit einem Färbemittel gefärbt werden. Zur Verbesserung von deren Kratzbeständigkeit können die Kunststofflinsen mit einem harten Film überzogen werden. Zu diesem Zweck eignet sich eine Überzugsflüssigkeit, die auf eine Organosiliciumverbindung oder anorganische Feinpartikel aus Zinn-, Silicium-, Zirkon-, Titanoxid usw. enthält. Zur Verbesserung von deren Stoßbeständigkeit können die Kunststofflinsen mit einer Primerschicht überzogen werden, die im Wesentlichen aus Polyurethan besteht. Zur Verhinderung von deren Blendglanz können die Kunststofflinsen mit einem Anti-Blendglanzfilm überzogen werden, der Silicium-, Titan-, Zirkon-, Tantaloxid usw. enthält. Zur Verbesserung von deren Wasserabstoßvermögen kann der Anti-Blendglanzfilm der Kunststofflinsen mit einem wasserabstoßenden Film aus einer fluorhaltigen Organosiliciumverbindung überzogen werden.
- Die Kunststofflinsen der Erfindung werden durch Eintauchen der spezifischen Kunststofflinsen in eine Lösung, die ein spezifisches UV-Absorbens enthält, hergestellt und sind daher frei von den Problemen, die mit Linsen zusammenhängen, die durch Zugabe eines UV-Absorbens zu einem Kunststofflinsen-Monomer unter anschließender Polymerisation des Monomer hergestellt werden. Diese Probleme schließen optische Spannung und Schleierbildung der Linsen ein. In den Linsen mit dem dem Linsen-Monomer zugefügten UV-Absorbens ist das UV-Absorbens einheitlich durch die Linse hindurch dispergiert. Im Gegensatz dazu, werden die Kunststofflinsen der Erfindung durch Eintauchen der Kunststofflinsen in eine Lösung des UV-Absorbens hergestellt, und zwar so, dass die Linsen mit dem UV-Absorbens infiltriert werden. Somit liegt das UV-Absorbens nur in der Oberflächenregion der Linse vor, dringt aber nicht durch die Oberfläche hindurch ein, um die Tiefe der Linse zu erreichen.
- Die Kunststofflinsen der Erfindung können unterschiedliche Typen aufweisen und werden in geeigneter Weise in Abhängigkeit von deren Anwendungszwecken ausgewählt. Beispielsweise werden gemäß einer Ausführungsform Kunststofflinsen für Brillengläser bereitgestellt, worin das Zentrum der Linse, wenn dieses eine Dicke von 1,8 bis 2,2 mm aufweist, einen Gelb-Index (yellow index = YI) von 0,8 bis 1,2 und eine UV-Durchlässigkeit bei 385 nm von 1 bis 4 aufweist.
- Beispiele
- Die Erfindung wird nun noch weiter unter Bezug auf die folgenden, nicht-einschränkenden Beispiele beschrieben. Die physikalischen Eigenschaften der hierin hergestellten Kunststofflinsen werden gemäß den unten angegebenen Verfahren gemessen.
- <1> Gelb-Index (Yellow Index = YI): Dieser wird gemäß JIS K7103-1977, gemessen, welcher den YI von Kunststoffen sowie Testverfahren zu dessen Bestimmung angibt.
- <2> Durchlässigkeit: Die UV-Durchlässigkeit bei 385 nm jeder Kunststofflinse wurde mit einem Hitachi U3410-Spektrofotometer gemessen.
- Beispiel 1
- 100 Gew.-Teile Diethylenglykolbisallylcarbonat und 3 Gew.-Teile Diisopropylperoxidicarbonat wurden vermischt und vollständig verrührt. Die entstandene Mischung wurde in eine Glasform für Linsen (Linsenstärke: D = 0,00, Linsendurchmesser: 70 mm, Linsendicke: 2,2 mm), gegossen, die vorab hergestellt und mit einer Harz-Dichtung ausgerüstet worden war. Die Form wurden in einen Elektroofen gegeben und stufenweise darin von 40 auf 90°C in 20 h erwärmt und dann bei 90°C 1 h lang gehalten, um so das Monomer zu polymerisieren.
- Nach der Polymerisation wurden die Dichtung und die Form freigesetzt und die gebildete Linse bei 120°C 1 h lang weiter erhitzt.
- Dann wurden 7,5 g 4-t-Butyl-4'-methoxydibenzoylmethan als UV-Absorbens und 10 mL Nikka Sunsalt 7000 (nicht-ionisches oberflächenaktives Mittel von Nikka Chemical) zu 1 L Wasser gegeben, um eine Lösung des UV-Absorbens zuzubereiten, worauf das Ganze auf 85°C erwärmt wurde.
- Die oben hergestellte Linse wurde in die Lösung des UV-Absorbens 40 min lang getaucht und dann einer Hitzebehandlung bei 120°C 1 h lang unterzogen. Durch dieses Verfahren wurde die Kunststofflinse mit dem UV-Absorbens infiltriert.
- Das Zentrum der so erhaltenen Linse (Dicke: 2,2 mm) wies einen YI von 1,0 auf. Die Linse war leicht gelblich, die UV-Durchlässigkeit bei 385 nm betrug 1%, und das UV-Abschneidvermögen war gut. Die spektrale Durchlässigkeitskurve der Linse ist in
1 dargestellt. - Beispiel 2
- In gleicher Weise wie in Beispiel 1 wurde eine Linse hergestellt, mit der Ausnahme, dass die Lösung des UV-Absorbens kein oberflächenaktives Mittel enthielt.
- Das Zentrum der so erhaltenen Linse (Dicke: 2,2 mm) wies einen YI von 0,9 auf. Die Linse war leicht gelblich, die UV-Durchlässigkeit bei 385 nm betrug 4%, und das UV-Abschneidvermögen war gut. Die spektrale Durchlässigkeitskurve der Linse ist in
1 dargestellt. - Beispiel 3
- In gleicher Weise wie in Beispiel 1 wurde eine Linse hergestellt, mit der Ausnahme, dass die verwendete Lösung des UV-Absorbens durch Zugabe von 7,5 g Dibenzoylmethan und von 10 mL Nikka Sunsalt 7000 (nicht-ionisches oberflächenaktives Mittel von Nikka Chemical) zu 1 L Wasser hergestellt wurde.
- Das Zentrum der so erhaltenen Linse (Dicke: 2,2 mm) wies einen YI von 1,1 auf. Die Linse war leicht gelblich, die UV-Durchlässigkeit bei 385 nm betrug 4%, und das UV-Abschneidvermögen war gut. Die spektrale Durchlässigkeitskuve der Linse ist in
1 dargestellt. - Beispiel 4
- In gleicher Weise wie in Beispiel 1 wurde eine Linse hergestellt, mit der Ausnahme, dass die verwendete Lösung des UV-Absorbens durch Zugabe von 7,5 g 2-(2,4-Dihydroxyphenyl)benzotriazol und von 10 mL Nikka Sunsalt 7000 (nicht-ionisches oberflächenaktives Mittel von Nikka Chemical) zu 1 L Wasser hergestellt wurde.
- Das Zentrum der so erhaltenen Linse (Dicke: 2,2 mm) wies einen YI von 1,1 auf. Die Linse war leicht gelblich, die UV-Durchlässigkeit bei 385 nm betrug 4%, und das UV-Abschneidvermögen war gut. Die spektrale Durchlässigkeitskurve der Linse ist in
1 dargestellt. - Beispiel 5
- In gleicher Weise wie in Beispiel 1 wurde eine Linse hergestellt, mit der Ausnahme, dass die Lösung des UV-Absorbens durch Zugabe von 7,5 g 5-Chlor-2-(2,4-dihydroxyphenyl)benzotriazol und von 10 mL Nikka Sunsalt 7000 (nicht-ionisches oberflächenaktives Mittel von Nikka Chemical) zu 1 L Wasser hergestellt wurde.
- Das Zentrum der so erhaltenen Linse (Dicke: 2,2 mm) wies einen YI von 1,0 auf. Die Linse war leicht gelblich, die UV-Durchlässigkeit bei 385 nm betrug 3%, und das UV-Abschneidvermögen war gut. Die spektrale Durchlässigkeitskurve der Linse ist in
1 dargestellt. - Beispiel 6
- 0,45 Gew.-Teile Dimethylzinndichlorid und 0,16 Gew.-Teile saures Phosphat JP506 (Schmiermittel von Johoku Chemical) wurden zugegeben und mit 47,5 Gew.-Teilen 1,3-Diisocyanatomethylcyclohexan vermischt, worauf 26,0 Gew.-Teile 2,5-Dimercaptomethyl-1,4-dithian und 26,5 Gew.-Teile Pentaerythrityltetrakismercaptoacetat unter weiterem Rühren und verringertem Druck von 10 mmHg 30 min lang zugegeben wurden, um eine Monomerzusammensetzung für Linsen zuzubereiten.
- Als Nächstes wurde die Monomerzusammensetzung in eine Glasform für Linsen (Linsenstärke: D = 0,00, Linsendurchmesser: 80 mm, Linsendicke: 1,6 mm) gegossen, die vorher hergestellt und mit einer Harz-Dichtung ausgerüstet worden war. Die Form wurde in einen Elektroofen gegeben und stufenweise darin von 20 auf 100°C in 20 h erwärmt. Nach dieser Erwärmung wurde die Form aus dem Ofen entnommen und ihre Dichtung abgenommen. Dann wurde sie erneut in den Ofen gegeben, darin auf 120°C 1 h lang erhitzt und dann bei 120°C 3 h lang gehalten. Durch dieses Verfahren wurden die Monomeren polymerisiert.
- Nach der Polymerisation wurden die Form freigesetzt und die gebildete Linse bei 120°C 1 h lang weiter erhitzt.
- 7,5 g Dibenzoylmethan und 10 mL Nikka Sunsalt 7000 (nicht-ionisches oberflächenaktives Mittel von Nikka Chemical) wurden zu 1 L Wasser gegeben, um eine Lösung des UV-Absorbens zuzubereiten, worauf das Ganze bei 85°C erwärmt wurde.
- Die oben hergestellte Linse wurde in die Lösung des UV-Absorgens 40 min lang getaucht und dann einer Hitzebehandlung bei 120°C 1 h lang unterzogen. Durch dieses Verfahren wurde die Kunststofflinse mit dem UV-Absorbens infiltriert.
- Das Zentrum der so erhaltenen Linse (Dicke: 1,6 mm) wies einen YI von 1,0 auf. Die Linse war leicht gelblich, die UV-Durchlässigkeit bei 385 nm betrug 5%, und das UV-Abschneidvermögen war gut. Die spektrale Durchlässigkeitskurve der Linse ist in
1 dargestellt. - Vergleichsbeispiel 1
- In gleicher Weise wie in Beispiel 1 wurde eine Linse hergestellt, mit der Ausnahme, dass die verwendete Lösung des UV-Rbsorbens durch Zugabe von 7,5 g 2-(2-Hydroxy-5-methylphenyl)benzotriazol und von 10 mL Nikka Sunsalt 7000 (nicht-ionisches oberflächenaktives Mittel von Nikka Chemical) zu 1 L Wasser hergestellt wurde.
- Das Zentrum der so erhaltenen Linse (Dicke: 2,2 mm) wies einen YI von 0,8 auf. Die Linse war fast farblos, aber die UV-Durchlässigkeit bei 385 nm betrug 58%. Die Linse wies kein UV-Abschneidvermögen auf. Die spektrale Durchlässigkeitskurve der Linse ist in
2 dargestellt. - Vergleichsbeispiel 2
- In gleicher Weise wie in Beispiel 1 wurde eine Linse hergestellt, mit der Ausnahme, dass die verwendete Lösung des UV-Absorbens durch Zugabe von 7,5 g 2,2'-Dihydroxy-4-methoxybenzophenon und von 10 mL Nikka Sunsalt 7000 (nicht-ionisches oberflächenaktives Mittel von Nikka Chemical) zu 1 L Wasser zubereitet wurde und die Verarbeitungszeit 5 min betrug.
- Das Zentrum der so erhaltenen Linse (Dicke: 2,2 mm) wies einen YI von 1,8 auf. Die Linse war leicht gelblich, die UV-Durchlässigkeit bei 385 nm betrug 10%, und das UV-Abschneidvermögen war gut. Allerdings war die hierbei erhaltene Linse gegenüber den in den Beispielen erhaltenen Linsen bezüglich des YI und der UV-Durchlässigkeit unterlegen. Die spektrale Durchlässigkeitskurve der Linse ist in
2 dargestellt. - Vergleichsbeispiel 3
- In gleicher Weise wie in Beispiel 1 wurde eine Linse hergestellt, mit der Ausnahme, dass die verwendete Lösung des UV-Absorbens durch Zugabe von 7,5 g 2,2',4,4'-Tetrahydroxybenzophenon und von 10 mL Nikka Sunsalt 7000 (nicht-ionisches oberflächenaktives Mittel von Nikka Chemical) zu 1 L Wasser zubereitet wurde und die Verarbeitungszeit 5 min betrug.
- Das Zentrum der so erhaltenen Linse (Dicke: 2,2 mm) wies einen YI von 1,5 auf. Die Linse war leicht gelblich, die UV-Durchlässigkeit bei 385 nm betrug 4%, und das UV-Abschneidvermögen war gut. Allerdings war die hierbei erhaltene Linse gegenüber den in den Beispielen erhaltenen Linsen bezüglich des YI unterlegen. Die spektrale Durchlässigkeitskurve der Linse ist in
2 dargestellt. - Vergleichsbeispiel 4
- In gleicher weise wie in Beispiel 6 wurde eine Linse hergestellt, mit der Ausnahme, dass die verwendete Lösung des UV-Absorbens durch Zugabe von 7,5 g 2,2'-Dihydroxy-4-methoxybenzophenon und von 10 mL Nikka Sunsalt 7000 (nicht-ionisches oberflächenaktives Mittel von Nikka Chemical) zu 1 L Wasser zubereitet wurde und die Verarbeitungszeit 15 min betrug.
- Das Zentrum der so erhaltenen Linse (Dicke: 1,6 mm) wies einen YI von 1,6 auf. Die Linse war leicht gelblich, die UV-Durchlässigkeit bei 385 nm betrug 5%, und das UV-Abschneidvermögen war gut. Allerdings war die hierbei erhaltene Linse gegenüber den in den Beispielen erhaltenen Linsen bezüglich des YI unterlegen. Die spektrale Durchlässigkeitskurve der Linse ist in

Claims (5)
- Verfahren zur Herstellung von Kunststofflinsen, welches das Eintauchen von Poly(thio)urethan-Linsen oder Linsen eines Polymers vom Diethylenglycolbisallylcarbonat-Typ in eine Lösung umfaßt, die mindestens eine Verbindung enthält, die ausgewählt ist aus Dibenzoylmethan-Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel (1): worin R und R' jeweils eine lineare oder verzweigte C1-8-Alkylgruppe oder eine lineare oder verzweigte C1-8-Alkoxygruppe bedeuten; und n und n' unabhängig 0 oder eine ganze Zahl von 1 bis 3 sind; und Benzotriazol-Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel (2): worin R'' ein Wasserstoffatom, ein Chloratom oder ein Bromatom bedeutet; und m und m' jeweils 1 oder 2 bedeuten.
- Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 1, bei dem die in die Lösung eingetauchten Linsen anschließend einer Wärmebehandlung unterzogen werden.
- Kunststofflinse, umfassend eine Poly(thio)urethan-Linse oder eine Linse eines Polymers vom Diethylenglycolbisallylcarbonat-Typ mit mindestens einer Verbindung, ausgewählt aus Dibenzoylmethan-Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel (1) und Benzotriazol-Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel (2), wie in Anspruch 1 definiert, an oder in der Nähe ihrer Oberfläche.
- Kunststofflinse gemäß Anspruch 3 mit einer Vergilbungszahl (YI) von 0,8 bis 1,2 und einem UV-Transmissionsgrad bei 385 nm von 1 bis 4%, wenn er in der Mitte der Linse mit einer Dicke von 1,8 bis 2,2 mm gemessen wird.
- Verwendung einer Kunststofflinse gemäß mindestens einem der Ansprüche 3 bis 4 für die Herstellung von UV-absorbierenden Brillengläsern.
