Da es sich bei den erfindungsgemässen Farbstoffen
um Pigmente handelt, sind wasserlöslichmachende Gruppen, insbesondere saure wasserlöslichmachende Gruppen, wie Sulfonsäure-
oder Carbonsäuregruppen, selbstverständlich ausgeschlossen.
Als Diazokomponenten verwendet man vorzugsweise Verbindungen
der Formel
worin ein Z eine Aminogruppe und das andere ein H- oder Halogenatom, eine Alkyl- oder Alkoxygruppe enthaltend 1-4 C-Atome
bedeutet.

Bei diesen Diazokomponenten handelt es sich um bekannte Verbindungen.
Als Kupplungskomponente sei insbesondere die Barbitursäure genannt; daneben kommen auch deren funktionelle Derivate
in Betracht, beispielsweise die Thio- und Iminoderivate der Formel

Diese Barbitursäurederivate stellen bekannte Ver-
bmdungen dar.
Die Kupplung findet zweckmässig durch allmähliche Zugabe der wässrigen Diazoniumsalzlösung zur Lösung der Kupplungskomponente
in einem mit Wasser mischbaren organischen Lösungsmittel wie z.B. Dimethylformamid oder durch allmähliche Zugabe der wässerigalkalischen Lösung der Kupplungskomponente zur sauren Lösung des
Diazoniumsalzes statt. Die Kupplung wird zweckmässig bei einem
pH-Wert von 4 bis 6 durchgeführt.
Der pH-Wert wird vorteilhaft durch Zugabe eines Puffers
eingestellt. Als Puffer kommen z.B. die Salze, insbesondere Alkalisalze der Ameisensäure, Phosphorsäure oder insbesondere
der Essigsäure in Betracht. Die alkalische Lösung der Kupplungskomponente enthält zweckmässig ein Netz-, Dispergier-
oder Emulgiermittel, beispielsweise ein Aralkylsulfonat,- wie Dodecylbenzolsulfonat oder das Natriumsalz der l,l'-NaphthylmethansuIfonsäure,
Polykondensationsprodukte von Alkylenoxyden, wie das Einwirkungsprodükt von Aethylenoxyd auf p-tert.-Octylphenyl,
ferner Alkylester von Sulforicinoleaten, beispielsweise
n-Butylsulforicinoleat. Die Dispersion der Kupplungskomponente
kann auch vorteilhaft Schutzkolloide, beispielsweise Methylcellulose
oder kleinere Mengen inerter, in Wasser schwerlöslicher oder unlöslicher organische Lösungsmittel enthalten, beispielsweise
gegebenenfalls halogenierte oder nitrierte aromatische Kohlenwasserstoffe, wie Benzol, Toluol, Xylol, Chlorbenzol,
Dichlorbenzol oder Nitrobenzol, sowie aliphatische Halogenkohlenwasserstoffe wie z.B. Tetrachlorkohlenstoff oder

Trichloräthylen, ferner mit Wasser mischbare organische
Lösungsmittel, wie Aceton, MethylathyIketon, Methanol, Aethanol
oder Isopropanol, insbesondere Dimethylformamid.
Dank ihrer Unlöslichkeit können die erhaltenen Pigmente
aus den Reaktionsgemischen durch Abfiltrieren isoliert
werden. Es erweist sich als vorteilhaft, die erhaltenen Pigmente mit einem vorzugsweise über 100° C siedenden, organischen
Lösungsmittel nachzubehandeln. Als besonders geeignete erweisen sich durch Halogenatome, Alkyl- oder Nitrogruppen substituierte
Benzole, wie Xylole, Chlorbenzol, ο-Dichlorbenzol oder Nitrobenzol
sowie Pyridinbasen, wie Pyridin, Picolin oder Chinolin,
ferner Ketone, wie Cyclohexanon, Aether, wie Aethylenglycolmonomethyl-
oder -monoäthylather, Amide, wie Dimethylformamid oder
K-Methyl-pyrrolidon sowie Dimethylsulfoxyd.
Die Nachbehandlung erfolgt vorzugsweise durch Erhitzen des Pigmentes im Lösungsmittel auf 100 bis 250° C, wobei
in vielen Fällen eine Kornvergröberung eintritt, was sich günstig
auf die Licht- und Migrationsechtheit der erhaltenen Pigmente auswirkt.
Man kann die Kupplung auch vorteilhaft in der Weise durchführen, dass man eine saure Lösung des Diazoniumsalzes mit
einer alkalischen Lösung der Kupplungskomponente in einer Mischdüse kontinuierlich vereinigt, wobei eine sofortige Kupplung
der Komponenten erfolgt. Die entstandene Färbstoffdispersion
wird der Mischdrüse laufend entzogen und der Earbstoff durch Filtrieren abgetrennt.

Anstelle der Diazoniumsalze kann man auch die entsprechenden Diazoaminoverbindungen verwenden. Diese erhält man
nach bekanntem Verfahren durch Kupplung eines Aryldiazoniutnsalzes
mit einem primären oder vorzugsweise mit einem sekundären Amin. Für diesen Zweck eignen sich die verschiedensten Amine,
beispielsweise aliphatisch^ Amine, wie Methylamin, Aethylamin, Aethanolamin, Propylamin, Butylamin, Hexylamin und insbesondere
Dimethylamin, Diäthylamin, Diäthanolamin, Methyläthanolamin, Dipropylamin
oder Dibutylamin, Aminoessigsäure, Methylaminoessigsäure,
Butylaminoessigsäure, Aminäthansulfonsäure, Methylaminoäthansulfonsäure,
Guanyläthansulfonsäure, ß-Aminoäthylschwefelsäure,
alicyclische Amine, wie Cyclohexylamin, N-Methylcyclohexylamin,
Dicyclohexylamin, aromatische Amine, wie 4-Aminobenzoesäure, Sulfanilsäure, 4-Sulfo-2-aminobenzoesäure, (4-Sulfophenyl)-guanidin,
4-N-Methylaminobenzoesäure, 4-Aethylaminobenzoesäure,
l-Aminonaphthalin-4-sulfonsäure, 1-Aminonaphtalin-2,4—disulfonsäure,
heterocyclische Amine, wie Piperidin, Morpholin, Pyrrolidin, Dihydroindol und schliesslich auch Natriumcyanamid
oder Dicyandiamid.
In der Regel sind die erhaltenen Diazoaminoverbindungen in kaltem Wasser schwerlöslich und können gegebenenfalls
nach Aussalzen in kristallisierter Form aus dem Reaktionsmedium abgetrennt werden. In vielen Fällen können die feuchten
Presskuchen für die weitere Umsetzung verwendet werden.

In einzelnen Fällen kann es sich als zweckmässig erweisen, die Diazoamide vorgängig der Umsetzung durch Vakuumtrocknung zu
entwässern.
Die Kupplung der Diazoaminoverbindungen mit der Kupplungskomponente
erfolgt in einem organischen Lösungsmittel, beispielsweise Chlorbenzol, o-Dichlorbenzol, Nitrobenzol,
Pyridin, Aethylenglycol, Aethylenglycolmonoäthyl oder -monoethjrlather,
Dimethylformamid, Ameisensäure oder Essigsäure.
Bei Verwendung von Lösungsmitteln, die mit Wasser mischbar sind, ist es nicht nötig, die Diazoaminoverbindungen
in wasserfreier Form zu verwenden. Es können beispielsweise die wässerig-feuchten Nutschkuchen verwendet werden.
Die Kupplung wird zweckmässig in der Wärme, vorzugsweise bei Temperaturen zwischen 80 bis 180° C, in saurem Medium
durchgeführt und verläuft im allgemeinen sehr rasch und vollständig. Verwendet man neutrale Lösungsmittel, so ist die
Zugabe einer Säure, beispielsweise Chlorwasserstoff, Schwefelsäure, Ameisensäure oder Essigsäure von Vorteil. Dank ihrer Unlöslichkeit
können die erhaltenen Pigmente aus dem Reaktionsgemisch durch Abfiltrieren isoliert werden. Eine Nachbehandlung
mit organischen Lösungsmitteln, wie dies bei Pigmenten erforderlich ist, die auf dem wässrigen Kupplungsweg erhalten werden,
ist daher in den meisten Fällen unnötig.
Schliesslich kann die Kupplung auch so vollzogen werden, dass man das zu diazotierende Amin mit der Kupplungskom-

ponente im Molverhältnis 1 : 1 in einem organischen Lösungsmittel suspendiert und mit einem diazotierenden Mittel, insbesondere
einem Ester der salpetrigen Säure, wie Methyl-, Aethyl-, Butyl-, Amyl- oder Oktylnitrit behandelt.
Die neuen Farbstoffe stellen wertvolle Pigmente dar, welche in feinverteilter Form zum Pigmentieren von hochmolekularem
organischem Material verwendet werden können, z.B. CeI-luloseäthern
und estern, wie Aethy!cellulose, Nitrocellulose, Celluloseacetat, Cellulosebutyrat, natürlichen Harzen oder
Kunstharzen, wie Polymerisationsharzen oder Kondensationsharzen, z.B. Aminoplasten, insbesondere Harnstoff- und Melamin-Formaldehydharzen,
Alkydharzen, Phenoplasten, Polycarbonaten, Polyolefinen, wie Polystyrol, Polyvinylchlorid, Polyäthylen, Polypropylen,
Polyacrylnitril, Polyacrylsäureester, Polyamiden, Polyurethanen oder Polyester, Gummi, Casein, Silikon und Silikonharzen,
einzeln oder in Mischungen.
Dabei ,spielt es keine Rolle, ob die erwähnten hochmolekularen
Verbindungen als plastische Massen, Schmelzen oder in Form von Spinnlösungen, Lacken, Anstrichstoffen oder Druckfarben
vorliegen. Je nach Verwendungszweck erweist es sich als, vorteilhaft, die neuen Pigmente als Toner oder in Form von
Präparaten zu verwenden.
In den nachfolgenden Beispielen bedeuten die Teile, sofern nichts anderes angegeben wird, Gewichtsteile, die
Prozente Gewichtsprozente, und die Temperaturen sind in Celsiusgraden

Beispiele 1-9
20,85 Teile 4-Methyl-6-amino-7-chlor-chinolon-(2) werden in einem Gemisch von 400 Volumteilen Eisessig, 400
Volumteilen Wasser und 25 Volumteilen cone. Salzsäure bei 0-5° C in ca. 15 Minuten mit 25 Volumteilen 4n-Natriumnitritlösung
diazotiert. Dann giesst man diese Diazolösung in dünnem Strahl zu einer Lösung von 12,8 Teilen Barbitursäure in 1000
Volumteilen Dimethylformamid, welcher man noch 30 Teile wasserfreies Natriumacetat zugegeben hat. Die Kupplung erfolgt sofort.
Man rührt noch einige Stunden bei Raumtemperatur nach, filtriert dann das gebildete Pigment ab, wäscht es mit heissem Wasser und
Methanol und trocknet es. Man erhält 30 Teile eines harten, orangefarbenen Produktes.
Zur Gewinnung eines coloristisch brauchbaren Pigmentes wird das Kupplungsprodukt in 1300 Volumteilen N-Methylpyrrolidon
während 30 Minuten zum Sieden erhitzt. Nach dem Erkalten wird das Pigment durch Filtration abgetrennt, mit Methanol gewaschen
und getrocknet. Man erhält 27 Teile eines gelben, weichen Pigmentpulvers. Das Pigment hat die folgende Konstitution:

Es färbt Polyvinylchlorid in sehr farbstarkem,· reinem gelbem
Ton mit sehr guter Migrations- und gWter Licht-Echtheit.

65 Teile stabilisiertes Polyvinylchlorid, 35 Teile Dioctylphthalat und 0,2 Teile des gemäss Beispiel 1 erhaltenen
Farbstoffes werden miteinander verrührt und dann auf einem Zweiwalzenkalander während 7 Minuten bei 140° C hin- und hergewalzt.
Man erhält eine gelb gefärbte Folie von sehr guter Licht- und Migrationsechtheit.
1,00 g des nach Beispiel 1 hergestellten Pigments wird mit 4,00 g Druckfirnis der Zusammensetzung
29,4 % Leinöl-Standöl (300 Poise),
67,2 % Leinöl-Standöl ( 20 Poise),
67,2 % Leinöl-Standöl ( 20 Poise),
2,1 % Kobaltoctoat (8 % Co) und
1,3 % Bleioctoat (24 % Pb)
auf einer Engelsmann-Anreibmaschine fein angerieben und hierauf mit Hilfe eines Klischees im Buchdruckverfahren mit 1 g/m
auf Runstdruckpapier gedruckt. Man erhält einen starken, reinen Gelbton mit guter Transparenz und gutem Glanz. Im Drei- oder
Vierfarbendruck lassen sich durch Ueb ereinander drucken auf Blau sehr brillante Grüntöne erzeugen.
Das Pigment eignet sich auch für andere Druckverfahren, wie Tiefdruck, Offsetdruck, Flexodruck, und ergibt hier ebenfalls

Claims (1)
- Pa tentansprücheMonoazopigmente der Formelworin X ein O- oder S-Atom oder eine Imino gruppe, Y ein O-Atom oder eine Imino gruppe, X-» und Y-t H- oder Halogenatome, Alkyl- oder Alkoxygruppen enthaltendl-4 C-Atome, bedeuten.Monoazopigmente gemäss Anspruch 1 der Formelworin einer der Reste Z eine Gruppe der Formel0 H0 H409847/1054und der andere ein H- oder Halogenatom, eine Alkyl- oder Alkoxygruppc enthaltend 1-4 C-Atome bedeutet.3. Verfahren zur Herstellung von Monoazopigmenten der FormelO H4-K - N-/ N=■worin X ein O- oder S-Atom oder ein Iminogruppe, Y ein 0-AtOHi oder eine Iminogruppe, X, und Y1 H- oder Halogenatome, Alkyl- oder Alkoxygruppen enthalten 1-4 C-Atome, bedeuten, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man eine Diazoverbindung eines Amins der FormelCH.mit einer Verbindung der FormelY Hkuppelt.409 847/10544. Verfahren gemMss Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man als Diazokomponente ein Amin der FormelJlverwendet, worin einer der Reste Z, eine Aminogruppe und der andere ein H- oder Halogenatom, eine Alkyl- oder Alkoxygruppe enthaltend 1-4 C-Atome bedeutet.5. Verfahren gemäss Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man als Kupplungskomponente Barbitursäure verwendet.6. Verfahren zum Färben von hochmolekularem organischem Material, gekennzeichnet durch die Verwendung der Farbstoffe gemäss Anspruch 1.7. Hochmolekulares organisches Material pigmentiert mit Farbstoffen gemäss Anspruch 1.409847/1054
