Description
- Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft basische Azoverbindungen, deren Herstellung und Verwendung.
- Basische Azoverbindungen vom Typ der erfindungsgemässen Verbindungen sind z.B. in
DE 3 538 517 ,DE 3 609 590 oderEP 0 092 520 beschrieben. Sie unterscheiden sich allerdings von den erfindungsgemässen Verbindungen durch die Substituenten am Pyridonring. Überraschenderweise wurde nun gefunden, dass die erfindungsgemässen Verbindungen besonders gute Alkohol- und Seifenwasserechtheiten und eine ausgezeichnete reduktive Bleichbarkeit aufweisen. - Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung sind demzufolge basische Azoverbindungen der Formel I worin die beiden R unabhängig voneinander H, C1–4Alkyl, C5–6Cycloalkyl, Phenyl, Benzyl oder Phenyläthyl,
T1 und T2 unabhängig voneinander H, -CN, -COOR4, CONR5R6, SO2NR5R6,
R1 einen C1–6Alkyl- oder C2–6-Alkenylenrest,
R2 und R3 unabhängig voneinander unsubstituiertes C1–6Alkyl, durch OH, CN oder Halogen substituiertes C2–6Alkylene, Phenyl-C1–3alkyl, dessen Phenylrest gegebenenfalls durch 1 bis 3 Substituenten aus der Reihe Chlor, C1–4Alkyl oder C1–4Alkoxy substituiert sein kann, unsubstituiertes oder durch 1 bis 3 C1–4Alkylgruppen substituiertes C5–6Cycloalkyl,
R4 die Bedeutungen von R2 haben kann oder Wasserstoff bedeuteut,

A– ein Anion bedeuten, und Mischungen von zwei oder mehreren der oben genannten Verbindungen. - Der Substituent R bedeutet bevorzugt R' als C1–4Alkyl und besonders bevorzugt R'' als Methyl.

- Der Substituent R1 bedeutet bevorzugt R1' als C1–6Alkyl, besonders bevorzugt R1'' als C2–3-Alkyl, am meisten bevorzugt C3-Alkyl.
- Die Substituenten R2 und R3 unabhängig voneinander bedeuten bevorzugt R2' und R3' als C1–6Alkyl, besonders bevorzugt R2'' und R3'' als Methyl.
- Der Substituent R4 bedeutet bevorzugt R4' als C1–6Alkyl oder Wasserstoff, besonders bevorzugt R4'' als Wasserstoff oder Methyl.
- Der Substituent R5 bedeutet bevorzugt R5' als C1–6Alkyl, besonders bevorzugt R5'' als C1–2-Alkyl.
- Die Substituenten R6 und R7 unabhängig voneinander bedeuten bevorzugt R6' und R7' als C1–4Alkyl, besonders bevorzugt R6'' und R6'' als Wasserstoff.
- Der Substituent R8 bedeutet bevorzugt R8' als Wasserstoff oder C1–4Alkylrest, besonders bevorzugt R8'' als Wasserstoff oder Methyl.

- Der Substituent R11 bedeutet bevorzugt R11' als Methyl.
m ist bevorzugt null.
X steht bevorzugt für X2, X6, X6a, X7, X8 oder X9, besonders bevorzugt für X6 und X6a. -
- Besonders bevorzugte Azoverbindungen entsprechen der Formel Ia, worin R' für R'', T1' für T1'', T2' für T2'', R1' für R1'', R2 für R2'' und R4' für R4'' in der oben angegebenen Bedeutung steht und X für X6 und X6a steht.

- Ein weiteres Verfahren zur Herstellung von Verbindungen der Formel I ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man 1 Mol einer Diazoverbindung aus einer Aminoverbindung der Formel V worin Y -NO2 oder -NH-Acyl bedeutet,
mit 1 Mol einer Kupplungskomponente der Formel III oder IV kuppelt, in der erhaltenen Monoazoverbindung die Nitrogruppe reduziert oder die Acylaminogruppe verseift, die er haltene Aminoazoverbindung diazotiert und mit einer Kupplungskomponente der Formel III oder IV zu einer Azoverbindung der Formel I kuppelt. - Die Kupplung kann nach an sich bekannten Methoden durchgeführt werden, vorteilhaft in wässrigem Medium, gegebenenfalls in Anwesenheit eines organischen Lösungsmittels, bei Temperaturen von etwa -10°C bis Raumtemperatur, gegebenenfalls in Gegenwart eines Kupplungsbeschleunigers wie Pyridin, Harnstoff, usw.. Sowohl die Reduktion der Nitrogruppe als auch die Verseifung der Acylaminogruppe können nach an sich bekannten Methoden durchgeführt werden; auch die Diazotierung erfolgt nach an sich bekannten Methoden.
- Die Ausgangsverbindungen der Formeln II, III, IV oder V sind bekannt oder können nach an sich bekannten Methoden hergestellt werden.
- In den Verbindungen der Formel I lässt sich das Anion A ⊝ durch andere Anionen austauschen, z.B. mit Hilfe eines Ionenaustauschers oder durch Umsetzen mit Salzen oder Säuren, gegebenenfalls in mehreren Stufen, z.B. über das Hydroxid oder über das Bicarbonat oder gemäss den in den deutschen Offenlegungsschriften
DE 2.001.748 oderDE 2.001.816 beschriebenen Verfahren. - Als Anion A⊝ sind sowohl organische wie anorganische Ionen zu verstehen wie z.B. Halogen-, wie Chlorid- oder Bromid-, ferner Sulfat-, Bisulfat-, Methylsulfat, Aminosulfat-, Perchlorat-, Benzolsulfonat-, Oxalat-, Maleinat-, Acetat-, Propionat-, Lactat-, Succinat-, Tartrat-, Malat-, Methansulfonat- oder Benzoationen oder komplexe Anionen, wie das von Chlorzinkdoppelsalzen, ferner Anionen der folgenden Säuren: Borsäure, Citronensäure, Glycolsäure, Diglycolsäure oder Adipinsäure oder Additionsprodukte von ortho-Borsäure mit Polyalkoholen, wie z.B. cis-Polyolen.
- Die erhaltenen neuen Verbindungen können unmittelbar als Farbstoffe verwendet werden oder können in Form von wässrigen, z.B. konzentrierten stabilen Lösungen oder in Form ihrer Granulate in quaternierter Form und/oder der entsprechenden Salze von Mineralsäuren oder organischen Säuren zum Färben von Fasergut aller Art, von Cellulose, Baumwolle oder Leder, jedoch insbesondere von Papier oder Papierprodukten verwendet werden.
- Eine günstige Zusammensetzung solcher flüssiger Präparate ist beispielsweise die folgende (Teile bedeuten Gewichtsteile):
100 Teile einer Verbindung der Formel I als Säureadditionssalz oder als quaternäres Ammoniumsalz,
1-100 Teile vorzugsweise 1-10 Teile eines anorganischen Salzes,
1-100 Teile einer organischen Säure wie Ameisen-, Essig-, Milch-, Citronensäure, Propion-, Methoxyaceticsäure,
100-800 Teile Wasser,
0-500 Teile eines Lösungsvermittlers (z.B. Glykole wie Diäthylenglykol, Triäthylenglykol, Hexylenglykol; Glykoläther wie Methylcellosolve, Methylcarbitol, Butylpolyglykol; Harnstoff, Formamid, Dimethylformamid). - Ebenso können die Verbindung der Formel I auf an sich bekannte Weise zu festen, bevorzugt granulierten Färbepräparate verarbeitet werden, vorteilhaft durch Granulieren wie in der fränzösischen Patentschrift
FR 1.581.900 - Eine günstige Zusammensetzung für feste Präparate ist beispielsweise die folgende (Teile bedeuten Gewichtsteile):
100 Teile einer Verbindung der Formel I als Säureadditionssalz oder als quaternäres Ammoniumsalz,
1-100 Teile vorzugsweise 1-10 Teile eines anorganischen Salzes,
0-800 Teile eines Stellmittels (vorzugsweise nichtionogen wie Dextrin, Zucker, Traubenzucker oder Harnstoff). - In der festen Präparation kann noch bis zu 10% an Restfeuchtigkeit vorhanden sein.
- Die Farbstoffe können auch bei der Herstellung von in der Masse gefärbtem, geleimtem und ungeleimtem Papier eingesetzt werden. Sie können ebenfalls zum Färben von Papier nach dem Tauchverfahren angewendet werden.
- Das Färben von Papier, Leder oder Cellulose erfolgt nach bekannten Methoden.
- Die neuen Farbstoffe oder ihre Präparationen färben das Abwasser bei der Papierherstellung praktisch gar nicht oder nur wenig an, was für die Reinhaltung der Gewässer besonders günstig ist. Sie sind hoch substantiv, melieren auf Papier gefärbt nicht und sind weitgehend pH-unempfindlich. Die Färbungen auf Papier zeichnen sich durch gute Lichtechtheitseigenschaften aus. Nach längerem Belichten ändert sich die Nuance Ton-in-Ton.
- Die gefärbten Papiere sind nassecht, insbesondere zu erwähnen sind die ausgezeichnete Alkoholechtheit und Seifenwasserechtheit. Auch die reduktive Bleichbarkeit des gefärbten Papiers ist besonders gut.
- In den folgenden Beispielen bedeuten die Teile Gewichtsteile, die Prozente Gewichtsprozente; die Temperaturen sind in Celsiusgraden angegeben.
- Beispiel 1
- 45,4 g 4,3'-Diaminobenzanilid (0,2 Mol) werden nach bekannter Methode, salzsauer bei 0-5°C mit 27,6 g Natriumnitrit (0,4 Mol) tetrazotiert. Zu dieser Tetrazolösung werden in 3 Stunden bei 5-10°C und einem pH-Wert von 1,5 kontinuierlich 41,2 g (0,2 Mol) 6-Hydroxy-4-methyl-1-(3'-methylamino)-propyl-pyridon-(2) gegeben. Man erhält den asymmetrischen Farbstoff der Formel:

- Der λmax-Wert dieses Farbstoffs beträgt 435 nm. Durch Fällen auf 230 g Natronlauge (30%) wird der Farbstoff in die Betainbase übergeführt und abfiltriert. In essigsaurer Lösung färbt er Papier in brillanten gelben Tönen.
- Auf gleiche Weise wie in Beispiel 1 beschrieben, indem die entsprechenden Ausgangsverbindungen verwendet werden, können die in der folgenden Tabelle 1 bis 4 angegebenen Beispiele 2 bis 69 der Formel 1 erhalten werden. In den Tabellen ist das Atom, welches an den Ring D1 gebunden ist, mit "*" gekennzeichnet.
- Beispiel 70
- 45,4 g 4,3'-Diaminobenzanilid (0,2 Mol) werden nach bekannter Methode, salzsauer bei 0-5°C mit 27,6 g Natriumnitrit (0,4 Mol) tetrazotiert. Zu dieser Tetrazolösung werden in drei Stunden bei 5-10°C und einem pH-Wert von 1.5 kontinuierlich 49,0 g (0,25 Mol) 6-Hydroxy-4-methyl-1-(3'-methylamino)-propyl-pyridon-(2) gegeben. Nach beendeter Kupplung werden zu dieser gelben Farbstoffsuspension innerhalb einer Stunde bei einem pH-Wert von ca. 1.5 kontinuierlich 43,3 g (0,15 Mol) 6-Hydroxy-4-methyl-1-(3'-dimethylamino)-propyl-pyridonyl-(3)-pyridinium-betainbase gegeben. Anschliessend wird mit 75 g Natriumacetat ein pH-Wert von 2.4-2.6 eingestellt. Durch Fällen auf 230 g Natronlauge (30%) wird der Farbstoff in die Betainbase überführt und abfiltriert. Man erhält den Farbstoff der Formel: und
- Der λmax-Wert dieses Farbstoffs beträgt 435 nm. In essigsaurer Lösung färbt er Papier in brillanten gelben Tönen.
- Die vorstehend angeführten Kupfer-Phthalocyaninfarbstoffe sind beispielsweise aus den folgenden Offenlegungs- bzw. Patentschriften bekannt:

US-PS 3,784,599 und 4,448,722. - Applikationsmöglichkeiten der beschriebenen Farbstoffe und Farbstoffgemische sowie der flüssig-wässrigen Färbepräparate sind in den folgenden Vorschriften illustriert:
- Färbevorschrift A
- In einem Holländer werden 70 Teile chemisch gebleichte Sulfitcellulose aus Nadelholz und 30 Teile chemisch gebleichte Sulfitcellulose aus Birkenholz in 2000 Teilen Wasser gemahlen. Zu dieser Masse streut man 0,2 Teile des Farbstoffes aus Beispiel 70. Nach 10 Minuten Mischzeit wird daraus Papier hergestellt. Das auf diese Weise erhaltene saugfähige Papier ist in allen Fällen brillant-gelb gefärbt. Das Abwasser ist praktisch farblos.
- Färbevorschrift B
- 0,2 Teile des Farbstoffpulvers aus Beispiel 70 werden in 100 Teilen heissem Wasser gelöst und auf Raumtemperatur abgekühlt. Die Lösung gibt man zu 100 Teilen chemisch gebleichter Sulfitcellulose, die mit 2000 Teilen Wasser in einem Holländer gemahlen wurde. Nach 15 Minuten Durchmischung wird auf übliche Art mit Harzleim und Aluminiumsulfat geleimt. Papier, das aus diesem Material hergestellt wird, zeigt eine brillant-gelbe Nuance und besitzt gute Licht- und Nassechtheiten.
- Färbevorschrift C
- Eine saugfähige Papierbahn aus ungeleimtem Papier wird bei 40-60° durch eine Farbstofflösung folgender Zusammensetzung gezogen:
0,3 Teile des Farbstoffes aus Beispiel 70 0,5 Teile Stärke und 99,0 Teile Wasser. - Die überschüssige Farbstofflösung wird durch zwei Walzen abgepresst. Die getrocknete Papierbahn ist jeweils brillant-gelb gefärbt.
- Auf analoge Weise, wie in den Vorschriften A bis C angeführt, kann auch mit den Farbstoffen der Beispiele 1-69, oder Präparationen davon, gefärbt werden. Die erhaltenen Papierfärbungen haben ein hohes Echtheitsniveau.
- Färbevorschrift D
- 100 Teile gegerbtes und neutralisiertes Chromnarbenleder werden in einer Flotte aus 250 Teilen Wasser von 55° und 0,5 Teilen des nach Beispiel 70 hergestellten Farbstoffes (als Säureadditionssalz) während 30 Minuten im Fass gewalkt und im gleichen Bad mit 2 Teilen eines anionischen Fettlickers auf sulfonierter Tranbasis während weiterer 30 Minuten behandelt. Die Leder werden in der üblichen Art getrocknet und zugerichtet. Man erhält egal gefärbtes Leder in brillant-gelben Tönen. Weitere niederaffine, vegetabil nachgegerbte Leder können ebenfalls nach bekannten Methoden gefärbt werden.
- Auf analoge Weise kann mit den Farbstoffen der Beispiele 1-69 gefärbt werden.
- Färbevorschrift E/Massefärben von Papier
- Ein aus 60% Holzschliff und 40% ungebleichtem Sulfitzellstoff bestehender Trockenstoff wird im Holländer mit so viel Wasser angeschlagen und bis zum Mahlgrad 40° SR (Grad Schopper-Riegler) gemahlen, dass der Trockengehalt etwas über 2,5% liegt; anschliessend wird mit Wasser auf exakt 2,5% Trockengehalt an Dickstoff eingestellt. 200 Teile dieses Dickstoffes werden mit 5 Teilen einer 0,25%igen wässrigen Lösung des Farbstoffes gemäss Beispiel 70 versetzt und ca. 5 Minuten verrührt. Nach Zugabe von 2% Harzleim und 4% Alaun (bezogen auf Trockenstoff) wird wiederum einige Minuten homogen verrührt.
- Man verdünnt die Masse mit ca. 500 Teilen Wasser auf 700 Teile und stellt hieraus in bekannter Weise durch Absaugen über einen Blattbildner Papierblätter her. Die Papierblätter weisen eine brillant-gelbe Färbung auf.
- Auf analoge Weise, wie in Vorschrift E angeführt, kann auch mit den Farbstoffen der Beispiele 1-69 gefärbt werden. In allen Fällen ist das Abwasser praktisch farblos.
- Färbevorschrift F
- Ein aus 50% gebleichtem Birkensulfatzellstoff und 50% Fichtensulfatzellstoff bestehender Trockenstoff wird im Holländer mit Wasser bis zu einem Mahlgrad von 35° SR gemahlen. Man stellt mit Wasser auf 2,5% Trockengehalt an Dickstoff ein, anschliessend wird die Suspension auf pH 7 eingestellt. 200 Teile des Dickstoffs werden mit 10 Teilen einer 0,5%igen wässrigen Lösung der in Beispiel 70 angegebenen Einstellung an Farbstoffgemisch versetzt und 5 Minuten verrührt. Man verdünnt mit 500 Teilen Wasser und bildet nach bekannter Weise Papierblätter durch Absaugen über einen Blattbildner. Die Papierblätter weisen eine brillant-gelbe Färbung auf.
- Auf analoge Weise kann mit den Farbstoffen der Beispiel 1-69 gefärbt werden.
Claims (8)
- Basische Azoverbindungen der Formel I worin die beiden R unabhängig voneinander H, C1–4Alkyl, C5–6Cycloalkyl, Phenyl, Benzyl oder Phenyläthyl, T1 und T2 unabhängig voneinander H, -CN, -COOR4, CONR5R6, SO2NR5R6, R1 einen C1–6Alkyl- oder C2–6-Alkenylenrest, R2 und R3 unabhängig voneinander unsubstituiertes C1–6Alkyl, durch OH, CN oder Halogen substituiertes C2–6Alkylene, Phenyl-C1–3alkyl, unsubstituiertes oder durch 1 bis 3 C1–4Alkylgruppen substituiertes C5– 6Cycloalkyl, R4 die Bedeutungen von R2 haben kann oder Wasserstoff bedeutend, R5 einen C1–6Alkyl- oder Phenyl-C-1–3alkylrest, R6 und R7 unabhängig voneinander Wasserstoff oder C1–4Alkyl, R8 unabhängig voneinander Wasserstoff, einen C1–4Alkylrest, -NR6R7 oder -CONR6R7, R9 C1–4Alkyl oder Hydroxy-C1–4alkyl, R10 -S-, -O- oder R11 Wasserstoff oder C1–4Alkyl, R12 unabhängig voneinander Halogen, OH, C1–4Alkyl oder C1–4Alkoxy, m unabhängig voneinander 0, 1 oder 2, X1 die direkte Bindung; X2 einen geradkettigen oder verzweigten C1–4Alkylrest; X3 -NH-CS-NH-; X4 -O-; X5 -CH=CH-; X6 -*NH-CO-; X6a -NH*CO-; X7 wobei das mit * bezeichnete Atom am Ring D, gebunden ist, R13 Halogen, C1–4Alkyl oder C1–4Alkoxy, R14 einen geradkettigen oder verzweigten C1–4-Alkylenrest, R15 unabhängig voneinander Wasserstoff oder C1–4Alkyl, R16 Halogen, -NHCH2CH2OH, N(CH2CH2OH)2, NH2, OH oder -NH(CH2)2–3N(C2H5)2, und A– ein Anion bedeuten, und Mischungen von zwei oder mehreren der oben genannten Verbindungen.
- Basische Azoverbindungen der Formel 1 gemäss Anspruch 1 worin R2 und R3 unabhängig voneinander unsubstituiertes C1–6Alkyl, durch OH, CN oder Halogen substituiertes C2–6Alkylene, Phenyl-C1–3alkyl, dessen Phenylrest durch 1 bis 3 Substituenten aus der Reihe Chlor, C1–4Alkyl oder C1–4Alkoxy substituiert ist, bedeuten.
- Mischung, enthaltend eine Verbindung der Formel (1b), wie in Anspruch 5 beansprucht, und der Formel (1c), wie in Anspruch 6 beansprucht.
