Die Herstellung der neuen Disazofarbstoffe der allgemeinen Formel I erfolgt nach den in der belgischen
Patentschrift 6 94 264 für die Herstellung eyangruppenhaltiger Monoazofarbstoffe beschriebenen Verfahren,
nach welchem Halogensubstituenten aufweisende Monoazofarbstoffe unter Halogenaustausch mit Metallcyaniden
umgesetzt werden.
In Übertragung dieses Verfahrens auf Disazofarbstoffe werden zur Herstellung der cyangruppenhaltigen
Disazofarbstoffe 1 Disazofarbstoffe der allgemeinen Formel
Für die Umsetzung können die Ausgangsfarbstoffe der Formel 11 in pastöser oder bevorzugt in getrockneter
Form eingesetzt werden. Air organische Reaktionsmedien eignen sich insbesondere polare aprotische
5 organische Lösungsmittel, wie Dimethylsulfoxyd, Formamid, Dimethylformamid, Dimethylacetamid, N-Methylpyrrolidon,
Pyridin, Chinolin. Acetonitril, Benzoniinl und Phosphorsäure-tris-dimethylamid. Geringe Mengen
Wasser stören die Reaktion nicht.
ο Geeignete CuCN bildende Verbindungen sind Mischungen aus Alkalicyaniden und geeigneten Kupfer( 11)-salzen,
wie Kupfer(ll)-sulfat oder Kupfer(U)-acetat, zum Reaktionsmedium.
Die Umsetzungstemperatur kann in weiten Bereichen S variieren. Sie richtet sich nach der Natur des
organischen Mediums und insbesondere der Konstitution des Ausgangsfarbstoffes Vl. Im allgemeinen liegt
die Temperatur zwischen etwa 20 und 220"C, wobei Temperaturen zwischen 25 und 1500C bevorzugt sind.
ίο Die Umsetzung kann im einzelnen derart durchgeführt
werden, daß die Ausgangsfarbstoffe I! mit dem
KuDfe:-;i)-cyanid, oder den Kupfer(l)-cyanid-ausbildenden
Verbindungen im organischen Medium gelöst oder
suspendiert und erforderlichenfalls auf erhöhte Tenipe
2s ratur erwärmt weiden. Der Ablauf der Reaktion kann
papier- oder dünnschichichromaiographisch k«»titt · ·!-
lien werden. Nach Beendigung der Reaktion lassen sich
die Umsetzungsprodukte beispielsweise mit Wasser ausfällen. Überschüssiges Kupfer(l)-cyariid oder Kup
fer(l)-halogenid können von den erhaltenen Reaktionsprodukten durch Überführung in wasserlösliche Komplexsalze
nach bekannten Methoden abgetrennt werden, z. B. mit Hilfe von Ammoniak oder Alkalicyaniden
oder durch Oxydation von Kupfer(l)-salzen zu wasserlöslichen Kupfer(II)-salzen, beispielsweise mit
Eisen(IU)-chlorid.
Stehen Wi und Wj in der Formel 11 ebenfalls für
Halogensubstituenten, d.h. für Cl oder Br, können je nach Wahl der Reaktionsbedingungen und Reaktionspartner
auch diese Substituenten gegen eine Cyangruppe ausgetauscht werden.
Die als Ausgangsverbindungen verwendeten Disazofarbstoffe der Formel 11 erhält man beispielsweise in an

Um die Bildung von Diazoaminoverbindungen zu vermeiden, ist es in vielen Fällen zweckmäßig, an Stelle

33 03 191 zeigt ein erfindungsgemäßer nächstvergleich-%arer
Farbstoff den Vorteil des besseren Zieh- und Aufbauvermögens.

Das in diesem Beispiel eingesetzte 4'-Amino-2,3'-dimethyl-5'-brom-azobenzol
ist auf folgendem Weg zugänglich:
114 g 4'-Amino-23'-dimethyl-azobenzol werden in 500 ml Methanol angerührt und unter Außenkühlung
mit Wasser bei 25 bis 30°C tropfenweise mit 27 ml Brom
versetzt. Nach Rühren über Nacht wird der Niederschlag abgesaugt und mit Wasser neutral gewaschen.
Das so erhaltene Rohprodukt vom Schmelzpunkt 100 bis 1030C kann durch Umkristallisieren aus Isopropanol
gereinigt werden: Schmelzpunkt 111 bis 113°C.
Die Elementaranalyse ergab folgende Werte:

bei etwa 10° C diazotiert und analog Beispiel 1 auf 4,8 g Ν,Ν-Diäthyl-anilin gekuppelt. Nach dem Trocknen
