2. Verfahren zum Pigmentieren von hochmolekularem organischem Material, gekennzeichnet durch
die Verwendung der Pigmente gemäß Anspruch 1.
Es wurde gefunden, daß man zu neuen wertvollen Disazopicmenten der Formel
gelangt, worin Xi eine Methyl-, Carbomethoxy-,
Carbäthoxy-, Carbophenoxy- oder Carbobenzyloxygruppe, R eine Alkylgruppe mit 1 —4 C-Atomen, eine
Cyclohexylgruppe, eine Benzylgruppe oder eine gegebenenfalls durch Chloratome, Methoxygruppen, Alkylgruppen
mit 1—8 C-Atomen oder eine Phenylgruppe substituierten Phenylrest, X2 und X3 H- oder Chloratome,
Alkyl- oder Alkoxygruppen mit 1—2 C-Atomen oder Trifluormethylgruppen und Z ein H- oder
Bromatom oder eine Methoxygruppe bedeuten, wenn man ein Carbonsäurechlorid der Formel

Die Azofarbstoffcarbonsäuren, die den erfindungsgemäß zu verwendenden Säurechloriden zugrunde liegen,

Die erhaltenen Azofarbstoffcarbonsäuren werden mit Mitteln behandelt, die befähigt sind. Carbonsäuren in ihre Chloride überzuführen, so insbesondere mit Phosphortrichlorid oder -pentachlorid, und vorzugsweise mit Thionylchlorid.

Die Behandlung mit solchen säurechlorierenden Mitteln wird zweckmäßig in indifferenten organischen
Lösungsmitteln, wie Dimethylformamid, Chlorbenzolen, z. B. Mono- oder Dichlorbenzol, Toluol, Xylol oder
Nitrobenzol durchgeführt, bei den 5 letztgenannten gegebenenfalls unter Zusatz von Dimethylformamid.
Bei der Herstellung der Carbonsäurechloride ist es in der Regel zweckmäßig, die in wässerigem Medium
hergestellten Azoverbindungen vorerst zu trocknen oder durch Kochen in einem organischen Lösungsmittel
azeotrop von Wasser zu befreien. Die azeotrope Trocknung kann gewünschrenfalls unmittelbar vor der
Behandlung mit den säurehalogenierenden Mitteln vorgenommen werden.
Gemäß dem vorliegenden Verfahren werden die so erhältlichen Monocarbonsäurehalogenide mit den Diuminobenzolen
im Molverhältnis 2 :1 kondensiert.
Als Beispiele seien die folgenden Diaminobenzole genannt:

Die Kondensation zwischen den Carbonsäurehalogeniden der eingangs genannten Art und den Aminen wird zweckmäßig in wasserfreiem Medium durchgeführt. Unter dieser Bedingung erfolgt sie im allgemeinen überraschend lexht schon bei Temperaturen, die im Siedebereich normaler organischer Lösungsmittel, wie Toluol, Monochlorbenzol, Dichlorbenzol, Trichlorbenzol, Nitrobenzol und ähnlichen liegen. Zur Beschleunigung der Umsetzung empfiehlt es sich im allgemeinen ein säurebindendes Mittel, wie wasserfreies Natriumacetat oder Pyridin, zu verwenden. Die erhaltenen Farbstoffe sind z.T. kristallin und z.T. amorph und werden meistens in sehr guter Ausbeute und reinem Zustand erhalten. Es ist zweckmäßig, die aus den Carbonsäuren erhaltenen Säurechloride vorerst abzuscheiden. In manchen Fällen kann aber ohne Schaden auf eine Abscheidung der Säurechloride verzichtet werden und die Kondensat'on unmittelbar anschließend an die Herstellung der Carbonsäurechloride erfolgen.
Die Kondensation zwischen den Carbonsäurehalogeniden der eingangs genannten Art und den Aminen wird zweckmäßig in wasserfreiem Medium durchgeführt. Unter dieser Bedingung erfolgt sie im allgemeinen überraschend lexht schon bei Temperaturen, die im Siedebereich normaler organischer Lösungsmittel, wie Toluol, Monochlorbenzol, Dichlorbenzol, Trichlorbenzol, Nitrobenzol und ähnlichen liegen. Die neuen Farbstoffe stellen wertvolle Pigmente dar, welche für die verschiedensten Pigmentapplikationen
verwendet werden können, z. B. in feinverteiltcr Form zum Färben von Kunstseide und Viskose oder
Celluloseäthern und -estern oder von Superpolyamiden bzw. Superpolyurethanen oder Polyestern in der
Spinnmasse, sowie zur Herstellung von gefärbten Lacken oder Lackbildnern. Lösungen und Produkten
aus Acetylcellulose, Nitrocellulose, natürlichen Harzen oder Kunstharzen, wie Polymerisationsharzen oder
Kondensationsharzen, ζ. Β. Aminoplasten, Alkydharzen,
Phenoplasten, Polyolefinen, wie Polystyrol, Polyvinylchlorid, Polyäthylen, Polypropylen, Polyacrylnitril.
Gummi, Casein, Silikon und S'likonharzen. Außerdem lassen sie sich vorteilhaft bei der Herstellung von
Farbstiften, kosmetischen Präparaten oder Laminierplatten verwenden.
Gegenüber den in der DT-PS 9 21 223 beschriebenen vergleichbaren Disazopigmenten zeichnen sich die
erfindungsgemäßen durch eine bessere Lichtechtheil aus.
Gegenüber den in der DT-PS 10 66 303 erwähnten nächst vergleichbaren Pigmenten zeichnen sich die
erfindungsgemäßen durch einen brillianteren Farbton und größere Farbstärke bei Polyesterspinnfärbungen
aus.
Im nachfolgenden Beispiel bedeuten die Teile, sofern nichts anderes angegeben wird, Gewichtsteile, die
Prozente Gewichtsprozente und die Temperaturen sind in Celsiusgraden angegeben.
18,2 Teile des Azofarbstoffes aus diazotierten! 4-Methyl-3-aminobenzoesäuremethylester
und 2,3-Hydroxy- . naphthoesäure werden in 100Teilen o-Dichlorbenzol
suspendiert. Man gibt zum Gemisch 7 Teile Thionylchlorid und 0.2 Teile Dimethylformamid und erwärmt

2 Stunden unter Rühren auf 110 bis 120. Die
ausgefallene einheitlich kristalline Verbindung wird kalt abgenutscht und mit wenig o-Dichlorbenzol und Benzol
nachgewaschen. Man trocknet im Vakuum bei 50 bis 60: und erhält 17 Teile des Azofarbstoffcarbonsäurechloridsder

Ib Teile des so hergestellten Säurechlorids werden
mit 900 Teilen o-Dichlorbenzol verrührt und bei 30c mit
einer heißen Lösung von 2.7 Teilen 2,5-Dimethyl-l,4-phenylendiamin
in 300 Teilen o-Dichlorbenzol versetzt. Man erwärmt unter Rühren auf 140° und kondensiei ι
14 Stunden bei 140bis 145°. Das Reaktionsgemisch wird heiß filtriert mit heißem o-Dichlorbenzol, anschließend
mit Methanol und dann mit Wasser nachgewaschen. Nach dem Trocknen im Vakuum bei 95 bis 100c erhält
man 15.3 Teile eines weichkornigen roten Pigmentpulvers,
das Kunststoffe, wie Polyvinylchlorid, sowie Lacke in brillanten roten Tönen von ausgezeichneter Migrations-,
Überlackier- und Lichtechtheit färbt. Der Pig.Tientfarbstoff besitzt folgende Strukturformel

In der nachstehenden Tabelle dnd weitere Säure- -4? Diazokomponente und der in Kolonne II genannten
amiddern/ate von Azofarbstoffen beschrieben, welche
erhalten werden, wenn man nach den obigen Angaben zwei Moleküle des Azofarbstoffes (resp. Azofarbstoffcarbonsäurechlorids)
aus der in Kolonne I genannten Kupplungskomponente mit einem Mol des in Kolonne III genannten Diamins kondensiert. Kolonne IV
bezeichnet den Farbton einer mit dem Pigment gefärbten Polyvinylchloridfolie.
