Description

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Schweißvorrichtung für Gegenstände aus Thermoplasten, die einen Extruder zur Aufbereitung des Schweißgutes, ein. beheizbares Mundstück zur Einführung des Schweißgutes in die Nahtfuge und eine flexible Leitung aufweist, die den Extruder mit dem Mundstück verbindet.
Es ist bereits bekannt, den für das Verschweißen von Kunststoffteilen erforderlichen Zusatzwerkstoff in einem Extruder aufzubereiten und im plastischen Zustand über eine beheizte Düse zur Schweißnaht zu fördern. Dabei kann als Verbindung zwischen dem Extrudermundstück und der Düse ein flexibler Metallschlauch dienen. Diese Arbeitsweise ist zwar geeignet, um auch starkwandige Teile zu verschweißen; die Verwendung eines Metallschlauch^ als Verbindung zwischen Extruder und Schweißdüse ist aber dann nachteilig, wenn größere Entfernungen zu überbrücken sind. Dies ist vor allem dann der Fall, wenn beispielsweise in Schächten oder Gräben geschweißt werden muß, wo für das Aufstellen des Extruders kein Platz vorhanden ist. Der Metallschlauch weist, konstruktionsbedingt, zahlreiche Rillen auf, die dem plastifizierten Material einen erheblichen Fließwiderstand entgegensetzen und außerdem zu Ablagerungen Anlaß geben. Die Flexibilität des Schlauches geht durch solche Ablagerungen bald verloren. Bei Arbeitsunterbrechungen besteht außerdem die Gefahr, daß der Zusatzwerkstoff in der Leitung einfriert.
Es bestand daher die Notwendigkeit, eine Extruderschweißvorrichtung zu schaffen, mit der auch größere Entfernungen zwischen dem Extrudermundstück und der Schweißstelle überbrückt werden können, wobei die Flexibilität der Schweißgutleitung erhalten bleibt, und das Schweißgut auch bei längeren Arbeitsunterbrechungen nicht einfriert.
Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß dadurch gelöst, daß die flexible Leitung aus einem hitzebeständigen Kunststoffschlauch besteht, der eine Panzerung aus elektrisch leitendem Gewebe aufweist.
Die erfindungsgemäße Vorrichtung ermöglicht das Schweißen in engen Baugruben und in tiefen, schmalen Schächten. Die Biegsamkeit der Leitung bleibt auch bei längeren Schweißzeiten erhalten. Der Strömungswiderstand bleibt unverändert. Nach Arbeitsunterbrechungen kann sofort weitergeschweißt werden.
Beim Schweißen in Werkstätten oder unter ähnlichen Raumverhältnissen kann das Mundstück in einem feststehenden Griffstück gelagert und die Naht am Mundstück vorbeigeführt werden. Bei unregelmäßig verlaufenden Nahten und bei Rohrmontagen ist es meistens nötig oder zweckmäßiger, mit beweglichem Mundstück zu arbeiten. In diesen Fällen sind die Biegsamkeit und das Gewicht der beheizten Leitung für den Arbeitsablauf von besonderer Bedeutung.
Die Seele der Leitung kann beispielsweise aus einem Polytetrafluoräthylenschlauch bestehen und die Panzerung aus einem Metallgewebe. Das Polytetrafluoräthylen widersteht den auftretenden Temperaturen und besitzt gute Gleiteigenschaften. Das Metallgewebe läßt sich in bekannter Weise unter Zwischenschaltung eines Reglers an einen Hochstromgenerator anschließen und dient dann gleichzeitig als Heizelement. Die Führungseinrichtung kann in einem wärmeisolierten Handgriff bestehen.
Zweckmäßiger als ein einfacher Handgriff ist eine Führungseinrichtung, die ein Heizelement zur Erwärmung der Nahtfuge und ein Druckstück zum Anpressen des Stranges aufweist. Die Schweißarbeit kann mit einer derart ausgestalteten Vorrichtung einhändig ausgeführt werden.
Das in die Führungseinrichtung eingebaute Heizelement kann in einem Heizkolben bestehen, der vor dem Mundstück angeordnet ist und mit diesem an der Naht entlang geführt wird. Die Führungseinrichtung kann aber auch mit einem Warmgasgenerator als Heizelement ausgestattet sein; dies ist oft von ίο Vorteil, weil — anders als beim Heizkolben — auf die Nahtform keine Rücksicht zu nehmen ist.
Der Warmgasgenerator, auch Brenner genannt, kann unabhängig von der Führungseinrichtung vor dem Mundstück herbeigeführt werden. Durch die Verbindung von Mundstück, Brenner und Druckstück mit der Führungseinrichtung wird jedoch leichter erreicht, daß die Abstände dieser Vorrichtungsteile untereinander konstant bleiben. Die Distanz zur Naht wird dabei durch das Druckstück auf ein Mindestmaß begrenzt.
Das Druckstück kann als Spatel oder als Gleitschuh ausgebildet sein. Eine vorteilhafte und gleichmäßige λ Profilierung der Naht läßt sich erreichen, wenn das ™ Druckstück wie eine Rolle geformt und gelagert ist. In der Zeichnung ist die Vorrichtung in beispielsweiser Ausführung dargestellt.
Die flexible Leitung 1 mit Seele 2 und Panzerung 3 trägt am Austrittsende ein Mundstück 4, das in einer Führungseinrichtung 5 gehalten ist. Die Führungseinrichtung hält gleichzeitig einen Brenner 6 und ist mit einem rollenf örmigen Druckstück 7 verbunden. Das aus dem Mundstück 4 austretende Schweißgut ist mit 8 und das bereits fertige Nahtstück mit 9 bezeichnet.
Das Eintrittsende der flexiblen Leitung 1 ist an die Schneckenpresse 10 angekuppelt. Die Presse weist einen Speisetrichter 11 auf und ist über ein Regelgetriebe 12 durch einen Elektromotor 13 angetrieben.
Die elektrischen Regelkreise und die zugehörigen Teile für die flexible Leitung, für das Mundstück, für den Brenner und für die Schneckenpresse sind an sich nicht Gegenstand der Anmeldung. Zur Vereinfachung der Darstellung wurden lediglich die auf der Griffleiste 14 angebrachten Kontrollämpchen 15, 16 und 17 gezeichnet. '

Claims (4)

Patentansprüche:
1. Schweißvorrichtung für Gegenstände aus Thermoplasten, die einen Extruder zur Aufbereitung des Schweißgutes, ein beheizbares Mundstück zur Einführung des Schweißgutes in die Nahtfuge und eine flexible Leitung aufweist, die den Extruder mit dem Mundstück verbindet, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die flexible Leitung aus einem hitzebeständigen Kunststoffschlauch (2) besteht, der eine Panzerung (3) aus elektrisch leitendem Gewebe aufweist.
2. Schweißvorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der gepanzerte Kunststoffschlauch in einer Führungseinrichtung (5)
gehalten ist, die ein Heizelement (6) zur Erwärmung der Nahtfuge und ein Druckstück (7) zum Anpressen des Stranges (8) aufweist.
3. Schweißvörrichtung nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß als Heizelement (6) ein Warmgasgenerator dient.
4. Schweißvorrichtung nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Druckstock (7) wie eine Rolle geformt und gelagert ist.
