Description
- Verfahren zur Herstellung von Oligomeren von 1,3-Dienen Es ist aus der belgiechen Patentschrift 598 363 unter anderem bekannt, daß 1,3-Diene in niedere Oligomere umgewandelt werden, wenn man ein Katalysatorsystem benutzt, das aus einer Verbindung eine Metalles der Eisengruppe des Periodensystems der Elemente und einer metallorganischen Verbindung oder eines, gegebenenfalle komplexen, Metallhydride, vorteilhaft unter Mitverwendung eines Elektronendonators, erhältlich ist. Es gelingt bei diesem Verfahren, Butadien in 70C/oiger Ausbeute in Cyclooctadien-(1,5) umzuwandeln. Die Ausbeute kann auf fast 90 0 gesteigert werden, wenn man das Butadien mit der gleichen Menge Buten-(1) verdUnnt.
- Es wurde nun gefunden, daß man Oligomere von 1,3-Dienen, insbesondere cyclische Dimere, unter Verwendung eines Katalysators, der aus einer Verbindung eines Metalles der Eisengruppe des Pariodensysteme der Elemente, einer metallorganischen Verbindung oder einem, gegebenenfalls komplexen, Metallhydrid und einem Elektronendonator erhältlich ist, in vorteilhafterer Weise ale bisher erhält, wenn man als Elektronendonatoren Verbindungen des dreiwertigen Phosphers verwendet, die ueber ein Sauerstoff-, Schwefel- oder Sticketoffatom gebundene Arylreste tragen, welche in o-Stellung zu den Heterobrücken einen Substituenten enthalten.
- In der deutschen Patentanmeldung B 59 455 IVb/12o wurde bereits vorgeschlagen, Butadien-(1,3) mit einem Katalyeator aus Nickelacetylacetonat, Aluminiumtriäthyl und Tri--(o tolyl)-phosphit umzusetzen. Bei dem neuen Verfahren gelingt es ebeneo wie nach dem erwähnten Vorschlag, Oligomere der 1,3-Diene mit besonders hohen Ausbeuten herzustellen. Insbesondere lassen sich cyclische Dimere der 1, 3 Diene, die 8 Kohlenstoffatome im Ring enthalten, mit hoher Selektivität herstellen. Das gilt besonders dann, wenn man eine Kobalt- oder Nickelverbindung für die Herstellung des Katalysators benutzt. Während bei dem Verfahren der erwähnten belgischen Patentschrift eine Ausbeute von 90 Ça nur dann erreicht wird, wenn man Buten-(1) neben Butadien mitverwendet, erhält man nach dem neuen Verfahren auch ohne diese zusätzliche Maßnahme Ausbeuten von über 90 % der Theorie. Ein weiterer Vorzug des Verfahrens nach der Erfindung liegt in der erhöhten Reaktionsgeschwindigkeit.
- Von den geeigneten Elektronendonatoren seien beispielsweise erwähnt: Tri-(d-tolyl)-phosphit, Tri-(2,4-dimethylphenyl)-phosphit, Tri-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)-phosphit, Tri-( o-isopropylphenyl)-phosphit, Trithymylphosphit, (Tri-(2-isopropyl-5-methylphenyl)-phosphit), Tri-(2,4-diisopropylphenyl)-phosphit, Tri-(o-octylpirenyl)-phophit, Tri-(o-diphenylyl)-phosphit, Tri-(2-methoxyphenyl)-phosphit, Tri-(2-methyl-5-isopropylphenyl)-phosphit, Tri-(2,4-di-tert.-butyl-phenyl)-phosphit, Tri-(2-isobutylphenyl)-phosphit, Tri-(α-naphthyl)-phosphit, Tri-(o-chlorphenyl)-phosphit, Tri-(2 ,4-dichlorphenyl)-phoephit' Tri-(2,6-dichlorphenyl)phosphit, Tri-(2,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-phosphit, Tri-(2-butoxyphenyl)-phosphit, Tri-(o-tolyl)-thiophosphit, Tri-(α-naphthyl)-thiophosphit, Tri-(2-chlorphenyl)-thiophosphit, N,N',N"-Tri-(N,2-dimethylanilino)-phosphin, N,N',N"-Tri-(N,2-diäthylanilino)-phosphin, o-Tolyl-diäthylphosphit, Diphenyl-o-biphenylyl-phosphit, Tri-o-cyclohexylphenylphosphit, o-Phenylen-methyl-phosphit [(o-C6H4O2)POCH3], o-Phenyleno-tolyl-phosphit, Tri-o-phenylen-diphosphit [(o-C6H4O2)3P2], 2-Methylphenoxy-diphenylphosphin, Bis-diäthylamino-2-methylphenoxy-phosphin, Dibutylamino-bis-2-methylphenoxy-phosphin, Bispiperidino-2-methylphenoxy-phosphin und Diphenyl- (methyl-ovtolylamino ) -phosphin.
- Das Verfahren nach der Erfindung wird im Ubrigen unter den üblichen Bedingungen ausgeführt. Man arbeitet also vorzugsweise bei einer Temperatur zwischen 50 und 150°C und in einem inerten L-sungsmittel, wie aromatische oder aliphatische Kohlenwasserstoffe oder Halogenwasserstoffe. Das Atomverhältnis des Metalles der Eisengruppe in seiner Verbindung zu dem Phosphor im Elektronendonator liegt vorzugsweise zwischen 1:1 und 1:4, Die in den folgenden Beispielen genannten Teile sind Gewichtsteile. beispiel 1 In ein Druckgefäß, das nacheinander mit 180 eilen Benzol, 5 Teilen Kobalt(III)-acetylacetonat, 10 Teilen Butadien-(1,3), 4,3 Teilen Aluminiumtriäthyl und 5 Teilen Tri-(o-tolyl)-phosphit beschickt wird, leitet man bei 800C unter einem Druck von 1,5 atU Butadien ein, Innerhalb von 7 Stunden werden 170 Teile Butadien umgesetzt Man erhält durch Destillation des Reaktionsgemischee 180 Teile eines Gemisches von C8H12 Kohlenwasserstoffen vom Kp760 120 bis 150°C. Es besteht nach gaschromatographischer Analyse aus 1,5 % 3-Methyl-heptatrien-(1,4,6), 46 % 1-Vinylcyclohexen-(3) und 51 % Cyclooctadien-(1, 5) Man erhält ferner 10 Teile eines farblosen Öles vom Kp5 70 bis 120°C. 1Q Teile eines zähen Ölas verbleiben zusammen mit dem Katalysator als Destillationsrückstand. Die Ausbeute an Cyclooctadien-(1,5), bezogen auf umgesetztes Butadien, beträgt 46 % der Theorie.
- Ersetzt man das Tri-(o-tolyl)-phosphit durch die entsprechende Menge an Triphenylphosphit, so erhält man unter sonst gleichen Bedingungen nur 0,9 Cyclooctadien (1, 5) Beispiel 2 In ein Katalysatorgemisch aus 150 Teilen Toluol, 2,6 Teilen Nickelacetylacetonat, 7 Teilen Tri-(o-tolyl)-phosphit und 2,6 Teilen Äthoxyaluminiumdiäthyl wird bei 90°C unter Atmosphärendruck Butadien-(1,3) eingeleitet. Innerhalb von 30 Minuten werden 75 Teile Butadien aufgenommen. Die Aufarbeitung durch fraktionierte Destillation liefert 69 Teile Cyclooctadien-(1,5) vom Siedepunkt 150 bis 15100, entsprechend einer Ausbeute von 92 %. Als Nebenprodukt werden 3,7 Teile 4-Vinylcyclohexen (1) (5 % Ausbeute) isoliert.
- Arbeitet man unter analogen Bedingungen, verwendet aber Tri-(p-tolyl)-phosphit, so beträgt die Ausbeute an Cyclooctadien--(1, 5) 72 %.
- Beispiel 33 Ein Katalysatorgemisch wird unter Inertgasatmosphäre bereitet aus 150 Teilen Benzol, 1,3 Teilen Nickelacetylacetonat, 4 Teilen Tris-(2,4-dimethylphenyl)-phosphit und 1,0 Teil Aluminiumtriäthyl.
- Die Lösung wird in ein Druckgefäß übergeführto Man leitet bei 900C unter einem Druck von 1,5 atü Butadien ein, Im Laufe von 6 Stunden werden 450 Teile Butadien umgesetzt. Die Analyse des Reaktionsaustrages ergibt, daß 93,5 ß des Butadiens in Cyclooctadien-(1, 5) umgewandelt sind. 4-Vinylcyclohexen-(1) entsteht in einer Ausbeute von 4,5 %.
- Arbeitet man unter analogen Bedingungen, verwendet aber anstelle von Tris-(2,4-dimethylphenyl)-phosphit die gleiche Menge Tris-(3,5-dimethylphenyl)-phosphit, so beträgt die Ausbeute an Cyclooctadien-(1,5) nur 75 %. Verwendet man Tris-(3,4-dimethylphenyl)-phosphit, so beträgt die Ausbeute an Cyclooctadien-(1,5) 70,5 Vo Beispiel 4 Man arbeitet wie im Beispiel 3, verwendet aber anstelle von Tris-(2,4-dimethylphenyl)-phosphit 5,4 Teile Tris-(o-diphenyl)-phosphit Cyclooctadien-(1,5) wird in einer Ausbeute von 94,5 Vo erhalten.
Claims (1)
- Patentanspruch Verfahren zur Herstellung von Oligomeren von 1,3-Dienen, insbesondere von cyclischen Dimeren, unter Verwendung eines Kataly sators, der aus einer Verbindung eines Metalles der Eisengruppe des Periodensystems der Elemente, einer metallorganischen Verbindung oder einem, gegebenenfalls komplexen, Metallhydrid und einem Elektronendonator erhältlich ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man als Elektronendonatoren Verbindungen des dreiwertigen Phosphors verwendet, die über ein Sauerstoff-, Schwefel- oder Stickstoffatom gebundene Arylreste tragen, welche in stellung zu den Heterobrücken einen Substituenten enthalten, wobei die Verwendung von Tri-(o-tolyl)-phosphit bei der Umsetzung von Butadien ausgeschlossen ist, wenn Nickelacetylacetonat und Aluminiumtriäthyl als andere Katalysatorbestandteile benutzt werden0
