Patentirt im Deutschen Reiche vom 16. August 1877 ab.
Die Materialien dazu bestehen aus reinem Quarzsand, kohlensaurem Kalk, Talk und Gyps, welchem
noch fein gemahlener Feldspath zugesetzt werden kann.
Der zur Anwendung kommende Sand mufs aus reiner Kieselerde bestehen und zu diesem
Behufe gewaschen und namentlich von den häufig darin enthaltenen animalischen Bestandtheilen
gereinigt werden. Nach vollständiger Abtrocknung des Sandes werden für die Fabrikation
des in Rede stehenden Marmors die in dem Sande enthaltenen ca. 5 bis 6 pCt. betragenden,
unwirksamen Stoffe durch Kieseiguhr (Infusorienerde) ersetzt.
Die vorbezeichneten Materialien treten, als Bindemittel auf 100 Theile Sand hinzu, und zwar:
a) je nach Güte desselben 6 bis 7 Theile kohlensaurer Kalk.
b) 3 Theile kohlensaurer Talk.
c) 4 - - Gyps.
d) 3 - - Feldspath.
Sämmtliche Materialien werden mit einem geringen Wasserzusatz in Formen gebracht, geprefst
und nach vollständiger Abtrocknung unter Weifsglühhitze in einem von Aschenfall freien .
Ofen gebrannt.
