Description

Zur Herstellung eines besonders leichten Bausteines, welcher keine Feuchtigkeit aufnimmt
und der Fäulnifs nicht ausgesetzt ist, · wird folgendes Verfahren angewendet.
Zerkleinertes Korkholz wird mit Cement, Sand, Thon, Kalkhydrat, Wasserglaslösung, Haaren
oder vegetabilischen Fasern unter Zusatz von Wasser in wechselnden Verhältnissen gemengt,
so dafs eine Masse entsteht, welche sich formen läfst. Diese Masse wird in bekannter Weise in
Formen gedruckt und an der Luft getrocknet.
Am vortheilhaftesten ist es, das zerkleinerte Korkholz mit einem Gemenge von Thon, Kalkhydrat, Wasserglaslösung und wenig Haaren zu
mischen.
Der Zusatz von Thon ist nothwendig, weil
ohne denselben der sich bildende kohlensaure Kalk sich von der Oberfläche des zerkleinerten
Korkes ablöst. Würde dagegen als Bindemittel nur Thon verwendet, so wäre der Stein nicht
gegen Wasser beständig.
Der Zusatz von Wasserglaslösung dient hauptsächlich dazu, um die Steine feuerbeständig zu
machen, aufserdem bilden sich Kalksilikate, welche zur Festigkeit des Steines beitragen.
Haare werden hinzugesetzt, damit die geformten Steine während des Trocknens zusammenhalten.
Claims (1)
- PATENT- Anspruch:Herstellung von Bausteinen durch Formen und Trocknen einer Masse aus Kork, Thon, Kalk, Wasserglaslösung und Haaren, wobei der Thon ganz oder theilweise ersetzt werden kann durch Cement, Puzzolanerde oder Trafs, Infusorienerde, Flugasche, und der Kalk ganz oder theilweise ersetzt werden kann durch hydraulischen Kalk oder Cement.
