Description
Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Arylaminoalkylsilanen der Formel

in der Ar einen Arylrest, wie eine Phenyl- oder Naphthylgruppe, oder eine substituierte Phenyl- oder
Naphthylgruppe, wie Tolyl-, Methylnaphthyl- oder Sulfonaphthylreste, und R entweder ein Wasserstoffatom
oder einen Alkylrest mit 1 bis etwa 4 Kohlenstoffatomen, ζ. Β. einen Methyl-, Äthyl-, Propyl- oder
Butylrest, bedeutet. B stellt einen Alkylrest, vorzugsweise einen Alkylrest mit 1 bis 5 Kohlenstoffatomen,
oder einen Arylrest, z. B. die Phenylgruppe, dar, Y einen Alkoxyrest mit 1 bis 4 Kohlenstoffatomen,
ζ. B. einen Methoxy-, Äthoxy- oder Propoxyrest, α ist eine ganze Zahl von 0 bis 3 und η eine ganze Zahl
von 3 bis 8, vorzugsweise 3 oder 4. Erfindungsgemäß werden diese Silane dadurch hergestellt, daß man ein

bedeutet, bei erhöhter Temperatur mit einem Aminoalkylsilan der Formel

worin Y für eine Alkoxygruppe mit 1 bis 4 C-Atomen steht und B eine Alkyl- oder Arylgruppe, α eine ganze
Zahl von 0 bis 3, η eine ganze Zahl von 3 bis 8 ist, umsetzt und das erhaltene Silan isoliert. Die Reaktion
kann durch die folgende Gleichung dargestellt werden:

Aminogruppe nicht reagieren, z. B. Wasserstoffatome, Alkylreste, wie Methyl-, Äthyl-, Propyl- oder Isopjopylgruppen,
Alkoxyreste, z. B. Methoxy- oder Äthoxygruppen, Arylreste, wie Phenyl- oder Naphthylreste,
die in m- oder P-Stellung zum Aminostickstoffatom oder dem Arylrest stehen, ferner Nitrogruppen,
Halogenatome, wie Chlor-, Brom-, Jod- oder Fluoratome und Sulfogruppen, in denen die Sulfogruppen
sich entweder in P-Stellung zum Aminostickstoffatom befinden oder in einem oder mehreren Ringen angeordnet
sind, jedoch nicht an dem, der direkt mit dem Aminostickstoffatom der Ausgangsarylamine verbunden
ist. Die freie Valenz der obigen Arylreste kann sich an einem beliebigen Ring-C-Atom befinden.

Beispiele für solche Verbindungen sind Anilin, N-Methylanilin, N-Äthylanilin, die Anisidine, die
Xylidine, 4-Aminodiphenyl, 2-Methoxy-5-nitroanilin, die Mono- und Dichloraniline, wie 3-Nitroanilin,
2,4-Dinitroanilin, die Toluidine, «-Naphthylamin,
l-Aminonaphthalin-^sulfonsäurejl-Aminonaphthalin-5-sulfonsäure
und l-Oxy-6-aminonaphthalin-3-sulfonsaure.
Die Temperaturen, für die Umsetzung des Silans mit dem Amin sind nicht ausschlaggebend und
können über einen weiten Bereich, z. B. von etwa 100 bis etwa 300° C, variieren. Der Bereich von etwa
150 bis etwa 1800C wird vorgezogen. Die Reaktion soll ferner zweckmäßigerweise unter dem Schutz eines
inerten Gases, wie Stickstoff oder Argon, durchgeführt werden.
Die Ausgangssilane können frei von Alkoxygruppen sein; vorzugsweise enthalten sie jedoch eine bis drei
Alkoxygruppen. Im ersteren Fall stört die Gegenwart von Wasser bei der Reaktion nicht. Enthält das Ausgangssilan
eine Alkoxygruppe, so wird die Reaktion unter Feuchtigkeitsausschluß durchgeführt, um die
monomeren Alkylsilanverbindungen zu erhalten. Die Umsetzung kann mit oder ohne ein inertes, flüssiges,
organisches Lösungsmittel, wie Xylol, Tetralin oder Toluol, vorgenommen werden.
Die bei dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren als Ausgangsmaterial verwendeten Alkylsilane können mit
allen reaktionsfähigen Wasserstoffatomen in der Aminogruppe des Arylamine zur Umsetzung gebracht
werden. So gelangt man durch Umsetzung von 2 Mol Alkylsilan mit 1 Mol primären Arylamin zu Verbindungen

Um die Bildung tertiärer siliciumhaltiger Amine zu vermeiden und hohe Ausbeuten an sekundären Arylaminosilanen
zu erhalten, sollte zweckmäßigerweise ein Verhältnis von primärem Arylamin zum Alkylsilan
von mindestens etwa 2: 1 verwendet werden. Geht man von einem sekundären Arylamin aus, so ist jedes
Verhältnis oberhalb etwa 1:1 geeignet. Ein zu großer Arylaminüberschuß wird nicht ratsam, da er nur die
Isolierung des Endproduktes schwieriger und kostspieliger gestaltet.
Als Silane eignen sich ferner co-Aminoalkylsilane.
Beispiele hierfür sind y-Aminopropyltriäthoxysilan,
oj-Aminooctyltrimethylsilan, y-Aminopropylphenyldimethylsilan,
ω-Aminohexyltriäthylsilan. Wenn man
ein co-Aminoalkylsilan verwendet, erhält man als
Nebenprodukt Ammoniak, das sich unter den Reaktionsbedingungen verflüchtigt. Zur Beschleunigung
der Reaktion kann man einen Katalysator, z. B. Sulfanilsäure, p-Toluolsulfonsäure, Ammoniumjodid
oder Jod, zufügen.
Die so erhaltenen Arylaminoalkylsilane eignen sich z. B-. für die Herstellung von siliciumhaltigen Farbstoffen.
Ein 100 ml fassender Dreihalskolben wurde mit einem Thermometer, Kühler und Rührer ausgestattet
und mit 8 g Anilin, 8,5 g y-Aminopropyltriäthoxysilan
und 0,2 g Sulfanilsäure beschickt. Das Reaktionsgemisch wurde 48 Stunden bei 180° C gerührt und dann
auf Raumtemperatur abgekühlt. Der nach dem Abfiltrieren des Anilinhydrochlorids verbleibende Rückstand
wurde mit Äther ausgewaschen. Beim Destillieren unter vermindertem Druck wurde der Äther
entfernt. Beim Fraktionieren unter einem Druck von 0,4 bis 0,6 mm Hg und einer Temperatur von 139 bis
145°C destillierten 3 g N-(y-Triäthoxysilylpropyl)-anilin
über. Eine analytisch reine Probe hatte bei einem Druck von 0,45 mm Hg einen Siedepunkt von
139 bis 140°C. Der Brechungsindex bei 25° betrug 1,4879.
Mikronalyse für C15H27O3NSi:
Berechnet ... N 4,7%, Si 9,4%;
gefunden ... N 4,5 %, Si 9,1 %.
Berechnet ... N 4,7%, Si 9,4%;
gefunden ... N 4,5 %, Si 9,1 %.
In die Vorrichtung nach Beispiel 1 wurden 8,5 g y-Aminopropyltriäthoxysilan und 7 g frischdestilliertes
N-Methylanilin gegeben und 48 Stunden bei 180° C unter Argon gerührt. Nach beendigter Reaktion
erhielt man beim fraktionierten Destillieren bei 127 bis 134°C/0,7 mm Hg 2 g N-Methyl-N-(y-triäthoxysilylpropyl)-anilin.
Brechungsindex bei 25°: 1,4849.
Mikroanalyse für C16H29O3NSi:
Berechnet ... N 4,5%, Si 9,0%, -OC2H5 40,2%;
gefunden ... N 4,7%, Si 9,0 %, -OC2H5 39,6%.
Ein 100-cm3-Dreihalskolben nach Beispiel 1 wurde
mit 2,86 g «-Naphthylamin, 8,84 g y-Aminopropyltriäthoxysilan
und 0,2 g Sulfanilsäure beschickt. Man rührte das Reaktionsgemisch 48 Stunden bei 180°C
und destillierte dann fraktioniert. Es wurden gewonnen:
4,5 g nicht umgesetztes y-Aminopropyltriäthoxysilan
bei 69 bis 115°C/2,5mmHg, dann bei 185 bis 187°C/2,5mmHg, 2,2 g N-(y-Triäthoxysilylpropyl)-
«-naphthylamin. Eine analytisch reine Probe hatte einen Brechungsindex von 1,5268 bei 25°.
Mikroanalyse für C19H29O3NSi:
Berechnet ... N 4,0%, Si 8,1 %;
gefunden ... N 4,0 %, Si 8,8 %.
Berechnet ... N 4,0%, Si 8,1 %;
gefunden ... N 4,0 %, Si 8,8 %.
Ein Kolben nach Beispiel 1 wurde mit 8,5 gy-Aminopropyltrimethylsilan,
7 g frischdestilliertem N-Methylanilin und 0,2 g Sulfanilsäure beschickt. Man rührte
das Reaktionsgemisch 3 Tage bei 1800C unter Argon. Das Gemisch wurde dann in 100 cm3 Wasser gegeben,
auf Raumtemperatur abgekühlt und mehrnals mit insgesamt 200 cm3 Diäthyläther extrahiert. Der Ätherextrakt
wurde über Calciumchlorid getrocknet, filtriert und dann im Vakuum destilliert, um den Äther zu
entfernen. Der Rückstand wurde fraktioniert destilliert; man erhielt bei 120 bis 125°C/3 mm Hg 3,2 g
N-Methyl-N-(y-trimethylsilylpropyl)-anilin. Eine analytisch reine Probe siedete bei 117 bis 120°C/3 mm Hg
und hatte einen Brechungsindex von 1,5148 bei 25°.
Mikroanalyse für C13H23NSi:
Berechnet ... N 6,3%, Si 12,7%;
gefunden ... N 6,0%, Si 12,4%.
Berechnet ... N 6,3%, Si 12,7%;
gefunden ... N 6,0%, Si 12,4%.
Ein 100-cm3-Dreihalskolben, ausgerüstet wie im
Beispiel 1 beschrieben, wurde mit 9,0 g o-Anisidin, 8,5 g y-Aminopropyltriäthoxysilan und 0,2 g Sulfanil-
säure beschickt. Das Gemisch wurde bei 180° C 48 Stunden gerührt. Beim Aufarbeiten des Reaktionsgemisches durch Destillation erhielt man bei 156 bis
1610C/1,4 mm Hg 4,0 g N-(y-Triäthoxysilylpropyl)-o-anisidin.
Eine analytisch reine Probe siedete bei 159,5 bis 161°C/l,4mm Hg und hatte einenBrechungsindex
von 1,4900 bei 25°.
Mikroanalyse für C18H29O4NSi:
Berechnet ... N 4,3 %, Si 8,6 %;
gefunden ... N 3,9%, Si 8,2%.
Berechnet ... N 4,3 %, Si 8,6 %;
gefunden ... N 3,9%, Si 8,2%.
Die Struktur des Produktes wurde ferner durch Infrarotanalyse bestätigt, die für die Anwesenheit von
— C — NH- C-, -C = C-, Si OC2 H5-Gruppen
die entsprechenden Banden zeigte.
Ein 100-cm3-Dreihalskolben, ausgerüstet wie im
Beispiel 1, wurde mit 10,5 g 2,5-Dichloranilin, 8,5 g
y-Aminopropyltriäthoxysilan und 0,2 g Sulfanilsäure ao
beschickt. Das Gemisch wurde 48 Stunden bei 180°C gerührt und dann auf Raumtemperatur abgekühlt.
Man fraktionierte dann das Reaktionsgemisch und erhielt bei 155 bis 1610C/1,2 mm Hg 2,2 g N-(y-Triäthoxysilylpropyl)-2,5-dichloranilin.
Mikroanalyse für C16H25O3NCl2Si:
Berechnet ... N 3,8%, Cl 19,4%;
gefunden ... N 3,1 %, Cl 20,0%.
Berechnet ... N 3,8%, Cl 19,4%;
gefunden ... N 3,1 %, Cl 20,0%.
Die Struktur dieser Verbindung wurde ferner durch Infrarotanalyse bestätigt, welche die Anwesenheit der
— C — NH- C-, -CH2-, — C —C-, -C6H4Cl-
und SiOC2H6-Gruppen durch die entsprechenden
Banden anzeigte.
Ein 100-cm3-Dreihalskolben, ausgerüstet wie im
Beispiel 1, wurde mit 10,0 g m-Nitroanilin, 8,5 g y-Aminopropyltriäthoxysilan und 0,2 g Sulfanilsäure
beschickt. Man rührte das Reaktionsgemisch 48 Stunden bei 180° C und kühlte dann auf Raumtemperatur ab.
Bei der fraktionierten Destillation des Reaktionsgemisches erhielt man bei 176 bis 180° C /1,4 mm Hg
1,0 g N-(y-Triäthoxysilylpropyl)-m-nitroanilin über. Die Infrarotanalyse bewies die Anwesenheit von
— C — NH — C-, — CH2-, — C = C-, — C — NO2-
und SiOC2H6-Gruppen.
Es ist bekannt, halogenalkylhaltige Polysiloxane mit Aminen umzusetzen. Bei dieser Reaktion entsteht
jedoch als Nebenprodukt Chlorwasserstoff, der wegen seiner korrodierenden Eigenschaften unerwünscht ist
und zudem mit noch nicht umgesetztem Amin reagiert. Diese Nachteile werden bei dem vorliegenden Verfahren
dadurch vermieden, daß man von Silanen ausgeht, die Aminoalkylgruppen enthalten und infolgedessen
als Nebenprodukt Ammoniak liefern.
Claims (3)
1. Verfahren zur Herstellung von Arylaminoalkylsilanen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man ein
Arylamin der Formel
ArNH
worin Ar ein gegebenenfalls substituierter Arylrest ist und R = H oder eine Alkylgruppe mit 1 bis
4 C-Atomen bedeutet, bei erhöhter Temperatur mit einem Aminoalkylsilan der Formel
H2N(CH2)nSiY3_o
worin Y für eineAlkoxygruppe mit 1 bis 4C-Atomen
steht und B eine Alkyl- oder Arylgruppe, α eine ganze Zahl von 0 bis 3 und η eine ganze Zahl von 3
bis 8 ist, umsetzt und das erhaltene Silan isoliert.
2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man die Umsetzung mit dem Arylamin
bei 150 bis 180°C vornimmt.
3. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man die Umsetzung mit dem
Arylamin in Gegenwart eines Katalysators und/oder eines inerten Lösungsmittels vornimmt.
