Abstract

Manschette (1) zum Einhüllen des Bereiches eines künstlichen Knieglenkes einer Beinprothese (2), bestehend aus einem im wesentlichen rohrförmigen Grundkörper (3) aus einem flexiblen Material, dessen eines Ende (4) über den Oberschenkelstumpf (5) und dessen anderes Ende (6) über den künstlichen Unterschenkel (7) der Beinprothese (2) stülpbar ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der dem Bereich des Kniegelenkes zugeordnete Bereich (8) als Faltenbalg ausgebildet ist, und dass sie zwei Ansatzringe (9, 10) aufweist, durch welche der Oberschenkelstumpf (5) bzw. der Unterschenkel (7) abgeschlossen sind.

Description

  • Die vorliegender Erfindung betrifft eine Manschette zum Einhüllen des Bereiches eines künstlichen Kniegelenkes einer Beinprothese, wie diese beispielsweise bekannt ist aus der DE 198 45 191 C1 .
  • Die darin beschriebene Beinprothese wird mit dem Oberschenkelstumpf verbunden, indem ein Adapterteil ossär in dem Femurstumpf verankert wird. Dem Femurteil der Prothese schließt sich ein künstliches Kniegelenk an, an welches schließlich eine Unterschenkelprothese nebst Fußprothese angekoppelt ist.
  • In der Praxis besteht ein Bedarf dahingehend, das künstliche Kniegelenk vor Verschmutzung, aber auch vor Feuchtigkeit zu schützen, insbesondere dann, wenn es sich bei dem Kniegelenk nicht um ein relativ einfach aufgebautes Scharniergelenk handelt, sondern um ein den natürlichen Bewegungsablauf eines natürlichen Kniegelenkes nachbildendes Gelenk. Im übrigen kann die Ästhetik herkömmlicher Beinprothesen gesteigert werden.
  • Die aus den Druckschriften DE 31 37 614 A1 , DE 91 06 674 U1 , US 6,059,834 A , US 4,908,037 A , DE PS 299 950 sowie US 2,897,512 A bekannten Manschetten oder Abdeckeinrichtungen vermögen diesen Anforderungen nicht gerecht zu werden.
  • Vor diesem Hintergrund ist es die Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung, eine Manschette der eingangs genannten Art anzugeben, welche den genannten Forderungen möglichst gerecht wird.
  • Die Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß entsprechend den Merkmalen des Anspruchs 1 gelöst. Zweckmäßige Ausgestaltungen der Erfindung sind in den Unteransprüchen angegeben.
  • Die Manschette besteht im wesentlichen aus einem rohrförmigen Grundkörper der aus einem flexiblen Material besteht. Dessen eines Ende ist über den Oberschenkelstumpf und dessen anderes Ende ist über den künstlichen Unterschenkel der Beinprothese stülpbar. Im Bereich des einzuhüllenden Kniegelenkes ist die Manschette als Faltenbalg ausgebildet. Es sind zwei Ansatzringe vorgesehen, durch welche der Oberschenkelstumpf und der Unterschenkel abgeschlossen werden.
  • Die erfindungsgemäße Manschette bildet gegenüber der Umwelt ein abdichtendes Element, beispielsweise gegen Schmutz und Wasser. Die Ausbildung als Faltenbalg ermöglicht bei Beugung des Kniegelenkes ein Dehnen auf der ventralen Seite bzw. eine Stauchung auf der dorsalen Seite der Manschette, so daß diese also keine Behinderung in der Beugebewegung der Beinprothese darstellt.
  • Besonders bevorzugt wird eine Ausführungsform, bei welcher der Faltenbalg als mehrreihiger Faltenbalg, beispielsweise zweifaltiger Faltenbalg ausgebildet ist. Hierdurch wird die Dehnbarkeit auf der einen Seite und Stauchbarkeit auf der anderen Seite des Faltenbalges deutlich erhöht.
  • Vorteilhafterweise besteht die Manschette aus einem wasserabweisenden, besonders bevorzugt aus einem wasserdichten Material. Dies kann so weit gehen, daß der mit der Beinprothese versorgte Patient baden gehen kann, ohne die Beinprothese ablegen zu müssen. Im Falle der wasserdichten Ausbildung der Manschette trägt das künstliche Kniegelenk auch keinen Schaden aufgrund eines Wasserkontaktes.
  • Um die ästethische Wirkung noch zu steigern, kann das Material der Manschette ein hautfarbenes Material sein. Bei dem Stand der heutigen Prothetik kann so ein Bein rekonstruiert werden, welches erst auf den zweiten Blick hin als ein künstliches Bein identifiziert werden kann.
  • Vorzugsweise besteht die Manschette dabei aus Silikon.
  • Die Erfindung wird anhand eines Ausführungsbeispiels gemäß der einzigen Zeichnungsfigur erläutert.
  • In der Zeichnungsfigur ist eine Beinprothese 2 dargestellt, die an einen Oberschenkelstumpf 5 angekoppelt ist. Dem Oberschenkelstumpf 5 schließt sich ein nicht dargestelltes Kniegelenk an, an welches eine Unterschenkelprothese 7 angekoppelt ist. Die Manschette besteht aus einem röhrenförmigen Grundkörper 3. Sein oberes Ende 4 ist über den Oberschenkelstumpf gestülpt. Sein unteres Ende 6 hingegen ist über die Unterschenkelprothese 7 gestülpt. Der Oberschenkelstumpf 5 ist ebenso wie die Unterschenkelprothese 7 jeweils abgeschlossen durch einen Ansatzring 9 bzw. 10.
  • Im Mittelbereich ist die Manschette 1 als Faltenbalg ausgebildet, vorliegend als zweireihiger Faltenbalg. Der vordere Abschnitt wird gedehnt, wenn das Kniegelenk zunehmend gebeugt wird, wohingegen der rückwärtige Teil dann gestaucht wird. Die Beweglichkeit des Kniegelenkes wird durch die erfindungsgemäße Manschette in keiner Weise beeinträchtigt.
  • Durch die Ausbildung der Manschette, beispielsweise aus hautfarbenem Silikon, steigt die Ästethik der gesamten Beinprothese im hohen Maße, wenn auch die Unterschenkelprothese 7 aus hautfarbenem Material besteht.

Claims (5)

  1. Manschette (1) zum Einhüllen des Bereiches eines künstlichen Knieglenkes einer Beinprothese (2), bestehend aus einem im wesentlichen rohrförmigen Grundkörper (3) aus einem flexiblen Material, dessen eines Ende (4) über den Oberschenkelstumpf (5) und dessen anderes Ende (6) über den künstlichen Unterschenkel (7) der Beinprothese (2) stülpbar ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der dem Bereich des Kniegelenkes zugeordnete Bereich (8) als Faltenbalg ausgebildet ist, und dass sie zwei Ansatzringe (9, 10) aufweist, durch welche der Oberschenkelstumpf (5) bzw. der Unterschenkel (7) abgeschlossen sind.
  2. Manschette nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Faltenbalg als mehrreihiger Faltenbalg ausgebildet ist.
  3. Manschette nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass sie aus einem wasserabweisenden Material besteht.
  4. Manschette nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass sie aus einem wasserdichten Material besteht.
  5. Manschette nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass sie aus hautfarbenem Material besteht.
