Abstract

La invención se relaciona con un proceso y con un aparato para reducir el contenido de óxidos de los gases de combustión (A) que comprenden monóxido de carbono (CO) y/o sustancias orgánicas gaseosas con al menos un catalizador (6) para la reducción catalítica del óxido de nitrógeno NOx y un intercambiador térmico (11) para calentar los gases de combustión (A) de la recuperación del calor residual de los gases de combustión (A) cuyo contenido de óxidos se ha reducido antes de la reducción catalítica a una temperatura de reacción (T8) de 160°C a 500°C. Para lograr la mejor reducción posible del contenido de óxidos de los de combustión (A) con la simultánea minimización de la energía necesaria suministrada externamente, se prevé que las pérdidas asociadas al movimiento del calor en el intercambiador térmico (11) se compensarán proporcionando al menos una etapa (12) para la post-combustión regenerativa del monóxido de carbono (CO) y/o de las sustancias orgánicas gaseosas.
