Изобретение относится к способу и устройству для удаления оксидов азота из топочных газов (А), которые содержат монооксид углерода (СО) и/или газообразные органические вещества, где используется, по крайней мере, один катализатор (6) для каталитического восстановления оксида азота NOи теплообменник (11) для нагрева топочных газов (А) от рекуперации остаточного тепла топочных газов (А), подвергнутых удалению оксидов азота, перед каталитическим восстановлением до температуры реакции (TR), что составляет 160 °C - 500 °C. Для наиболее эффективного удаления оксидов азота из топочных газов (А) с одновременной минимизацией количества необходимой энергии, подаваемой извне, предполагается, что потери, связанные с перемещением тепла в теплообменнике (11), будут компенсироватьс�
