背景技术
广泛种类的电动工具被用于不同的应用中例如建筑应用、火灾和营救应用等等。一些无线电动工具的例子包括但不受限于:无线电钻、无线圆锯、无线往复锯、无线砂磨机、无线螺丝起子和闪光灯。无线电动工具使用一个可充电电池包为其提供能量使其工作。可以容易地将该可充电电池包从无线电动工具移除并将其连接至一个外置电池充电器以达到充电的目的。
该电池包包括一个或多个电池。电池包也包括监测电路,该监测电路用来监测参数,例如电池电压值、放电电流和充电电流。存在着很多不同的无线电动工具和电池包。一个电池包可以应用于多种无线电动工具中。然而没有办法向电池包通报有关于该无线电动工具的任何细节。因此,需要一个工具识别电路,用来向一个插入的电池包通报该无线工具的特定数据。
发明内容
本发明提供了一个无线电动工具。该无线电动工具包括工具识别电路,该识别电路提供一个工具识别信号至一个电池包。该工具识别信号表示该无线电动工具的特定数据。
本发明还提供了一种方法。该方法包括:连接一个电池包至一个无线电动工具,并且当该电池包被适当地连接至该无线电动工具时,提供一个来自该无线电动工具的工具识别信号至该电池包。该工具识别信号表示该无线电动工具的特定数据。

具体实施方式

监测电路208比较所测值和相关阈值,并且如果所测值中的一个大于或等于相关阈值监测电路208就识别一个过载状态。例如,过载状态可以是一个大于或等于一个表示最大放电电流的阈值的放电电流。在另一个例子中,过载状态可以是一个提供至电池203的大于或等于一个表示最大充电电流的阈值的充电电流值。在另一个例子中,过载状态可以是一个电池的大于或等于一个电压阈值的电压值。在另一个实施例中,过载状态可以是一个元件的大于或等于一个温度阈值的温度。当检测到过载状态时监测电路208就会提供一个输出控制信号用来保护电源系统200的元件。该输出控制信号被提供至电池包102的一个或多个开关,或被当作一个控制输入通过路径127提供至外置于电池包102的其他电路。在一个实施例中,该输出控制信号被提供至放电开关209用来断开开关209,其中过载状态为一个来自电池203的大于或等于一个最大放电电流阈值的放电电流。
监测和控制电路208还响应扳机104的位置提供一个控制信号至放电开关209。该控制信号在一个实施例中可为一个脉冲宽度调制(PWM)信号218,并且放电开关209响应PWM信号218的占空比控制该放电电流。PWM信号218在一个固定频率工作,例如5到10千赫兹(KHz)。随着PWM信号的占空比增加,放电开关209的闭合时间也增加,因此提供至负载240的放电电流值就增加。类似地,随着PWM信号的占空比减小,放电开关209的闭合时间就减少,因此提供至负载240的放电电流值就减小。

图3所示为图2电源系统200相关的电源系统300的电路图。图3中与图2相似的元件以相同的参数标注,所以为了清晰在此省略任何重复的描述。图3的负载240a可为一个马达340,用来通过一个相连的齿轮系(未示出)驱动元件142。例如,元件142可为图1电钻的用来控制电钻钻头的卡盘。更优越的是可以去除一个无线电动工具中在马达340输入侧的传统速度控制开关。在它的位置上,放电开关209控制放电电流从而控制由马达340驱动的元件142的速度。

更优越的是工具识别电路使电池包可以接收一个特殊工具的数据,否则将没有办法得知这些数据。此类数据包括代表该特殊无线电动工具的最大放电电流,或该特殊工具的一个热过载点以指出一个连接的数据。另外,工具识别电路可以提供一个有用的次要指示:电池包已经被正确地插入适当的无线电动工具中。在没有适当的工具识别信号时,电池包将拒绝放电从而改进了系统的安全性。

Claims (18)

1.一种无线电动工具,包括:
工具识别电路,所述工具识别电路提供一个工具识别信号至一个电池包,所述工具识别信号表示所述无线电动工具的特定数据。
2.根据权利要求1所述的无线电动工具,其特征在于,所述数据包括所述无线电动工具的一个最大放电电流。
3.根据权利要求1所述的无线电动工具,其特征在于,所述数据包括所述无线电动工具的一个热过载点。
4.根据权利要求3所述的无线电动工具,其特征在于,所述工具识别电路包括一个拥有固定电阻值的电阻,且其中所述无线电动工具包括一个电池包,当所述电池包被连接至所述无线电动工具时所述电池包提供一个刺激信号至所述电阻,且其中所述工具识别信号包括一个对所述刺激信号的响应。
5.根据权利要求1所述的无线电动工具,其特征在于,所述工具识别电路包括一个并联的电阻和电容,所述电阻提供表示一个第一工具特性的所述工具识别信号,且所述电容提供表示一个第二工具特性的所述工具识别信号。
6.一种方法,包括:
连接一个电池包至一个无线电动工具;和
一旦所述电池包被适当地连接至所述无线电动工具就提供一个来自所述无线电动工具的工具识别信号至所述电池包,所述工具识别信号表示所述无线电动工具的特定数据。
7.根据权利要求6所述的方法,其特征在于,所述数据包括所述无线电动工具的一个最大放电电流。
8.根据权利要求6所述的方法,其特征在于,所述数据包括所述无线电动工具的一个热过载点。
9.根据权利要求6所述的方法,其特征在于,如果所述电池包没有被适当地连接至所述无线电动工具,所述工具识别信号不被提供至所述电池包,并且如果所述电池包没有接收到所述工具识别信号,所述电池包拒绝一个放电电流流入所述无线电动工具。
10.根据权利要求6所述的方法,其特征在于,所述电池包包括监测和控制电路,所述监测和控制电路比较至少一个被监测状态和一个阈值,其中所述阈值由所述工具识别信号提供。
11.根据权利要求10所述的方法,其特征在于,所述阈值是所述无线电动工具的一个特定的放电电流阈值。
12.根据权利要求6所述的方法,其特征在于,如果所述工具识别信号表示一个特殊无线电动工具的类型不被所述电池包支持,所述电池包拒绝一个流至所述无线电动工具的放电电流。
13.根据权利要求6所述的方法,其特征在于,所述电池包提供一个刺激信号至所述工具识别电路,且其中所述工具识别信号包括一个对所述刺激信号的响应。
14.一种电池包,包括:
至少一个电池;和
监测和控制电路,一旦一个电池包被适当地连接至一个无线电动工具时,所述监测和控制电路接收一个来自所述无线电动工具的工具识别信号,所述工具识别信号表示所述无线电动工具的特定数据。
15.根据权利要求14所述的电池包,其特征在于,所述数据包括一个所述无线电动工具的功率参数的阈值,其中所述监测和控制电路比较至少一个被测状态和所述阈值。
16.根据权利要求15所述的电池包,其特征在于,所述阈值是所述无线电动工具的一个特定的放电电流阈值,且所述监测和控制电路比较一个被监测的放电电流和所述放电电流阈值,并且如果所述被监测的放电电流大于或等于所述放电电流阈值时提供一个输出信号。
17.根据权利要求14所述的电池包,其特征在于,如果所述工具识别信号表示一个特殊无线电动工具的类型不被所述电池包支持,所述电池包拒绝一个流至所述无线电动工具的放电电流。
18.根据权利要求14所述的电池包,其特征在于,所述监测和控制电路还提供一个刺激信号至所述无线电动工具,且其中所述工具识别信号包括一个对所述刺激信号的响应。
