Description

超声波密封装置
技术领域
本发明涉及用于制造内置纸容器的液体饮料等的充填包装机上的超声波密封装置,更详细地说,是关于具有限制器的超声波密封装置,该限制器用于控制作为密封颚的悬臂凹模密封面与对置颚作用面的间隔来提高密封性能,可限定悬臂凹模密封面与对置颚作用面的间隔。
背景技术
在现有技术中,作为对充填汁等的立方体包装容器用包装材料网带杀菌用的包装机,已知的有如图1所示的充填包装机。该充填包装机整体上具有重绕机2、杀菌装置3、纵向密封部4、给液管5、横向密封装置7以及容器整形装置;其中,重绕机2将层叠包装材料网带1成滚轮状支承起来;杀菌装置3是对从重绕机2依次卷回的板状层叠包装材料网带进行杀菌;纵向密封部4用来密封杀菌处理后的层叠包装材料网带的长度方向两端部,并形成管状层叠包装材料网带;给液管5是用来向形成为管状的网带内充填流动性内容物;横向密封装置7一边将已充填了内容物的管带向下方输送大致仅相当于1个容器的长度,一边沿与管状层叠包装材料网带长度方向相正交的方向在液面下横向密封,同时连续成形断面为矩形的枕状容器6;容器整形装置用以弯折枕状容器6的端部,来成形最终形态的立方体状容器8。在将层叠包装材料网带做成管状时,多使用密封带9;另外,上述横向密封装置7由具有发热源的密封颚、与该密封颚协动进行热密封的对置颚、以及驱动这些密封颚与对置颚的驱动装置构成。
作为超声波密封装置可做成具有驱动部件与悬臂凹模的超声波密封装置,其中驱动部件可以是连结交流电源、具有压电陶瓷板的压电驱动部件,或磁致伸缩驱动部件;而悬臂凹模具有细而长的密封表面。该装置还可以是以具有悬臂凹模和形成米波长的1个或1个以上的反作用体为特征的超声波密封装置(日专利特开平7-2231号公报)以外,已知的尚有多种超声波密封装置(如日专利特公昭62-22784号公报,专利第2544450号公报,特开平7-33121号公报,特开昭56-92046号公报,以及特开平6-15741号公报等)。
发明内容
在适应充填包装高速化的超声波密封装置中,必须具有响应性能良好的加压(推压)条件,在横向密封时对管状包材进行响应性能良好的加压情况下,如在包材的热塑性树脂软化·熔化不充分状态达到规定的密封压,其结果将产生有碍形成良好密封的问题。本发明的课题乃是在横向密封时对管状包材进行响应性能良好的加压情况下,可提供能向包材热塑性树脂充分供给超声波发振器输出能量、可使热塑性树脂充分软化·熔化并形成良好密封的超声波密封装置。
作为前述包材中热塑性树脂软化·熔化不充分的原因,应首先考虑从超声波发振器向包材传递的输出能量比规定的设定值小,因此用电压记录仪(日本电气三荣社制“金光学”(オムニテイト)记录仪)按时测定加压时的超声波发振器的输出,如图2所示,随着时间推移急剧向右上方上升,如充分供给密封必须的能量,由于是右上方上升波形,可以预想将产生图2虚线表示的超越超声波发振器容许最大输出(输出的100%)现象。
这种现象的原因,考虑可能是在加压包材状态,一进行超声波发振,包材最内层的热塑性树脂软化,在响应性能良好的加压情况下,特别是悬臂凹模密封面与对置颚作用面急速接近时,包含对置颚的振动系统急剧变化是这种现象的起因。一产生超越超声波发振器容许最大输出(输出的100%),保护回路动作,超声波发振停止,相当于图2斜线部分面积的能量不再供给包材。因此,限定具有细长而平坦密封面的悬臂凹模密封面、和含有与该悬臂凹模密封面协动并推动包材的推压部分的对置颚作用面之间的间隔,构成即使是响应性能良好加压时,悬臂凹模密封面与对置颚作用面不会比规定距离更靠近。因此,可向包材供给相当于图2实线包围面积的能量,结果是可达到良好的超声波加热密封。本发明即是基于这一点完成的。
本发明即是关于:在将至少含有热塑性树脂层的层叠体构成的包材做成管状。并将该管状包材横断状进行超声波密封的装置中,其特征在于,它具有有着细长而平坦的密封面的悬臂凹模、有着包含与前述悬臂凹模密封面协动并推压包材的推压部分的作用面的对置颚、限定前述悬臂凹模密封面与对置颚作用面间隔的限制器的超声波密封装置,限制器固定于超声波发振器支承构件上,限制器作用面通过在未熔化状态推压的管状包材而抵接于对置颚作用面上。
本发明的超声波密封装置的特征在于,它具有将悬臂凹模密封面与对置颚作用面间隔限定为比用悬臂凹模与对置颚在未熔化状态推压管状包材时的间隔小、比在熔化状态推压时间隔大的限制器。
本发明的超声波密封装置的特征在于,悬臂凹模密封面与对置颚作用面间隔,比未熔化状态推压管状包材时的间隔小0.1~0.8mm。
本发明的超声波密封装置的特征在于,限制器固定于对置颚上。
本发明的超声波密封装置的特征在于,限制器的作用面可直接抵接于固定在超声波发振器支承构件上的限制器承受构件的作用面。
本发明的超声波密封装置的特征在于,层叠体含有纸层。
本发明的超声波密封装置的特征在于,对置颚具有切断机构。
本发明的超声波密封装置的特征在于,在将包材做成管状时,使用密封带将其做成管状。

具体实施方式
作为本发明的至少由含有热塑性树脂层的层叠体构成的包材,如果是具有在其最内面可由超声波加热而加热密封的聚乙烯等热塑性树脂层的层叠体的话,并没有什么特别的限制,但为维持容器的刚性,最好是具有纸板的纸层。另外,也可以使用具有不向容器内透过空气、维生物等的铝箔层或不透过氧气的合成树脂薄膜片的层叠体。再有,作为本发明的管状包材,除将上述包材做成管状之外,也可以使用以密封带将上述包材做成管状的包材。
在本发明中,作为对管状包材成横断状超声波密封的超声波密封装置,只要是具有悬臂凹模(ホ-ン)、对置颚、限制器,什么样的超声波密封装置都可以,其中悬臂凹模具有细长而平坦的密封面;对置颚具有包含着与前述悬臂凹模密封面协动来推压包材的推压部分的作用面;限制器用来限定前述悬臂凹模的密封面与对置颚作用面的间隔;本发明的该超声波密封装置可很好地用于液面下或非液面下的加热密封。除了限定前述悬臂凹模的密封面与对置颚的作用面之间隔的限制器之外,也可以用现有已知的超声波发振器或超声波密封装置;也可以用由本发明人所开发的具有图3或图4所示超声波发振器的超声波密封装置。
上述图3所示的超声波发振器10具有1个悬臂凹模12、和多个换能器13,其中悬臂凹模12具有沿长度方向密封包装材料的2个细长而平坦的密封面11;换能器13则立设于该悬臂凹模12的密封面相反一侧,并使该悬臂凹模共振;其长度即是一波长的长度,将固定位置(安装法兰)14做成节(平)面;而图4所示的超声波发振器10则是在具有沿长度方向密封包装材料的1个细长而平坦的密封面11的一个悬臂凹模夹具一体成型体15上立设多个换能器13(参照WO99/48759);由于使用了具有超声波发振器10(它具有多个换能器13)的超声波密封装置,可均匀加热包含两端部的细长密封面的整个面。
作为以具有限定悬臂凹模密封面与对置颚作用面的间隔的限制器为特征的本发明超声波密封装置的最好形式,悬臂凹模密封面与对置颚作用面的间隔比在用作为密封颚的悬臂凹模与对置颚在未熔化状态推压管状包材时的间隔要小些,而比在熔化状态推压时的间隔要大些;例如,悬臂凹模密封面与对置颚作用面间隔,比在未熔化状态推压时的间隔小0.1~0.8mm,小0.1~0.3mm更好,特别是最好小约0.2mm,可以此举例出具有可限定的限制器的超声波密封装置。
另外,该限制器,也可构成为固定在超声波发振器的支承构件上;或构成为固定在对置颚上。在限制器固定在超声波发振器的支承构件上的情况下,最好是该限制器不要对超声波发声器产生影响,其作用面通常构成为与悬臂凹模密封面和对置颚作用面平行的平坦面,限制器的作用面构成为从悬臂凹模的密封面后退0.1~0.8mm,后退0.1~0.3mm更好,特别是最好后退约0.2mm。在管状包材加压时,该限制器的作用面通过未熔化状态的包材抵接于对置颚的作用面,由此可限定悬臂凹模的密封面与对置颚作用面的间隔比如比未熔化状态推压时的间隔小0.1~0.8mm,小0.1~0.3mm更好,特别是最好小0.2mm左右。另外,在限制器固定于对置颚的情况下,由于通常限制器的作用面直接抵接于固定于超声波发振器的支承构件上的限制器承受构件的作用面,可将悬臂凹模密封面与对置颚作用面的间隔限定为比如比未熔化状态推压时间隔小0.1~0.8mm,小0.1~0.3mm更好,特别是最好小0.2mm左右。
使用本发明超声波密封装置,对管状包材横断状进行横密封,由设在悬臂凹模端部的细长而平坦的密封面、和存在于对置颚作用面上与上述悬臂凹模密封面协动来推压包材的推压部分,向包材最内面热塑性树脂层施加由压力与机械振动形成的热负荷,加热密封,形成密封带区。该密封带区通常与前述推压部分一致,在密封带区两外侧,形成了接液侧相邻区域和包装容器被切离的切断侧相邻区域。这种密封带区用本发明的超声波密封装置可连续形成。即在这种超声波密封装置中,这种由密封颚与对置颚组成的一对加压构件通常成2组使用,由各一对加压构件进行的热密封依次形成2个密封带区,由设于对置颚的切刀在该2个密封带区间依次切下成型为枕状的包装容器。
作为本发明超声波密封装置的对置颚,最好在其作用面上设置可在密封带区的接液侧相邻区域形成熔化热塑性树脂滞留槽的V字形等的沟(设于与作用面推压部分的接液侧相邻的非推压部分上的沿推压部分长度方向的沟)。由设于对置颚上的这种沟,在密封带区的接液侧相邻区域形成熔化热塑性树脂滞留槽。另外,该接液侧非推压面部分上的沟之外,还可设置于密封带区的切断侧相邻区域中可形成熔化热塑性树脂滞留槽的沟。在对置颚的作用面上设出斜度,以使得熔化热塑性树脂在密封带区的切断侧相邻区域从密封带区向远处流出。
如在对置颚的作用面上设置可在密封带区的接液侧相邻区域或切断侧相邻区域形成热塑性树脂滞留槽的沟,在超音波加热密封时,由加压·加热,推压密封带区内的熔化热塑性树脂从密封带区向密封带区外流动,不仅可以在密封带区形成无夹杂物的良好的热密封,而且流向接液侧密封带区外的熔化热塑性树脂,在密封带区的接液侧相邻区域形成具有一定宽度和厚度的热塑性树脂滞留层,从而可以防止形成所不希望的熔化树脂波浪条形突起。另外,流向切断侧密封带区外的熔化热塑性树脂,在密封带区的切断侧相邻区域形成具有一定宽度和厚度的熔化热塑性树脂滞留层,由于不流到切断部,切断起来容易。再者,在本发明超声波密封装置的对置颚的作用面上,于对应于密封带区的推压部分也可以设置连续或不连续的突条。不连续突条设在容易产生台阶和密封压力不均的纵向密封部附近和成为包材折返部的两外侧部分,由此,可以防止产生因“风道”引起的密封不良。
如前所述,在超声波密封装置中,由悬臂凹模形成密封颚,由该密封颚与对置颚构成一对加压构件,在由该加压构件进行热密封形成的2个密封带区间,成型为枕状的包装容器被切离,由于这样,在本发明超声波密封装置中。通常在对置颚上设置由切断刀与驱动机构构成的切断机构。由该切断机构进行的切断,一般在2个密封带区间进行,但也可将切断装置设在超声波密封装置的下方,以便可在较宽的密封带区大致中央进行切断。
下边,参照图5~图9来详细说明本发明超声波密封装置实施例,本发明的技术范围也并非由该实施例来限定。图5是具有固定在超声波发振器支承构件上的限制器的本发明超声波密封装置概略立体图;图6是图5所示超声波密封装置的概略纵剖面图;图7是图5所示超声波密封装置的概略纵剖面局部放大图;图8是具有固定在对置颚上的限制器的本发明超声波密封装置概略立体图;图9是同时具有固定在超声波发振器支承构件上的限制器与固定在对置颚上的限制器的本发明超声波密封装置概略立体图。
图5~图7所示的本发明超声波密封装置具有悬臂凹模12、对置颚18以及限制器20,其中悬臂凹模12具有细长而平坦的2个密封面11;对置颚18具有细长作用面16与切刀17,细长作用面16含有与前述悬臂凹模的密封面11协动来推压管状包材1的推压部分;限制器20固定在超声波发振器10的支承构件19上、并通过空间从上下方向平行夹着上述悬臂凹模配置。这样,由于与悬臂凹模隔着空间配设限制器20,不会对超声波发振产生影响。另外,如图6与图7所示,由于构成为限制器作用面21位于从悬臂凹模密封面后退约0.2mm左右的位置,在加压管状包材时(图7),由该限制器作用面21通过未熔化状态的包材抵接于对置颚的作用面16上,悬臂凹模密封面11与对置颚作用面16的间隔,可限制到比如比在未熔化状态推压时的间隔小0.2mm左右。图6中的22表示了夹具。
从图5~图7也可以清楚,在该超声波密封装置对置颚18的作用面上,设有V形沟23与沟24,V形沟23可使得在密封带区的接液侧相邻区域形成熔化热塑性树脂滞留层;而沟24可使得在密封带区的切断侧相邻区域形成熔化热塑性树脂滞留层。另外,相当于密封带区长度方向中央部分的推压部分作用面16a的宽度,如图5所示,与其他部分相比,形成窄宽度,约为1/3左右。这样,由于形成窄宽度,在含有纵密封部的三个重叠部分厚度的包材上,有可能作用比其他两重叠部分还要大的压力。再者,由于在通过未熔化状态的包材抵接于限制器作用面21长度方向中央部分的对置颚作用面16b上设有切口,由限制器限定的悬臂凹模密封面与对置颚作用面的间隔,不受由上述三个重叠部分厚度的包材产生的影响。
图8所示的本发明超声波密封装置具有悬臂凹模12、对置颚18、限制器25与限制器承受构件26,其中,悬臂凹模12具有细长而平坦的2个密封面11;对置颚18具有细长作用面16和切刀,而细长作用面16包含有与悬臂凹模密封面11协动推压管状包材1的推压部分;限制器25固定于对置颚18两侧面并向悬臂凹模两侧面外侧方向延设;限制器承受构件26固定在超声波发振器10的支承构件(未图示)上。加压时,该限制器25的平坦作用面与限制器承受构件26平坦作用面直接抵接,使悬臂凹模12的密封面11不过分靠近对置颚18的作用面11。
图9所示的本发明超声波密封装置具有悬臂凹模12、对置颚18、裙限制器27、和限制器25,其中,悬臂凹模12具有细长而平坦的2个密封面11;对置颚18具有细长作用面16与切刀,细长作用面16包含有与悬臂凹模的密封面11协动并推压管状包材1的推压部分;裙限制器27固定于超声波发振器10的支承构件并通过空间从上下方向与左右两外侧4个方向平行围着上述悬臂凹模地进行配设;限制器25固定于上述对置颚18两侧面,并向悬臂凹模两侧面外侧方向延设。由于该裙形限制器27也通过空间和悬臂凹模一起配设,不会对超声波发振产生影响。裙形限制器27的作用面位于比悬臂凹模密封面后退约0.2mm左右的位置齐平面构成,上下作用面28起限制器作用,左右两外侧作用面29起固定于对置颚18上的限制器25的限制器承受部作用。另外,限制器25的作用面,仅比对置颚作用面突出出来在未熔化状态推压管状包材时包材厚度那么多。使用该超声波密封装置,一对管状包材加压,裙形限制器27上下作用面28通过未熔化状态包材抵接于对置颚作用面16的同时,由于限制器25的作用面与裙形限制器27左右两外侧作用面29直接抵接,可以更准确限定悬臂凹模密封面11与作用面和对置颚18作用面16的间隔。
可以示例出具有如下限定功能的限制器的超声波密封装置:悬臂凹模密封面与对置颚作用面的间隔,比用作为密封颚的悬臂凹模与对置颚在未熔化状态推压管状包材时的间隔要小,而比在熔化状态推压时的间隔要大,例如悬臂凹模密封面与对置颚作用面的间隔,比在未熔化状态推压时的间隔小0.1~0.8mm,小0.1~0.3mm更好,特别是最好小0.2mm左右。
如果用本发明的超声波密封装置,即使对横密封时的管状包材响应性能良好的加压情况下,可将超声波发振器输出能量充分赋于热塑性树脂,可使热塑性树脂充分软化·熔化,可以实施良好的密封。

Claims (6)

1.一种超声波密封装置,将至少含有热塑性树脂层的层叠体形成的包材做成管状,对该管状包材横断状地进行超声波密封,它具有悬臂凹模、对置颚以及限制器;所述悬臂凹模具有细长且平坦的密封面;所述对置颚具有包含与前述悬臂凹模密封面协动并推压包材的推压部分的作用面;所述限制器用来限定前述悬臂凹模密封面和对置颚作用面的间隔;其特征在于:
所述限制器固定在超声波发振器的支承构件上,该限制器的作用面可通过在未熔化状态推压的管状包材抵接于对置颚的作用面。
2.按权利要求1所述的超声波密封装置,其特征在于,它具有限制器,该限制器使悬臂凹模密封面和对置颚作用面的间隔比用悬臂凹模和对置颚在未熔化状态推压管状包材时的间隔要小,而比在熔化状态推压时的间隔要大。
3.按权利要求2所述的超声波密封装置,其特征在于,悬臂凹模的密封面和对置颚作用面的间隔,比在未熔化状态推压管状包材时的间隔小0.1~0.8mm。
4.按权利要求1~3中任一项所述的超声波密封装置,其特征在于,层叠体包含纸层。
5.按权利要求1~3中任一项所述的超声波密封装置,其特征在于,对置颚具有切断机构。
6.按权利要求1~3中任一项所述的超声波密封装置,其特征在于,管状包材,在将包材做成管状时,是使用密封带做成管状的。
