具有双面LCD的折叠式移动通讯终端
                        技术领域
本发明涉及移动通讯终端,及更具体地,涉及折叠式的移动通讯终端。
                        背景技术
通常移动通讯终端可与地点无关地用来和另外人员通讯,近来,用户的数目急速地增长。设有使用移动终端的不同通讯服务,例如蜂窝电话、个人通讯业务(PCS)电话,下一代IMT-2000(国际移动通讯)及UMTS(通用移动通讯服务)移动通讯终端、PDA(个人数字助手)电话及其它便携式通讯电话。
图1是表示折叠式移动通讯终端的透视图。
参照图1,一个终端由多种电子部件及位于其上部的天线组成。该终端包括一个主体10A及一个弹盖10B,主体在正面具有一个键盘11,可通过按压各个键进行拨号及呼叫开/关,弹盖用铰链与主体10A连接,以张开/盖上键盘11。弹盖10B装有液晶显示器(LCD)12,以便当键盘11上的键被按压时显示操作状态。一个扬声器13A被装在弹盖10B的上侧及一个话筒13B被装在键盘11的下方。并且,为了对该终端10的内部电路供电,在主体10A后部装有可卸电池块14。
在该移动通讯终端10中,因为LCD 12不是一种发光装置,它不利于用在暗处使用,因此装有用于暗处的可均匀照亮LCD的背面照明器。如果装在LCD 12侧面或后面的灯被导通,光照射在LCD上,以致可在暗处看出显示图像。
图2A是具有双面LCD的折叠式移动通讯终端的一个透视图。
参照图2A,该终端20包括一个主体20A及一个弹盖20B。主体20A包括一个可卸电池块24及一个天线28,及弹盖20B包括两个LCD显示屏22A(未示出)及22B。弹盖20B用铰链26连接在主体20A上,以打开/盖上主体20A的键盘。
图2B是表示图2A中具有背景灯光的双面LCD终端的弹盖20B的横截面图。
参照图2B,弹盖20B包括:用于照明外侧LCD屏22B的电致发光(EL)背面照明器123;用于使由一个光源(未示出)发出的光传导到内部LCD屏22A中的导光板125,该光源例如为LED或类似光源;及一个LCD印刷电路板(PCB)124,用于控制电致发光背面照明器123的功率及驱动LCD屏22A及22B。并且,弹盖20B包括双面胶带126及127,用于将印刷电路板(PCB)124粘在电致发光背面照明器123的一个面上及将电致发光背面照明器粘在外部LCD屏22B的一个面上。
如上所述,由于弹盖20B包括用于对内部LCD屏22A背景照明的LED及导光板125及用于外部LCD屏22B背景照明的EL背面照明器123,因此具有使弹盖20B的厚度变厚的问题及制造程序复杂,由此使制造成本增加。
                        发明内容
因此,本发明的目的是提供一种折叠式移动通讯终端的双重LCD装置,它具有能用一个光源同时将光发送到内部及外部LCD屏的背面照明器。
根据本发明的一个方面,提供了一种具有双面LCD的折叠式移动通讯终端,它包括第一LCD屏;第二LCD屏;及一个背面照明装置,它被插在第一及第二LCD屏之间,用于双向地照明第一及第二LCD屏;其中该背面照明装置包括:用于发射光的发光装置;及一个导光板,用于将由发光装置发出的光分配到第一及第二LCD屏。

                      具体实施方式
下面将参照附图来详细描述根据本发明的具有双面LCD的折叠式移动通讯终端。
通常,一个移动通讯终端由多种电子部件及位于其上部的天线组成。该终端包括一个主体及一个弹盖,主体在正面具有一个键盘,可通过按压各个键进行拨号及呼叫开/关,弹盖用铰链与主体连接,以打开/盖上键盘。弹盖装有液晶显示器(LCD),以便当键盘上的键被按压时显示操作状态。一个扬声器被装在弹盖的上侧及一个话筒被装在键盘的下方。并且,为了对该终端的内部电路供电,在主体后部装有可卸电池块。
图3是表示根据本发明的移动通讯终端中具有背面照明器的双重LCD装置的一个分解透视图。
图4及5表示根据本发明的终端的横截面图。
参照图3至5,具有双面LCD的折叠式通讯终端的弹盖包括:一个光源262,例如为一个发光二极管(LED)或类似物,用于通过供电发光;及一个背面照明器,用于对由LED光源262发出的光进行两个方向的传送及照明。弹盖内部及外部的两个LCD屏27及28对称地安装并在其中间装有背面照明器。第一及第二半透明膜232A及232B用作光散射材料,以提高光分配的均匀性。第一半透明膜232A被布置在导光板23的一个面及LCD屏27之间,用于将光均匀透射到LCD屏27。第二半透明膜232B被布置在导光板23的另一个面及LCD屏28之间,用于将光均匀透射到LCD屏28。第一半透明膜232A的光透射率高于第二半透明膜232B的透射率。
并且,弹盖具有电源控制单元,用于根据移动通讯终端的弹盖的打开/关闭同时地及选择地控制两个LCD屏27及28的电源。
背面照明器用于使由LED 262发出的光照明外部/内部LCD屏27及28。弹盖包括:一个导光板23,用于透射由LED 262发出的光;一个形成在弹盖上壳21的内部的支座,用于保持导光板23的边缘;一个柔性的印刷电路板(PCB)25,它被放置在支座24的上部;及一个发光单元26,它与柔性PCB 25相连接,用于双向地发光。在此情况下,由发光单元26发出的光同时地照明了LCD屏27及28。
更具体地,构有预定角倾斜的光收集单元231形成在导光板23的上部,用于收集光,及在导光板23的两面上放置有半透明的荧光膜232A及232B。因此,导光板23用作光的双向分配器,将光收集单元231收集的光分配到内部及外部LCD屏27及28。
发光单元26具有控制单元261,用于控制由电池块14供电的工作。通过该控制单元261开通/关断LED的光,及一个挡光层263阻挡LED 262发出的光透射到外部。LED具有能够同时地发射三个彩色(R,G及B)光的发光装置。
参照图4及5,导光板23被插在支座24中及内部LCD屏27被接触在导光板23的下平面上,及柔性PCB 25被接触在导光板23的上平面上,然后内部LCD 27及柔性PCB 25用支座24及固定单元(未示出)固定。外部LCD 28被装在柔性PCB 25的正面及LED光源262被连接在柔性PCB25上。
为了挡住由LED光源262发出的光透射出外部,在可接收LED 262的上部分的支座24的上部固定有挡光层263。
固定在内部及外部LCD屏27及28等上的导光板23被连接在支座24的内部及然后被固定在上壳21的固定部分211上。并且,形成在导光板23上部的光收集单元231被固定在支座24的内部。外部LCD屏28被固定在上壳21的固定槽211中及内部LCD屏27被固定在支座24的内部。并且支座24被固定在上壳21的内部。
下壳22被连接在上壳21的上部,以阻止固定在支座24上的导光板23脱离。当用于保护LCD屏27及28的保护层被分别固定在上/下壳21及22上后,上壳21用铰链15固定并可转动,由此弹盖就被装好。
下面将描述根据本发明的背面照明器的工作。
当电源供给到控制单元261时,在柔性PCB 25的控制下从LED 262发出光,及该光被光收集器231收集。被收集的光被透射到导光板23内,及透射光通过半透明的荧光膜232A及232B被分配到内部及外部LCD屏27及28。光便通过固定在上壳21及下壳22上的保护层212被发散出来。因此,使用者通过在暗处使用该光能容易地识别信息及其它功能。
并且,LED光源不但可被STN(超扭曲向列)LCD及TFT(薄膜晶体管)LCD的LED光源代替,而且也可被荧光灯代替。
由于使用了可由LED发出的光照明内部及外部LCD屏的背面照明器,移动通讯终端的厚度可被减小及制造程序可被简化,由此可降低制造成本。因此,生产率可被增加及可获得有竞争力的产品。
虽然本发明是相对具体实施例描述的,但显然,对于本技术领域的熟练技术人员来说,在不偏离由以下权利要求书限定的本发明的精神和范围的情况下可作出各种变化及修改。

Claims (9)

1.一种具有双面LCD的折叠式移动通讯终端,它包括:
第一LCD屏;
第二LCD屏;及
一个背面照明装置,它被插在第一及第二LCD屏之间,用于双向地照明第一及第二LCD屏;其中该背面照明装置包括:
用于发射光的发光装置;及
一个导光板,用于将由发光装置发出的光分配到第一及第二LCD屏。
2.根据权利要求1所述的折叠式移动通讯终端,其中背面照明装置还包括两个放置在导光板两面上的半透明膜。
3.根据权利要求2所述的折叠式移动通讯终端,其中导光板主要将光均匀分配到第一LCD及产生向着第二LCD的泄漏光。
4.根据权利要求3所述的折叠式移动通讯终端,其中两个半透明膜包括:
布置在导光板一个平面及第一LCD屏之间的第一半透明膜,用于将均匀光均匀地透射到第一LCD屏;及
布置在导光板另一个平面及第二LCD屏之间的第二半透明膜,用于将泄漏光均匀地透射到第二LCD屏,其中第一半透明膜的透光率大于第二半透明膜的透光率。
5.根据权利要求4所述的折叠式移动通讯终端,其中背面照明装置还包括形成在导光板上部的光收集装置,用于收集由发光装置发出的光。
6.根据权利要求4所述的折叠式移动通讯终端,还包括用于控制第一及第二LCD屏的功率的功率控制装置,其中功率控制装置控制第一及第二LCD屏同时地或根据弹盖的状态有选择地被照明。
7.根据权利要求4所述的折叠式移动通讯终端,其中发光装置包括三彩色(R,G及B)发光二极管。
8.根据权利要求4所述的折叠式移动通讯终端,其中发光装置实质上是一个发光二极管(LED)。
9.根据权利要求4所述的折叠式移动通讯终端,其中发光装置实质上是一个荧光灯。
