Claims (8)
- 第1の表示面を形成する第1の液晶表示パネルと、
上記第1の表示面とは反対側を向く第2の表示面を形成する第2の液晶表示パネルと、
上記第1および第2の液晶表示パネルに挟まれた光出射部、およびこの光出射部に接続されるとともに、外光を取り込むための光入射面を有する光入射部を備える導光部材と、を具備し、
上記第1の液晶表示パネルは、上記第2の表示パネルおよび上記導光部材の光出射部を透過した外光により照明され、
上記第2の液晶表示パネルは、上記導光部材の光入射面から入射し、上記光出射部にて上記第2の液晶表示パネルに向けられた外光によって照明されることを特徴とする、液晶表示装置。 - 上記光出射部は、板状とされている、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 上記導光部材には、上記光入射面から向かってきた外光を上記光出射部へと反射させる反射面が形成されている、請求項1または2に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 上記光入射面は、上記第2の表示面と同じ方向を向いて露出している、請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載の液晶表示装置。
- 上記光入射面は、帯状であり、かつ上記第2の表示面の一端縁に沿って配置されている、請求項4に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 上記光入射面としては、複数のものが備えられており、これら複数の光入射面が、上記第2の表示面を挟むように配置されている、請求項4または5に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 上記第1および第2の液晶表示パネルのそれぞれには、互いの偏光方向が直交する一対の偏光板が設けられており、
上記第1の液晶表示パネルの上記一対の偏光板のうち上記第2の液晶表示パネル側に設けられた偏光板と、上記第2の液晶表示パネルの上記一対の偏光板のうち上記第1の液晶表示パネル側に設けられた偏光板とは、互いの偏光方向が同じである、請求項1ないし6のいずれかに記載の液晶表示装置。 - ヒンジ部を介して本体部に回動可能に連結された蓋部を備えた携帯電話機であって、
上記蓋部には、請求項1ないし7に記載の液晶表示装置が搭載されており、上記第1および第2の表示面が、それぞれ上記蓋部の内側および外側の表示面とされていることを特徴とする、携帯電話機。
