Claims (3)
- 表裏両面へそれぞれ光を導出する導光板の一面側に第1液晶表示パネル、他面側に前記第1液晶表示パネルより小型の第2液晶表示パネルを配設して積層した積層体を有する液晶表示装置において、
前記第2液晶表示パネルが装着された面は、該第2液晶表示パネルの表示面とほぼ同じ高さに支持した平坦面を有する金属性のカバーで覆われ、該カバーは前記第2液晶表示パネルの周囲に配置された回路基板を覆い、前記カバーに設けられた開口から前記第2液晶表示パネルの表示面を露出させ、
前記第2液晶表示パネルが装着された面と前記カバーとの隙間には、前記回路基板が配設され、
前記回路基板には、液晶を駆動する制御素子及び外部接続用コネクタが装着され前記第2液晶表示パネルが載置される位置が開口となっており、
前記カバーには、前記回路基板に装着された外部接続用コネクタを露出するための開口が形成されていることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 前記導光板の前記第2液晶表示パネルが装着される側の表面には、この導光板とほぼ同じ大きさで、前記第2液晶表示パネルが載置される位置に開口となっている薄板状の補強フレームが設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第1液晶表示パネルと前記導光板は、その外周囲が額縁状の枠体で囲まれ、前記カバーは、この枠体に固定されていることを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の液晶表示装置。
