Abstract

本发明能够根据电池的状态来进行由混合式汽车多相交流电机产生的、给驱动装置(内燃机)的加速以及给电池的充电。对车辆上装载的电池其放电时及充电时的电流、电压进行测定,程序控制电路根据此测得的电流、电压信息,通过用于实行电池与连接于车辆驱动装置的多相交流电机之间的交流变直流或直流变交流变换的变换器,对在向驱动装置提供辅助动力时的放电电流进行控制。由于是根据电池的充电状态来限制充放电电流,避免了不论电池充电量的多少而同样实行的充放电,因此在提高充电效率的同时,还能够使电池的寿命延长。

Description

车载电池的控制装置
本发明适用于使用电动机作为行走动力的电动汽车。本发明涉及车载式充电电池的充放电控制。本发明是为并用内燃机和电动机作为行走动力的混合式汽车所开发的,然而能够广泛用于将充电电池装载于车辆上,在行走上利用此电池能量的汽车。
本申请人以HIMR的名称对并用内燃机和电动机的混合式汽车进行开发、制造及销售。此汽车的构成是:其内燃机曲轴上连接了三相交流鼠笼型感应电机,将大型的电池搭载在车辆上,此电池与交流感应电机之间用双向变换器结合,利用程序控制电路对此变换器进行控制(参考WO88/06107号)。
在此装置中,在车辆进行加速时,控制提供给此交流感应电机的旋转磁场以使此交流感应电机成为电动机,在车辆进行减速时,控制提供给此交流感应电机的旋转磁场以使此交流感应电机成为发电机。并且进行控制,使在交流感应电机作为电动机使用时,电池进行放电,作为发电机使用时,电池进行充电,即实行再生制动。
此装置装载于大型公共汽车上,被实用于市区公共汽车以及要求环境污染极小地区的山路公共汽车等。近年来,因汽车内燃机排气造成的污染成为愈来愈大的问题。尽管车价仍然高,燃料价格稍贵,也到了论述在都市市区行走的大部分汽车成为电动汽车的可能性的时候了。
上述HIMR其构成是:在车辆上设置电池室,将因产量大而以低价能够买到的端电压为12V的电池作为单位电池,将25个这样的电池装载于电池室,在电气上用串联连接,使整体的端电压成为12V×25=300V,用来作为提供行走用能量的电池。
这里的“单位电池”是指利用多个进行串联连接、构成提供行走用能量的电池的单位。例如,在铅电池的情况下,根据化学性质,最小的单位电池的端电压为2V,而一般市场上销售的是将多个此2V的电池串联连接收装于一个箱体内的电池。例如,在铅电池的情况下,单位电池的端电压为2V、4V、6V、12V、24V等。除铅电池以外的电池也是用其化学性质及串联连接个数确定其端电压。
本申请提出人关于单位电池的监视提出过国际专利申请(参考PCT/TP96/00966号、WO96/32651公报)。
此装置具有:
电压检测电路,对利用连接电缆串联连接的数量为n个的多个(例如25个)单位电池的(+)端和(-)端之间的电压是否为设定值以下进行检测。在此电压检测电路中,含有:
第一发光显示电路,它在(+)端和(-)端之间的电压低于第一设定值(V1)以下时,作为需要充电的状态以红色的发光进行显示;
第二发光显示电路,它在(+)端和(-)端之间的电压超过第二设定值(V2)以上时,作为已充电的状态用绿色的发光进行显示。
利用此发光显示,对充电状态(即为没电的状态还是充好电的状态)进行通知。
本发明人积累了关于上述HIMR车辆的许多行走记录及维护记录。电池随着反复充放电而逐渐劣化,因此经一定时期,必须更换电池,而在以往的技术中,在电池充放电的控制上,没有考虑电池的寿命。即,以往的电动汽车的电池充放电控制在构成上是根据行走条件来进行的,而没有将充放电时的电池状态信号取回到控制装置用以参考该电池的状态进行充放电控制。
下面进一步详细说明。例如,若假定电池的标准电压为上述的300V,在利用再生制动进行充电时,以往,若其端电压超过了既定的界限值(例如380V),因有造成电池损坏的危险,所以进行控制使其不得超过界限值。然而,此界限值实际上是电池的充电量大时(充满时)的安全值,在电池的状态良好时,(电池没有劣化,没电时)即使再提高端电压,也能够有效率地进行充电。这意味着:在电池是新电池且没电的情况下,制动踏板被踩下处于制动状态时,能够减小作为制动片摩擦热而放掉的能量,进一步增加通过再生制动向电池进行充电还原从而加以利用的能量。
在混合式汽车中,在踩下加速踏板车辆处于加速状态时也同样如此。即,处在加速状态时,内燃机和电动机成为对必需的转矩进行分担的情况,然而,即使是相同的加速踏板的踩下程度(相同转矩),也应该能够进行控制,在当时电池状态好时(电池没有劣化,充满电时),加大放电电流,使内燃机的负担减轻,使环境污染减小。在电池的充电量差时(电池劣化,或充电状态为没电时),使电池的负担减轻,增加内燃机的负担。
根据进一步的观测,可以发现:若让例如25个单位电池以串联连接的状态进行放电,能量并不是从25个电池各自均等地放出。串联连接进行充电时,也并不是全部的单位电池被均等地充电。从电气特性来看此,较易于理解的是将其解释为各个单位电池的内电阻(R)不相等。由于是串联连接,电流(I)虽一致,但不管是充电时还是放电时,单位时间充电或放电的能量(I2R)并不相等。在充电时,内电阻高的单位电池的端电压比其他的单位电池要高,放电时则相反,其端电压比其他单位电池要低。实际上,如将其当作是相等的,以全体的标准电压或额定电压进行反复充放电,则内电阻高的电池在充电时被造成过充电,使该单位电池独自被加速劣化。另外,内电阻大的单位电池用串联连接进行充放电时,该电池的温度变高,造成与其他电池的特性不同,该单位电池独自提前劣化。
也就是说,本发明人发现:充电电流的最大值或放电电流的最大值的决定,不仅取决于电池全体的状况,而且还取决于每个单位电池的状况。这是延长电池寿命的重要的要素。
发明人作了各种各样的尝试,例如将同一制造批量的单位电池收容在一个电池室中等。发明人发现:即使车辆在新车时,各单位电池的特性一致,可是随着车辆的长期使用,特性产生了偏差,加速了不均等的劣化。一般,电池的更换不是对单个单位电池进行,而是全体一齐更换,因此,对全体以相等的条件进行控制,明显是造成电池寿命缩短的原因。大量使用、大量废弃电池成了环境污染的新的原因。
本发明是在这样的背景下进行的,目的是提供一种装置,该装置能够对电池的充放电状态进行观测,根据其状态实行对驱动装置的加速及对电池的充电。本发明的目的是不单纯根据电池的充电状态是没电还是充满电状态,而且还根据电池是新的还是劣化状态的,进行对该电池适宜的充电及放电的控制。本发明的目的是在提高电池的充放电效率的同时,延长电池的使用寿命。本发明的目的是减少因制动消耗的能量,将尽可能多的能量进行再生。本发明的目的是提供一种控制装置,即使单位电池的特性上存在偏差,该装置不使其因长期使用造成偏差扩大。本发明的目的是降低电动汽车的电池费用。本发明的目的是使电池的维修保养简单化。
本发明的特征在于根据电池的劣化状态,设定对加速区域进行区分的边界线。该加速区域是指由混合式汽车多相交流电机产生的、给驱动装置加速的区域。这里,所谓电池的劣化状态,不单纯是判定电池的充电状态是没电还是充满电状态,还包括判定电池是新的还是劣化了的。
即,本发明的第一观点的特征在于包括:
多相交流电机,它与电池的放电电流控制有关,与车辆的驱动装置相连接;
变换器,它设置在装载于车辆上的电池与上述多相交流电机之间,进行交流变直流或直流变交流的变换;
程序控制电路,用于对此变换器进行控制,
还包括电流电压测定装置,它附在上述电池上,用来测定放电时的电流电压及/或充电时的电流电压,
上述程序控制电路含有:放电电流控制装置,它根据利用上述电流电压测定装置测定的信息通过上述变换器对上述电池进行放电电流的控制。
上述程序控制电路最好包括:
存储器,用于将反映电池劣化程度的放电时的电流电压特性及/或充电时的电流电压特性事先作为特性图进行存储;
识别装置,用于将利用上述测定装置测定的放电时或充电时的电流电压特性与上述存储器中存储的特性图进行比较,利用此对电池的劣化程度进行识别;
放电电流增减装置,用于将加速踏板的踩下量取回,根据由上述识别装置识别的劣化程度,对用来产生与该踩下量相对应的驱动转矩所需的放电电流的大小进行增减。
电池充放电时的电流电压总在变动。对此放电时及充电时或其两者之一的电流电压进行经常的测定,程序控制电路根据此测定的电压电流信息对变换器进行控制。变换器响应此控制,实行电池与多相交流电机之间的直流交流变换,向与多相交流电机相连接的驱动装置给以驱动力。
通过对端电压与放电电流或充电电流的电压电流特性进行监视,能够知道电池的劣化程度。举端电压与放电电流的特性为例,如图5的右侧所示,其电流电压特性随着劣化程度从S10到S13进行变化。在设需要充电的电压为第一设定值V1时,电池为新电池时的放电特性为S10的情况,因此,其放电电流为I10,相反,劣化严重、需要更换的状态的放电特性为S13的情况,其放电电流为I13(I13<I10)。将此电流电压特性预先存储在存储器中,能够根据所测定的电流电压特性,进行适宜于当时电池状态的控制。即,此控制不单纯根据电池的充电状态是没电还是充满电状态,而且还包括根据电池劣化为何种程度来进行的。
另外,在端电压与充电电流的关系上,如图5左侧所示,其电流电压特性随着劣化程度从S12到S23进行变化。在设充电完了电压为第二设定值V2时,正常的新电池时的充电特性为S20的情况,其充电电流为I20,虚线表示的需要更换的状态的电池时,其充电特性为S23的情况,其充电电流为I23(I23<I20)。充放电特性如上所述随着劣化程度而变化,随着劣化的发展,即使是相同的端电压,放电电流及充电电流却减少。
将反映此电池劣化程度的放电时的电流电压特性及充电时的电流电压特性作为特性图存储在程序控制电路的存储器中,将测定的放电时或充电时的电流电压特性与上述存储器中存储的特性图进行比较,由此对电池的劣化程度进行识别,根据此劣化程度,对放电电流进行控制。
电池的放电是根据加速踏板被踩下来进行的,程序控制电路根据与特性图的比较所识别到的劣化程度,对用来产生与该踩下量相对应的驱动转矩所需放电电流的大小进行增减,限制放电电流。
本发明的第二观点的特征在于包括:
多相交流电机,它与电池的充电电流控制有关,与车辆的驱动装置相连接;
变换器,它设置在车辆上装载的电池与此多相交流电机之间,进行交流变直流或直流变交流的变换;
程序控制电路,用于对此变换器进行控制,
还包括电流电压测定装置,它附在上述电池上,用来测定放电时的电流电压及/或充电时的电流电压,
上述程序控制电路含有:充电电流控制装置,它根据利用上述电流电压测定装置测定的信息通过上述变换器对上述电池进行充电电流的控制。
上述程序控制电路最好包括:
存储器,用于将反映电池劣化程度的放电时的电流电压特性及/或充电时的电流电压特性事先作为特性图进行存储;
识别装置,用于将利用上述测定装置测定的放电时或充电时的电流电压特性与上述存储器中存储的特性图进行比较,利用此对电池的劣化程度进行识别;
充电电流增减装置,用于将制动压力取回,根据由上述识别装置识别的劣化程度,对用来产生与该制动压力相对应的再生制动转矩所需的充电电流的大小进行增减。
充电电流控制的情况也与放电电流控制的情况同样,根据测定的电压电流信息同存储器中存储的信息相比较,对电池的劣化程度进行识别,根据其劣化程度对充电电流进行控制。
电池的充电是根据制动踏板被踩下或成为发动机制动状态来进行的,程序控制电路将制动压力及当时的发动机转速取回,根据与特性图的比较所识别到的劣化程度,对用来产生与制动压力及当时的发动机转速相对应的再生制动转矩所需充电电流的大小进行增减,限制充电电流。
利用此充放电电流的控制,能够根据当时电池的状态实行对驱动装置的加速及对电池的充电,在提高电池的充放电效率的同时,延长电池的使用寿命。此外,能够尽可能地减少因制动消耗的能量,尽可能多地将能量再生,即使单位电池的特性上存在偏差,也能够防止因长期使用造成的偏差扩大。
本发明的第三观点是记录有上述程序控制电路所必需的软件的记录媒体。此软件中含有上述的特性图,作为汽车制造工序的一环,或汽车修理工序的一环,安装在程序控制电路中。将这样的记录媒体作为专利对象。

本发明实施例具有:多相交流电机2,它连接于车辆的驱动装置(内燃机)1上;变换器4,它设置在装载于车辆上的电池3与上述多相交流电机2之间,进行交流变直流或直流变交流的变换;速度传感器5,用于对车辆的行走速度进行检测;转速传感器6,用于对驱动装置(内燃机)1的转速进行检测;程序控制电路7,它根据速度传感器5及转速传感器6的输出对变换器4进行控制;电流传感器8,用于对电池3的充放电电流进行检测;显示装置9,用于对电池3的信息进行显示;加速传感器10,用于检测加速踏板的踩下量;制动传感器11,用于检测制动踏板的操作。
速度传感器5、转速传感器6、显示装置9、加速传感器10以及制动传感器11通过接口电路12与程序控制电路7相连接。在此程序控制电路7上连接有图中省略的齿轮位置传感器、发电机温度传感器、离合器传感器等。
此外,变换器4的直流侧上连接有电容器13,在电池3上,通过断路器15,连接有对变换器4的输出电压进行检测的检测电路14,同时,连接有DC·DC变换器16。电池3由数量为n个的多个单位电池17构成。
再有,作为本发明的特征,还包括一个电流电压测定装置,它附在上述电池3上,用来测定放电时的电流电压及/或充电时的电流电压。上述程序控制电路7含有:放电电流控制装置,它根据利用上述电流电压测定装置测定的信息通过上述变换器4对上述电池3进行放电电流的控制;存储器7a,用于将反映电池劣化程度的放电时的电流电压特性及充电时的电流电压特性或其两者之一的电流电压特性事先作为特性图进行存储;识别装置,用于将利用上述测定装置测定的放电时或充电时的电流电压特性与上述存储器7a中存储的特性图进行比较,利用此对电池的劣化程度进行识别;放电电流增减装置,用于将加速踏板的踩下量从加速传感器10取回,根据由上述识别装置识别的劣化程度,对用来产生与该踩下量相对应的驱动转矩所需的放电电流的大小进行增减。充电电流控制装置,它根据利用上述电流电压测定装置测定的信息通过上述变换器4对上述电池3进行充电电流的控制。充电电流增减装置,用于将制动压力从制动传感器11取回,根据由上述识别装置识别的劣化程度,对用来产生与该制动压力相对应的再生制动转矩所需的充电电流的大小进行增减。

数量为n个(在本例中为25个)的多个单位电池17由连接电缆18被串联连接,对其(+)端17a和(-)端17b的电压是否为设定值以下进行检测的检测单元19用一对连接器20被连接。
此n个单位电池如图4所示,收纳于车体中央的下部设置的电池室内的托架21上,利用可开闭的门与外部相隔离。
在检测单元19中,具有:第一发光显示电路19a,用于在(+)端17a和(-)端17b的电压为第一设定值(V1)以下时,作为处于不足既定充电量的状态以红色发光进行显示;第二发光显示电路19b,用于在(+)端17a和(-)端17b的电压超过第二设定值(V2)时,作为处于既定充电量的状态以绿色发光进行显示。
图5所示为关于本发明实施例电池的充放电特性图。利用对使用时的端电压与放电电流或充电电流的关系,能够对电池的劣化程度进行观测。在端电压与放电电流的关系上,如图的右侧所示,在设需要充电的电压为第一设定值V1时,电池没有劣化时的放电特性为S10的情况,在端电压为V1时,其放电电流为I10。电池稍微劣化时,其特性如由S11表示,其放电电流为小于I10的I11电池进一步劣化,其特性如由S12表示,其放电电流为小于I11的I12。若电池处于完全劣化状态时,其放电特性为S13的情况,在相等的端电压V1下,其放电电流为小于I12的I13
另外,就充电特性进行说明,在端电压与充电电流的关系上,当电池正常时,其充电特性为S20的情况,在端电压为V2时,其充电电流为I20。电池稍微劣化时,其特性如由S21表示,在端电压为V2时,其充电电流为小于I20的I21。电池进一步劣化,其特性如由S22表示,在相等的端电压V2下,其充电电流为小于I21的I22。若电池处于完全劣化状态时,其充电特性为S23的情况,在端电压为V2时,其充电电流为小于I22的I23
将此反映电池劣化程度的充放电时的多个特性预先存储在程序控制电路7的存储器7a中。
在此,对本发明实施例程序控制电路充放电电流的控制动作进行说明。图6为表示本发明实施例的电池劣化识别动作流程的流程图,图7为表示本发明实施例的充放电电流控制动作流程的流程图。
程序控制电路将检测装置14及电流传感器8检测的电压值及电流值取回,与存储器7a中预先存储的电压电流特性图进行比较,对电池3的劣化程度进行识别。根据此识别,进行电池3的良好度分级。即,判别属于图5所示的多个特性S10~S13或S20~S23之中的哪个。在将此电压电流值存储在存储器7a中的同时,在显示装置9上以图形进行粗略区分显示。
接着,根据加速踏板或制动踏板的任一个被操作,对要进行加速还是要进行制动进行判别。
当要进行加速时,从加速传感器10将加速踏板的踩下量取回,对与此踩下量相对应的必需的驱动转矩进行计算。这里,首先取回记录在存储器7a中的表示电池3良好度的级别,根据此级别所表示的电池3的劣化程度设定电能的分担。例如,对多相交流电机2的转差率进行控制,以如图8的右侧所示那样,对于必需的驱动转矩,如电池3为良好状态,则实行用于产生以斜线表示的驱动转矩的放电,如电池3不是良好状态,则实行用于产生以网线表示的驱动转矩的放电。
另外,当要进行制动时,从制动传感器11将制动踏板的制动压力取回,对与此制动压力相对应的必需的制动转矩进行计算。接着,首先取回记录在存储器7a中的表示电池3良好度的级别,根据此级别所表示的电池3的劣化程度设定电能的分担。例如,对多相交流电机2的转差率进行控制,以使如图8的左侧所示那样,对于必需的制动转矩,如电池3为良好状态,则实行用于产生以斜线表示的制动转矩的充电,如电池3不是良好状态,则实行用于产生以网线表示的制动转矩的充电。
利用上述的控制,能够根据电池的劣化程度对电池无伤害地进行充电及放电的控制,因此,能够延长电池的寿命。即使单位电池的特性上存在偏差,也能够防止偏差扩大,总的说来,可使到更换电池为止的时间延长。
根据如上所述的本发明,能够按照电池的状态对电池的充电及放电状态进行控制,即,不单纯根据电池的充电状态是没电还是充满电状态,而且还根据电池是新的还是劣化状态的,进行对各个电池适宜的充电及放电的控制。这样一来,能够延长电池的使用寿命。另外,在提高电池的充放电效率的同时,能够减少因制动消耗的能量,将尽可能多的能量进行再生。利用本发明,即使单位电池的特性上存在偏差,能够减小因长期使用造成的偏差扩大。利用本发明,能够降低电动汽车的电池费用,能够使电池的维修保养简单化。

Claims (1)

1.一种车载电池的控制装置,其特征在于包括:
多相交流电机,它与车辆的驱动装置相连接;
变换器,它设置在装载于车辆上的电池与上述多相交流电机之间,进行交流变直流或直流变交流的变换;
程序控制电路,用于对此变换器进行控制;以及
电流电压测定装置,用于测定上述电池放电时的电流电压及/或充电时的电流电压,
上述程序控制电路含有:
放电电流控制装置,它根据利用上述电流电压测定装置测定的信息通过上述变换器对上述电池进行放电电流的控制;

识别装置,用于将利用上述测定装置测定的放电时或充电时的电流电压特性与上述存储器中存储的特性图进行比较,利用此对电池的劣化程度进行识别;
放电电流增减装置,用于将加速踏板的踩下量取入,根据由上述识别装置识别的劣化程度,对用于产生与该踩下量相对应的驱动转矩的放电电流的大小进行增减;以及
充电电流增减装置,用于将制动压力取入,根据由上述识别装置识别的劣化程度,对用于产生与该制动压力相对应的再生制动转矩的充电电流的大小进行增减。
