本发明涉及一种在其两侧涂有聚烯烃树脂,用作照相乳剂载体材料的基纸,在该基纸的背面具有印刷金色光泽(标识印刷)。
所述背面指的是基纸的与保持图象的前面相对的表面。
通常,用作感光乳剂(尤其是彩色照相)载体材料的基纸是那些在它们的两个表面即正面和背面涂有聚烯烃的纸。在两面涂覆聚烯烃保护基纸不会由于显影、定影和漂洗浸泡而被浸透。所述聚烯烃可以是聚乙烯(如LDPE、LLDPE、HDPE)、聚丙烯或这些成分的混合物。
这样的照相基纸业已被多次公开阐述,例如在德国专利DE3716269C2中。
这种基纸的背面常常利用常用的照相凹版技术印刷,以便使其常有各种图案和符号(例如商标)。该印刷工艺所需要的油墨根据以后将要涂覆的感光乳剂来看一定不能是具有照相活性的。一方面,油墨要很好地粘附于原纸上,另一方面,聚烯烃层要很好地粘附于该印刷油墨上,这是很重要的。因此,例如从日本专利JP-02-154252中了解到如何使用特殊的墨白印刷油墨印刷涂有聚烯烃的照相基纸的背面,以便提供与聚烯烃粘合良好的印刷位置。
用发出金色光的或金色光泽的油墨在所述的背面印刷是特别困难的。在常规的照相凹板印刷中用于此目的的颜料始终是以青铜为主要成份的或以铝-青铜为主要成分的材料。因此,由于包含在青铜颜料中的铜成分具有光化学活性,所以,对于相纸来说不能考虑使用这些颜料。即使使用聚烯烃树脂覆盖,仍然担心铜离子会在显影浴中被洗出来并具有潜在的光活化效应。
由于存在上述这些原因,在过去常使用类似于基于黄色颜料显影出现的金色颜料的印刷油墨。然而,用这样的油墨印出的字符清晰度差,并且它们没有所要求的发光效果。
由于就技术上的安全性和生态学上的理由来说发光金黄色印刷油墨应该是水剂的,所以,除去获得所需要的颜色和发光性能之外,它们对原纸良好的粘附性能和聚烯烃涂料对印刷油墨的粘附性能由于使用了这样的水质油墨而存在其他的问题。
因此,本发明的一个目的是提供一种其背面具有发光的或金黄色光泽的印刷效果的照相基纸,所述的这种印刷效果是按照一种规则的凹版工印刷工艺产生的,这种工艺使用了一种水质的、发光的金黄色油墨,这种油墨不具有光化学活性并具有极好的对原纸和对聚烯烃涂料的粘附性能。
本发明的这一目的是通过使用包含有一种干扰颜料和一种特殊的水溶性粘剂的油墨实现的。
干扰颜料(发光金黄色颜料,发光金属光泽颜料)的作用基于对光束的选择性反射。
特别适合的是以云母为主要成分的颜料(改性云母颗粒),在这种颜料中,具有层状形状的云母颗粒的核带有一个或多个金属氧化物层。这导致可见光中产生干扰效应。TiO2和/或Fe2O3特别适合用于云母颗粒涂料。根据涂料的类型及其厚度,可以获得所需要的彩色效果。
在本发明的印刷油墨中,还可以将这些干扰颜料与那些常规的半透明彩色颜料组合使用。
为了获得特别高的耀度,颗粒尺寸分布大致为5至80nm的颜料特别合适。
对于本发明的印刷油墨体系来说,水溶性的或水分散性的粘合剂,例如聚乙烯醇、聚乙烯吡咯烷酮、丙烯酸酯其聚物或苯乙烯/乙二烯共聚物是特别适合的。
在本发明的一个具体的实施例中,使用的是聚乙烯醇。具有中等的分子量和低分子量的聚乙烯醇特别适合。
在本发明的印刷油墨中上述颜料的含量,对于水质油墨溶液来说,按重量计是在10%至30%之间,优选是在15%至25%之间。颜料与所使用的粘合剂的重量比是在1∶1至8∶1的范围内,优选是在1.5∶1至4∶1的范围内。
本发明的油墨还可以含有其他的添加剂,例如湿润剂。
根据本发明,印刷油墨原纸的粘附性和聚烯烃对印刷油墨的粘附性都非常好。此外,用本发明的油墨印刷的字符和图案的清晰度在对具有其他一些功能层(例如抗静电层或防卷曲层)的涂有聚乙烯的基纸的背面进行涂覆后(这通常是指使用常规印刷油墨的情况)不受影响。
本发明利用以下实施例将得到更详细的说明。
实施例1-6
对基重130g/m2的照相原纸在挤压机中按照分步进行的挤压涂覆过程用表1中所示的印刷油墨在其全部背面进行涂覆,然后用聚乙烯进行挤压涂覆。涂覆原纸的正面用的是低密度聚乙烯(LDPE,d=0.923g/cm3)和15%(按重量计)的TiO2的混合物,而其背面用的是不含颜料的低密度聚乙烯(LDPE,d=0.915g/cm3)和高密度聚乙烯(HDPE,d=0.959g/cm3)的聚乙烯混合物。
而后,对于所制成的基纸油墨评价印刷油墨对聚乙烯和对原纸两者的粘附性能所必须的剥离力。结果列于表1中。

对基重160g/m2的照相原纸按照与实施例1所示相同的方法用表2所示印刷油墨在其背面进行涂覆,然后用实施例1的聚乙烯进行挤压涂覆。
而后对该基纸评价该印刷油墨对聚乙烯和对原纸两者的粘附性能。结果列在表2中。

对照例V1和V2
用实施例1中的印刷油墨涂覆照相原纸,使用聚乙酸乙烯酯(V1)和聚乙二醇(V2)作为粘合剂。
粘附性能试验
利用拉伸强度试验机(Lorentzen & Wettre)进行该试验。为此,从根据实施例1-14的制备的基纸上取15×200mm的测试样品,并且从这些样品上剥离聚乙烯层。按照70mm/分钟的剥离速度和180°的剥离角度的条件测试剥离力。
为了进行比较,使用只用聚乙烯(不用印刷油墨)涂覆的基纸并且也对它进行粘附性能测试。结果列于表3中。

Claims (8)
1.一种背面带有经过印刷的原纸的、涂有聚烯烃的照相基纸,其中用于印刷其背面的印刷油墨含有一种干扰颜料和一种水溶性和/或水分散性粘合剂,干扰颜料在印刷油墨中的百分比按重量计为10%-30%,颜料/粘合剂的重量比在1∶1-8∶1的范围内。
2.根据权利要求1所述的基纸,其特征在于干扰颜料是云母基颜料,其中云母颗粒涂有无机氧化物。
3.根据权利要求2所述的基纸,其特征在于云母颗粒涂有TiO2和/或Fe2O3。
4.根据权利要求1所述的基纸,其特征在于干扰颜料与半透明的油墨颜料组合使用。
5.根据权利要求1所述的基纸,其特征在于粘合剂可以是丙烯酸酯共聚物,苯乙烯/丁二烯共聚物,聚乙烯醇,聚乙烯吡咯烷酮和这些聚合物的混合物。
6.根据权利要求5所述的基纸,其特征在于粘合剂是聚乙烯醇。
7.根据权利要求6所述的基纸,其特征在于聚乙烯醇是具有低的和/或中等分子量的聚乙烯醇。
8.根据权利要求1所述的基纸,其特征在于印刷油墨含有其他的添加剂。
