Abstract
根据本发明的双螺杆挤出机(10)是如下的双螺杆挤出机(10),其中通过投入口(18)将强化纤维投入到在树脂进料部(13)中形成的熔融热塑性树脂中,并且使所得混合物经过捏合部(15)从而制造出纤维强化树脂组合物,其中:所述捏合部(15)设置在挤出机(10)的排出侧端部;在投入口(18)和捏合部(15)之间设置输送部(14);并且构成所述输送部(14)的螺杆元件(12b)的外径间隙(Sc)大于螺杆间隙(Ss)。
Description
技术领域
本发明涉及双螺杆挤出机,所述双螺杆挤出机防止作为粗纱投入的强化纤维的断线并且被用于制造含有具有可控纤维长度的强化纤维的纤维强化树脂组合物,和使用该双螺杆挤出机制造纤维强化树脂组合物的方法。
背景技术
纤维强化树脂在比强度、成形性等上是优异的,并且其应用领域已经扩大。在期待大量生产的汽车部件中,从对特殊汽车和特定部件的应用开始,纤维强化树脂的应用范围逐渐扩大,并且由于近来的环境问题等,存在汽车轻量化的迫切需要,并且期待加速纤维强化树脂对普通汽车部件的应用。
在纤维强化树脂向普通汽车部件的应用中,已经开发了利用玻璃纤维或碳纤维强化的、使用热塑性树脂作为基质的纤维强化树脂,并且需要加长包含在成形品中的强化纤维的纤维长度和增加强化纤维的含量。例如,专利文献1提出了一种纤维强化阻燃性热塑性树脂组合物、成形品和制造纤维强化阻燃性热塑性树脂组合物的方法。在该树脂组合物中的强化纤维的重量平均纤维长度优选为3mm以上并且更优选为5~50mm。在成形品中的强化纤维的重量平均纤维长度优选为1mm以上,更优选为1~10mm,进一步优选为1.2~8mm。此外,据描述在成形品中纤维长度为1mm以上的强化纤维的比率在全部强化纤维中优选为30重量%以上,更优选33~95重量%。
专利文献2提出了含有如下的长纤维强化聚酰胺树脂组合物:(A)20~80质量%的聚酰胺,所述聚酰胺具有优异强度、热强度、耐久性、低吸水性、和耐热稳定性,(B)20~80质量%的强化纤维,所述强化纤维具有1~15mm的重量平均纤维长度。作为实施例,在如下发明例的情况下显示,在小球状态下10mm的重量平均纤维长度变为在成形品中3.4~4.75mm的重量平均纤维长度,在所述发明例中玻璃纤维粗纱被导入浸渍模具中,利用从双螺杆挤出机供给的聚酰胺树脂浸渍,随后被拉出,并且由造粒机切割以制造长度为10mm的小球并且使用它们进行注射成形。另一方面,在如下比较例的情况下显示,在小球状态下0.27mm的重量平均纤维长度变为在成形品中0.23mm的重量平均纤维长度,在所述比较例中将聚酰胺树脂和短切玻璃纤维供给至双螺杆挤出机并且熔融捏合,将所得物在水冷浴中冷却和固化成为绳股形,随后制造长度为3mm的小球,并且使用它们进行注射成形。
专利文献3提出了通过如下获得的碳纤维强化树脂组合物:将10~300重量份的碳纤维(B)和1~100重量份的非结晶性树脂(C)掺合到100重量份的热塑性聚酰胺树脂(A)中,所述热塑性聚酰胺树脂(A)具有优异的机械性质、表面外观等,特别是优异的抗张强度、弯曲模量、外观/设计能力和尺寸稳定性。在通过如下获得的成形品中显示碳纤维的重量平均纤维长度为0.24~0.27mm:向双螺杆挤出机供给聚酰胺树脂和切成6.0mm的碳纤维(短纤维)并且将其熔融捏合,在水冷浴中将所得产物冷却并且固化为绳股形,随后制造长度为3.0mm的小球,并且使用它们进行注射成形。
专利文献4提出通过混入了强化纤维和粒状固体物的热塑性树脂的注射成形获得的树脂注射成形品,其中设定粒状固体物使得纵横比为1~5,平均粒径为10μm以下,掺合量为0.5~5重量%。示出了其中通过三种方法制造使用聚丙烯或聚酰胺树脂作为基质、以玻璃纤维或碳纤维强化的树脂成形品的实施例。
在所述三种方法中,第一方法为如下方法:通过将玻璃纤维或碳纤维的粗纱导入浸渍模具从而利用聚丙烯或聚酰胺树脂将其浸渍,然后拉出,并且由造粒机切割以制造柱状小球并且使用它们进行注射成形。第二方法为如下方法:凭借双螺杆挤出机将聚丙烯和玻璃纤维或碳纤维熔融捏合,在水冷浴中冷却并且固化为绳股形,随后切割以制造短切小球,并且对其进行注射成形。第三方法为如下方法:将聚丙烯和粗纱状玻璃纤维供给至双螺杆挤出机并且熔融捏合,并且将所得产物供给至注射成形机以进行成形。根据试验结果显示,由于粒状固体物的添加导致的润滑效果,强化纤维不易折断,并且在添加了粒状固体物的情况下,成形品的重量平均纤维长度为0.67~2.85mm。

发明内容
技术问题
在纤维强化树脂成形品的制造中,由于在挤出机中的熔融捏合期间或在注射成形期间强化纤维折断并且变短,所以在如在专利文献3中描述的使用短纤维的方法中,不容易制造含有重量平均长度为1mm以上的强化纤维的成形品。因此,为了制造其中纤维长度长的纤维强化树脂成形品,如在专利文献1、2或4中描述的,优选使用通过如下获得的小球进行注射成形的方法:将浸渍有热塑性树脂的强化纤维的粗纱切割为合适的长度。此外,该方法具有可将强化纤维的纤维长度调整为合适长度的优点,是因为强化纤维的长度等于小球的长度。
另一方面,作为在专利文献4中描述的第三方法,对刚通过将热塑性树脂和玻璃纤维的粗纱供给至双螺杆挤出机并且将其熔融捏合而获得的组合物进行注射成形的方法具有如下优点:可以制造重量平均纤维长度为1mm以上的纤维强化树脂成形品并且可以有效地制造纤维强化树脂成形品,是因为不需要如在专利文献1、2或4(第一方法)描述的方法中的用于制造纤维强化树脂组合物的小球的步骤和努力。
然而,在专利文献4中描述的第三方法使用玻璃纤维的粗纱但是重量平均纤维长度比在第一方法情况下的重量平均纤维长度更短。此外,专利文献4没有描述其中使用碳纤维的粗纱的实施例。为了将纤维强化树脂应用至一般汽车部件,需要纤维强化树脂成形品的有效制造和经济效率,此外,需要能加长在成形品中的强化纤维的纤维长度并且能增加含量的制造方法。此外,需要在没有小球的制造步骤和特殊添加剂的情况下能够将强化纤维的纤维长度调整至合适长度的制造纤维强化树脂组合物的方法。
鉴于这种常规问题和需求,本发明的目的是提供制造纤维强化树脂组合物的方法,所述方法能够加长成形品的强化纤维的纤维长度并且能够通过向双螺杆挤出机供给热塑性树脂和强化纤维的粗纱来增加含量。
技术方案
根据本发明的双螺杆挤出机为如下的双螺杆挤出机:其中通过投入口将强化纤维投入到在树脂进料部中形成的熔融热塑性树脂中,并且所述强化纤维和熔融热塑性树脂经过捏合部从而制造出纤维强化树脂组合物,其中:所述捏合部设置在双螺杆挤出机的排出侧端部;在所述投入口和所述捏合部之间设置输送部;并且构造所述输送部的螺杆元件的外径间隙(tipclearance)大于螺杆间隙。在此,外径间隙是指在双螺杆挤出机的圆筒的内周面和螺杆(螺杆元件)的外缘之间的最小间隙。螺杆间隙是指在双螺杆挤出机的相对螺杆(螺杆元件)之间的最小间隙。
在以上发明中,输送部的L/D可以为3以上并且捏合部的L/D可以为0.5~4.0。在此,L/D是指所谓的L/D比,并且是指螺杆元件的外缘的直径D对双螺杆挤出机的长度L的比。
此外,可以在捏合部的下游设置L/D为1以上的后输送部。
此外,在以上发明中,可以在输送部和捏合部之间设置通过螺杆元件构造的纤维松弛部,构造所述纤维松弛部的螺杆元件的最小外周长的值小于构造所述输送部的螺杆元件的最小外周长的值。构造纤维松弛部的螺杆元件可以为鱼雷头螺杆。
此外,在捏合部的上游,销(pin)可以从双螺杆挤出机的圆筒向螺杆元件突出,所述螺杆元件具有不与所述销干涉的间隙。所述销从圆筒的突出量可以为0.1D以上。
此外,本发明的双螺杆挤出机为如下的双螺杆挤出机:其中通过投入口将粗纱状强化纤维投入到在树脂进料部中形成的熔融热塑性树脂中,并且所述强化纤维和所述熔融热塑性树脂经过捏合部从而制造出纤维强化树脂组合物,其中:所述捏合部设置在双螺杆挤出机的排出侧端部;在所述投入口和所述捏合部之间设置输送部;并且构造所述输送部的各个螺杆元件的外径间隙大于螺杆间隙,使得粗纱状强化纤维在所述输送部中彼此啮合的所述螺杆元件的外周之上被拉伸的同时进行输送。
根据本发明的制造纤维强化树脂组合物的方法为使用双螺杆挤出机制造纤维强化树脂组合物的方法,其中将粗纱状强化纤维投入到在树脂进料部中形成的熔融热塑性树脂中,所述强化纤维和所述熔融热塑性树脂依次经过输送部和捏合部从而制造出纤维强化树脂组合物,其中:在所述输送部中以紧绷的状态输送所述粗纱状强化纤维;以及在所述捏合部中以松弛的状态切断并且捏合所述粗纱状强化纤维。粗纱是指玻璃、碳纤维等的细丝的纤维束,和连续的线状或绳状的纤维束。措辞粗纱状是指这种纤维束的形态。
在以上制造纤维强化树脂组合物的方法中,可以在从输送部导入至捏合部中的粗纱状强化纤维的流线的一部分中生成扰动。
有益效果
根据本发明的双螺杆挤出机,可以成形能够加长成形品的强化纤维的纤维长度并且能够增加含量的纤维强化树脂组合物。此外,使用该纤维强化树脂组合物,可以有效地制造其中对强化纤维的纤维长度进行调整并且对含量进行调整的纤维强化树脂成形品。当通过本发明的双螺杆挤出机成形的纤维强化树脂组合物以维持在高温的状态供给至注射成形机时,可以有效地制造纤维强化树脂成形品。

具体实施方式
以下将基于附图描述进行本发明的方式。图1(a)和图1(b)为示出本发明的双螺杆挤出机的实施例的示意图。如在图1(a)中所示,双螺杆挤出机10在圆筒11中具有螺杆12,并且从上游侧朝向下游侧包含树脂进料部13、输送部14、捏合部15和后输送部16。树脂进料部13、输送部14、捏合部15和后输送部16分别具有螺杆12的螺杆元件12a、12b、12c和12d。在树脂进料部13中形成熔融热塑性树脂,并且设置有用于向熔融热塑性树脂投入强化纤维的投入口18。
在双螺杆挤出机10中,树脂进料部13是其中形成必要的熔融热塑性树脂的部分。树脂进料部13可以具有从投入口23投入热塑性树脂以形成熔融热塑性树脂的形态,或可以像串列式挤出机一样具有与在上游侧连接的第一段挤出机一起形成树脂进料部13的形态。在树脂进料部13和捏合部15之间设置输送部14。输送部14是用于将从投入口18投入的强化纤维和在树脂进料部13中形成的熔融热塑性树脂向捏合部15输送并且将其混合的部分。
如在图1(b)中所示,在双螺杆挤出机10的输送部14中,构造所述输送部14的螺杆元件12b的外径间隙Sc大于螺杆间隙Ss。关于外径间隙Sc或螺杆间隙Ss的实际尺寸,根据要使用的强化纤维的材料和尺寸、双螺杆挤出机的规格等选择最合适的尺寸。在输送部14中,确定外径间隙Sc的尺寸和螺杆间隙Ss的尺寸以使得成为如下的状态:以不产生断线的紧绷状态输送粗纱状的强化纤维,并且如在图2中所示,强化纤维31在输送部中彼此啮合的螺杆元件的外周之上被拉伸的同时进行输送。作为构造这种输送部14的螺杆元件,例如可以使用具有厚的齿根直径(rootdiameter)和降低的外径的全螺纹螺杆。
双螺杆挤出机10的捏合部15是用于捏合和分断与熔融热塑性树脂一起输送的强化纤维的粗纱并且均匀地分散该粗纱的部分。为了发挥捏合部15的功能,首先,使以紧绷状态输送的强化纤维的粗纱松弛是合适的。为了该目的,设置由螺杆元件构造的纤维松弛部是合适的,在所述纤维松弛部中,螺杆元件的最小外周长的值小于输送部的螺杆元件的最小外周长的值。作为构造纤维松弛部的螺杆元件,例如可以使用鱼雷头螺杆。顺便提及,鱼雷头螺杆是其中外径为没有任何螺纹的短径的螺杆元件。
作为捏合部15的螺杆元件,可以使用捏合盘、齿轮捏合盘、或具有高分布性能的逆导向螺纹螺杆元件等。通过输送部14的螺杆元件的构造和捏合部15的螺杆元件的构造,可以加长纤维强化树脂组合物的强化纤维的纤维长度,并且提高其含量。可以将强化纤维的纤维长度调整为在优选1mm以上、更优选1~100mm的范围内的长度。此外,按体积比可含有高达约30%的强化纤维(按重量比为40%)。
此外,在双螺杆挤出机10中,虽然不一定限制位置,但是在纤维松弛部或输送部14的后端部和捏合部15的上游,如在图3中所示使销19从双螺杆挤出机10的圆筒11向着螺杆元件12f突出是合适的。通过销19,可以在从输送部14向捏合部15导入的粗纱状强化纤维的流线的一部分处生成扰动,并且可以防止因不充分分断或切断而产生的排出的长纤维混入纤维强化树脂组合物中。销19从圆筒11的内周面突出0.1×圆筒内径(Di)以上是合适的。在突出这种销19的情况下,螺杆元件具有不与销19干涉的间隙。顺便提及,Di几乎与在树脂进料部或捏合部中的螺杆元件的外缘的直径D相等。
输送部14的L/D合适地为3以上。捏合部15的L/D可以为0.5~4.0并且根据强化纤维的目标纤维长度选择合适的值。当捏合部15的L/D大时,切断强化纤维的次数增加,从而纤维长度变短。在适当地切断和分散强化纤维后,立即从双螺杆挤出机10排出强化纤维以防止不必要的切断是合适的。为了该目的,在双螺杆挤出机10的排出端部设置捏合部15是合适的。然而,为了稳定地排出捏合的强化纤维组合物,可以设置后输送部16。后输送部16的L/D可以为1以上。
实施例
凭借具有在图1中所示构造的双螺杆挤出机(株式会社日本制钢所制双螺杆挤出机Tex44)进行制造纤维强化树脂组合物的试验。将聚酰胺6树脂(PA6)用作热塑性树脂,将其中将纤维直径为7μm的单纤维集束的粗纱状碳纤维用作强化纤维。
在双螺杆挤出机中,通过标准全螺纹螺杆(标准FF)、其中外径间隙Sc大于螺杆间隙Ss并且螺杆间隙Ss大于标准FF的全螺纹螺杆(FF1)或其中外径间隙Sc大于螺杆间隙Ss并且螺杆间隙Ss等于标准FF的全螺纹螺杆(FF2)构造输送部。输送部的L/D为12。
通过标准捏合盘(KD)或者通过鱼雷头螺杆(TR)与具有一条凹槽的逆导向螺纹螺杆(BMS)的组合来构造捏合部。捏合部的L/D为1。在双螺杆挤出机的排出侧端部设置捏合部,在设置该捏合部之后,在排出侧最末端部设置后输送部(L/D=1)。此外,在捏合部之前(表1的通气孔(vent)栏(之前),通气孔25)或之后设置通气孔。
在存在或不存在从双螺杆挤出机的圆筒突出的销19的情况下进行了制造试验。销的突出量为0.20Di,外径为0.23Di,在设置鱼雷头螺杆的位置部分设置销。
表1示出试验结果。在表1中,断线是指在粗纱进入双螺杆挤出机的地方(输送部)线断掉,并且熔融树脂聚集到线断掉的部分,从而生成以熔融树脂局部浸渍过剩的部分和浸渍不足的部分,由此纤维强化树脂组合物的品质劣化。纤维长度是指平均纤维长度(mm),并且关于平均纤维长度,“长”指示约30mm,“中”指示约25mm,“短”指示10~1mm。湍振(surging)是指双螺杆挤出机内部的填充度和捏合的状态周期性大幅波动的不稳定现象。短传(shortpass)是指粗纱由于捏合不足而作为未切断/未分散的粗纱(具有50mm以上的长度)排出,并且这种粗纱在混入产品中时劣化品质。
当对表1中的发明例5和比较例1的结果进行比较时,输送部的各个螺杆元件的效果被明确示出:在发明例的情况下没有生成断线,但是在比较例(常规方法)的情况下生成了断线。因此,在比较例的情况下,难以平稳地制造纤维强化树脂组合物。在发明例5的情况下,因为通过标准捏合盘来构造捏合部的螺杆元件,所以强化纤维的纤维长度变短。
此外,如在表1中所示,根据发明例1,揭示了可以制造具有使得强化纤维的平均纤维长度为约30mm的长纤维长度的纤维强化树脂组合物。此外,如在发明例1~5中所示,揭示了根据本发明,可以制造其中强化纤维的平均纤维长度为1mm以上并且强化纤维的纤维长度得以调整的纤维强化树脂组合物。

当对发明例3和发明例4进行比较时,显示短传的生成取决于销的有无,由此揭示,清楚地示出了所述销的效果。此外,当对发明例2和发明例3进行比较时,揭示了通气孔和捏合部的位置关系影响强化纤维的平均纤维长度。顺便提及,在发明例2~5中,虽然程度小但是观察到了湍振。为了防止湍振的生成,据理解进一步调整螺杆元件的构造、L/D等是必要的。
虽然已经参照其具体实施方式详细描述了本发明,但是对于本领域技术人员显而易见的是,在不背离其主旨和范围的情况下可以在其中做出各种变化和修改。本申请基于在2013年8月23日提交的日本专利申请号2013-173948,并且将所述内容通过参考并入本文中。

Claims (10)
1.一种双螺杆挤出机,其中通过投入口将强化纤维投入到在树脂进料部中形成的熔融热塑性树脂中,并且所述强化纤维和所述熔融热塑性树脂经过捏合部从而制造出纤维强化树脂组合物,其中:
所述捏合部设置在所述双螺杆挤出机的排出侧端部;
在所述投入口和所述捏合部之间设置输送部;以及
构造所述输送部的螺杆元件的外径间隙大于螺杆间隙。
2.根据权利要求1所述的双螺杆挤出机,其中所述输送部的L/D为3以上并且所述捏合部的L/D为0.5~4.0。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的双螺杆挤出机,其中在所述捏合部的下游设置L/D为1以上的后输送部。
4.根据权利要求1~3中的任一项所述的双螺杆挤出机,其中在所述输送部和所述捏合部之间设置由螺杆元件构造的纤维松弛部,构造所述纤维松弛部的螺杆元件的最小外周长的值小于构造所述输送部的螺杆元件的最小外周长的值。
5.根据权利要求4所述的双螺杆挤出机,其中构造所述纤维松弛部的螺杆元件为鱼雷头螺杆。
6.根据权利要求1~5中的任一项所述的双螺杆挤出机,其中在所述捏合部的上游,销从所述双螺杆挤出机的圆筒向螺杆元件突出,所述螺杆元件具有不与所述销干涉的间隙。
7.根据权利要求6所述的双螺杆挤出机,其中所述销从所述圆筒的突出量为0.1D以上。
8.一种双螺杆挤出机,其中通过投入口将粗纱状强化纤维投入到在树脂进料部中形成的熔融热塑性树脂中,并且所述强化纤维和所述熔融热塑性树脂经过捏合部从而制造出纤维强化树脂组合物,其中:
所述捏合部设置在所述双螺杆挤出机的排出侧端部;
在所述投入口和所述捏合部之间设置输送部;以及
构造所述输送部的各个螺杆元件的外径间隙大于螺杆间隙,使得粗纱状强化纤维在所述输送部中彼此啮合的所述螺杆元件的外周上被拉伸的同时进行输送。
9.一种使用双螺杆挤出机制造纤维强化树脂组合物的方法,其中将粗纱状强化纤维投入到在树脂进料部中形成的熔融热塑性树脂中,所述强化纤维和所述熔融热塑性树脂依次经过输送部和捏合部从而制造出纤维强化树脂组合物,其中:
在所述输送部中以紧绷状态输送所述粗纱状强化纤维;以及
在所述捏合部中以松弛状态切断并且捏合所述粗纱状强化纤维。
10.根据权利要求9所述的制造纤维强化树脂组合物的方法,其中在从所述输送部导入至所述捏合部中的所述粗纱状强化纤维的流线的一部分中生成扰动。
